Hello all, I currently have a huge back catalogue of game codes that would take ages to shift if I gave them away on my website, so I was thinking of the idea of doing Giveaways on LinusTechTips forums on a regular basis. The way it would work is simple, at any random time I will make a topic and I will include a near full Steam, Origin, Desura, Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo, Amazon code etc, but one digit will be missing. Users can then redeem the code by guessing the missing digit, its rather simple really. So now to the main question, Am I allowed to do this? If YES then the next question would be in which section do I post these Giveaways (PC/Console Gaming forums?). I plan to do one at least every week. Thank you for your time.

A few weeks ago, Google started talking about cookies, how delicious they're and stuff. So I went to buy cookies for it. If you look at the picture, you can see on my task bar a document called "You know what to do". That should have given you a hint that something is going on. Then you can see on the task bar logo of SteamGifts and code 7TXQl - which is the code of the giveaway. If you knew Steamgifts, I'd be pretty easy after that. But not everybody knows Steamgifts yet, so another hint was the Steam on my task bar. If you had googled my Steam profile (just google "tohico steam"), you'd have found it right away. I set up on my Steam profile the Steamgifts group as my favorite group. So you'd have seen the Steamgifts logo right away (on a white background tho) and knew where to go with this code. Oh well, it was probably too complicated without clearly saying that it's a giveaway here. Well, maybe next time :) -

I am in possession of another BF4 key and I already own it. I don't care about selling it or trading it, so a giveaway is in order. :3 However, I don't like just "giving it away" to whoever gets here first. So, what we are going to do is simple. Write me a decent 1-2 paragraph story about an event in your life. Yes, it's high school English all over again. Obviously don't put specifics (i.e. names and such), but just something interesting, funny, epic, or what have you. I'll go through and put all the people who told me a story (that I consider legit) in a big pool and roll a die until only 1 person is left in the list by my rules. That person will win. During Mondays stream where Artesian Builds held a giveaway while building PC's on twitch one of the giveaway winners was deemed not large enough for the giveaway. The CEO who was the one doing the giveaway talked about the stats for this user explaining how they have only 2k followers and that their "ambassador" link was never clicked and explaining this was the reasoning for them to forfeit the giveaway. The winner took to twitter where the Company now having alot of backlash from the community where even creators like JaysTwoCents (many more piling on) are talking about it. Quotes My thoughts Obvious mistakes where made in how this was handled and whats worse it was said by the CEO of their company. If they wanted to do the giveaway to only their larger creators they should have made that clear from the start and limited the names to be what they wanted. They also based the giveaway on what their current setup is. They needed to write out the rules and not have it open to interpretation "giving away stuff for people who are not creating content". They did go over a few creators that didnt fit the criteria for the giveaway but it appears KiaPiaa is the one blowing up from this. My understanding of the giveaway from the short excerpt on their stream Monday. 1.They must be an "Ambassador". 2.They must be producing content. 3. Use their updated panel with a link to their website. 4. must stream. 5. communicate with their company. They might have the full rules listed somewhere on their FB or website that makes this more clear. If I missed anything its more than likely in the Reddit mega thread.
