Hi everyone,im just another victim of a messed up rx 580,I used it for like 10 days and it was working perfectly fine and on low temps, but suddenly all sort of crashes were happening once a slight load was put on the gpu,I've been trying to troubleshoot it for a month now, tried a lot of drivers and nothing worked, and the only solution left was trying different bios's,but i still can't find the right one, some bios's allow me to get to desktop, but evrytime i clean and reinstall different drivers, still the same screen flickering and driver timeouts, any helpp?I really can't afford a new gpu rn

Hello Guys, Im using a GTX 960 GPU , Rizen 5 5600g CPU, samsumg 980 pro M.2, A520M PRO motherboard, 600W PWS, 8GB ram. After complete a full windows 10 installation without any problem; windows started installing and updating some of the system drivers. Then, without any advice, the screen turned black. Me and my friend tried to restart the system multiple times with no success. Later we boot the system using the mobo integrated graphics and we noticed that now the GPU was not being recognized by the motherboard. Do you have any clue or idea of what could happened? Thank you.

Hello lads, I am planning to build this super tight budget gaming pc build mostly out of secondhand parts. Here's the specs : CPU : Intel i5-3470 RAM : 16GB DDR3 1600MHZ Furry Hyper X MOBO : ASUS H61-M C or K STORAGE : KINGSTON A400 960GB SATA3 SSD (New) PSU : COOLER MASTER MWE 550W V2 80+ BRONZE (New) GPU : either the mentioned RX 580 8gb or Gigabyte gaming GTX 1070ti (almost double the price of rx 580) Case : some SEA region only case manufacture, the case name/model is GAMEMAX STORM for only 23$ USD here's the pictures for the GPUs: MSI rx580 8GB 2048Sp (DVI only ports) for 59$ USD Gigabyte GEFORCE GTX 1070ti (kinda rusty..) for 115$ USD Now, I already have the monitor which is BENQ XL2730z 1440p/144hz and some razer mice & keyboard combo. I need to know does the GPU support 1080p 144hz ? (yes Im only planning to play games at 1080p 144hz medium settings) if you have questions and advice for my plan feel free to let me know also, if godzila read this topic and got a stroke im so sorry.

I'm using OBS and I can't seem to get the option to stream using the HEVC encoder: I know my card has HEVC as it does show up in the recording section: Is this a limitation I am unfamiliar of or is it a bug? Oh and while at it, may I ask which one is better for streaming; constant or variable bitrate?

I recently upgraded my GC to a Gigabyte 3070 8GB Gaming OC, only to later realize I am getting short on its VRAM with maxed out settings on some newer games. Being a Chip level repair tech myself I couldn't help but wonder if we can replace the 1GB chips to 2GB chips and tweaking the BIOS effectively doubling the VRAM. I found a guy who did exactly the same and was successful, but he did it 2 years ago and he faced some issues with the bios. I couldn't find any further development after him. I would love to know if there are any Modders in the community that did or want to pursue this goal for their GPU. Attaching the links I found below, if someone can understand Russian please help me translate his G-Drive and find this updated bios for me. Thanks. https://www.tomshardware.com/news/16gb-rtx-3070-mod https://www.pcgamer.com/modder-gives-rtx-3070-a-16gb-upgrade-before-nvidia-has-the-chance/ link to his youtube video: He also has done the same for many other cards if you check his page. His G-Drive link from video (NSFW): -link removed by staff-

I've decided to get a 3060, but I'm still deciding whether to get the 3060TI or the base 3060. 2 monitors are all I really need and getting more would be unnecessary, but my question here is, should I value more vram from the base 3060, or the supposedly greater cuda cores from the TI model? to gather more info, I edit 1080p on premiere pro, 3 favourite games of mine are unmodded GTA V, CSGO, and minecraft with shaders on, and I always watch a long video/stream/movie on my secondary monitor while I game

Budget (including currency): 4.000.000 VND (maximum) Country: Việt Nam Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Overwatch 2, Valorant, Titanfall 2, CS:GO, Blender 3D, Filmora, Mircrosoft Visual Code My build I currently have: Intel Core i3-10100F Asus Tuf B460M Wifi 2x8Gb T-Force bus 3200 (currently running 2666) NVIDIA GTX 1050 2Gb GDDR5 (too old and broken so I've sold it away for the upgrade) 5 Xigmatek ARGB fan PSU: Deepcool DN450 80 Plus 230V-EU My plan: I was planning to get a GTX 1650 TUF from ASUS but after hearing that my PSU can load a 1660 super I went for COLORFUL 1660 SUPER, just 5 hours ago it burns and I've tried to bring it out the repair shop but unfortunately they said it can't be fixed. They said it was because of my PSU that burns the card, and they recommend upgrading to at least 650W to run the card. Since my budget is very tight so I can only be able to buy an old graphic card, no room left to upgrade the PSU If what they said about my PSU burned the card because of power outage is true, then which Graphic card and which brand should I buy. The other components in my build are still working fine but just missing the GPU.

Hello, i have core i3 3240, 8 gb ram ddr3 665mhz, ECS H61H2-M12 Mobo, and HIS r7 240 gpu. Okay Problem is, i plugged in my r7 240 and it got no display, but the fan is on. im using the vga cable, then change it to dvi-d but still no display. but, when i plugged the vga cable to the mobo, while the gpu is still intact with fan spinning, there is display but the gpu, as you expected. not detected. Then maybe i thought my pcie is faulty, and i change it to an older gpu which is 9600 gt and voila it works just fine. no problem at all. I never tried the r7 240 on other pc currently but it used to work fine on other pc that i got back then. i got the feeling that its still works just fine. and i really don't want to buy a new one right now. any help?

I have an Asrock A320M-HDV motherboard with Ryzen 5 3600, AMD RX 5700 XT, 16 GB RAM and 1 TB Toshiba P300 HDD. For a year and a half since I built this PC I have been using a 240 GB M.2 SATA SSD, i decided to upgrade to an XPG Spectrix S40G 1 TB NVME SSD. So i opened my PC and swapped the old SSD for the new one but then when i turned on the machine all 4 fans (3 in the case and 1 in the processor) turned on and along with them the LEDs including the SSD RGB but the graphic card did not display anything on the monitor (not even the motherboard logo) and when I noticed the 2 graphic card fans were off. Already removed the graphic card and put it back, already changed the module memories and all this with the old SSD. I'm sure it did not get loose from the power supply because the power supply is not modular. Does anyone have any idea what may have happened? What can I do?

Hi everyone, Looking for some help here understanding why my GPU is working sooo poorly. Screenshots from Novabench attached. While not being an incredible machine, my laptop has quite fine specs: Dell Inspiron 7501 Intel i7-10750H CPU @ 2.60GHz, 6 Core(s), 12 Logical Processor(s) 24 GB ram 512 GB SSD NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 - 4GB I am not a gamer so I never really cared about GPU power but I wanted to start doing some video editing and animation for work and noticed Adobe softwares were quite laggy, so I did a benchmark and here are the results: Why do you think this is happening? Everything in the Nvidia control panel is set to be best performance, I have the drivers up to date. I would understand if I was underperforming slightly or even be in the lower end of the spectrum, but this much I don't get. Can anyone guide me in the right direction? Many thanks! Peace!

Hey guys, I´m looking for a used graphics card for a my little brother with a budget of 100-150€. But I just don´t know what to buy! I mean there is the 1060, the 970, the 980(hard to get at the moment for this budget), the 780ti and of course the amd stuff like the rx460,480, R9 380, R9 280 and and and... Of course I found lots of benchmarks and reviews, but is this still relevent in 2021? Most of them will reach 60fps on 1080p (youtube told me so) but which one is the best? Is there a graphics card I missed? Right now it looks like I could buy any of these and the differences would be minimal and not relevent at all. Pls correct me if I´m wrong. I really don´t know what to do. So does anyone has a nice advice for me? And please excuse my bad english. It´s definetly possible I´m in the wrong section with this topic, so pls (If an admin is looking) take it to the right one or just say something.

Hey, so one of my first posts so hope you bear with me. I'm running a "Gigabyte GeForce GTX 980 4GB G1 GAMING" and one of its fans has decided to grant me its siren song. It's not hitting against anything but i hear a constant grinding kind of sound when it runs, it also can't spin up to max speed so is very slow. I've not seen that great of an impact on my temperatures, even did a thermal paste replacement since that had turned solid. nevertheless its a pain to listen to the fan, so i wanted to replace it. I'm struggling to find any place i can buy a replacement fan however, and i was wondering if some people here, more tech-shop fantastic than me could help point me in the right direction. I'd greatly appreciate it.

Another person in my family tried flashing their RX 480 Graphics Card from RX 480 ROM to an RX 580 ROM using ATI Flash. I'm trying to help them fix it back to the default ROM because the flashing failed. Problems that occur are a black screen, and the is when I try to use my other graphics card in my computer as the display (since the other doesn't display) and go into device manager to see if the RX 480 card is recognized it only shows my other card which is a GTX 745 card (Which is the one I'm using for display at the moment). Another detail about the RX 480 is it is 8gb. If anyone has any ideas on how to fix this problem and get it back to it's default ROM and display and work properly again would be great.

My wife's work laptop is a hp zhan66, a China unique model as a rename of probook line but has replaced the MX230 to MX250. Recently I founded this graphic card not activated in games, so I discovered the device manager. Only intel UHD630 in display adapters, and no MX250 found. I switched to show hidden devices, the MX250 is transparent and description says this device was removed. I checked hp's BIOS diagnose the onboard video is online, and it's activated. I also tried new and old drivers from hp and NVIDIA as well, but all turned unable to finish the display driver installation. What else can I do to bring back my video card?

question :-which is most important feature in GPU Brand, base or boost or memory clock speed of GTX 1660 SUPER OR GTX1080TI? I am planning new desktop PC ryzen 7 3700x or 2700x build for content creation video editing rendering graphics 3D designing architecture web designing and video streaming. for that some one advised recommended in forums GTX 1650 super or GTX 1660 super or GTx 1080ti . when I was searching to purchase some graphics card then found that different brands like gigabyte, Asus, MSI, zotac, inno3D, EVGA, Galax but found that many models of brands have different BOOSTED Base clock or boost clock or memory clock speed which one is more important in concern for video editing. As above comparison I have compared the base clock speed boost clock speed and memory clock speed which has been altered in different model of brands which I think will effect reflect in working of card which will boost in speed performance. Now queries in my mind:- Q1. Does brand Asus MSI gigabyte Zotac colourful matters while purchasing GPU in warranty services performance features component heatsink quality dies quality or any other concern which brand is good and which is not good to purchase Q2. Which Model in which brand is good as while looking to Boost in clock apeed in found generally that as in zotac AMP or PGF extreme is generally boosted in Asus Rog strix or TUF model and in gigabyte Arius or Gaming extreme and in colourful the Kundan model and in Inno3D Ichill X3 models are generally boasted in Base or boost clock speed or memory clock speed. Q3. Which clock speed Base Boost clock is good to be increase in any chipset of GPU. As I think base clock speed is minimum speed the GPU will start to work from and Boost clock is speed is maximum which a GPU can reach on load or can be overclocked to....as I think Base clock speed if increased in any model will give better performance........for example as in Zotac GTX 1880ti AMP extreme model have base clock speed 1646 MHz and boost clock speed 1759 mhz and memory clock speed 1659 mhz whereas in colourful IGame GTX 1080ti Kundan have base clock speed 1657mhz and boost clock speed in 1784Mhz and memory clock speed is 1376 MHz whereas gigabyte Arius water force extreme GTx 1080ti have base clock speed 1608mhz boost clock speed 1721 MHz and memory clock speed is 1404mhz. Q4. What is difference in memory clock speed and memory bandwidth whats clock speed and babdwidth effects in performance as GTx 1650 super memory clock speed is 1500mhz. And bandwidth is 192mbps. GTx 1660 super memory clock speed is 1750mhz -2027mhz And bandwidth is 288mbps GTx 1080 super memory clock speed is 1251mhz-1350mhz. And bandwidth is 320mbps and GTx 1080ti memory clock speed is 1376mhz- 1404 mhz And bandwidth is 484mbps Q5. What will type of VRAM in GPU DDR6 or DDR5 effect on performance of video editing rendering as 4gb 6 GB ddr6 in gtx 1660 super compared to 8gb 11gb ddr5 in GTx 1880ti Q6. As therotically base clock speed boost clock speed RAM memory size clock speed and memory bandwidth all together plays role depends on performance and speed which can be tested through benchmark or tests. Is there any website link where I can test the GPU related to video editing rendering 3d graphic designing base benchmark performance test. As I have seen but there is tests for gaming fps but not much tests for Video editing rendering applications. If any one can share the link for benchmark test for different brands to see the practical performance test. Q7. Do GPU effects in quality for video editing rendering means there any effect on quality of graphics quality or FPS while exporting converting rendering videos somewhere I readed about dropage of FPS with graphic card but no test or benchmark I found . Which parameterr feature if graphic card shaders TMU ROPs cuda cores should be most important for quality of output in video rendering export playback quality and speed. Any article benchmark kindly share the link opinions for the same tests benchmark. Q8. Any other parameter feature in your opinion should be concerned and most important to match in different brand models in content creation video editing rendering graphic 3d designing animations.like l1 l2 l3 cache..or any points. Q9. As i am novice in video editing rendering i used to do DTP graphic designing and want to learn and start with video editing skills for 4k editing as I am learning premier pro after effects 3d max AutoCAD revit as per your opinion Which GPU is good for starting learning video editing rendering nvidea or amd gtx 1650 super or gtx 1660 super or gtx 1070 or gtx 1080 or gtx 1080ti or rx590. As gtx 1080ti is ddr5 and have more 8gb or 11gb ram and more cuda cores but less base boost memory clock speed as. Compared to gtx 1650 super or gtx 1660super... I thank you and be grateful in advance for your precious time advice opinion and will be obliged for sharing your knowledge.

Hello, Would appreciate help with the following: Which graphics card can be used with a HP Proliant 310e Gen8 server, with Xeon 1220v2 CPU and Samsung 2x 4Gb 2Rx8 PC3 - 12800 E -11-11E3 1600 Ram, on a intel C204 chipset (as per documents) running Windows server 2008 R2. We were looking at the following Graphics cards to get 4x4k monitor outputs (mostly for browser windows and pricing charts): 1) Nvidia Quadro K1200, 2) Nvidia Quadro P620, 3) Radeon Pro WX 4100, 4)Radeon Pro WX 3200. However, we are being given the feedback from HP, AMD and Nvidia that they can not confirm compatibility (and in some cases state incompatibility). Please we need help in how to connect 4 monitors/TVs (each of 4K) to the server. If they can run the accelerator why not the graphics cards? The next question was if 8Gb Ram would be enough and whether the CPU Ram or the GPU GDDR is more important to increase browser tab capacity and speed?
