Hi, I've recently built my new system and it runs wonders, but I've started to notice that it is slightly bent on the right side of the backplate, above the power cables. Should I be concerned? What are the options I can take? I'm thinking among the lines of using cardboard and ducktape to make a stand to support it or something.

Hello everyone, I built a new PC last week and since I'm having some video glitch issues. *see attachment below* The video window glitches out and fixes itself randomly, this is getting more frequent everyday and I can't figure out what's causing the issue. I just tried running some games, but they just worked fine, except for once while tinkering with the game resolution settings (it was too quick to take screenshot). This mostly occurs in Youtube in Chrome, but probably because I only use chrome for video streaming. I've tried updating graphics drivers, reinstalling chrome but didn't help. Anyone might have any idea what's causing the issue and help me fix this? Specs: Monitor: Dell SE2216H i7 8700k NO Graphics card Corsair vengeance 16 GB (3000Mhz) ASUS ROG Z370-G (non-WiFi) OS : Windows 10 Pro (64-bit v1709)

Hello, Is it any better to buy the OC version of any specific card over the reference/stock version of it, when you can easily overclock it yourself afterwards? Overclocked from the box cards are generally more expensive than the stock versions, and that is understandable, but is it any better than a custom/self overclocked stock card? do we get any improvement in thermals or anything? or is it just a marketing gimmick?

Hey there. I would like to buy myself a new Graphics Card. I mainly play low requirement games like esport titles and guild wars 2 because i am playing AAA Titles on my PS4. So i am thinking about what graphics card to get. I had a look on the GTX 1060 but i am not sure if that is good or if there is a better one. Like RX580 but that one is too expensive due to mining Also... how much gddr5 ram do i need? Is 3 or 4 gb enough or should i get 6 or 8 gb?

Here are my specs: Power Supply Corsair CX500 Processor AMD FX(tm)-8320 Eight-Core Processor (8 CPUs), ~3.5GHz Motherboard ASUSTek M5A78L-M/USB3 Memory 8192MB RAM DDR3 GPU NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 I built my PC around 2 Years ago and I'm really excited for Battlefield 1 and I would like run it as best as I can, right now I'm only getting 30-40 FPS on low and it can drop down to as low as 10 in high action areas. Should I just upgrade my GPU or just save up for a whole new PC. First time posting to LTTF sorry if I broke a rule or something. Thanks in advance.

Hello my name is sam. I am looking to get a external graphics card for my laptop running a i3 processor and 8gb of ram. I do not know what graphics card I will get yet. But do you think that I can do 3D editing with this kind of setup using this adapter link will be below. I am currently working on a basic text animation at 600 samples and 720p 25 fps and it takes about 14mins a frame so I am looking to kinda give my laptop a boost. I can't build my own desktop right now not because I don't know how but I just cant afford it right now. Please let me know what you all think any help would be great. I have an AMD R7 M260 and an AMD HD 8610G. I know they can run most games, they run Battlefield 4 at a decent 20-30 fps (I've never been above 30 in my life so it doesn't bother me). A friend suggested I try Runescape again for shits and giggles, but the game tells me my cards are like 382 days out of date? I've tried checking for updates via my Device Manager, and said friend suggested Driver Booster 3.5 which helped a bit with some other things out of date. Not sure what I'm looking for though when it comes to manually updating my drivers? I tried downloading off the AMD site once and using the auto detect feature but it gave me problems and installed Raptr on my computer which then caused all these other problems. So I'm at a loss here. I also have the issue of not knowing when my R7 M260 kicks in, when I play games like Overwatch it still says i'm using the HD 8610G in the settings. Which I shouldn't be, because it's the integrated not the dedicated. My laptop is sadly discontinued but the closest thing I found was this All it's missing from that page is the Radeon HD 8610G, which i don't know why. Any help would be much help and highly appreciated.

Hey, so I got a new PC and among the first few games that I installed was Need For Speed. However, it shows a lot of white dots on reflective surfaces, and I don't know if the graphics card is dying. It's more noticeable in-game but also in this live-action/pre-rendered shot (headlights, mostly) https://streamable.com/kp50 What do you guys think? Is the GPU dead?

Hello Linusians , I have a Mac Mini Late 2012 Model and everyone knows that it lacks a GPU. So, I wanted to add a external GPU and so I did my Research on the Internet and came to know about Bizon and few other companies that makes these cases which enables you to connect a Desktop GPU but getting all that technology is very Expensive so I went on and did a little more Research and Found a PCIE Adaptor like this one Below ( http://www.banggood.com/Mini-PCI-E-Version-V8_0-EXP-GDC-Beast-Laptop-External-Independent-Video-Card-Dock-p-1011222.html?p=K815143021105201511J ) Now, the thing is that the above mentioned adapter uses a HDMI to mini PCIe to connect with the laptop! My Question is can I use a HDMI to Thunderbolt Cable to connect this adapter to my Mac mini Late 2012 ? If Yes, Are there any drawbacks? If No, Then are there any cheap solutions besides buying that case for $500 ? Thanks in Advance

Hey There, Some weeks ago a class mate asks me (for his friend and he asks for his friend), to do some researches for his new PC. To Location and Budget: We are located in Germany, so we have Euro. Budget is about 1000€ and he wants an Intel CPU. The final user of this is not an IT Pro. He just uses it, as far as I know. So for the base components I decided for: Intel Core -7 6700, boxed MSI B150M Mortar (7972-002R) Corsair Vengeance LPX black DIMM Kit 8GB, DDR4-2133, CL13-15-15-28 Kingston HyperX Savage SSD 120GB, SATA (SHSS37A/120G) Western Digital WD Blue 1TB, 64MB Cache, SATA 6Gb/s (WD10EZEX) LG Electronics GH24NSD1 black (just in case he will ever need it) XFX Pro Series Full Wired Edition (Bronze) 850W ATX 2.3 (P1-850S-NLB9) Zalman ZM-T4 So, all this could run without extra graphic card, but he want to game on it (and Intel HD is not good at gaming ). I don't know what titles, BUT it is definitely not Minecraft or some of these CPU based Games. With this in mind I searched for graphic card(s) and came finally to the point, where I cannot really decide, what graphic card(s) is better or not: nVidia solution with one Zotac GeForce GTX 970 AMP!, 4GB GDDR5, DVI, HDMI, 3x DisplayPort (ZT-90110-10P) or AMD with one or maybe two Sapphire Radeon R9 380 Nitro OC, 4GB GDDR5, 2x DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort, lite retail (11242-13-20G) Please Note: Because selling sites like amazon have a higher price than other sites, I uses a price listing website to compare components. Here I used geizhals.de - it has also in English version, so you may can look up easily The "Builds" with AMD Graphic: http://geizhals.de/?cat=WL-678254 and with nVidia: http://geizhals.de/?cat=WL-678259 At least I want to know from you: What will be your decision? Which Graphical Compute Unit would you choose and why? And how do you find the build at all (can some components be better or is it ok) ? Thanks for helping me out. Greetings Xumanta PS: I hope my English is not too bad Edit: Fans are ignored for now - i will include them later

Hi, I know it's a big ask but I suck at graphic design so I was wondering if someone would be able to make me some images for a little project I am doing with my PC. It's called Proyekt Reaktor and it's a purpled/chrome/black themed build (Radioactivity, Russia, You get the idea). I would be extremely grateful if someone could help me on this part as I want to do the project justice but my computer design in art goes as far as MS Paint. Also, if someone could give me some tips on creating graphics that would be great as well. Any help is greatly appreciated and sorry for the bugging for free stuff

Hi i am looking for the best 1440p GPU i can get, i have 780$ to spend on it. I dont care if its nvidia or ATI (amd). A single card would be best so i dont have to tinker with the SLI profile.

So here is my issue, I do guess it is not fine, so, I am aware this GPU needs two 8 pin connectors INTO it. My PSU is a EVGA SuperNOVA G2 650W, the VGA psu cabels that came with it are, ONE long end which has 8 pins (that goes into the PSU itself I assume). The two shorter ones are 6 and 6+2. So I cant run it right? there will two holes not filling the GPU so it aint fine to run it right? My other issue is actually finding that sort of a psu cabel..

Hi everybody, I'm a big fun of kinda old audio hardware (amplifiers, CD players, cassette decks, tuners etc). Mainly late 80s/ early 90s. Anyway, lately I've bought a graphic equalizer Technics SH-GE70 from 1990 and after using it for a couple of weeks I came up to the conclusion, that's a really helpful and useful device in your audio system. So I decided to go to a few audio stores and see how nowadays graphic equalizer for home have changed. And... I was quickly realized that nobody makes them anymore. Why?
