Hi, I have a doubt if a Rx 550 will work on my 180w psu. I can't upgrade the psu because it sticks out side the case Dell Vostro 3710 sff i3 12100 Nvme 500gb sad 8gb Ddr4 3200mhz ram And a Bluetooth and wifi card I do got a good laptop with a 3060 but I wanna know because me and sister wanna play Ark survival evolved togather.

This problem only affects rust for some reason, all other games are fine. It crashes every time I play it, sometimes while loading into a server and other times randomly while playing. 1440p has increased the frequency of crashes but it was still happening beforehand. Average temps under full load (60-70 degrees). GPU usage is always maxed out while CPU sits around 40-60% usage. RAM normally sits at 15.5gb usage. Turning up the voltage into my CPU seems to only delay the crashing. My errors are different every time but recently it's been "UnityPlayer.dll". I've performed a stress test which revealed no problems and I can't replicate the crashing at all. I've reset overclocks and tried increasing voltage but nothing works. I haven't reset my PC in 4 years, could this be a differential? PC specs: CPU-I7 9700k GPU-1080 G1 16gb RAM- 16gb 3000mhz dual channel (2 and 4 bit) Motherboard:Z390 Aorus pro Power supply:650 watts 80 gold plus Corsair Any help would be appreciated :)

My GPU temps are high and I want to change the thermal paste to the Thermal grizzly Conductonaut. It wont stick nor spread on the bare copper heat pipe surface of the GPU heatsink. I have cleaned the surface multiple times with isopropyl alcohol with no change in result. I suspect the copper surface is too smooth so the LM wont stick. What grade of (grit) sandpaper(s) to use to sand down the copper surface? if this not the right place to ask this kind of question can you please direct me to the correct forum? Thank you.

I recently got a used 3060 Phoenix, works flawlessly except for how the fan runs very loud - it seems like 100% - all the time. However, no software is recognising the fan (all say 0 rpm) -- This problem occurs after startup, --The fan works regularly (not like a jet engine) in motherboard BIOS, Safe mode, and after uninstalling the graphics card drivers. -- the moment any Nvidia graphics drivers are installed the fan instantly goes to jet mode -- when none are on the system it works fine. -- no software can change the fan rpm from 0 ( when fan speed is changed from 30% nothing happens) -- GPU is chilled at 23-27 degrees at idle -- I deshrouded and reapplied thermal paste and disconnected and connected the fan from GPU - the problem still happens Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hello, so i know there is a similar post but with some differences on my specs. I'm thinking of buying the rx 6700xt for gaming and streaming on Twitch but i hear a lot of people say no because of the encoding that has problems with Twitch. Note that i cannot stream on 6000 bitrate because of my internet connection (even though i have 10mbps upload speed my bandwidth doesn't reach this mbps idk why) Do you think it's gonna be a good idea buying this one or should i go for a 3060 12GB? I know the performance is worse than the 6700xt but in terms of streaming i can go a bit lower on graphics since i dont play this much of a demanding games. Or you think going on lower GB of VRAM for the 4060 8GB is another solution?

My previous pc recently broke, Im unsure what parts work/dont all i know is that my motherboard is most likely the cause of the problem. currently building a new system, replacing the motherboard, cpu, psu and fans and am just wondering if plugging in the old GPU (Gigabyte 3060 OC), Ram (2x8 ddr4) and SSD (500g or sum) that MAY be fried kill the whole new rig and cause me to go into debt. also, is there any way i can test this gpu with only a psu?

What it says in the title, what PSU and GPU should I pair with my 7950X3D (thinking on going AMD for GPU but haven't used one since my old RX580). Note that the case may be a limitation but I'm open to modifying this. I’m currently in a state of indecision of which is a better card and which one will give me the most miles for my money. Currently I own a 2060 super and an amd 5 5500 and thinking of upgrading around Christmas time to a ryzen 7 and a better gpu. The choice of gpu is the question however especially with having prices basically $10 of each-other. Most resources online are made about a year or 8 months ago and says the 770 needs better drivers to surpass the 4060 and 6700xt. Now the drivers have been cooking for the 770 would it be a wise choice to go with the intel gpu over amd/nvidia for **1440p Gaming** (if not which is the better choice for ‘future proofing’ and performance). Hello! i'm thinking of buying a new graphics card, i've been looking at some reviews and some specific models, i'm more inclined towards graphics cards with an amd chip. A brand that came up a lot in my research was xfx, I would like you to help me get to know this brand better, in terms of performance, reliability and aesthetics, what do you guys think of the brand's graphics and if you have had any experience with the brand, could you share your experiences? I recently have been upgrading an old HP Pavillion p7-1236s for a friend. I had a compatible Xeon laying around that was better than the i3 that was in it before, however the Xeon has no integrated graphics so I put an R7 250 in it just so it can get a display, however there is no signal from any of the ports. The fan on the card spins up, and the rest of the system posts and is responsive. I was afraid it was the card, but I tested it in several other systems and it displayed fine. Then I was afraid it was the motherboard PCIe slot, but I tested an RX 560 and it displayed fine. I believe it has to do with the fact the RX 560 has an additional 6 pin power connector, while the R7 250 uses just power from the PCIe slot. I think the PCIe slot is not providing enough power to the graphics card. Is there any way to fix this? I checked around the bios, but with it being a HP prebuilt, the settings were very limited. Hello , I have recently started having issues with my gtx 1660. Everytime i stay in a game continously for 10+ minutes it gives wierd artifacts and sound glitches on the entire screen and it either crashes completely restarting the system , freezes OR the screen comes back on like nothing even happened. Even my game doesn't disconnect from server when that third scenario happens. I ran DDU in safe mode twice uninstalling gpu and audio drivers. While i did this i unchecked the "auto windows update driver" checkbox at the very bottom. So after i did all that reinstalling and uninstalling gpu drivers and restarted , the computer seemed to work fine , i ran a cinebench benchmark for the entire 10 minutes and it scored 3000 something score so i know there is nothing wrong with the card performance. The issues started to happen again once i restarted my pc the next day and i ran cinebench again which crashed the pc , i have wiped drivers and reinstalled again in safe mode and currently running cinebench gpu test without any issues. Tried reseating card, tried different 6+2 connector. Nothing works , only thing i haven't done yet is try a fresh install of windows and different dvi cable. Any help would be appreciated.

I have a nvidia 1070 that i havent played a game on in 10 months. My buddy wanted me to get escape from tarkov. When i got it going my frames in the menu and game were super low. I then went to geforce experience and had it adjust my settings. No change. Then i went to a game that worked well in the past. Dying light. And it also has low frames. I updated the drivers from the geforce experience program. And used malwarebytes to clean up anything that may cause my issue. What else could the problem be?

Hey. Hope you can help. Powered up my pc today and noticed a vertical line going top to bottom on my screen. I can only describe it as a visual artifact. It flickers constantly. Only really noticeable on darker backgrounds. RTX 3090 connected to an LG C9 OLED via a HDMI 2.1 cable. I've updated the drivers in geforce experience. I've tried a different cable, and I've tried different hdmi port on the TV. The TV doesn't show the issue on anything other than the pc. There's only one hdmi port on the card so I tried a Display port to HDMI adapter and the issue has gone, but now it can only do 1080p 60hz. My guess is that the low res and refresh is a limitation of the adapter more than anything else, but it still allows HDR. What do you think? Broken hdmi port on the graphics card? Could I get a better display port to HDMI adapter to get 4k 120 VRR again?

Started a few days ago when every once in a while during gaming, my GPU would crash and go a black screen followed by a full PC crash. I thought might be my GPU cable so when I checked the cable I found the header to be a little burnt. I had no spare cables, so I just made sure the connection was solid and kept going for a while. Got advice from someone to replace my power supply but I wasn't convinced it was related to the power supply and maybe only the cable. Fast forward to today and the GPU is crashing like never before. At a point, it started crashing as soon as Windows loaded. Loading windows in safe mode disables my GPU and its drivers and everything works just fine. When I reenabled the GPU and restarted my pc it started crashing on start-up again. I suspected it might be a software issue instead and when my PC finally did manage to boot, trying to open the AMD software gave me a notice saying something along the lines of "AMD software is not compatible with the current version of AMD drivers." So I reinstalled the drivers but to no avail. It crashed after around 30 minutes again and has been crashing on start-up unless I boot into safe mode. Safe mode seems to show no trouble at all. The GPU fans seem to spin up from time to time to keep cool as well. I should note that this problem has occurred before. Popped up for the first time last year when the GPU started crashing during long gaming sessions. When I checked the cable, it was badly burned. I had a spare cable back then so changing it solved the problem temporarily until now. FYI the cable is a six pin cable and not all of the pins are getting burnt. Only 3 pins are getting burnt where one of the pins at the outer corner is getting burnt the most. So I need help identifying the real reason behind this issue and figuring out how to fix it. TIA

Hello, I'm building a pc for a friend and I'm still unsure wich GPU to buy. The other parts are - Ryzen 5 7600 - 16 gb DDR5 6000 On a B650 motherboard. I think my two options for GPU are an rtx4060 (330euros) and an RX6700-XT(350euros) I don't really know which one is better or more future-proof, as that is also something to consider. I think he only has an 1080p display (with freesync and gsync.) The second-hand market is not an option in this build. Can anyone help me out?

I am about to build my first complete system (I have done repairs and upgrades before), and I want to get a good used GPU. I would prefer amd, but will buy whatever is the best bang for the buck. This Pc is going to be mostly used for Gaming (Mostly Minecraft, Cities Skylines 2, Star Wars Battlefront 2, & Horizon Forbidden West when it releases on PC), I will also be using it for game development and vr, as well as music making. I am looking for something around $250 USD. Other Specs Ryzen 5 5600x 16gb ram 1tb nvme 500w Power Supply (I am able upgrade this if needed) Here are some GPU's I am currently considering, but I am open to suggestions. Ive had my PC for a few years now but recently while updating drivers I noticed my PC recognizes my 3070ti as a 3060ti, Ive had no performance issues or anything really but this concerns me as it could be installing undesirable drivers. This seems super weird to me Id really like to figure out whats happening exactly. Ive tried reinstalling drivers, I have also installed Asus OC software to confirm that its running at the speed of a 3070ti which it is to my knowledge. Any info or help would be greatly appreciated. Drove w/ my computer across state, old hard drive that had my OS on it died from the drivr so was doing general troubleshooting (aka changing boot drive, clearing cmos when I messed up as amateur pc enthusiasts do from time to time) and after changing the boot drive to one of my SSD’s for the #th time this is what’s happening whenever I boot my PC. I can’t get into BIOS, I can’t do anything. I tried getting a bootable Windows Flashdrive as I believed the issue was I didn’t have an OS on any of my working drives but that didn’t seem to fix the issue. Did I mess up another component in my system when I was doing my troubleshooting? I don’t think this is a boot issue anymore and maybe a graphics card/motherboard issue type situation but I want some extra opinions before I make any financial decisions. Please and thank you

I traded My 2060 Super Founders Edition for a XFX Swift 6700XT. After installing new GPU it would not complete the POST and got stopped at the VGA section. I have the minimum power supply recommended ,650 watts, so I don't believe it is a power issue. I then removed the CMOS battery on my Gigabyte G365 HD3 motherboard which allowed me to get the system to boot using onboard graphics. After this the system does not recognize the card in the Adrenaline auto install software. I have updated the BIOS from its previous F3 from 2019 to F5 from 2021 and deleted Geforce Experience. I am at a loss at what to do now as I've tried everything I could find to do online.

Hello all, I really need help for this, I'm having black screen of deathissues with my PC, it happens mostly in vr chat when the vram is really pushed, it's happened in cyberpunk maxed out as well, the specs are R7 5800x 3d Rtx 3090 strix 32 gigs of 3600mhz cl18 Formerly had a 750w evga power supply and tried upgrading to a strix 1000w power supply and have the same issue, I thought it was that one of the 8 pins where splitted from the last psu causing the issue, but the new psu I put in today has 3 separate 8 pins, and I still have the same issue, when the card is undervolted the issue is not as bad, the card never overheats, but I'm definitely putting the gddr6x modules down as a suspect

The RTX Cards have Tensor Cores which I think might be beneficial for when I explore Deep Learning. I also do a bit of light gaming on the side (can’t really find a lot of time these days) just 1080p 144hz with a secondary monitor just running at 1080p 60hz. Which GPU should I buy? I’m thinking of upgrading my CPU later down the line to the Ryzen 7 5800X3D so I don’t want a GPU that will bottleneck that. Any suggestions?

So i was just playing some ready or not. When my screens went black and my computer restarted. Its happened before so i didnt think much of it and got my back into my game when the same thing happens again. I then let it reboot into windows again, but it doesnt put me into windows. I start looking inside my pc and see that my graphics cards fans arent spinning (gtx 1650 super from gigabyte). And theres a green light on my motherboard (Asus b450f gaming). I did some research and saw that some other people have had the same thing happen to them and they said that they tried a new graphics card and it worked fine again. Im guessing that im gonna have to get a new gpu too then? And thats another concern for me as i’ve got a Ryzen 5 3600 and since its very hard for me to get a 20 series card im curious if a 3050 would pair well with a 3600? Excuse the bad english, im from sweden and my english is not the greatest.
