Heya, I recently build my own PC with this specs: Ryzen 5 3600 with boxed cooler 2x8GB HyperX DDR4 Memory 3200mhz MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon Max WiFi AMD Radeon 5700XT 50'th Anniversary 500w BeQuiet Pure Power 11 After swapping the cooler to an MSI Codeliquid 240R the Mainboard told me that my CPU is broken (red light on EZ Debug LED), and it wasn't Posting. I replaced the CPU with a new R5 3600 and the red light on CPU was gone. Unfortunately its saying that the GPU was bad now (Red light on GPU and Beep Code 1x Long 2x Short). I also tested my old GPU (Palit GTX960 4GB) and had the same error. Both GPUs are working fine on my old System (gigabyte ga-z170x-gaming 3, i7 6700k, 750w cooler master PSU). Swapped the Mainboard (replace via retailer) and had the same error again. I did a refund on the MSI B450 Board and got my hands on a B550 Aorus Elite AX V2 which got the same error again (Beep Code: 1x Long, 3x Short). Swapped out the RAM and PSU from my old System, still not Posting. I cleared CMOS several times and flashed BIOS to the newest (on all 3 Boards). I hope that one of you guys can help me out because I swapped out everything possible with no success. Will also test a friend's Ryzen 7 2700x and RTX 2070 Super tomorrow.

Hello everyone, I own my GPU for a while now, but I have not played many games... until now. Recently I wanted to give GTA V a try and downloaded it from the Epic Games store (got it for free). I was able to play the game with no issues for a while, but at some point there always appeared those weird crashes. My monitor turned green (or black), my mouse and keyboard stopped working and my PC decided to reboot on it's own. The first thing I did was doing research on my problem on Google, found a thread on the AMD forum discussing exactly my problem. Here is the solution I tried: https://community.amd.com/t5/drivers-software/rx-5700xt-green-screen-crashes/m-p/142074/highlight/true#M34674 It changed basically nothing, I wiped out all AMD Drivers and installed the recommended driver but everything stayed the same and my problem continued. I didn't want to give up, so I decided to try a few other methods. I activated the "AMD Ryzen High Performance Mode" in the Windows settings, again this changed absolutely nothing. I tried to wipe out all existing AMD drivers from my PC again and install the newest drivers recommended by AMD. Again, this changed absolutely nothing. The last thing I did was updating my BIOS from Version F40 to F62a... And yup you guessed it, nothing has changed. I don't know what else to try at this point, I thought the new AMD drivers would fix those problems but they didn't work for me. Many people on the thread from the AMD Forum fixed their problem by following the steps, but it didn't work for me. Do you guys have any other tips? I'd be super grateful. Here are my specs: GPU: 8GB Gigabyte Radeon RX 5700 XT GAMING OC 8G CPU: AMD Ryzen 3600 Mainboard: Aorus B450 Elite (https://www.gigabyte.com/de/Motherboard/B450-AORUS-ELITE-rev-1x/support#support-dl-driver) PSU: 600W be quit! Pure Power 11 Non-Modular 80+ Gold RAM: 16GB G.Skill Aegis DDR4-3200 DIMM CL16 Dual Kit

First time poster, long time lurker. Trying to figure out what the optimal way of troubleshooting this issue would be, since all components are still under warranty. When I boot from cold, both of my monitors (one FAR worse than the other) display visual artifacting, as horizontal discolored lines, which resolves after an hour-ish. I'm forced to tear down my rig currently due to a leaking d5 pump, so I figure its a good time to go in, do a good cleaning, tidy up some cables, and get stuff out for RMA if necessary. I fear it MIGHT be the motherboard, but I have no good way to assess that currently. System specs: Intel I9-9900k MSI MEG Z390 Godlike Mobo (EKWB monoblock on for CPU and VRM cooling) 64gb Corsair Dominator RGB Ram Dual MSI RTX 2080TI SEAHAWK EK X cards (blocked from the factory, linked with single tube in a serial cooling config) Dual 560mm thick rads The GPU loop and CPU loop are completely separated, each powered by a single D5 pump. I'm looking for any help with this process. Thanks!

Hi, I have a PC with a ASUS Z270G Motherboard, i7 7700 and two GPUs (a GTX 1070 Ti and another GTX1070). The issue is that running both GPUs on the PCI-E x16 slots in my motherboard does not offer adequate cooling and the upper card gets really hot with poor airflow. Attempting to solve this issue, I tried using PCI-e riser cards (the x1 kind used for mining) in order to use multiple GPUs outside my case. I'm using the v009s version (there is a picture below). Although my motherboard has 2 PCI-E x16 and 2 x1, I cannot get the BIOS or Windows or Linux to recognize any card that is connected to a riser board (when I connect directly on the x16 connector, it recognizes, but that is not what I want). I tried several configurations and nothing works: one GPU on x16 and a riser on another x16 one GPU on x16 and a riser on a x1 both GPUs on risers on a variety of PCI-e connector configurations I also tried to make some changes on my BIOS according to a video I found on YT (https://youtu.be/d4zBH21deGI and https://youtu.be/g8mtCgJcrEc) that basically consists of changing the generation of my PCIs in order to have bandwidth. I tried, Gen1, Gen2, Gen3 and Auto and nothing works. You may ask about the PCI-E risers, that might be defective, but I've tested on three different boards which are known good ones and work on other systems, so that is not the problem. As I said before, I tried on Windows 10 (one GPU at a time and both together) removing and reinstalling NVIDIA drivers, however, it simply does not show on Device Manager. I then tried to run on NiceHash OS and it also does not recognize the cards on risers. I'm therefore out of ideas and really would appreciate any help I can get as I believe this has to be some BIOS configuration or something like that. Just to resume everything I've written for someone who is not interested in reading my saga: I want to run GPUs (GTX 1070 and GTX 1070Ti) on PCI-E Riser boards (used for crypto mining) on my ASUS Z270G The GPUs are only recognized when connected directly on the x16 connectors in my MB and not being recognized on the Risers I'm using known good risers and tried on Windows 10 and Linux I'm beginning to get quite desperate as I can't make this work and don't know why I added pictures of my Hardware configuration, of the modifications that were made on my BIOS and of Device Manager. Also, my BIOS is on the latest version, I've updated it. Please, can someone help me with this?

I hope someone else hasn't done this yet. Summary Reports of chip shortages impacting all manner of industries abound, it’s not just graphics cards that are hard to come by. Now comes news that megafoundry TSMC is prioritising production of chips for cars over other applications. What hope is there for us poor gamers ever getting our hands on a new GPU? According to CNBC, TSMC plans to prioritise new production capacity in favour of car makers. The move comes as pressure reportedly mounts at government level for TSMC to prioritise chips intended for cars. The global auto industry is currently suffering from significant production delays due to the shortage of chips, leading Germany’s Economy Minister Peter Altmaier writing to his Taiwanese counterpart requesting that TSMC, a key supplier of semiconductors for cars, focus on production for cars above all. Similar requests have reportedly been sent from the US, the European Union and Japan. Quotes My thoughts Well, I am personally not gonna be making any GPU purchases in the foreseeable future but don't panic, please don't. This also seems to not affect the current production capacity but future one's, so....... I'm not too worried. Hi guys, I have a laptop that does not have thunderbolt, and there is no graphics card. I have a GTX 1060 that was given to me, can I use one of those USB risers to PCIe 16X slot and plug the card in via USB 3.0? I've seen videos of people trying this, and it works. I came here to know if this is a good idea or what I should do. The only m.2 slot on my laptop holds my storage drive. I have no hard drive that I can use instead of the m.2. Plz help me since I can't afford a new computer at the moment.

Budget (including currency): Not Important/already have a listing for these graphics cards. Country: United States of America Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Visual Studio Code, OBS Studio, Stream Elements OBS.live, VMWare Workstation 16, Kali Linux, WSL, etc. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): It currently has no GPU but I have three options currently. An AMD Radeon R5 340X, an Nvidia GeForce GTX 550 TI, or an Nvidia Quadro T400. I am only somewhat certain that the last one is a T400. Also, how much RAM should I install? It has 8GB DDR4 currently. The PC also has 250GB of SSD, which I will also be upgrading to about 1TB. Thank you! I'm a film student at my school and recently got a monitor for 4k mastering. -& the gamer in me is currently wondering if 4k gaming is a thing thats possible on a budget. Does anybody have any gpu suggestions right now or should I wait a while for the new Intel cards to come? Thanks! Edit: I have a $500 budget for the card.

Hey guys, i currently have 2 GPU's and i currently stream. i was wondering if it is benificial to have both GPU's in the same rig, 1 as my gaming GPU, and the other to be the stream render GPU. and if this does work, what is the best way to set this up. thanks heaps!! Lucky gamer here, so I have rare opportunity to get either the GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 3090 OC or the EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 XC3 ULTRA at MSRPs (EVGA queue for one and the Newegg shuffle for the other). So I was wondering is one better than the other (I assume it probably comes down to cooling, noise and temps since their both 3090s) when it comes to performance, so I want to get some opinions between the two, thanks in advance.

Hey all, So I'm running a rig with a RTX3070 and AMD 5600X; I haven't given my full system specs as I don't need information pertaining specifically too my rig, but just more of a general understanding of potential factors. I booted up Far Cry 5 for the first time and played it, however I noticed it felt a little off. Running benchmarks showed that at 1080p it would shoot to high FPS, and have drops all the way down below 100 at certain points, on average sitting around 140ish however my GPU sat at around 60% and CPU at 50% usage. I upped the resolution to 1440p and my framerate stayed exactly the same? Stuttering in the same places too the same amount? All that changed was my GPU usage increased to 80%. Is this a thing? Why would I be dropping frames but sitting well below full hardware usage? (I also have 16gb ram, but only used around 12) Thanks

Budget (including currency): 1500 Country: US Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Destiny 2, Apex Legends, Overwatch, Valorant, GAMING (Looking for 120ish fps) Other details : CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 I'm trying to decide what GPU would work best with my system, but being new to the world of PCs... Yea. Not good. I've looked at bottleneck calculators, and they say the best way to not bottleneck my system is an RTX 2080ti. So do I buy one off of ebay for $500? Or do I try to get an RTX 3060, which isn't as easy to get, but has a better price-performance ratio? Do I just wait for GPU prices to drop? I have no clue. Are neither of these the right option? Any help is appreciated.

First post on LTT forums, I need to ask why are there tonnes of cheap gpus like this rtx 2070 popping up on ebay? And if one were to, say, impulsively buy one of these without really considering how this is most probably a scam, could I still get a refund from Ebay? That's one of the items in question: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GIGABYTE-GeForce-RTX-2070-Super-Windforce-x3-OC-8GB-GDDR6-Graphics-Card/124683481068?hash=item1d07b6efec:g:TKUAAOSwgqJgeUS4

For the past few months my laptop has been giving this inconsistent BSOD, but once it appears it won't stop. Last time I stopped using my laptop and what it was like 2 weeks later the BSOD problem vanished for a few months. This time I've tried clean install of windows 10, older and newer GPU driver but without success, this has been occurring with every update of Windows 10, but it seems that older versions like 1st version of Windows 10 is less likely to trigger the BSOD. Right I can barely get inside of the OS without freezing and having other BSODs My system specs: Acer VN7-591G CPU: Intel core I7 4720HQ 2.60GHz GPU: GTX 860m 4GB The BSOD that always shows up is VIDEO_DXGKRNL_ERROR Wasn't able get a system diagnostic but was able do get a dump https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=1TXi9AzFAYCgqyCXw0AUqK95oNmv-rri4

Hello everyone I hope you are all good. So I could use some help. At the moment I'm playing on my PS5 and recording gameplay with my acer laptop using a razer ripsaw HD capture card. The laptop has an Intel i5 inside (5years old) and a nvidia 945M. And so I only can record in 720p because my laptop is already at the limit. Now I wanted to build a PC soon with the following parts: CPU: ryzen 7 5800 or Intel i7 10700K (depends on the price when I decide to order. GPU: RTX 3070 (or new radeon if better pricing) Motherboard: depending on the CPU, I'm open for tips PSU: 850W 80+Gold by corsair RAM: 32GB 3200 or 3600 corsair vengance Storage: 1TB samsung m.2 SSD + 3 TB seagate barracuda HDD Case: Corsair 4000x rgb (not 100% sure about the name) Cooling: corsair icue capellix 240mm aio + 1 extra corsair fan for the rear exhaust This is going to be a complete white build (except the Motherboard) Now the actual question: The PC is going to be used for Recording/Streaming/gaming. But at the moment I will not pay 1000$+ for an 3070 so I wanted to ask you guys if you think that if I buy an used gtx 970 for about 150$, will it be enough to record gameplay from my PS5 in 1080p? Or do you recommend any other used gpu for max 200$? I just wanted to improve the quality of the content I'm making, so I was thinking maybe at the moment I could buy an old gpu for recording and editing and when the prices are normal again I will upgrade to the 3070. Thanks for your help

Hi! So a few days ago my pc suddenly went black screen, the fans ramped up. In panic i turned the power supply switch off. I tried to turn on the pc but then it got no display, the fans in the gpu are spinning and i heard a beep from post. I tried using the igpu and its fine, monitor and cables are fine! So I don't know what happend, I tried some troubleshooting from the internet such as: • Resetting the bios • Reseating everything • Using 1 ram stick or switching its slot Now im using it without the dedicated graphics and its very devastating for me :( My pc: I7 4790k Asus h81m-D 8gb hyper X rams Inno3D Gtx 560 FSP 550 watts Any help would be appreciated! P.S. i know its kind of old but its all i have

Excluding the price surge and shortage, what is objectively better, a 2070 Super, or 3070 overall? My budget is around $550. I don't know much about what all the stats mean for GPUs, so having a simplified explanation would be nice. I currently have a Ryzen 5 3400G and after having built my PC back in June (2021), I finally have the money to buy a GPU. I know both these cards are good and are at a similar MSRP price, so I just want to know what would be better. I usually play games such as Apex Legends, Subnautica, and with a GPU, hopefully Ark: Survival Evolved. I also started to learn how to 3D render using blender, so having a card that is efficient with that would be handy. I know there are more options than these cards, but since before I even bought my PC parts, I had my eye on the 2070/Super and I recently noticed that the 3070 is at a similar price to it. Thanks for any info.

Hi guys! I'm considering replacing the videowall solution we have at work (it uses some shitty network based proprietary solution) with one GPU (or two) that supports 6 4k60 (30hz is acceptable) displays. I'll be using it to monitor multiple browser based security cam streams (average of 127kbps per camera, but I can't extrapolate GPU resource consumption from this). I've been looking to get two Quadros P620 mainly due to the low price (economy in Brazil is a joke right now), but one of the salesman told me it would not support SLI and wouldn't work for the 6 displays, even though I've found different information on other online forums. Do any of you use 6 4k displays, or have any recomendations that you are sure that would work? Thanks in advance. Edit: displays must be connected via HDMI, as they have no DP input.

Hi second post but you notice that gpus are getting bigger with big coolers well is it just me try should still do more performance but they should strive to make it smaller like make it so that it as long as the pcie x16 slot it self to make it smaller while making some performance i think that would be better than making it bigger so it fits more cases and dont have to worry about need to fit it long wise like make the 2080 ti level performance with it being really small i think that would be nice while if you want the power of the 30*0 series you have bigger so you have to make sure it fits

Summary The first batches of NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40-series "Ada" graphics cards were in production since Q2-2022. NVIDIA has reportedly been stockpiling loads of its next-gen GeForce RTX 40-series RTX 4090 and the RTX 4080 GPUs across warehouses in Taiwan, China and elsewhere since August. Chinese GPU suppliers have allegedly been receiving stocks of the next-gen graphics cards for over a month now, and are likely the source of the recently leaked images. Quotes My thoughts This makes sense as to why we were hearing so much mixed information originally regarding the actual launch date of Ada. I remember at first the time frame given was supposed to be sometime in the Summer. However, more recently it seems they pushed it to the Fall because of the excess Ampere inventory. Now we know for certain that the reveal will take place on September 20th, and launch should be shortly thereafter. I also find the segmented 4080 SKUs interesting, as they are supposed to have different CUDA Core configurations as well. I'm wondering if this will come to fruition; the two 4080 SKUs alongside the 4090 SKU. We will know for certain in 4 days.
