I've had two steering wheels since I started gaming on PC and both were Logitech. I used to have the Driving Force GT and liked it but didn't love it, then I got the G27 and I love it. I've used it for a few years now but it's starting to show its age... The brake pedal on my G27 unit is - after being depressed and then released slowly - sticking at 0-2%. I have dismantled, cleaned and lubricated the pedals as per some guides I found after some Googling but the issue still sticks, unfortunately. I have two solutions in my head - one costing substantially more than the other. A - Some sort of fix, whether software or hardware - not costing too much. B - Buy a new set of pedals, probably leading to a whole new, better, setup - expensive. So first of all, does anyone know what I could do to fix the G27s brake pedal to stop it from sticking? As stated, I've tried cleaning it and lubricating the piston and rheostat but it hasn't helped. I found an option (eventually) in the Logitech software to add a deadzone to the pedals but for some reason it isn't recognised in-game. I have ensured that the profile is set to be used all of the time and I've even checked that the "allow game to change settings" option is not checked. The deadzone is also not applicable to the clutch pedal - only the brake and accelerator; what? Now on to option B. If I replace the pedals, I'd need a 3 pedal set of at least the quality of the G27s, if not better. I've seen these and they rather decent: Thrustmaster T3PA-Pro Pedals. Would they be a good buy and if so - would they work without a Thrustmaster wheel? I'd also need to know how it would work in-game as many games have issues with reading more than one controller at a time. Is there some magical software solution that allows you to bind many controls from different controllers and make it all appear as a single controller - also allowing to filter and alter controls as they pass through? That would be a really helpful bit of software! Continuation of point B: If I were to continue upgrading my wheel setup in the future, would a Thrustmaster wheel be a good choice? What would you guys recommend and what would you suggest I avoid? I like the interchangeable wheel options that are available on the Thrustmaster gear, but I don't want to get it if it's poor quality.

Last year i bought a G27 steering wheel, i initially configured it to its full 900 degree rotation and used it for about 6 months then i started playing some other games and unplugged my wheel for about 3 months. When i plugged it back in around Christmas time it still worked perfectly with all my games. then in the last few weeks i wanted to play racing games again and it just had configured its self back to the windows default and has been impossible be reconfigure because vital options have just disappeared. NOTE I still use windows 7. The sliders and the tick options for reset have just disappeared and i cant get them back searched around and none of these methods have helped please could someone help me figure out what is wrong.

After a recent windows update, it has completely messed up my G27 and rendered it completely useless. I'm in the middle of a league racing season in Project Cars with PRD and I need my wheel to work. Next race is this Saturday. What happened? Wednesday night, I go to start some practice and start the game. For some reason the G27 is not working right and shows up as a driving force GT in the game and it will not calibrate properly. In Logitech profiler, it's also showing up as a DFGT, not a G27. Did some searching and talked to the other guys I race with. Figured out how to fix it by exiting the profiler, uninstalling the G27 drivers from device manager, delete the logitech folders in program files and common files. Then reinstalled the latest Logitech gaming software (v5.10). Restart PC, then plug in wheel and it worked properly again for the race that night. I did not restart my PC since then. I unplugged the wheel for a few days then plugged it back in last night to do more practice. Once again, it's showing as a DFGT and not a G27 and it's messed up in the game again. Tried following the exact same steps I took last time that fixed it, but to no avail. I have tried numerous "fixes", uninstalling, reinstalling the drivers/logitech software and every combination in between, but it simply will not work properly anymore. I can get it to show in profiler as a G27 but the game doesn't recognize it and it will not calibrate at all. If I run windows update, it then shows up again in device manager as G27 but profiler then only sees it as DFGT again and same with the game. I'm pulling my hair out with this. Anyone have any ideas how to fix it??? I don't understand why it's not working like it did before. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

With it's current price $350 on amazon is it still worth it? I found some on eBay for $300. Yet for some reason the price increased. Is it still worth it. A g920 and shifter is $400. I was thinking of getting a thrustmaster with a shifter.

I recently bought a Logitech G27 of Gumtree (Equivalent to Craigslist) and I am pretty positive I was scammed. The wheel itself I found is broken in some sort of unknown way, the guy who sold it to me had claimed he never really touched the thing he just bought it brand new and didn't use it. Upon buying it there was no power supply because he had "Lost it" and so I had bought my own off Amazon, it took a few weeks to arrive. After the power supply had arrived I plugged in and realized the wheel was broken. I started to look up causes for this and people had suggested the Optical Sensor was broken but I had opened the wheel and the Optical Sensor was fine, but I noticed that there was very visible wear on the wheel and this "Brand New" wheel was not very new. I tried to contact him but he is not replying even though he is posting new Ads by the day. I think the scam method used was to sell me the wheel with no power supply so I had to buy a new one and wait a while because none are available in Australia, and so when it arrived and I realised the fact that it was broken the Ad had expired and I couldn't report him. Not very happy right now considering I lost $180 on a wheel that I bought with money I had got for my birthday and I can't sell the wheel because it is broken, nor do I want to scam anyone for it. On the bright side the shifter and pedals work but I guess there is no point now... Just thought I would share my story so people can look out for this and stay safe from scam and not have to lose money like I did. Side note: If you want to buy a broken G27 Wheel, hit me up :L

I recently bought a used Logitech G27 from Gumtree (The equivalent to Craiglist or something like that in America) and I picked it up in quite a hurry and didn't check much and went home. After getting back and doing some stuff I went to check and setup the wheel and I realized, THERES NO POWER SUPPLY! I started looking for logitech g27 power supplies and found some but they are all from america and the shipping costs about the same as the product itself, i checked ebay and amazon and they both either didnt ship to Australia or shipping cost way too much. I also checked local stores but they dont have any AC adapters that have 24v power, If anyone knows where I can find a logitech g27 power supply or anything that will do the job in Australia (Sydney preferably) please tell me! Thanks

Hey guys, When I was back in Norway I had a $10 jankey wheel that I got at a thrift shop (but shit it was 99 cents). With all its faults, it had decent force feedback, and was pretty accurate. Now that I moved to canada for Uni, I don't have it anymore and racing sims just aren't the same. I went on Kijiji.ca (like craigslist) to look for a driving force gt (the setp up from the one I got at the thrift shop), and found one for $40, but the guy hasent responded to the email I sent a week and a half ago, so thats probabaly a dead end. I watched videos on racing wheels, and noticed that many people recommended the g27, so I tried looking for a used one. I came across one for $125, and he responded to a few concerns I had about the force feedback. My question is would it be worth $110? (assuming I can lowball it by $15)

How often do you guys play them and if so did you guys go all out with 21:9 or tripple monitor with a logitech g27? If any of you guys do have a Logitech g27 can you tell me if its worth it?

Are there any cheap alternatives to the g27? I need to have a shifter, clutch, accelerator, brake, and a good turning radius on the wheel. Any Suggestions?

Here we have a G27 Racing wheel for a ridiculous price (in the uk it's £250) Grab while you can. Will hopefully buy it at the end of the month if it's still on sale, as my DFGT has finally died after 5-6 years of abuse. http://www.amazon.es/gp/product/B00CJ5FP1I/

Has anyone gotten a Logitech G27 wheel, pedals, and shifter to work with GTA V on PC yet? I'm thinking about buying the game and I think it would be handy if every time I got in a car I could just reach up and grab my wheel instead of trying to drive with a controller or the keyboard. Thanks for the info!

So bought a PS4 a while a go for a cheap price with the intent of playing Gran Turismo 7 when it comes out. but sources on the internet say that the G27 may not work with it due to the ID chip being different. I know that Thrustmaster gets the PlayStation license for controllers and wheels, but what does that have in store for the PS4? (Never bought GT6 since it was GT5 just made prettier) hopefully it's not all bad news.

Got a G27 for xmas and have a lack of racing/rally games and i'm wondering if DiRT3 still has GFWL incorporated into it? GFWL = Games For Windows Live (GFWL is required for saving in these games)

Does anyone have any recommendations for a G27 Racing wheel stand? ( I am in the UK ). I have 2 candidates so far : Not sure about how much it will wobble with a force feedback wheel on it http://www.amazon.co.uk/Wheel-Stand-Pro-Logitech-Racing/dp/B004AYMCRG/ref=cm_cd_ql_qh_dp_i Looks more stable but is more money (realistic gear stick position is nice ) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/IONRAX-RS1-Racing-Simulator-Cockpit-Logitech-G27-GT5-GT6-PS3-RACING-GAME/171521691581?_trksid=p2047675.c100009.m1982&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D28111%26meid%3D01a7f63c73234ab8901a79b4d4dc603c%26pid%3D100009%26prg%3D11472%26rk%3D6%26rkt%3D10%26mehot%3Dpp%26sd%3D331406336057#shpCntId

I've posted this review on a local PC forum here in New Zealand, so its a simple copy/past. Thanks Logitech G27 review So as you may or may not know, I’ve been after a racing wheel for Assetto Corsa primarily. Many fruitless weeks were spent looking on trademe for one at a reasonable price, but finally I took the plunge and brought one brand new from mighty ape for $319 NZD inc postage. Set up of the wheel/pedals/shifter is pretty straight forward. Everything connects to the underside of the wheel unit, and routes through some grooves in the base of the wheel. One thing I like about the pedal unit is the grip spikes that stop it from moving about on the carpet. The pedals themselves have really good resistance/feel to them which feels intuitive when in use. The wheel itself is absolutely fantastic, wrapped in leather; it feels great in the hands. There is a nice sense of weight when racing across different cars. The paddle shifters are just as nice to use and a real cool part of a racing wheel, quite a satisfying way to change gear. Makes you feel like a racing driver: D. The shifter I’ve only used once in a race, but again it feels solid to use. Using it in the BMW M3 was a good experience. One thing to note about this shifter is that to use reverse, you have to depress the shifter down before moving down and right to select reverse. In sequential shifting (i.e. paddle shift), this is not the case. Another interesting thing I found with this setup was when it came to braking. In real life, I right foot brake, as I drive a manual car. When I was driving the Pagani Zonda R, I found myself left foot braking some of the time, other laps I would be right foot braking as I normally would. But this is a muscle memory issue I will have to learn as I race more and more. Onto software, this is fairly straightforward but requires a little tinkering. After connecting it all, too my PC and powering on. I installed the Logitech gaming software. In here I created a profile for the game(Assetto Corsa), and adjusted settings according to what is recommended on the Assetto Corsa forums, which I might add, have a really helpful and friendly bunch of members willing to help you out with any issues you may have. Additionally, the have sections dedicated to the specific wheel combo you have which has been really useful for me to dial in the wheel. After setting up the Logitech software, there were some settings that I needed to change in-game to make the wheel usable, as in stock configuration the wheel is not nice to use, but this is to be expected. Steering input is direct, with no noticeable lag/delay as far as I can tell; same with shifting with the pedals/gear shifter. Using the paddles on the wheel is great as well. I have several photos of how I have mine set up at my desk, which reminds me, with the clamps on the wheel, there are some spacers attached if you are clamping it to a thinner desk/table. These can be removed as I did, if you have a desk which is slightly thicker, but this will be a non-issue for most as you have quite a bit of space to fit the clamps and then tighten them as necessary. Overall, I am massively impressed with this wheel/pedals/shifter and for the price that I paid; there is no competition for where your money should be spent. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask

Use code UE50LOGITECH in Logitech's own store to get a g27 from £269.99 down to £134.50. Other items in same deal are that G13 keypad thing that's always too expensive and their XBox-looking controllers, probably kbds too but I didn't check those. Not in the deal are mouses and headsets. Credit to HotUKDeals for this tip Happy days... EDIT: people have started saying the code is only for the Ultimate Ears 200vi headset - read the code it starts with "UE" - So who knows...

Has anyone brought this?? Looking at buying it, but i dont have a wheel yet. Hoping to get one soon. I suppose it wont be as fun using a mouse/kb to drive

I've had my Logitech G27 for just over a week now. Today, the clutch pedal started making a weird noise when it passes a certain point while being pressed or released. It's like a pretty loud "crack" or even "tick". Is this a known problem? Does anybody know a solution for this? This issue was certainly not there before. Could it potentially be the weather? It has been a pretty hot day here today (about 28°C), so maybe some of the components started expanding? The pedal still works fine but it's just a pretty disturbing noise, as it sounds kinda bad and i pay attention to it all the time now :D . The other pedals don't seem to have this problem (yet?).

I was looking for a Logitech G27 wheel in a couple of shops, but suddenly it seems that it is available nowhere. When I checked the Logitech website and went to the steering wheel category, it said: no products available in this category. Does anyone have any information on this? Has Logitech completely stopped making these steering wheels or is the next big product waiting to be launched?
