This video shows comparison of two events. One from Microsoft a d one Google about AI integration in Bing and Google. Microsoft's integration with AI in Bing which I believe is using Chatgpt but will be a more advanced version upon release. Google created their own AI. Seems Microsoft is doing better at this stage. Who will pull ahead and what features looked great for you? https://youtu.be/5X1O5AS4nTc

Heyo friends, My partner recently had an interesting thing happen to his youtube queue. Some backstory, we chromecast most content we watch to our TV, so he got us a premium subscription so we don't have to see anymore of that weird silent safeway ad. It's been working great, no Ads as promised until we came across an Ad invading his queue BEFORE the video he added(in the following screenshot he removed the next video as it was city specific). I chalked it up to a bug, but it happened again and again so he had a chat with support. Turns out this is TOTALLY NOT AN AD According to youtube, but a super viral video they thought we had to see right now! How exciting! Now this is kinda frigged, 14$ for an ad free* experience. The kicker is that his youtube algorithm is very much not tech related (unlike mine) Does anyone have any thoughts or advice? I kinda super want to not see ad's on my TV, but still support creators. chat attached

Hey guys, so for the past couple of days I've noticed something a little weird but mostly extremely frustrating when browsing with Chrome. Google is literally taking several seconds to load on a gigabit internet connection. First, I had an erreor about their SSL certificate being out of date, when the certificate clearly stated it was valid until March 23rd, 2030. I somehow got it working on Chrome again, however Firefox and Opera are giving me an error ("SEC_ERROR_UNKNOWN_ISSUER"). I've tried all the solutions I could find on google but with it not properly loading n all.. it wasn't super successful. Here's a video to show you what I mean. The page finished loading, I can click on what's there but it doesn't show up for a solid 5 seconds. Here are my specs, but this shouldn't be a hardware problem: W10 latest Ryzen 7 1700@3.7GHz 16GB G.Skill TridentZ CL16@3200MHz MSI X370 Krait mobo MSI ARMOR GTX 1070 All my browsers are on my SATA SSD. I've tried flushing my DNS, changing DNS servers (I use a raspberry Pi running Pi-Hole), clearing all the SSL certificates, clearing cache/cookies/browser history, etc... I wonder if google are throttling upload speed of all clients so that they have a better control over their bandwidth? I usually find myself uploading to google with 2-3 times slower upload speeds than the ones I get from my ISP (as tested in multiple speedtest sites and different servers on each one). At what speed do you guys get to upload to google drive? Wonder if my i-net is the bottleneck or google's service.

Source: 9to5 Google, Change.org Here's a Youtube comparison and it shows that the Exynos S20 Ultra gets toasty and then thermal throttles, and it drains battery faster compared to the Snapdragon S20 Ultra. The SD S20 Ultra that uses a Sony sensor seems to take sharper photos, have more detail and better dynamic range compared to the Exynos S20 Ultra which uses Samsung's in-house ISOCELL sensor. Even Android Central weighed in and based on their own testing, and once again the SD S20 Ultra is overall the better performer compared to the Exynose S20 Ultra. To be fair even Apple sourced their chips from two fabs, one their chips from TSMC and Samsung with the iPhone 6s. I think if I'm not mistaken Apple chips nowadays are manufactured by TSMC. I can't really speak for experience right now because it has been a long time since I've used a Samsung phone but my cousin is complaining that her Exynos Galaxy S9 pictures are often a hit or miss even in good lighting conditions. This may not be an issue for North American Galaxy S20 users but it might be for some outside especially that battery draining faster.

Source: Google I/O Google has officially announced through their Google I/O website, that the annual event is no longer going ahead, citing that the decision was made after local Bay Area counties - in which Google is headquartered in Mountain View, California - ordered residents to stay at home. Google have re-assured us by advising that their attention is solely on the safety of others who were originally going to attend the event, as well as advising that they were working on alternative methods to get their highly-anticipated annual event done this year. It comes as no surprise to me, as Google I/O is an in-person event that is held every year in May, it would have been a serious healthcare concern to the audience and the people involved at Google to have held it when the schedule meets the event. I trust that Google will find a way to showcase their new and upcoming hardware and/or software, as I'm sure many are still interested. In the FAQ section of their Google I/O website, Google has put the nail in the coffin for Google I/O this year: Extremely saddening news, but out of the interest of health and safety of the Google team, Google aren't the bad guys, and I'm sure we can trust them to find other ways of showcasing their new gadgets and gizmos this year.

Do you remember the days when your android had to shut down for almost half an hour to update? If you do, rejoice! Those days are finally over (for good this time). Google is going to be forcing the remaining vendors (namely Samsung) who have not switched over to the Seamless Update system to start using it for Android R (11). What does this mean? Well, basically it means that your phone will not be forced to shut down to update. All it will require is a quick reboot when one partition is updated. From Android Nougat (7.0) and onward, this system has been in place and used by most phone companies using the android operating system. The seamless update was originally found in Chrome OS. This feature creates two versions of the system files each stored in separate partitions. This is done so that the phone can still be in use on one partition can be updated during use, then seamlessly switch over to that updated version of the system files (hence the name). Android has taken another step towards being an even better operating system! https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2020/04/google-makes-seamless-update-support-mandatory-in-android-11/

Summary A few months ago, there were reports that Google and most likely Valve were working on the support of the popular gaming platform Steam to come on Chrome OS. Discoveries have been made by 9to5google on how it will work and which Chromebooks it will first support. As of now it will start with the laptops that have the 10th gen Intel processor. ChromeOS supports running Linux apps under the project “Crostini”. It does this via running an entire Linux distribution in a virtual machine. 9to5google tracked a new project within the open-source code of Chromium called “Borealis”. This appears to be related to virtual machines for ChromeOS. It turned out to be a full on distribution, which unlike Crostini that is based on Debian, Borealis appears to be based on Ubuntu. Personal opinion I haven’t heard much about ChromeOS lately (actually nothing), but this is still a rather interesting yet unsurprising news, especially considering that Valve has made a lot of effort into the development of Proton and the fact there have been some reports of it being made earlier this year. Regardless, this feels rather welcoming to the OS, even though it’s marketing share is rather low afaik. Source https://9to5google.com/2020/07/01/chrome-os-preparing-steam-gaming-ubuntu/

Chrome has been feeling extremely slow the last couple months (been using it for years) I have an i7 7700k and 16gb of ram so I really don't think it's hardware. Chrome use to be relatively fast, but now it takes a second or two to open a new tab and search something in. Same with youtube, I open a youtube video and try to pause it. Nothing happens for 2 seconds, and then it registers my actions. Could it be buildup of all my bookmarks, cookies etc ?

Hi guys, right now I am having some issues with Google Chrome and I thought an uninstall might resolve it. But after I uninstalled Chrome I noticed that it didn't full uninstall because it still remembered the account I had signed in with when I reinstalled it. So I was wondering if there is a way to "fully" uninstall Google Chrome like it was never on my computer inthe first place. Also if uninstalling Google Chrome doesn't fix my issue, I will probably come back here for help ;). Thanks.

When I watch a live stream and put the window on my second monitor, i will open another window on my main monitor; but for some reason if I'm on a website loading images (i.e. another YouTube video, merch store, etc.) the Live video will stutter and buffer. I have tried disabling the hardware acceleration and re-enabling it with no avail. the only thing I've noticed is if i use another browser (FireFox, Edge) the problem isn't concurrent. Is this an issue with bandwidth in chrome, or just chrome not operating properly? I can open 4 videos on YouTube sectioned off, all running 1080p without any issue; Also, I can tab the video where it runs in the background and no problems either. It seems to only happen when I watch a live stream and have something else open. Does anyone know of a fix, or why this would be happening? My Setup: https://pcpartpicker.com/b/bZL2FT

hello everyone, i hope you are doing great I'm looking forward to start a gaming community of my own, fps games mostly. i want to host servers in old cod games, cs and maybe something else. To do all that i need to rent a sever, but i want a trial to see how things are going before i put my money on it. I did manage to get one server on GCP but only lasting for 5 hours or so. I cant start the trial on my own cos I'm not 18 yet (17) and cant open my own bank account, the credit cards of my parents wont get accepted by google or any other site, they are prepaid cards. I do understand what i'm asking for is quite a big favor and mostly not possible but i have nothing else left to try. have a good day everyone and :)

Hi All, Trying to figure out if turning off Motion Sense on a Pixel 4 actually turns off the radar emitter, or if it does some silliness like keeping the emitter powered but disabling the software that processes the data. Anyone know if Google or one of the tech outlets have tested/verified this? I've looked around but can't find anything authoritative on it. Thanks!

Hi everybody, Recently, I've been visiting a forum for a video game called World of Tanks. But today, when I visited the website, I saw redirective advertisements and those ads that says "Someone wants to send you a message" ad on that forums. I knew it wasn't the forum because no video game developers or companies would put such advertisements on the website. It was strange so I had to ensure that it wasn't the website. To do that I got on my laptop that was only logged onto my other private account with sync off mainly because I barely use this laptop. Additionally, I asked my girlfriend to check the website and she didn't see any advertisements. But I wasn't sure if it was really my computer since I didn't install anything or downloaded anything at all. I may sound very overly-confident and arrogant but I do certainly know a bit about computers and encountered a lot of different malwares. I went on facebook and the redirective advertisement (otrwaram.com) would initiate whenever I click anywhere on the website. I tried to inspect element of how it got there but a right click would do the same. All the advertisements I mentioned began to pop up again. At this point, I knew something was injecting adware to my chrome. So, I just decided to check if it's just chrome to ensure it's just browser or some content settings or even cookies. However, when I used my microsoft edge to visit the same site, I had the same issue. I knew it was an adware. From my experiences, I just ran multiple adware removals and scans from different software companies. Malwarebytes, Bitdefender, ESET, all that you could think of. Only ESET Online Scanning Tool picked up two which took couple of hours and I thought that was it. I quarantined it and went back and realized the adware was still there. I got so tired of it and decided to reinstall my windows. After I reinstalled my windows using a USB, I got onto microsoft edge as soon as possible and tested the forum (forum.worldoftanks.eu) and nothing popped up. Well, I thought it was over. I reinstalled chrome, and first thing I did was check with chrome if that ad was still there. Brand new fresh chrome, didn't have an issue. I logged into my account and turned on sync since I wanted my bookmark and once I was finished and wanted to check for the last time, it was back. Now I knew where it was coming from but I wasn't sure. I logged onto my laptop again that didn't have my infected chrome account synced and decided to try the website. No ads. I used my mobile phone to test it, and there was no signs of redirective ads or pop-up or new tabs. So I realized it was my main google account that was infected. It was 4am in the morning, I couldn't get this sorted. I was stupid and I decided to plug in my USB to my computer (that was infected) and and reinstalled a new windows without even deleting/formatting my drive and there were two windows installed on a single drive. I ran the test again (going to the forums right after install) and the ads popped up. Realizing that there were two windows installed, I decided to properly install windows by deleting pre-existing windows and putting on only a single copy of windows on my PC. While it was installing, I doubted that the malware/virus would go into my USB assuming that it runs whenever I ran any browsers. When I installed again (only a single copy on the SSD) and ran the test again, the ad was there. I assume the adware got onto my USB or something. As I write this, I am just too tired to do anything and I reach out for help. I've thought of how it might not be an adware and my ISP having issues or something but I doubt it since my laptop was on the same wifi as my PC. I understand that this is very long and detailed, but detailed analysis deemed necessary to solve this issue. I would appreciate all the serious replies and helps. Sincerely,

http://www.theverge.com/2017/3/21/14990876/google-android-o-8-update-developer-preview-release-battery-life-notifications-api Developer preview can be found here: https://developer.android.com/preview/index.html From the Google developer page: From the verge: Battery life Notification Channels Picture in Picture Autofill Adaptive Icons Miscellaneous Extras Thoughts: Looks pretty cool, lots of interesting new stuff as Google looks to be laying the groudwork for a merge between ChromeOS and Android. I'm especially excited about the wide colour gamut support and battery life push. Hopefully this means more apps will take advantage of some of the incredible screens out there and solve many of the 'Android OS' battery drain issues. I've probably missed stuff, let me know if you spot anything and I'll add it to the OP.

https://security.googleblog.com/2017/02/announcing-first-sha1-collision.html with, *ahem* I don't know how long that would take on an enthusiast computer (with 6950X + SLI TitanXP), but that's a long time. Google has managed to create two PDFs that SHA1 to the same hash by messing with the way the PDF was generated. (image from Google) Even though SHA1 was deprecated back in 2011, people still use it (kinda like XP), and theoretical attacks have been known since 2005, it's still used today (in things from Databases to Git to security certificates). from https://shattered.io/ and the same thing again at https://shattered.it/ (both owned by Google) if you want to run the program that Google used, to create your own SHAttered PDF, then you're going to have to wait a bit. though if you were thinking of trying to use it in the real world, then you're SOL
