What's the point in it? Seriously? The only benefit I see is 4k but even still it's a little stupid. Since 1080 up scales really well!

I currently have a slightly broken iPhone 6 and I'm hoping to upgrade to a Nexus 6p. I've never used an android phone before (don't beat me up too bad) and I'm just wondering if there's anything I should know before upgrading. I'm asking about the Nexus in particular but also about android in general. (I know that the security is sometimes a little questionable.) Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!

My dad is a bit frustrated with his new Galaxy S6, and rightfully so. He has it set up so Microsoft exchange will sync his calendar events from the Samsung calendar app to MS Outlook on his computer, so he can create a calendar event on his computer or his phone and it will show up on either. He has been using Samsung's S Voice feature to add these events to the calendar through a voice command, but S Voice is frankly working terribly for him. He likes Google Now which is also on the phone a lot better than S Voice. Is there a way I can set it up so that when he tells Google Now to "remind him" of something, it will become a calendar event on the Samsung calendar app rather than a Google reminder? Or would he be able to switch to the Google calendar and still have that sync through MS exchange to his Outlook on the computer? Thanks.

Hey guys, I know that eBay will leave me screwed (taking too much money from me), and if I sell it to a random person via Paypal, I can get fucked over real fast (refunds.) So, how does Google Wallet work for sending money? Can the buyer refund almost everything like with Paypal? Thanks, -Covert

Hey all. I've been a long time Nexus user, and I'm considering jumping on the Project Fi service with a 5X. Has anyone had any personal experience with the network or the phone? I know the 5X feels cheap, but I have small hands and the 6P is quite a bit bigger than my OnePlus One. Hopefully someone can tell me a little about how the service is. If it helps at all, I'm in Arizona and Nevada frequently for school and to go home. Thanks for any input!

Hello, I'm looking to buy a LG nexus 5. I looked for it in my country and the 16gb version costs about 340 eur (370 usd), the 32gb version doesn't even exist. So I looked it up on ebay and found the 16gb version for around 150 eur (162 usd) and the 32gb version for 210 eur (227 usd). I also found similar prices on Amazon, but it doesn't ship them to me (Greece). My problem is that I can't afford buying one that is not a real nexus 5 (you know, like an impersonation of the real phone), and these phones from ebay are from Hong Kong, and the 32gb version I found had 2 pictures that the one showed a slightly different back cover that the original one, and I have no idea what to make of it now. What do you think? What is a reasonable price for a brand new nexus 5 in your country? Should I buy it from ebay? Thanks.

I'm running windows 10 Pro with 8GB RAM and AMD graphics on a Lenovo Laptop Everything is working fine but since the clean install it hasn't coped with HD video on YouTube? It can do 1080 sometimes but then a lot of my subs upload in 60fps and it just completely lags and messes up. even when trying to go from full screen to normal it lags like crazy, I think it has something to do with flash players and plugins with chrome, It didn't have this issue with Microsoft Edge but i've been using chrome for years and all of my accounts are on there. Can anyone help?

Source - CNN Money: http://money.cnn.com/2015/12/18/technology/most-used-apps-2015/ Desktop OS Market Share as of November, 2015: https://www.netmarketshare.com/operating-system-market-share.aspx?qprid=10&qpcustomd=0 Smartphone OS Market Share, Q2, 2015 - IDC: http://www.idc.com/prodserv/smartphone-os-market-share.jsp Fact + Opinion: It's true, Microsoft is the world's largest software manufacturer, what's even worse is that they're not on this list. With Microsoft releasing their core productivity apps (especially Office 365 apps) to Android and iOS are we expecting this chart to change? After all, it's the most used and highly rated productivity suite out there. The Google Productivity Suite (Docs, Presentation and Sheets) are doing very well but iWork on the other hand... "Notably absent is Microsoft, one of the largest software makers in the world by revenue." It's really no surprise that the most used app was Facebook with second place going to YouTube (virtually considered in its own right to be a search engine). Microsoft has the largest share of the desktop platform with Windows claiming over A STAGGERING 90% of that market share; and with the help of Project Astoria (bringing Android apps to Windows) and Project Island-wood (bringing iOS apps to Windows) could we see the Mobile OS market share tip in Microsoft's favor and therefore placing them on the chart? "But Microsoft is one of the biggest software companies on the planet. To not be in the top 10 on mobile has got to hurt." Opinion: So far the only reason why app developers would look at porting their apps to Windows is because of the massive 90%+ market share - this means that they can reach even more people on the desktop (courtesy of Microsoft Store on the desktop).

I remember a while back, maybe months ago that I was able to watch 1080p60FPS YT videos just fine, but for a long while, I couldn't and I never bothered to investigate. Well just yesterday, I did a speed test and I found that I had about 40mp/s download speed. However today when I finally decided to check what was going on, I found in task manager that download was at only 3mp/s... is this what's supposed to happen?

I'm interested, why do so many people seem to hate YouTube since Google has done some of it's recent updates within a few years? I just noticed how much hate the YouTube Music video has got. Edit: Just noticed the broken poll... oh well

Source Ever since Google created it's parent company, it allowed itself to split up parts of itself so that any legal action or problems it encounters doesn't affect other parts of the company that has no relation. I.E. Google gets sued by a hardware company for their cars that affects Google Docs. So it was expected for Google car project to get their CEO, what's surprising is that with the addition of the CEO sooner, we can expect to see the driverless cars be implemented and pushed out sooner in our lifetime. The goal for Google with the new CEO is to be able to have a better understanding when partnering with other car manufacturers to be able to push and streamline their projects onto the cars. The step towards a Google Car Company suggest that we will have more of a quicker path to having driverless cars in the near future.

I've found that NPAPI has been completely disabled in the latest version of Google Chrome (45) and I need it to use Java in my browser. Does anyone know of a reliable place to donwload an older version of Chrome for Windows (42/43)? Many sites offer it, but I don't want the mal/adware associated with said sites. Any help on this issue would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

I just signed into Bing and Bing now supports having your interests displayed at the bottom of the homepage and stars mark what your interests are. It will show news topics you are interested in as well as the weather of where you are or places you want to see. Soon, your sports teams will show up as well. Things like this are why I use Bing as well as Google. I only use Google for things that search better on Google. I personally prefer the layout of bing so I often use it.

Wired reports that Amazon, Google, Intel, Microsoft, Mozilla, Netflix, and Cisco have teamed up to create a new video format in order to replace Adobe Flash. It is designed to work on low powered devices at an amazing quality. It will also support copy protection. The format will be released under the Apache 2.0 License which means it's open source and royalty free. It does not have a name yet. We've all heard of their new logo, but even Google doesn't like their own YouTube commenting system. They have blocked commenting on their Logo reveal video. Not sure if they have done this in the past, but if they don't want to use their own system that has to be a problem...

Hello people. i am currently building a site (nothing special), and i want to find the users geolocation if the user press a button. everything looks to work just fine, i have enabled high accuracy, but there are times that the location shown might be a little off position (about 10-50 meters) and other times totally wrong. Just fyi, about 70% of the times the results look good. Is there any other way to improve the accuracy of the gps to find the location? Finally, is there a way to make it work to non supported browsers( fb browser, IE, samsung stock browser that seem not to be supported by the api (edge works fine))

Google is starting to protect some videos legally under fair sure. Meaining for the first time, YouTube is protecting its content creator again takedown request on videos that genuinly follows fair use properly. As Google themselves put it, Ars Technica reports that, The Game reviewer in question is, Jim Sterling, who also made a JIMQUISITION video about it. It's important to note that the legal video protection is only in the US, so the videos are restricted only in the US. In more specifics, Google is ready to put up to a million dollars in legal fees if the people issuing the takedowns decide to go to court.
