Hi everyone, first post here! My name is Erik, and I recently became very interested in the Fractal Design Node 202 (after watching the cool ads on Linus' videos ahah). I'm planning my build helping myself out with videos and such, and it's actually been pretty easy atm. The only thing I can't figure out (and I feel a noob about it) is integrated WiFi on mini ITX boards. Unfortunately, there's no chance that my pc will end up in a place where a wired connection is a possibility, so my only chance for an internet connection on this build is going wifi. The problem is that all the boards I've found have integrated WiFi with antennas, and with that case this poses quite a problem, since, well, there's no room for that. I'm quite out of solutions at the moment, and I don't like the idea of giving up on this build. Any tips? Thanks a lot and sorry if it's in the wrong section.

So I need some help/opinions/facts people! Which should I put in my college build with the Define S from Fractal Design, air cooler or AIO liquid cooler? PCPartPicker Build: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/GJn6RG (currently set up for air cooling) I will get the Define S with a window if I go liquid just to show it off to my nerd friends at college. Also probably gonna get a Corsair AIO. My concerns are noise, leeks and temps. I currently am not thinking about overclocking but down the road it might be a fun adventure. My current case (Corsair Air 540) sounds like a wind tunnel and I want something that can be silent or almost silent. So is air cooled better for silence or is a AIO cooler better? I have read a lot of articles and have found no definite answer on which is quieter, kind of annoying. Also how common are leaks in AIO coolers? I don't feel like destroying the computer I'm supposed to have for all my college years. And if anyone wants to critique my build feel free, I welcome all constructive comments.

Which of these PSU's is more quality? Seasonic ECO 430W or Fractal Integra M 450W Both of PSU is good but Fractal is modular and have more watts, so I can't decide which one is better, popular seasonic or modular Fractal?

Thought I would do a a kind of log/ showoff as a intro post. Not pictured is a Coolermaster 212 Evo and 2x4GB Hyper X ram. Everthing went in a Fractal Define Mini that I added a window to. The drives soon made there Way to the 5.25 bay. After that the 390 got the plast-dip treatment and I decided to push the 4690k a bit. I picked up a Corsair H100i V2 and sqeuezed it in the front of the case. Got the clock dialed in to 4.5 at 1.2V sitting around 58 degrees in Aida64 and 40 running Witcher 3 at Ultra. Also all case fans were upgraded to Fractal Venturis and Noctua NF-F12s on the radiator. And onto yesterday I decided to ditch the side panel window and go full acrylic side panel. Picked up a piece of acrylic and trim to size and tinted it with 5% automotive film. And here"s how it looks today. Thanks for looking.

***read the title*** So, i wanna build myself a juicy htpc sized beast pc... planing on using a 6850k in a node 202... gpu is gtx 1080, ssd 1tb etc... i was wondering if you could tell me a good fan for this cpu and this case in particular. The nzxt does display my ssd while the define s does not. I do like the fact that everything is also put in the back away from sight on the define s. Buuuut the define s has room and expansion for radiators. Does the nzxt have the same ability?

Hey guys, Question is in the title really, The Nano S can fit a GPU of up to 315mm which accommodates fine but the height is what I'm worried about. It is a 2.5 slot design so pretty wide, and with the Nano S, you dont get much room in this department as the power supply is right there next to the motherboard (refer to photo).I can get this Zotac Card pretty cheap ive figured out and would love a response if anyone is clued up! Hi, I'm trying to get the best air flow vs low noise configuration for my Fractal Design R5 case. Currently I have two Fractal Design Dynamic GP14 140mm fans (one as front intake and the other as rear exhaust). CPU cooler is Corsair H100i v2 with radiator mounted at the top. I swapped two Corsair SP120s fans (too noisy) with two Noctua NF-F12s . Noctuas are much quieter but I can still hear pump the pump. I'm planning do the following to reduce noise and provide better positive air pressure inside the case: - remove HDD caddies - replace Corsair H100i v2 with Noctua NH-DH15 I will be running my 6700k and EVGA 1080 GTX slightly overclocked so good airflow will help. That leaves me with two spare Noctua NF-F12s that were used for H100i radiator which brings some questions: Scenario 1: - buy an extra 120mm Noctua NF-F12 and use three of them as front intake - install spare 140mm Fractal Design Dynamic GP14 as bottom intake near PSU (will bring some fresh air to the GPU) - keep stock 140mm Fractal Design Dynamic GP14 as rear exhaust Scenario 2: - install two 120mm Noctua NF-F12s as bottom intake near PSU - buy two 140mm Noctua NF-A14 industrialPPC-2000 and use them as front intake - buy 140mm Noctua NF-A14 industrialPPC-2000 and use it rear exhaust Scenario 3: - replace everything with 140mm Noctua NF-A14 industrialPPC-2000 (least cost effective option) Scenario 4? I've spent some time researching online and most people are suggesting Noctua NF-A14 for intake/exhaust fans while others are little bit against them because the way air flow is directed they need to run a higher speed (more noise) to be able the air to penetrate whole case. I'm little bit confused in 120mm vs 140mm and 2 vs 3 case fans. I want to avoid having top vents open as the noise come out of them and R5 should really silent case anyway. New season, new build, and all that I have been using an Ncase M1 for a little while now, but I have found as ambient temps are rising, its gets too hot when overclocked, so I have actually turned back the overclock on it to stock. Still plenty of power to game on, but where is the fun in not overclocking? Check out the Ncase-build here if you are interested: So I'm doing another build, this time in the Nano S from Fractal. It has a lot more room so I can use regular sized fans, and double 240 rads, for a lot more cooling potential. Either gonna keep the Ncase M1 as is, install another rad into it, or possibly build the entire thing into a watercooled Node 202. The Nano S is gonna get some new stuff, including the ASRock X99 ITX-board, and the new GTX 1080. Planned parts below: Case: Fractal Nano S CPU: ? Mobo: ASRock X99 ITX PSU: ? The Define R3 came out in 2010, R4 in 2012 and R5 in 2014. Do you think they'll continue that trend and will you buy/upgrade to one? I currently have a Define R5, I just wish there were dust filters on the side and top panel, and a slightly bigger front fan intake cutouts like the Corsair 400C, otherwise its perfect. Also the sound foam gets dirty easily and hard to clean, if I rub the dust off the cloth-like material of the sound foams it gets ruined. What about you, are there some points you want Fractal Design to improve upon their Define series? EDIT: Also want to add, I'm not a fan of the whole 'Moduvent' system since when you remove them you get spare plastic bits lying around, a waste of material. -
So after taking a year off from school to save up money for college, I'm finally going. When I leave in the fall I want to have a new computer for new adventures (also there are some problems with my 3 year old laptop namely the charging port is broken and the cable keeps popping out). I've learned that with college, smaller is better. Why not go with m-ITX? I really like both cases to the point I can't pick the one I want. Which do you guys think you would rather use? TL:DR - Going to College in Fall. Picking m-ITX. Fractal Design Core 500 or Silverstone Sugo SG13B-Q?

Hi guys. I have a Fractal Design Define r5 with a window and want a PSU cover. It should be on top of the PSU and shield all my cables and mess in the bottom. Secondly I want custom cables from the GPU to go straight down through a hole into that shield to the PSU. And lastly I would like to mount 2 SSD's on there to show them off so that you can see them through the side panel. What would be the best way to do that? Would you recommend building a little stand for the SSD's like in this mod (First picture http://www.bsmods.com/gallery.html)? What material can i make a cover out of and has anyone a material list with dimensions? Also which tools will I need? I'm pretty confident I can do the painintig part and drilling holes for SSD's but i'm not sure about the metal itself and bigger holes for power cables.. Any tips and materials such as which colour you used would be great and suggestions how I could showcase my SSD's would be awesome!

Hi All I need help I got a I need a new graphics card I have a basic NVidia GeForce 210. I know don't start laughing just yet!!!! I want to get into gaming but am limited for space. I have a Fractal Design Node 605 Case with a Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD5 and AMD FX8350 Black Edition 8 Core Processor and 32 Gb of Corsair Memory Samsung evo 850 SSD. So the rest of the system isn't too bad. I need a card with the power connector on the back no the top as I can’t get the lid on the Media case. Can you suggest some good ones from team red or green? So I bought the case and it comes with 1x 140mm in the front intake and a 1x 120mm fan at the back for exhaust. The attached image is what I'm thinking as a config for the case, I'm either going with Noctua or Be Quiet! fans. I might add in an aftermarket air cooler for my CPU as well, right now im going with stock. I'm a bit clueless with AF or SP fans, so which type of fans would be appropriate? Edit: I have an ASUS H97i Plus as a mobo, if I'm potentially putting in 4 fans, would it be wise to get a fan splitter? or those fancy fan hubs

Hey everyone, So I'm going to be downsizing my rig from ATX to Mini-ITX. My old roommate has a Mini-ITX build and I fell in love with the form factor. The only things I'm keeping from my previous build will be my Corsair AX860i and my MSI GTX 970. I'm looking at the Fractal Design Node 304 and was curious if anyone had this particular PSU/GPU combo in that case and how it fits. The motherboard I'm looking to use will be the GIGABYTE G1 Gaming GA-Z170N-Gaming 5 if that matters. Thanks!

Hello! I am currently running a AMD FX 6300 with the AMDs stock cooler. As you can imagine ; loud and dusty. I am looking to upgrade the cooler on it i am wondering what would would fit inside of a Fractal Design Core 1000 Micro ATX Case. Hello, I've been reading around the internet for information about these Fractal AIOs. I'm considering their K24 for my future build. Why do I look at these compared to say the Corsair H110? I personally like them for their high-end build quality, for their expandability (without going premium like EK's AIO) and that they seem to perform very good. However, what reviewers seem to be unable to agree on is if these are loud or not. Some reviewers come out and say that they are the most silent AIOs out there (or one of the most silent), while others complain that the pump vibrates, is noisy and that the fans click during low RPMs. So thus I'd like to know fro YOU guys have to say about these AIOs. Are they loud? I want to get as silent of a system as possible; Would be a compromise between sound, temps, and cost I guess. -

So I am planning a custom water loop for a PC I might build, and I'm having some issues with the clearance with the PSU, and the bottom radiator. I plan on using the Fractal Design Define S, and on there website it says that you could use bottom mounted radiator if the PSU is shorter than 165mm, and the one I'm reusing is 160mm. The problem is that can it actually fit with the cables actually coming out of the PSU with the radiator, and fan right next to it? The radiator would be an EK 120 26mm, with a Noctua fan on top of it. Also does a high FPI mean that fans need to spin faster or slower? Thanks in advance, and give me some tips! I currently have a Corsair 100R case and a Corsair H100i GTX all-in-one liquid cooler. This Corsair 100R case supports 2x 120mm fans mounted on the top. The Corsair H100i GTX all-in-one liquid cooler has a radiator of 2x 120mm. Altough, the actual width of this cooler is around 250mm. The case only supports 240-245mm in width so the cooler doesn't fit! Stupid.. With a bit of sawing and drilling I got it to work. Looks nasty, but it works. Pump is very loud tho. It's not the fans since I've tested the cooler without fans and makes the same kind of noice. I've paired it with Corsair Link and even set it to Quiet mode, running at 1900RPM. Case is not silent at all. I can hear it trough my headset while playing. It's like a vacuum cleaner kind of noise. Also, a big design flaw and one of the biggest complaints, back side panel clearance is almost non existent. I have 4 drive's and they all have problem with clearance, the SATA data and power cables are pushed against the sidepanel and I can barely fit the sidepanel on. That's kinda why I wanted to upgrade. My question is, Will I be able to fit the Corsair H100i in the front? Or do I need to put it on the top? I kinda do not want to remove those Moduvent's because then it will make noise again? Also a friendly reminder, DO NOT BUY THE CORSAIR 100R CASE. It has more con's than good things.
