Hey! Im planning on buying a 40 to 43 inch 4k TV which Im gonna use with a PS5. But I can't decide which one to buy. So I am asking here. The TV should have a good image quality. Good enough for gaming at like 2m distance. Most important to me is a good pixel response time and as low flicker as possible (headache...). SmartTV and Sound is pretty unimportant since I have a external sound system and I will only use the screen for my PS5. So the quality and stuff of those two things don't really matter. Whats made it pretty hard for me to decide though is the price. I can't pay too much. since I live in switzerland it is a bit hard for me to give a certain number. So I guess just suggest some TVs meeting those requierements and that are not waaaay too expensive. Thank you very much!

As the title suggests, I need help choosing a windows laptop for my partner. My budget is sub £1000 ideally around the £600-700 range. As my partner needs to take their laptop to lectures, being relatively lightweight would be good. It will mainly be used for taking notes however it will also be used for some light gaming (Skyrim, Minecraft, Slime Rancher etc.) Nothing too taxing. It would also be GREAT to have a fingerprint scanner as my partner has ADHD and gets super frustrated with passwords. The keyboard and typing experience is not a huge issue for them, as they are terrible at typing anyways and the same goes for the trackpad, as long as both are functional. My partner is NOT a techy person and so will not be un/impressed by extra nice keyboard/display technology/refresh rate/bezels/ Many thanks to the kind people of the LTT forum. Ordered List of priorities: 1. Decent boot speed and performance. 2. Practicality and real world convenience (weight and size). 3. Light gaming. 4. Ease of use.

So I am considering buying a new router since the one I got from my ISP can only do wifi and have a little switch connected for wired. The problem is that my pc when connected to the switch can't find devices connected to the router via wifi. So I wanted to get a router that has wifi and a few lan ports instead of having the router and switch seperate. From the ISP I got this: https://eyenetworks.no/en/air-4920-product-information/ and the switch looks exactly like this just smaller (could not find the exact same) https://eu.dlink.com/uk/en/products/dgs-1008d-8-port-10-100-1000mbps-gigabit-switch So I am not really sure what price point I would be looking at. I could maybe throw 50 dollars on a router and be more happy with it than what I have now or maybe I would need to spend a lot more? I have only ever had the standard routers I got from my ISP. I had considered wanting to use my quest 2 headset with oculus airlink but I am not sure if any router would do or if I had to buy something more expensive like a "Asus rt-ax86u" for example? I play games on pc that is always wired, my ps5 use wifi and is in the same room as the router, and then I use my smart tv that is upstairs that is in the room right above the router. So it isn't a huge house or anything. I hope that someone will be able to give som suggestions or information. Cause I am not sure what exactly I am looking for or what price point I need to look at to get what I just explained?

I am looking to get a new monitor for my PC. In general, I do not know much about monitors and would like some assistance in choosing one. One of the most important things I am looking for in a monitor is the ability to play dart games with greater clarity. Whenever I play a game with a dark area and a bright light in the middle, the entire dark area becomes harder to see as a result. While I have researched IPS, OLED, and microLED, I am still not sure which to choose due to the pros and cons of each. Here are some small things I am also looking for the monitor to have: -Min of 144Hz -at least 1 DisplayPort and HDMI -Contrast Ratio over 1,000:1 (I prefer not dynamic) - High Display Colors - I would like speakers built but i can go without them - would like 4k but ill be okay with smaller resolution if it cost too much I got my budget is over a $1k usd but I honestly would prefer to find something not around a $1k. I would like to have some money left over so I can buy more stuff for my computer. Some things I'll be using the monitor for is gaming, art and 3d modeling

Hi there, I am curious about what docking station i need for my laptop (MSI katana 15 b12v) to support my monitor (MSI MAG241C) with the full 144hz. I also watched many videos and read many threads to get an answer but i still can't find it. I only need it to be 1080p because my monitor doesn't support 4K, i would love a recommendation that isnt too expensive but still supports 1 HDMI or DP output for my monitor that reaches the 144hz.

I'm gonna have some friends over and I thought that instead of watching movies like we usually do, I thought playing some video games might be fun to try. However, no one (including me) is a gamer. This is the hardware I have: PC (RTX 2060, 16 GB RAM). Mac (M1 Max, 32 GB RAM). 1440p 165 hz monitor. 4K OLED TV 60 hz. Three DUALSHOCK 4 PS4 Bluetooth controllers (unfortunately no PS4 at the moment though, long story...). I would prefer if there was a game that supported local multiplayer by using the two/three DUALSHOCK 4 Bluetooth controllers at the same time to the same device. But maybe those single device multiplayer games are mostly for console? We're open for any suggestions in terms of genre. I apologize in advance for my lack of gaming knowledge.

Budget (including currency): Willing to go to around 500 euros (don't need to suggest things just to spend it all if theres no significant improvement ) Country: Lithuania - Nothern Europe (don't you dare say otherwise) Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: programming, maybe game creation + I have a horrible tendency to have a atleast a few programs open (Opera GX with 100+ tabs, Spotify, Discord, Microsoft Teams, and some game), gaming (Destiny 2, Cyberpunk 2077, Elden Ring, Hogwars Legacy) Other details: I would like to buy the parts during this holiday season and Im upgrading from this PC: PCPartPicker Part List: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/NN6FCd CPU: Intel Core i5-8400 2.8 GHz 6-Core OEM/Tray Processor CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler Motherboard: Asus Prime Z370-P ATX LGA1151 Motherboard Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 8 GB (2 x 4 GB) DDR4-3000 CL15 Memory Storage: Seagate BarraCuda 2 TB 3.5" 7200 RPM Internal Hard Drive Video Card: Asus DUAL GeForce GTX 1060 6GB 6 GB Video Card Case: Deepcool Dukase ATX Mid Tower Case Power Supply: EVGA 650 BQ 650 W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-modular ATX Power Supply Monitor: couldnt even find it in PCPartPicker, its Asus VW202 1680x1050 with 59 Hz Why am I upgrading? Starting up the PC takes a while, same with opening up apps, so overall speed increase would be nice + I would like to play the games I mentioned. I used to be able to play Destiny 2 PVP some years ago, but now I cant even get loaded into a match, much less play against others. By using CanIRunIt I saw that getting more RAM would allow me to reach the minimum requirements for some games and maybe even recommended requirements for others. Someone told me I could increase the overall PC speed by getting an SSD and loading the OS onto it. As I'm not that knowledgeable, I would also like to ask if I need to upgrade my monitor, I know it's old, and I was thinking of getting a 1920x1080 with higher Hz sometime down the future, but I dont know if that will help with performance + it might eat huge part of the budget? Thank you for the help

Hello, I just built a new PC and when I run games the GPU isn't on 100% usage. Depending on the game it's around 30 to 60-70%. In beamng-drive the average is 50-60% which is around 100-120fps. And sometimes the GPU usages goes up to 80-90% and then I get 170-200fps and then it drops again to 60%. most of my games run good when the GPU is on 50-60% but of course I want the performance I paid for. Any guess what it can be? I guess it is some sort of setting since I sometimes get 100% and then It drops. I play on 1080p 240hz and all games are on high to ultra settings. Specs: RTX 4070 TI Ryzen 5 7600x 850W PSU RAM 32GB 4800MHZ M.2 SSD WD BLACK ETC ETC

Budget (including currency): $500 USD Country: United States Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Counter-Strike 2, Dark and Darker, Productivity in General Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Existing PC that would like to be upgrade - HP Z220 SFF Workstation PC Specs: CPU: Intel Xeon E3 1225 v2 (4 cores, 4 threads) GPU: Integrated CPU graphics PSU: OEM HP PSU 240W Storage: 1 TB HDD (I know an SATA SSD is needed to improve PC performance) Memory: 2x4gb DDRM RAM (8gb RAM total) @ 1600 MHz (I know this should be upgraded to 16gb or 32gb total) Motherboard: HP MOTHERBOARD (655840-001) Would be playing on 60 Hz @ 1920x1080 Native for any game that is not CS2 (CS2 I play on 1280x96 4:3 60 Hz), already have a monitor to handle this case usage. No peripherals are needed. When am I going to buy? When the price is right for me. Hello, I am looking to upgrade my HP Z220 SFF Workstation to play CS2 + Darker and Darker at 60+ FPS. I have been doing some research and was wondering what is the best part for both CPU and GPU for this setup. I was wondering if I could put a low profile GTX 1070 or RX 580 as a GPU, I wasn't too sure if 4 cores 4 threads for my current CPU would be a bottle neck or would need an upgrade here. Ideallly I'm just looking to upgrade only CPU, GPU, and Memory. I do not want to move my components to a new case or motherboard or PSU.

Budget (including currency): €600-€700 Country: Netherlands Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming: Fortnite, FiveM GTAV, Rocket League and stuff Other details: I am helping my nephew to build his first gaming pc. I would like a PC for him that just works. No trouble shooting ever. I do not mind helping him with the assembly of the computer, but we haven't decided whether we want a prebuild or will build the computer ourselves. He is currently using a PS4 and he does not need any peripherals. He currently has a small tv but he is planning to upgrade to a gaming monitor - 165Hz 1080p (16:9) in the future. He wants to buy the pc sometime soon. I currently got this partlist: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/bwjqN6 , but these are not the exact parts he probebly will and up buying as we wil be looking at availability in dutch webshops. Windows is purchased separately via a 'legal' website for a few euros (I also did that for my pc and it works). Are these parts about right for the budget? And is there any other advise?

Hi all, At university, I have access to a PC with a GPU. I am allowed to use at as long as I dont interface with the storage on that PC or install anything. I want to use it for gaming. I was thinking if it was possible to use an external drive to boot an OS and use the installed GPU and peripherals for gaming. For context the PC has a RTX3080 installed. For gaming I will be using Steam and EPIC. If externally booting is an option what are the things that I should keep in mind before trying that since that PC has a lot of important data regarding research projects.

Hey! Soooo long story short. I have a zephyrus gaming laptop (it's been amazing) I play Fortnite often at mid settings and DX12, and it's been all good 120fps for like 8 months, but now I'll randomly get a crash saying I've run out of GPU memory and I'll check armory crate and it'll be MAXXED out randomly. But it games for hours and hours before that just fine, not at 100% usage and with no issues? Any idea if this is a Fortnite thing or driver issue? I'm fully up to date on updates, thank you!

I haven't upgraded the PC in a couple of years and it's due. This area is not my specialty so I was looking for some advice. The GPU is at the top of my list along with a new monitor. What else should I look at? Nvidia GTX 1080 GPU AMD Ryzen 7 1700 Eight-Core Processor 16.0GB Single-Channel DDR4 RAM Gigabyte Technology Co. Ltd. AB350M-DS3H-CF (AM4) Motherboard 931GB Western Digital WDC WDS100T2B0A-00SM50 (SATA SSD) Drive The SSD card was my most recent upgrade, I plan to put in an RTX 4070 along with a new monitor to go with it of course. What else should I think about upgrading for better gaming performance?
