Hello, I need some help with a suitable graphic card for my pc. I have an Intel i7 8700 paired currently with an ASUS 710 2gb card. I am not happy with the rendering speed for my 3D interior design for homes. This is my sole purpose for using the pc. 3D modelling and rendering.

I got 2 GTX 750 Ti cards for 5$ each. I know they're old cards but here in Philippines they still go for 55$ - 65$ which I can use to buy a 1060. The cards are from Palit but differ in design. Palit GTX 750 Ti StormX OC (Single Fan) Graphics Clock 1085MHz / Boost Clock 1163MHz Palit GTX 750 Ti StormX Dual (Dual Fan) Graphics Clock 1202MHz / Boost Clock 1281MHz I benchmarked them on my Mother's PC before selling them and I got quite weird(?) results. And I'm not really sure why... none of them were OC'd (when benchmarking and from original owners) Mom's PC specs: Intel I3 4170 8GB DDR3 H81M DS3V 400W PSU 1080p HD Monitor TV. I used Furmark and Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor as benchmarking softwares since I don't really have much choice. My Unigene.Heaven download was corrupted, and I can't afford 3DMark. Here are the results: Single Fan: Furmark | Average 38 fps | 65 C / 149 F Shadow of Mordor: Medium Settings | Average 59 fps | 69 C / 156.2 Dual Fan: Furmark | Average 32 fps | 57 C / 140 F Shadow of Mordor: Medium Settings | Average 55 fps | 61 C / 141.8 On paper, the Dual Fan variant should perform better than the Single Fan-- having higher GPU Clock, Boost Clock and twice as many fans to prevent thermal throttling, but my results says otherwise. I probably shouldn't think too much about it since I'm gonna sell them off anyway but it still bother me... can anyone may haps provide some insight? My best guess is the Dual Fan was used more than the Single Fan but quite unsure.

Is it okay if I use different graphics cards in my one rendering-gaming work station? lately I'm thinking of buying a graphics card that would improve my rendering performance on my workstation. my current rig is Intel i7 6700K 32GB DDR4 2400 Mhz HyperX Fury ASUS Z-170A Motherboard GTX 780 DC II OC 3GB I use 3Ds Max for my main rendering engine, and launching RT rendering would save a lot of time in taking the right time to render the final shot, but unfortunately it wont work very well on my GTX 780 so I decided to buy a Quadro card, Quadro P2000 in specific to improve my RT rendering performance, but would it be able to use them both the GTX and Quadro in the same rig? and how could I control them to work on specific program " 3ds Max on Quadro & Games on GTX 780 "

Hi, Well, hope I can find a solution for this, I just purchased a second hand GTX 780 ti Reference Edition (Was tested before the interchange). I've tried everything to resolve the issue I've been experiencing with the card (Title of the article) since the first day of purchase. Despite the fact that, I mounted it properly to the PCI ports (used the other one for troubleshooting purposes) and also properly connected it to the PSU (650 Watts BTW), is not working nor is being detected. From my end and as per other sources, I'm thinking that is not specifically the card that may have the issue, but my PSU. Why? Well, I've tried to turn my PC without even plug the PCI cables from PSU to the card and turned out that the card fan turned on at 100% (the sound is like a mini jet or something like that) with no signal at all. My PC just booted up like normally does, no error beeps, etc. Involving all the troubleshooting steps from various articles, I've tried them all. Even, cleaning the card gold pins with Isopropyl Alcohol thoroughly and ended up with no luck as well. The only "extreme" methods I haven't tried yet are: Use the card on other PSU/PC, clean the card from the inside, nor use the famous "oven method" (Saw it from Linus Tech), since I wanted to see some suggestions or thoughts you might have before proceeding to it. Furthermore, sometimes the cards turns on, the fan spins normal, then turns off in 10 or 7 seconds leaving the card lights on. Please, let me know if I was correct in regards to the PSU not sending the needed energy to the Card or any other opinion you want to provide. All your help will be greatly appreciated. *Sorry for the wall of text btw, wanted to be as most specific as I could. xDD Here I left you my rig: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/antonymatos/saved/bywjcf

Just a thought, but every fan assisted graphics card I've had blows towards the bottom or side of the case (given the fans are almost always fitted on the left side of the GPU). As all of my PC cases don't have any space for fans to extract this air from the bottom rear of the case (as that's where the cards fit through) wouldn't the GPUs be better if they blew towards the top of the case (out of the right side of the GPU)? Perhaps this is something Linus can discuss?

Hey Guys! This might be a very simple question. 1) I need to build a rig for deep learning purposes. I want minimum 3 graphic cards on the board. So which motherboard, chipset and CPU combination is most suited to support this setup. 2) I want to use maximum PCIe Lanes of graphic cards. 3) Is it necessary to use each card at x16 config? 4) Which is more important? Chipset's support for PCIe lanes or CPU's support for PCIe lanes?

I am Planing to Buy a New graphic card for gaming. May be i need to buy a PSU also. i am so much confused to select a graphic card that fits everything. I hope U guys suggest me a Best One for Me. Firstly, please check my System specs. My system specs : MotherBoard : ASUS P5G41T-MLX3 → Check Specs (Please see this image) RAM : 4 GB (2+2) Processor : Intel Pentium Dual Core E5700 → Check Specs Hard Disk : SeaGate (500GB 7200rpm+ 320GB 5400rpm) Monitor : ACER G195D (1366x768) PSU : Mercury 450W (Please see this image) My Situation : My Budget is Rs.12000 - 13000 (INDIAN Rupees) I Planned to use My graphic card for HD Gaming with Recording, Video Editing and Modeling with Simulation. So, I have a thought to buy a RX 460 card here → http://www.amazon.in/Sapphire-Radeon-NITRO-Graphics-11257-02-20G/dp/B01J1M4HDS Wheather using Molex Adapter (See Here) is enough to Handle these all with my Current PSU or i should definitely buy a new PSU with 6-pin connector such as Corsair VS450 → http://www.amazon.in/gp/product/B00X8QBT6M/ref=pd_cp_147_3?ie=UTF8 Whether using a DVI - VGA adapter is safe → http://www.amazon.in/gp/product/B00TCIZ0ME/ref=pd_sim_147_3?ie=UTF8 if I buy a new better PSU then budget for Graphic card comes down, So i am not able to decide anything. So, Please feel free to Provide any of Your Suggestions here for me. *Note: Length of Card doesn't matter as i can place HDD's Somewhere else. Thank you so much.

Hi. Just wondering if anyone had actually tried checking these out. I know a lot of you will be flaming this topic, but there are people who are considering these kinds of setups. Can anyone do any kind of benchmarks for these possible builds? Unfortunately, some of us have already gone with the APU setups and can't afford to buy a better rig and a graphics card upgrade would be the next practical step. Can anyone give us numbers? No matter how pathetic these setups would seem to appear to hardcore enthusiasts, we have to live with these builds (or wait for Zen stuff to finally come out).

I got an alienware X51 R2 with a GTX 660 in it. Now I am considering to upgrade my Graphic card. However, I'm confused about GTX 1060 or 1070. Kinda worried about the power issue. I know that GTX 1060 should have no problem with my pc, but I want to know whether GTX 1070 will also be fine? My pc power supply is 330W. I saw video on YouTube that some people are actually putting GTX 1080 in their Alienware X51 R2 and it works fine. I think that might be too risky for such a small system, so can anyone tell me will GTX 1070 the founder's edition works fine on my Alienware?

Hi guys, may I know any Malaysian or anyone here is coming to Malaysia from Canada/USA soon? I ask this question as I wanted to get 2 GTX 1080 FE directly from nvidia for personal use only; however they do not ship to Malaysia, and I don't want to get other custom card from other companies like MSI, ASUS etc. It is my personal preference & has nothing to do with specs or anything else. Please send me a PM if you could help. BR, Massimoo

So I just ordered a 1070 to replace my 780ti I'm just waiting for newegg to send it in the mail. I got a founder's edition, I know that the AIB partners custom cooling solutions will be better cooled but I'm not planning on over clocking it much. No questions just wanted to say how happy I am to not having to pay way over the MSRP for it, finely.

Hi everyone, I wanted to start a discussion around the Enthoo Primo reservoir bracket, that is used to mount a reservoir and hide some ugly cables, like SATA or ATX 24 pin. This is really smart from Phanteks as it can result in a nice looking reservoir and it hides perfectly the atrocious 24 pin ATX (no cablemods for me, they will arrive eventually). This case got very good reviews, but I'm disappointed by the fact that it seems that this bracket has to be removed for most of the high end graphic cards to fit in. For example, my 980 Ti G1 doesn't fit and I had to remove the bracket. Below the compatibility : 257 mm / 10,11 inches (reservoir bracket installed) 277 mm / 10,91 inches (reservoir bracket installed w/o cover) 350 mm / 13,78 inches (no reservoir bracket) Do you have examples of high end graphic cards to would fit in ? I am under the impression that for example most GTX 1080s won't fit and that you have to remove the bracket. Then I know that not everyone has this type of card, but still. A Radeon RX 480 fits in at 243mm / 9.57 inches, but even with this mid end card you don't have that much space left... Link to LTT's review : P.S. : if you give a lot of examples, I will try to compile them here in the first post. This could turn in a compatibility thread for the bracket if you want

I was wondering if I could get the upcoming 1070 with my old ass rig because for some of the new game that I have purchased are very hard to handle on my PC. I am not much of a computer guy but i know that if I get the 1070 that I will need to get a new power supply maybe I think. I also don't even know if the 1070 would be able to fit in my PC. I will attach some gyazo's showing the system info. And if you want to mention anything extra don't mind sharing :D. https://gyazo.com/c011a4c576585f64068602c1b5b9f40e https://gyazo.com/f5f81da5b14b211009e7fd55ed280003
