Hey guys, I'm having some hard time deciding what MOBO to choose. I have an i5 4460, 16 GHz of 1600 RAM and a R9 380 4GB. I don't care about overclock (see the non-K CPU) and I am just a mid-level gamer. I don't know if I should go with ASROCK H97 Pro4 or the ASUS H81 Gamer (same price here). This is what I know: ASRock: It's a newer chipset, windows 10 ready and supports from the start the 4460 CPU. ASUS: it's a older chipset, windows 8.1 ready (not windows 10 ready -yet), it need a bios update so the 4460 can run and it has supremeFX audio. TBH, I was 99% sure that I will get the ASRock MOBO. But that blue color scheme is ruining all because I have RED rams and an MSI video card. So the only real reason I would pick the ASUS is the color and maybe the SupremeFX audio. Let me know what would you do? Thank you!

hi guys, I'm building my first rig in a NZXT Phantom 530 case, and I was thinking about putting a Corsair RM750 in it ... But the question is: will the cables (SATA most of all) be able to get to all the components ? The case is pretty big so I'm a bit scared... the build is: CPU: i7490K RAM: 16gigs of Kingston HyperX fury GPU: Sapphire r9 390 nitro Mobo: MSI Z97S Krait 1150 Storage: probably 2 HDD's (1 TB) and one 240gig SSD thanks in advance ... PS: does anyone know the difference between a boxed and tray version of a CPU ?

Original Article: http://www.pcgamer.com/rockstar-talk-4k-pc-performance-and-more Recently, I posted an article about Gamespot asking some questions to Rockstar concerning GTA V PC, You can find that article HERE, and now PCGamer has done the same, so I thought I would share this conversation. First off, both news sites have been talking to the same people over at Rockstar North, Director of technology Phil Hooker, Director of engineering Klaas Schilstra and Technical director Adam Fowler. These have been paraphrased by me to also include my opinions on the answer that Rockstar has given. Question 1: Information on the team working on GTA V PC. How long have they worked for Rockstar and what have they done in the past? Answer: Question 2: When did you decide GTA V was coming to PC and when did you start to work on it. Answer: Question 3: How did the process of bringing GTA 5 to PC compare to previous Rockstar games on PC, like GTA 4, LA Noire and Max Payne 3? Was there anything different this time around? Answer: Question 4: The minimum and recommended specs for recent AAA PC-titles for many modern games are much more demanding, yet the specs for GTA 5 are quite low in comparison. Which resolution and frame rate are the recommended specs based on? Are the recommended specs for playing it in 1080p / 60 fps? Which specs do you need to play it in 4k resolution and 30/60 fps, and what is the optimal way to run the game? (That is a lot of questions in one, fair play PC gamer) Answer: Question 5: Does 60fps make a difference in-game? Answer: Question 6: Will the game be locked at 60fps? Answer: Question 7: PC supports 4K, how much of a difference does that make? Answer: Question 7: Can you talk about the range of PC-specific visual options in GTA 5? In the PS3 and Xbox 360 editions I was blown away by the environmental detail and water effects – how far can players push those options on high-end PCs? Answer: Question 8: Can you talk about the development of the Rockstar Video Editor for GTA 5? What are the differences between the version for GTA 4 and this one? Answer: That was a lot of typing. My overall thoughts. This interview, if it can be called that, was a lot more in-depth compared to the one done by Gamespot, as it covered many more questions and questions we wanted to hear, such as it the game limited to x amounts of FPS?. As I said, I have paraphrased most, if not all of the questions and answers, so there is some information missing. I highly recommend you read this article on PCGamers website. Your Thoughts, please leave them down below!

For some time now, I've got alot of keys, for many games. I never found the opportunity, but now I think I found it. I liked Linus's videos on Youtube for SOOOOO long, and wanted to join the forums, but since I'm living REALLY far, I could'nt join, the site was too slow. But now, it's working just fine, And you guys are being SO nice over here, I think I want to give out to you guys, as well. So about the key - It's from humblebundle.com . I hav'nt used it since I already got one, and as I said, I had no one worthy enough to me, giving it up. The task really is simple: Tell me the funniest thing that happend to you! This way, the choosing is simple - based on likes of the comment!] *I'm not promising, but I might have keys of bioshok 1 and 2 as well, so you probley won't wast your time. That's it, I guess. *I'll out for 3 days (Over here right now it's 4pm, sunday), so the winner(s!) will get theire prizes by Wensday. **If this thread will go well, I'll give up more keys! B)

Why, hello there, LTT community! I actually joined this forum about a month ago but I haven't really got into using it until very recently. I knew LTT through a PC gaming Facebook group, and ever since, I've been eagerly awaiting new videos from him YouTube channel about the latest in tech. I think after reading the top, you would've known that I'm a PC gamer. I play a variety of games on my current system, which is a Lenovo IdeaPad Y410P laptop which is nice for gaming and will do until I have the space for a good desktop. My Steam Community ID is [GFRCE] D13H4RD2L1V3, and you'll most likely see me play Team Fortress 2, but I can play others too. Steam profile link is at the bottom if you wanna check it out. And yes, I'm an Android enthusiast. My first Android was the humble Samsung GT-i9100G Galaxy S2 dating back from 2011. I currently use 4 Android devices, 2 of which are running custom ROMs. I'm eager to see how the community of this forum is like, and maybe some of you can introduce yourselves. Hi Guys, PC gamers are hard to come by, so I thought I'd look for some. As the title suggests, I am living in the north-east of England and I'd like to add some people who are PC or Xbox one gamers. To be honest, I'd like to find people who are into computers around here in general. Anyone fit the bill?

I'm going to be building a new computer in the future, and I was initially going to reuse the case for my old computer as it has an unassuming appearance yet still has good ventilation. However, I discovered that a new PSU would not fit in the case, and placing the PSU at the bottom would not be feasible. I want a case that doesn't look flashy or have an over-the-top appearance designed to turn heads. I want a regular case that would look like a regular computer, no design quirks or unique aspects. Just a regular case. I can't seem to find any on my own, so I need some suggestions. I like the idea of having a computer that doesn't look like much but turns out to be quite powerful. A "sleeper", if you will.

hey Guys, I've decided to build my first gaming computer after I had some negative experiences with pre-build computers, I've compiled a list of parts possible for a first build, and I'd like your opinion on some of the stuff that I'm not sure about... CPU: i7-4790K 4.0ghz (or an i5 maybe ?) RAM: 16GB Corsair Vengeance MoBo: no idea yet, any suggestion are welcome GPU: GTX 970 Gigabyte Windforce 4GB Storage: Seagate Barracuda 2TB + Kingston SSD 120 GB CPU cooler: Corsair H100i OR Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO PSU: EVGA 120-G1-0650-XR 650 W Case: haven't made my mind up yet but I'm thinking about a NZXT H440 or something from Corsair, but I'm not sure; airflow is most important for me though... Any opinions ? can I save on something ? Are there any bottlenecks ? Should I spend more on something and less on other things ? Thanks in advance...

Hello everyone! If your like me youve built your own pc, so you can game, surf the net, and do anything you cant do on a console. So I was on a supper budget and built a mid to high range pc depending on how hardcore you are most likely viewed as a mid level gamer but should run any AAA game on normal settings. My Specs are: AMD FX 8350 @ 4.0 to 4.2g Corsair H100I liquid cooler 240mm rad x2 120mm corsair high pressure fan Asrock killer 990fx falta1ty am3+ motherboard 24 gigs of ddr3 @ 1650 dual channel memory Samsung gen2 m.2 x4 ssd 128gig for Game Call of duty : Advanced warfare Corsair force gt 120gig for OS corsair force gs 240gig for games 1tb hhd WD black for backups and other media R9 280X windforece gigabyte 3g ddr5 crossfire R9 280X windforece gigabyte 3g ddr5 Gskill ram cooler rosewill throne g windowed with eight fans @140mm Antec high current gamer M 750 continuous psu killer e2200 lan samsung 1080 and CM key and mouse the issue I am having is loading, the videos between gaming glitch and stuter, when in game play I do get some lines but I wanted to see if anyone is having this issue, also when loading my cpu is at 100 but game play 36 percent and never uses more than 30 percent of my ram. I can play this game its just loading issues and lag, I havent been able to get a straight anwser form anyone one, ie steam and activision let alone the makers, have found one other person with same issues but no responce on the cod fourm. if I owned an xbox or ps3 they have options, I tried to reload the game twice and not multi player yet just to get things running smoth, also dx11 and the gam only say I have 2g of video ram when I have six in my system, is this a windowns 7 issues? any help would be great thanks jay

Sup guys So I play MMORPGS but the macros of the k90 are really useless? I was reading that. so here are my questions. 1.- In the k70 the WASD and 123456 keys are removable? 2.- What are the differences between k70 and k90? 3.-Which is the most gorgeous and imposing? (The k70 is the red led version and the k90 the white led version) And I hope to hear your experiences with those badass keyboards.

Good and silent air cooler that don't interfere with the RAM and PCI slots. I have an i7 4790k in 4.6GHz (not a huge overclock) and 3-way SLI GTX 780. My motherboard is a Maximus VI Extreme. I want the best performance possible while keeping it quiet (I can buy noctua fans later). Thanks

Hi fellow LTT Member, I have been fooled today(More trolly shock than and actually shock). My friend of a few years now who preached all the PC master race talk replied in a skype call today that he never heard of Star Cit. We looked at him several times and asked,"You're joking right"? He was serious. I don't know how to feel right now. LMFAO. As we speak he is now getting up to speed on it and his face is priceless watching the videos. NOTE* This is satire but the events are true. Post below your thoughts and concern. We need to expose more of these PCMR wannabe's. YOU'RE A BIG FAT PHONEY! -Family Guy

I know budget builds are a huge topic that pop up all the time. I'm kind of curious though; what is everyone's go to budget build? I have personally been playing around on pcpp making different budget builds ($650 cap) doing so tonight made me wonder... What is considered a "Gaming" pc? Now, I love games, I consider myself a gamer. I play across several platforms and such. However, When I try to (theoretically at-least. It sucks being broke) build a budget gaming rig, I aim for something that can handle most current/nextgen titles at around med-high~50-fps (if possible). Do you guys think that in order for it to be a "Gaming rig" it has to play ulta res 4k at 100fps?

I wasnt really sure where to put this since this isnt really about specific games pc or console, but gamers in general and what is it to make a true gamer, a true gamer. One of my friends made this and I think they did a pretty good job at it http://i-have-a-dragon-ring.tumblr.com/post/55675701283 My opinion is much like his own. A gamer is just someone who is passionate about playing videogames. Gender doesnt play a role, or how hard of games you play. But this seems to be causing debates lately and the such. Not in this community because it is awesome. But on other pages of this infinite tubes of web. But my other opinion is, a gamer plays more than just one game, unless the game really is that fun for them, but if it is just a game they play...like farmville. I don't know if I would call that a gamer. I was just wondering other people opinions about gaming and what makes a gamer, a gamer?

Well, apparently Sony is going to release a zombie MMO. The game is called H1Z1. Sony says that they're releasing the game because there really hasn't been a large scale zombie MMO with Zombies as the main center of attention. Sony said: "The world is massive as you’ve come to expect from our games". So we should expect a big world from what Sony says. I guess we will have to wait. I don't want to spoil all the info on the game, so go ahead and read it. But before that, here's the first screenshot of the game: Source: http://www.gamersbook.com/News/Article/ID/748/Sony-Announces-Zombie-MMO-H1Z1-First-Screenshots Happy reading, Max.
