Budget (including currency): 90,000 BDT Country: Bangladesh Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Warzone, Escape from Tarkov, Rainbow Six Siege, Modern Warfare 2, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effect, Adobe Premier Pro etc. I have attached a build here. I want you to take a look at it and suggest me if something needs changes. I'm concerned if the CPU is bottleneck to the GPU. PS. I am on a very very tight budget so I chose just 8GB RAM for now and after a month I'd take an another RAM stick.

I thought I did my research before buying it, but evidently not. The new Samsung G55A 32" monitor I have looks kinda bad. My older Spectre ultrawide looks better. I am thinking of returning the samsung and finding something better. I thought that HDR 10 would be a good thing, but I was wrong. 95% of content looks washed out and bland. My budget is roughly 400 maybe 500. I want something big, so 32" is pretty good. 1440p is as high as I can go with a 3060. I do not care about HDR because it looks pretty bad in anything that is SDR. I mainly use my PC for watching videos, playing games (RDR2, Portal, SotF) and creating scenes in Blender, so color accuracy is good. P.s I wish I could afford an OLED...

Hi ( english is not my native language so sorry if i make mistakes), for a while now i had some freezes while gaming i had little freezes and long ones. Sometimes when it froze i clicked with the mouse random times and then for 1 milisecond it unfroze and immediately it crashed i had to enter the game again. Most of the freezes happened at the most importat moments and it drove me insane. i researched and seen people say might be an issue with the driver of the graphics card so i kept updating it but it didnt help at all, so i decided to roll it back to an older version. Thanks now it doesnt freeze that often, rarely but it still does. the freezes i had were just freezes no noise nothing but latey they made a brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrt sound like that and froze completly. i am tired. i am researching again and resources say it could be bios i just wanna ask maybe someone can help me, sorry if i havent explained correctly something, please ask i will try and explain more. thanks EDIT: nope i am on a desktop not a laptop, i am not into PCs so i dont know stuff but i'd like to know T.T

First of all my specs: CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800x 8-Core Processor GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti (Drivers up to date) Motherboard: Gigabyte x570 Aorus Elite (Drivers up to date) RAM: VENGEANCE RGB PRO 32GB (16+16) PSU: EVGA GOLD 650 WATT (don't really remember the PSU I have, but remember this info) I'm reaching out for assistance with a persistent stuttering issue I've been experiencing primarily in Fortnite, although it's also noticeable in other games to a lesser extent. In Fortnite, these stutters are particularly troublesome, causing my frame rate to plummet from a steady 300 down to as low as 20-80 sporadically, before bouncing back up instantly. While the problem isn't as severe in other games, it still pops up from time to time. This stuttering problem has been a thorn in my side for quite some time now. Despite upgrading various components of my PC, including switching from an AMD Ryzen 5 5800x CPU and a GTX 1660 Super GPU, the issue persists. I even went as far as swapping out my motherboard, though that was primarily to ensure compatibility with the new CPU. I've diligently explored every troubleshooting avenue available online, tinkering with Windows registry settings and resorting to a complete factory reset in hopes of a resolution. Although there has been some marginal improvement, likely due to updates from Fortnite, the stutters remain an annoyance. I've tried various tweaks such as capping FPS with RTSS, overclocking my CPU to mitigate potential bottlenecks, and adjusting BIOS settings like NVIDIA resizable BAR—all without success. Even toggling RAM XMP settings hasn't provided a lasting solution, although I've opted to keep it enabled for improved RAM performance. At this point, I feel like I've exhausted all options short of building an entirely new PC from scratch. Given the frustration of experiencing stuttering on what many would consider a high-performance PC, any insights or suggestions would be immensely appreciated. I'm eager to restore smooth gaming experiences, especially in Fortnite, which has been marred by these persistent stutters. If you have any advice or solutions to offer, I'd be incredibly grateful. (Before someone asks, yes i did use chat GPT lol, needed to make the reason sound comprehendible as I tend to cramp everything into one place) if you have any further questions about my issue please let me know, thank you in advance

Hi guys, To give you a bit of context, I have a gaming pc at home (a bit old ngl, i5-9400F and 1650Super, 16GB of ram), the thing is that I'm going to buy an ASUS zenbook 15 (Ryzen 7) for class as I'm a student in printing and graphic design. The "problem" is that the ASUS laptop comes with Windows 11 preinstalled and I've always used Windows 10 on my pc at home. So I have 2 options, either when the laptop arrives, I dowgrade from Windows 11 to Windows 10, or I just switch to Windows 11 on my gaming PC at home? I wanted to know what you thought I should do, Thank you very much!!

cpu I512400f and b660tomahawk clock speeds
Kyeman97 posted a topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Hi im having a rough time optimizing this cpu for gaming, what is best for gaming performance clock speeds fluctuations when core set to turbo ratio and c6 c states enabled i get fluctuations of 3.9-4.1 4.4 it only ever gets to 4.4 for a second mainly on 4.1 dipping to 3.9 sometimes will i benefit from syncing all cores and no c state which locks all cores to a constant 3.99 for gaming? No thermal throttle the chip does go above 50degress on stress tests- 6 replies

Ladyfingers and Frigidaires! I'm Timothy Green for TGif Gamer! This is the OFFICIAL blog of yours truly, hosted on this wonderful tech site from Canada! ... ...Okay, I confess. I'm one of those obnoxious Americans. Deal with it. I live in the United States, which - hang on. Isn't Canada also America? I mean, it resides in North America, but then there's also South Amer- ANYWAY! Before I begin to have an existential crisis, let's move on. Here's what I want to discuss. Gaming. D'uh! I mean, come on. TGif GAMER. It's kind of a no-brainer. All games I review are interest-based, and I don't typically review any M-rated games, so no CS:GO, DOOM, or Half-Life. I know, I'm boring. Hopefully, though, not too terribly much, because I also talk about all the geeky technical details of a particular game! ...If you're not zoned out yet, CONGRATS! YOU'VE GOT GEEK STATUS!!! Wow, GIFs work in this blog. Noice. So do emojis! Sooo, games. What kinds, then? Mainly Steam or Switch, since that's what I look at most, but also some older games. I may repost my reviews from Steam, link gamer videos I find interesting, or even share some thoughts about a niche game I like. Depends on my mood, really, so please no requests. Tech, technically. Because gamer equipment. I like unique tech too, like smart pens, so I might cover my take on that stuff, as well. Toys? Maybe. Depends. If it makes beeping sounds, probably. If it's nerdy trivia or something related to nerd stuff, again maybe. It either needs to be collectibles or man stuff to be well covered here, though I might share thoughs on some kids' products, too. Tools? Like what kind of tools? Didn't I just talk about this? Oh, you said TOOLS, not TOYS! ...Whatever, they're both the same thing. I know LTT Store has some tools, but what I cover are other brands (sorry, Linus). Usually multi-tool gadgets, or some other unpopular brand. Lately, I've been into some Kikkerland and SmartGear stuff, so expect quite a bit of that. What else? I probably won't cover other things here that I would talk about more on Discord or Steam Chat (like commercials, TV shows, books, movies, etc.), so I guess that's it. Anyway, I'm done typing. Bye!

Hey , im having some grounding issues, my case shocks me a lot of times and i have gigantic input lag and the mouse feels floaty and i tried everything you can imagine but didn´t change the case. The case doesnt have the hd audio neither the usb conectors, im just using the front panel conectors, the standoffs seem a little funky and pc is very unstable, even with tests in aida64 and prime95. Could a case actually be a bottleneck for a pc? Since its not in good conditions. Thanks in advance. PS: Could the bad case actually affect the grounding in the whole pc?

Budget (including currency): 5000 DKK/700$ Country: Denmark Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: The server would be run 1-2 gaming server(from Minecraft to ARK) at the time, plus storage of photos and other files Other details: I am new to the building of server and what system I should use on them, so I am looking for advice on what parts would be a good fit and the same for what kind of system is a good choice for a gaming/storage server. As of now I been looking at using the case Core 500 or Node 804 from Fractal Design, and for the other parts the only thing I know there is needed are at minimum 32gb of ram. For the storage I have been thinking of having minimum 5tb for storage and been thinking of either raid 1 or raid 10. For those who use the time to help, many thanks

Hello everyone, I’m reaching out for help with an ongoing issue where my PC abruptly powers off during gaming sessions, and I’ve been unable to pinpoint the cause. This issue does not occur during regular use or less demanding games, but consistently happens when playing more graphically intensive games. So far, I’ve conducted extensive testing, including: • CPU stress tests • GPU stress tests • RAM tests • Complete system reset All tests showed no issues, and the system reset did not resolve the problem. Here are the specs for reference: • AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-core processor • 16GB RAM • NVIDIA GeForce 2060 • 750W power supply I’ve ensured all software and drivers are up to date and have been monitoring temperatures, which remain within normal ranges. The problem persists across multiple graphics cards, so I’ve ruled out the GPU as the cause. I’m now considering potential issues with the power supply or motherboard but would greatly appreciate any insights or suggestions from the community. Has anyone else encountered a similar problem or could offer advice on what to test next? Thank you for any assistance you can provide!

Hello everyone, I'm facing a recurring issue with my gaming PC that I built two years ago. It's been running smoothly until recently when it started to shut down unexpectedly during graphically intense gaming sessions. It handles less demanding games like Minecraft or Smite without any problems, but when I switch to more demanding titles, it just powers off with no error message or warning. I thought it was a GPU problem initially, but after testing with three different graphics cards, the issue persists, which leads me to believe it might not be related to the GPU after all. I'm hesitant to keep purchasing new parts without identifying the root cause of the problem. Has anyone experienced something similar, or could you provide any insights into what could be causing these sudden shutdowns? I'm at a loss here and would greatly appreciate your help and suggestions. Here are my PC specs for reference: - AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-core processor - 16GB RAM - NVIDIA GeForce 2060 - 750W power supply Thank you in advance for your time and help!

My recent motherboard (ASUS TUF Gaming Z690-Plus DDR5) that I have changed out for a new one (MSI MAG B760 Tomahawk WIFI), since there had been a short in the rear I/O and thus fried all of the USBs and not allowing to boot. Now that I have changed my motherboard, everything became worse. Suddenly games have enourmous input-lag, sometimes taking several seconds before keys are registered, games loading longer than usual, freezing of screens and many more things. I just want to try and understand what is going wrong, since the input-lag really makes gaming unenjoyable. Here are my full specs: Intel Core i9-13900k 64GB 5200MHz (not on XMP, so on 4800MHz) DDR5 from Corsair ASUS TUF RTX 4070 Ti MSI MAG B760 Tomahawk WIFI Motherboard 850W Corsair PSU Hope someone could help!

Hello dear LTT subscribers, i have been trying to setup a gaming server for Point Blank but all attempts failed as im simply incompitent (Requires knowlage of C+ and Java). A game that is no longer offered in North America. While it remains active in Latin America, Philipines, India and Russia, ping is shooting to the moon. Im seeing if SantaLinus and his team of network-filmmaking elfs would take on this project. What is Point Blank: FPS that is ideal for cyber sport, while it is not as famous as CS:GO, a chunk of gamers who played both would rather play Point Blank because its simple and pure skill based. Note that some pay to win is present (as that is how game makes money), with some work same can be acheaved. What Happened: Game was equiped with poor anticheat system, in 2015 RageGame realized that the game is dieing down and has been sold this project Zepetto. New owner provided terrible to no support and did not invest into anticheat system. As a result Project has shut down in North America last year and it seems that it will remain closed. How far did i get: When i recived notice of hosting termination, i emailed Zeppeto several times, asking if i could take it on and keep the game alive paying for game hosting to one of the hosting providors, hoping to get official server files, no response. (in addition to that i ended up going student broke, lol), I didint give up and after hours of research on ragezone (mmo development community) have brought me to either a localhost gameplay with no way of other players to connect or a gaming server with lots of problems, either way i could not provide a good anticheat support. while server runned poorly on v41, after the update to v42 i could not get it working at all. Here is the link to best server i could find on ragezone (http://forum.ragezone.com/f906/tutorial-instal-pbrcrossv42-server-jre-1149007/) To conclude, i tried to revive a game i really like, contacted the company that does not provide support and have greatly failed. Now looking for someonle to take this on and get it to a working condition. I mean there is a minecraft server hosted by Linus Media Group, so there is hope. Thank you in advance. VB. P.S. i can provide the server copy i have if Linus or someone trustworthy contacts me, will not post here as it has my ip address in it. all those things can be found at ragezone

Budget: ~$1800 total Country: USA (NY) Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Fortnite, BG3, Minecraft (hosting server), random AAA shooters, Hogwarts Legacy | NUTS simulations, model development and local training, local LLM development/deployment Other details: pc part picker list, getting an m.2 at some point on sale (gen 5 worth?), getting a 34in monitor, upgrading from ASUS Scar Strix II GL504GS (gtx 1070, i7-8750h, 32g ddr4), would like to play 1440p 144hz. Hello everyone, I am building my first real PC after living the gaming laptop life for 6-ish years. I included my pc-partpicker list above, but my only real concerns are with the 7800x3d. I know it's a fantastic gaming chip, and I know it's a massive upgrade from what I have (plus the AM5 lifespan), but would a 14700k or 7900x do me better here for the same price considering my use cases? The split will probably be 65/35 gaming to work, but that work is really intensive. I have heard things about RAM instability with AMD chips, will I have issues like that with my setup here? Also, I know the 8000 series is coming out soon, should that have any effect on my choices here? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Community, I´m getting some issues recently while trying to play Dayz again. While trying to connect i´ll get the error 0x00010001 which means that the host is not reachable, but with VPN connection everything works. So it has to be a problem with my settings. I tried to set up another DNS 8.8.8.8 & 1.1.1.1 instead of my pihole. I tried to open ports (set up a wildcard) for testing in my pfsense. I have uninstalled my surfshark vpn (sometimes they do cause the issue) and now I don´t have any idea left to check. Mostly I run an proxy to cloudflare for my whole network, but I disabled it for the testing. Has anyboby an idea what I could do next? Thx a lot

Its time we had a discussion... So many people are buying extremely high-end components that are simply unnecessary and overkill. I figured I would create a guide to help people decide what hardware is best for their use case. How many frames per second do I need? What settings should I run, what resolution should I play at? Lets talk about all these things today... FPS: Lets start by talking about refresh rate and frames per second (FPS). Linus PROVED a while back in a video called "Does High FPS Make you a Better Gamer" that for the VAST MAJORITY of gamers, frame rates beyond 144 FPS/Hz simply make no difference whatsoever. At 144Hz, the smoothness and responsiveness is so fast that your keyboard and mouse themselves attribute the vast majority of the input lag and the human body simply cannot detect lag caused by FPS at these extremely high frame rates. Even professional E-Sports gamers stated in the video that they feel there is basically NO DIFFERENCE WHATSOEVER between 144 and 240 Frame Rates. These professional gamers tend to go for extremely high frame rates anyways to reduce latency in the game's processing, but this guide is aimed at the average gamer, not a professional. These response times on the levels of a few thousandths of a second and the average gamer will NEVER detect them. In the Linus Video, they explored the differences between 60FPS/Hz, 144 FPS/Hz, and 240 FPS/Hz. What they did NOT talk about is at what point do we hit diminishing returns? At what point before 144 FPS is that magical number that feels incredibly smooth and responsive? Allow me to explain... 60 FPS may seem smooth to watch and indeed it is, but 60 FPS isn't quite fast enough for fast-paced gaming. This is because of how much time is needed for your machine to produce the next frame. The amount of time needed to produce each frame at 60 FPS is long enough to where if you move your mouse back and forth quickly, you will notice slight lag, it just won't feel all that responsive, and this is why the ideal gaming frame rate is well above 60 FPS. So how far do we need to go? Well it is somewhat subjective but there are some general "rules of thumb" that can help you decide. Even just a bit above 60 FPS at 75 FPS, things will begin to feel fairly responsive, but if you want the best performance before diminishing returns, there are still gains to be had. At 90 FPS, things will look and feel fantastic, with incredible response. At 90 FPS you will probably be quite satisfied with your experience, but we should reach a bit higher, and here is why... When your machine experiences a huge load in a demanding area of a game, the FPS will drop for a single instant here and there, this is what we know in benchmarking as 1% lows. The problem with 90 FPS gaming is that these 1% lows can still drop you into the 60's of FPS. And when that happens, you will certainly feel it. This is why 90 FPS gaming isn't quite enough to be considered a pretty-much perfect gaming experience. What you should aim for is 100+ average FPS. Once you cross the triple-digit threshold, your gaming experience will be extremely satisfying at all times, because your 1% lows will stay at or above 75-80 FPS. These 1% lows will be so smooth that you probably won't have even noticed that they happened, and so 100+FPS is ideal target for the best value gaming. However, as newer games come out, and your hardware ages, performance will drop a bit over time. But to counter this, most reviews on PC gaming content focus on performance results at Ultra Settings. So as your PC ages, you should be able to drop your settings from Ultra to High in order to keep about the same frame rates in upcoming games for a few years. Keep this in mind for later... GAME SETTINGS: So what about settings and resolution? Lets get settings out of the way - aim for High settings. High settings are a very satisfying experience and the visuals will be stunning. Very High/Ultra settings demand a lot more power for not a whole lot more beauty and so in reality, Ultra settings are unnecessary. But if you aim too low and end up with low or medium settings, you will definitely notice the difference between these settings and High settings. RESOLUTION: Finally - resolution. Resolution is completely subjective. Some people enjoy 1080p, others enjoy 4K. But, there are diminishing returns with graphical fidelity, so lets outline those now: 1080p is great for very small monitors. It looks about as sharp as it can get on 20" and smaller screens, and still looks pretty good up to 30" gaming monitors, but most people can see the difference between 1080p and 1440p, so that choice is yours. 1440p is actually the ideal computer monitor resolution in most cases. It looks insanely sharp on pretty much any standard-sized monitor and most people cannot tell the difference between 1440p and 4K. I personally play at 1440p ultrawide for that extra side-to-side vision and its an incredible experience (3440x1440p) 4K is actually pretty useless in more situations than you might think. Research and scientific studies have shown that the human eye with perfect 20-20 vision actually CANNOT see the difference between 1440p and 4K on any screen up to 50" with your face just 18" away from the screen. Linus even did a video a while back called "4K Gaming is Dumb" that goes over why its pretty much completely unnecessary. Choosing Hardware Based on this Information: PC Hardware reviews pretty much always focus on performance delivered at Ultra gaming settings. Since Ultra settings are unnecessary, you can use the performance gap between High and Ultra settings as your performance overhead for upcoming games in the future. And so... If you want a gaming experience so good that you wouldn't be able to tell if you upgraded further, and you want to use a standard sized monitor like most PC gamers do, then you want to purchase hardware that is shown to deliver an average of at LEAST 100 FPS at Ultra Settings for your chosen resolution, and 1440p is the recommended resolution for standard-sized PC monitors. Now the hardware you choose will depend on if you want standard 2560x1440p resolution or ultra-wide 3440x1440p or whatever other form of 1440p you might want, but if you do your research and keep these rules of thumb in mind, you will end up with an incredible gaming machine without over-spending. Of course everyone will have their opinions, Im sure plenty of people will say I am wrong. But think about it before commenting. When was the last time you played a game at 90-100 FPS and you thought to yourself "This is a terrible experience, I need to upgrade my PC because this is just un-playable".
