Ok I'm looking for a decent smaller Xbox style wireless controller (preferably bluetooth) to keep in my laptop bag for when I get a chance to play certain games on the road. I have seen some out there that look like they would be good but they are only for smart phones not windows or some very sketchy "Wish" like deals shipping out of China, Full size xbox ones plus the long ass wire or needed dongles are too bulky with the already thic power brick I have to keep in my bag Has anyone had any luck with knock off bluetooth gamepads?

Hi friends I have installed my usb controller to my pc and also installed the speed Link driver and using xbox360ce emulator 64 bit and 32 bit depending on the game. Only problem is vibration is not working in games. Vibration does work when I go to usb controller settings and test vibration there it works fine but not working in games. In windows 7 it used to work fine but now I'm in windows 10 and for some reason it does not work. Is it something I need to turn on in Xbox 360ce simulator? Please help me solve this problem. I tried searching online and YouTube and there is only one solution I can find is download and install the speed link driver which I already have.

For some reason, my USB receiver for my gamepad controller doesn't work. It looked like a mouse wireless mouse USB receiver. I have GXT 590 Bosi Bluetooth Wireless Gamepad by Trust. Where can I get a replacement receiver for the controller? When the USB receiver previously worked and I plugged it in, it showed up as an Xbox 360 controller, but when I connect it using Bluetooth, it shows as a Generic controller. I tried contacting Trust, but they said that they don't sell replacement parts. Sorry for my bad English.

Okay, so today I bought a Logitech F710 gamepad (wireless) and it came with a usb nanoreceiver. I tested it out and it works great, however I have a question. My pc keeps supplying power to the usb ports when it's shut down (I haven't found a way to disable this) and I want to know - should I leave my nanoreceiver plugged in when the computer's turned off? Could the constant power supplied by the usb ports damage the nanoreceiver in any way?

Good evening, my name is Johannes and I´m from Germany. Later today I wanted to play through one of my long forgotten games of my steam library. I wanted to play "Ori and the Blind Forest", but as I turned it on my Selectionsign always went from top to bottom 24/7. I tried to turn off the controller through Steam or the Game itself but that did not work. Then I uninstalled the mouse driver and reinstalled them, and that didn´t work either. I wrote to the Roccat Support but they were kinda like:" Bro I have no idea, maybe buy a new one ¯\_(ツ)_/¯." I had a similar problem in Battlefield 4 which the mouse was partly developed for. I had to pull out the mouse twice before Battlefield would let me use the mouse again. And yes I tried that with Ori the Blind Forest and that didn´t work, too. If anyone has an idea how to fix this an answer would be very nice, have a nice day Johannes PS: Sorry for my fucked up english grammar.

I have Windows 10 running on my PC, and an XBox One controller plugged in through USB. The drivers weren't detected so I had to manually download them, and I installed them into XBox Peripherals in Device Manager. The only problem is that the mapping is completely messed up. Right trigger and left analog stick are both on the Z Axis, the default is in the middle of the axis and if I hold down right trigger it goes down to 0, and when I try to move the left analog stick left to right, it has a complete spasm. When I hold down left trigger, the left analog stick moves to the right a tiny bit. These are all tested in joy.cpl, and clicking "Reset to default" didn't fix anything. Maybe I need to install new drivers, but I have tried about 12 different ones and they all have the same problem. I am running Windows 10 latest update.

I found a mirrors edge catalyst xbone controller, however I can't seem to get it to work though. It doesn't detect any drivers when I plug it in and it doesn't work with any of the drivers I've downloaded from Microsoft. I'm running win 7 64b. Anyone else have this controller and have been able to get it to work?

I would like to share a video of my DIY controller. It is meant to be used in conjunction with a mouse for gaming. At the moment, keys are assigned by JoyToKey, although I was looking into trying Xpadder to emulate an Xbox controller. This was my first attempt at making something like this and recording a video to discuss it so please don't be too harsh. I know the audio is crap and the controller could use work. This was mostly meant to be a prove of concept that gaming with a mouse and gamepad can be an enjoyable experience. Built using a Teensy LC, generic Arduino joystick, 7 buttons, and one hat stick.

So I was browsing on gaming peripherals to buy, and I noticed gamepads. I was wondering what are those for? I've looked on other sites and they say you can do anything you want with it since they are just macros, but what type of games do they work best for? I mainly play FPS games, like CSGO, COD, and Battlefield, so I was wondering is it worth it for that? All the keys seem closer together which is nice. If someone could help, thanks. Also, if it is worth buying one, what should I get? I have an all Logitech setup so I want to keep the brand consistency.

Is there any way to use a Xbox 360 controler on the windows 10 version of minecraft?

Im having a get together soon and the group of us decided Gang Beasts would be a good, fun game to play because it supports 8 players. Im having some issues understanding how to get to eight players with the Xbox 360 controllers. Will 2 wireless dongles work? or what about making 4 wireless controllers to wired using an adapter cable(if so please link me)? We can also use PS3 Controllers- Can we mix the two types of controllers, making each one individual out of the eight? Sorry for the mother-load of questions, I've searched up and down but could barely find anything. Thanks

Hello everybody so the quiz persist: Mouse and Keyboard or Gamepad (the only good thing about consoles) What do prefer? Both? For which games? VS Greetings!

I recently purchased a bunch of computer components, all of which were purchased brand new, and I assembled the computer. The computer functions just fine for the most part, and I installed Windows 8.1(from the Dreamspark program), but I'm having two big problems. Firstly, when I plug in a Logitech headset(speaker/microphone jacks, not USB), audio plays through it fine, and the computer recognizes that there is a microphone, but it doesn't pick up any audio through that microphone. If I look under recording devices, I see the microphone listed and available, but the bar on the side that indicates sound doesn't react to any sound. And if I try to use the microphone in a program like Audacity, it picks up no sound. The headset works fine on my laptop(also Windows 8.1), but I don't currently have another microphone to test if that works on the computer. Since it's the microphone jack, I'd imagine it shouldn't need any drivers or anything. Secondly, a Logitech Gamepad f310 doesn't work either. When I plug it in, it plays the "device recognized" sound(sometimes), and I see "USB controller"(or something like that) listed under devices. Depending on whether it's set to DirectInput or XInput, my PC either recognizes absolutely no button presses from the gamepad at all, or recognizes the A/B/X/Y buttons, but nothing else. Since the gamepad is USB, I figure it could be a driver problem this time, does it sound like that might be the problem? If so, where would I find the driver? The PC has no Internet connection, by the way, but I can get the driver on through an external drive if I need to. And if it's relevant, in the past, when I've tried to use certain programs, I've gotten errors such as "xinput1_3.dll is missing from this computer." even though the computer claims it has DirectX11 installed.

So I just got the Logitech G13 Gamepad on a black friday deal because I've always wanted a gamepad/macro pad and I'm having troubles using the Logitech software and the game. Many of the keys that I am binding just don't do anything. For instance, I have Stealth (previously set to Caps Lock on my keyboard) set to G22, but it does literally nothing when I press it or hold it. I even tried binding the button to Caps Lock so that it would coincide directly with the keyboard bindings I have set, but that didn't work either. Another one is the map. I set the quick map menu to the joystick click, but that also literally does nothing. I don't know if Logitech's software is just crap, or if Shadow of Mordor doesn't like macropads, or WHAT. I am also very inexperienced with macros, which is probably causing some kind of stupid problem. Thanks for any help you have to offer! P.S. I REALLY want to find a way so that my joystick allows me to strafe left and right in combat, which is normallly L SHIFT+A/D (Those who play will know what I mean.) so that I can use that to dodge during combat, but idk if that's even possible. I messed around with the multi-keys function thing and just did SHIFT+A+releaseA+releaseSHIFT but the joystick just defaulted to WASD movement in-game.

I just today recieved my Steam Controller and I wrote some feedback which I sent to the official Steam-Hardware-Feedback email adress. I think some if you would be interested, too. I don't know if you can understand what I mean If you haven't used the controller yet so if there are questions please ask me. So here is what I wrote: I use the controller on my 2-monitor setup on my PC (Windows 7) and I want to use it from my bed mostly. I know this is not exactly the intended use but here are my notes on the controller: The positives: Like the layout Nicely manufactured and heavy Feedback on the pads is nice and subtle Setup is easy Nice buttons and triggers Typing is reasonably fast The negatives: Needs a rechargable battery pack of some sort (without buying rechargable AA's on your own) I want to adjust the controller settings for Big Picture Mode, too (not only in-game settings). The controller needs that because controlls are inconsistent across the Steam ecosystem. Why can I only use the right pad as a mouse-cursor in the browser? I want that option in all the other menus, too. Especially scrolling through my games is annoying with the stick. I want the left pad to scroll down like I can in the browser. When I hold my finger down on the pads (in Portal 2 for example) the crosshair vibrates and shifts. This vibrating of the crosshair is too much and options to adjust a threshold on the pads would be nice to make slow movements smoother. It's not obvious how you bring up the keyboard in some situations I want to use the left pad and the stick interchangably (in the Big Picture start menu for example) In Portal 2 have to switch back to the keyboard sometimes. If I adjust the Controller settings and go back to the game, it suddenly uses mouse and keyboard and I have to hit the escape button (and get up from my bed ) to return to the game. This problem ties in to the inconstistency of controlls in the ecosystem I mentioned before. A "Desktop" mode would be nice (even if I have to install an extra driver) where I can bring up the keyboard. After all it's expensive hardware and a bit of extra functionality would be nice. An option to turn off the controller without the Big Picture Mode menu is missing (as far as I can tell) I have some Issues with the BP-mode, too. Especially the browser integration: I can't zoom out enough in the browser. If there is a confirmation window that stays in the middle of the screen (e.g. age confirmation) I can't close it because I am zoomed in too far. Dual monitor setups don't work well because BP-mode does only use one monitor as far as I can tell. In the Browser I can navigate the cursor to my second monitor but only mouse movement and mouseclicks work. I know you are supposed to use the controller in BP mode but then it should stretch over all monitors. I would like to be able to use other browsers. In conclusion I love the hardware but the software makes it hard for me to use. I would use it a lot if it just worked without me needing to change to the keyboard and if the controlls were the same across all of Big Picture mode. Also the Browser needs some work. I hope someone reads this and I didn't just write this wall of text for nothing I'm exited about the next updates to the controller and Big Picture Mode.

Greetings! I'm looking forward to buy a gamepad, because i will destroy my keyboard if i will attempt once again to play the freaking platformers What i am looking for is: be wireless possibility to be connected via chord to charge up if possible - dualshock format, however, not a must As far as i red around the web, i didn't quite get, if Xbox One Controller or Dualshcok 4 can be connected wirelessly (via Bluetooth preferably, because making a wireless network is going to be a bit problematic). What i DON'T WANT to have, is some external receivers which are highly suggested on first 2-3 pages of google search. Money is not a big problem, however, would be nice to have it under 100 EUR.

Today my ordered 2nd Xbox 360 controller arrived. But it is of lower quality than my older controller. I ordered the new Controller from Amazon (Germany). It is slightly lighter the start, back and XBox button can be pressed more deep The D-Pad feels a bit different, specially the down button the right seam is not very polished the triggers feel a bit more wobbly The packaging, included batteries, CD and manuals look very real and on the controller Everything mentioned feels just a little bit cheaper. Just the XBox button feels verry cheap compared to the older one. So did I get a fake controller or did Microsoft lower the quality? Anyone else bought a 360 controller recently? I'm most likely to send it back but if every new controller is like that I might buy a used one insted.
