Hello, I just installed G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB, F3-14900CL10D-16GBXL) on my ASRock Extreme3 Gen3 motherboard. When I load XMP 1.3 profile 1 or XMP 1.3 profile 2 in the BIOS, the timing is set to 10-11-10-29. However, on the packaging and website specifications, the timings should be 10-11-10-30. The system boots fine with the default settings. I manually changed the timing to 10-11-10-30 and it works as well (although I haven't done any extensive testing yet). Is what I did correct? Thank you.

According to this article, the red trim can be removed from the trident z ram. However, I haven't seen mention of it in any other articles. http://www.overclockers.com/g-skill-trident-z-16gb-ddr4-3200-c16-memory-review/ Has anyone actually done this? I'm concerned that by removing the trim the two heat spreaders will not be secured other than by the conductive tape. If I can remove the trim safely and store it for RMA purposes I would consider it (I have no red in my build), but I can't determine if it is the final piece that holds on the spreaders or if there is another retention mechanism such as screws. If someone has done this can you post a photo of the ram without the red trim in place? Thanks!

I'm looking to buy a new keyboard and am sitting on the fence between the Cougar 700K ($149) or the G.SKILL KM 780 RGB ($199). Which one is better out of the two?

Hey guys, I want to know what ram modules I should go for next. Specifically what speeds, and does ram speed and timing affect overclocking my CPU a whole lot? I am planning on changing from my Hero VIII board to a Formula VIII, and the ram from G.Skill Trident Z 16GB 3000mhz to a Corsair Dominator Platinum 32GB kit. Just need the speed to choose now. I noticed some of the most famous overclockers out there, such as 8Pack which sells custom systems, use lower mhz ram such as 2666mhz for DDR4 for their extreme builds. Yet for the builds which are skylake based and do not exceed 16gb of ram, they usually go stupid high like 3600+mhz... It's a bit confusing as to why. Thanks.

Hello LTT-Forum, Currently looking for a small upgrade for my rig in the terms of ram. Rocking F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL (G.Skill RipjawsX) atm, and was wondering if BLS2CP4G3D1609DS1S00CEU (Crucial Ballistix Sport) would be able to work in my Z77 Asrock Extreme4 and/or together with the G.Skill ram? Heard people talking about it's fine as long as it's on the QVL-something, but can't seem to find any ram on the sites and models, so was just wondering if I could chuck any 1600 MHZ ram in there and run em in quad? Thanks.

G.Skill has now added some new colors to it's Trident-Z DDR4 memory. Originally, it only comes in a triple color scheme of Silver/Black/Red. Now there more colors to choose from, so it can match with your build. Silver/Black Black/White Silver/White Black/Yellow Black/Orange http://www.techpowerup.com/222257/g-skill-introduces-5-new-color-schemes-to-trident-z-series-ddr4-memory

Hey guys. I was building my first pc and was wondering what ddr4 ram to buy. I'm using an i5 6600 and I want an 8X2 kit. ($75 is my ram budget.) I was thinking of going for either: Cosair Vengeance LPX DDR4-2400 ($69.88) OR G.Skill Ripjaws V Series DDR4-2400 ($66.89) OR Crucial Ballistix Sport DDR4-2400 ($69.69)

Hello Guys , I'm building a new pc and i have a question for you. I want to buy Asus TUF Sabertooth Mark 1 and Intel i5 6600K processor. My quiestion is about the RAM memory because i want low latency high capacity ram memory. I've contacted Asus and they just resend me their link http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/LGA1151/SABERTOOTH_Z170_MARK1/SABERTOOTH_Z170_MARK_1_DRAM_QVL_20160113.pdf about supported RAM memory but i didn't see my choice which is : G.Skill RipJaws V DIMM Kit 16GB, DDR4-3200, CL14-14-14-34 (F4-3200C14D-16GVK) or G.Skill Trident Z DIMM Kit 16GB, DDR4-3200, CL14-14-14-34 (F4-3200C14D-16GTZ) , so i'm asking anyone are the motherboard and this ram compatible and if not give me advice what RAM should i take ? Thank You for the answers

I'm about to attempt my first PC build, and I'm looking at parts online, and I wonder if someone could answer a question for me. I'm looking at g.skill 3200mhz tridentz ddr4 ram and trying to figure out why a 32 gig kit is more than double the price of the 16 gig kit? Some of them are even listed with the same seller offering both kits. Why would you not just get 2 16mhz kits?

Hello! Does the G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2x8) DDR4, 2133: http://www.amazon.com/G-SKILL-Ripjaws-288-Pin-Desktop-F4-2133C15D-16GVR/dp/B0141X52U4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1459799332&sr=8-1&keywords=G.SKILL+Ripjaws+V+Series+16GB Work with the MSI H170A Gaming Pro mobo? http://www.amazon.com/MSI-Motherboard-H170A-GAMING-PRO/dp/B014YN673M/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1459800785&sr=1-1&keywords=msi+h170a I'm going to use the ram with i5 6400. Thanks!

I cannot get my system stable with the default XMP profile that my "G.SKILL Ripjaws 4 Series 64GB (8 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 2800" came with. I am running this in a Rampage V Extreme with a 5960X Processor. Any attempts lead to system instability that requires a cold boot CMOS reset to get out of(Whether or not I am in the OS). Am I missing something here? Any ideas? It runs fine when left on auto, but I would like to have the memory running what it is rated at, or find the issue that is causing this. The system is not overclocked, (besides what I am attempting to do with the XMP profile of course). I ran the extended test with windows memory diagnostics tools and it found no errors aswell.

Hello everyone i'm new to building this is my first build ever but it's my DREAM BUILD. I'll be ordering this in about 1-2 weeks so yeah but i need some help with my motherboard. Case -NZXT noctis 450 black version. System - INTEL Core i5 6600K; 3.5 GHz (3.9 GHz turbo) - ASUS MAXIMUS VIII EXTREME DDR4 SOCKET 1151 INTEL® Z170 ----> got a question about this one though. - G.Skill D416GB 3200-16 Trident Z K2 GSK - ASUS MATRIX-GTX980TI-P-6GD5-GAMING - Corsair Hydro Series H110i GTX - Corsair HX850i Storage - WESTERN DIGITAL 1000GB WD BLACK - SAMSUNG 256GB Fans --> will change the ones on the hydro with 2 of these - 5 x Thermaltake riing red LED 140mm Question; So the question i got with the motherboard is will it fit in the case? i know it's and E-ATX and does normally not fit in the case if you would follow the spec sheet of the Noctis 450, but i've seen linus and his team putting a V formula in their distribution machine and that on is also a E-atx and it fitted fine only the cable managment rubbers where covered but that wouldn't bother me because i really like the motherboard i'm just wondering if i would put the VIII extreme inside the noctis will the pci-e slots on the case line up with the ones on the motherboard and will the screw's fit? Thanks for reading and you may give your opinions on this build if you want

I think I just got the G.SKILL Ripjaws 4 32GB DDR4 2400mhz (F4-2400C15Q-32GRK) as an upgrade from my 16Gb kit. The issue/concern that I have is that on the MSI website for my motherboard, there is no indication that this kit is compatible with my motherboard. Should I worry that it will not be fully supported or not work at all? Thanks in advance. EDIT: nvm I just found it under the OC Memory Support tab on the website lol

Hey guys, So I've been looking into adding an additional 8gb of RAM to my system since I like to run games with a lot of stuff in the background and games like GTAV eat up a fair amount anyways. And with new titles coming out recommending >8GB it would just be nice to have some extra. I currently have this set in my system (G.Skill RipjawsX DDR3 2x4GB @ 2400) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231666 and it's great, but it's 49.99 USD on Newegg, and I'd like to save if possible. I found another set of ram (also by G.Skill, but it just seems to be an older series) but I'm not 100% sure if it's compatible. I used the comparison tables on Newegg : ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Productcompare.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100007611&IsNodeId=1&bop=And&ActiveSearchResult=True&CompareItemList=147|20-231-665^20-231-665%2C20-231-666^20-231-666 ) and they have the same timings, latency and voltage. But I'm a new PC builder and I have no idea if they will be incompatible or why the Ares is $34 and the RipjawsX (what I currently have) is $49. Will it be fine if I get the Ares one? Or should I spend the extra ~$15 to get the same set that I already own and not risk incompatibility? Any feedback or help is very appreciated. Many thanks, GH4

I'm looking for opinions on my dream setup. I'm definitely not building this anytime soon, but I may build something similar in the future. I will use this computer mostly for gaming and entertainment purposes only. I also do some music making and work. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2TCFVn I'm also thinking of including the Samsung SM951 M.2 256GB SSD. Do leave some comments and tell me if anything can be improved. Thank you!

Looking for some pointers, it's been a long time since my last build. I've had UEFI woes, , then I ran into BSODs and I troubleshot it down to the ram speed. New Build: Gigabyte Z170 Gaming 3 R1 i7 6700k Stock G. Skill Ripjaws V 3200MHz 16GB (4X4) running at 2133MHz for stability Timing: 16-18-18-35 When I activate the XMP profile for this ram it puts it into stability mode. This mode still nets me some fantastic W10 BSODs. Can anyone suggest a good place to start regarding timing and MHz, maybe someone has had some success in a similar situation? -N

So I baught a set of ram last month and have now decided to add more ram to the computer, only to find that my original Rams product line has been replaced by something by a similar name, where both are 4gb x2 kits and have the same 2800mhz speed but slightly different timing (15-16-16-35-2NI'm just wondering if I purchase the 2nd ram will they be compatible to combine for a total of 16gb ? Original ram:http://www.gskill.com/en/product/f4-2800c15d-8gvr 2nd (new) ram: http://www.gskill.com/en/product/f4-2800c15d-8gvrb if you guys need any more info let me know

Hello everyone, I built my new PC 2 weeks ago and I have been noticing that after a couple of hours (2+) of usage my RAM is always above 80%, it doesn't always effect my performance but sometimes it forces me into resetting the whole system (lags or freezes) but that rarely happens, and when i restarting my PC everything goes back to normal. PC specs: Intel i5-4460 HyperX 16GB (2x 8GB) 1866 Mhz MSI z97 gaming 5 lga 1150 MSI GTX 970 twin-v EVGA 500B Samsung SSD 850 EVO 120GB 1TB WD Blue Corsair spec-03 Windows 10 note: 1. I know not all these specs have to do with the issue but thought I'd put them anyway. 2. Everything (hardware) is installed correctly and I have gd airflow in the case. 3. RAM is put in slots 2 nd 4. Please give me all the possible causes and solutions for this problem. THANKS ALL.
