I recently built a Ryzen based PC and it's amazing for my needs. I had a theme going on which is the ever famous black and white. I know in theses forums there are a lot of cool people with DIY knowledge that can help me. How should I go on painting my case or plasti dip was it? I want the textured surface of the define C stay, just change the color to white. P.S. I also wanted to know where to go to buy those clean looking white cables which already have combs in them. Thank you for your help!

A PC Case with the Following Requirements.. 1. Windowed Side Panel 2. PSU Cover 3. Front with a Door covering Few optical bays and a 280mm Rad Earlier, I was going to pick the NZXT Phantom or Phantom 410 but It's design isn't quite appealing to me now. I would like a Case with a Design Language of NZXT H440, Sides Panels like a Corsair 760T or Clear Windows would be Fine and a Front Door like on a Define XL/R5 or Thermaltake Urban T81.

I am about to buy cablemod widebeam LED-stripes for my Define S. I was wondering if the case is magnetic, so I could get the magnetic version of the LEDs, or should I go with the foam adhesive version.

Hi all I'm building a new system and thought I'd share it with the community here. This build is going to take a few months to complete as I don't have the $$$ to buy all the components outright but I will update as I build. A few things that I'm looking for in this build are high performance, good cooling and silent operation. I also want it to be somewhat future proof and look awesome while doing it. Project name: FrostFire Components: Fractal Design Define R5 Seagate 1TB HDD (This is not going to be the primary or secondary storage device. It is simply a backup.) LG Blue Ray optical drive Started out by stripping down a new Define R5 case. Was originally going to do a black and white build but decided to go black and red instead. Some modifications will be necessary. As you can see I've painted all the white metal pieces red. It turned out really well. I also installed the HDD and optical drive. Dyed the white fan blades red. I'm actually amazed how well this turned out. They look like they came from the factory red. Very nice! That's it for now.... will update as my components come in and are installed. Thanks for dropping by!!

Hello, building my first rig, I bought a Fractal design define S and a corsair RM750x PSU. The case has excellent noise dampening, including anti-vibration foam mounts for the PSU that also double as an insulator for electric current. With the PSU being grounded by the plug, should I additionally ground the case on the PSU or is it OK to leave it as it is? thank you

Hi everyone! The MxdOut team will be constructing an office build, with different builds to fit the different requirements of each individual within the office. For example, our graphics designer would need a PC compatible with many different designing programs, would need a screen with the best resolution, would need a large drive with a large memory, a fast processor, etc. We would like to custom wrap each PC we builds to match the personality of whomever the build is for. The idea is that we will be able to show people how to make super cool looking PC’s, as well as showing them the components needed to create certain kinds of PC’s to match whatever criteria they need to meet. We want to show cable management inside and outside with the monitors and speakers all connected so that people can get a better understanding of how things will look when they’re finished. We want to show that custom computers can be easy and comfortable to make, and we want to allow others to see the right ways to set up their office, desk space, etc. on a bigger scale. For this build we will have a white case with pink insides for our webdesigner - hence the name, 'The Pink Chill'! <Links Removed>

Like the title says which case is more good ? 1.NZXT H500 2.Fractal Design Meshify C or any recommendation? Looking for case with good airflow & great cable management For Mini Itx Motherboard & MSI RTX 2060 gaming z

Hey everyone! Decided to do some modding to my case and was wondering if anyone knew of a shop or somewhere online where I can order tempered glass side panels and frames and such for the Meshify C series cases. I have a Meshify C White but am looking to mod it and customize it a bit and I really like the dark tempered glass side panels that come on the Dark TG version. I've checked the Fractal Design website and around a couple other "parts" retailers but can't find any Meshify C TG panels just R6 TG panels.

So I currently have a pretty decent PC that I bought about 4 years ago? I think, it may be plus-minus 1 year in there. This is it: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/DanielCofour/saved/#view=knJ8Mp But now I'm thinking of doing a tiny bit of an upgrade, and by tiny bit I mean go overkill. Primary goal of upgrade is cpu then gpu, which also means new Mobo and memory. So these would be the parts that I chose: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/DanielCofour/saved/#view=CkP3t6 . (the RTX Ti may be too much of an overkill, I'm considering just going for something more sensible, like 1080 Ti, but I don't know yet, GPU will be a separate purchase anyway, so I'll see when I get there). Direct link here: Edit: been reading a bit more about getting a 280mm setup for the Define R4 and it seems that it would require modding, and in general fitting even a 240mm fan at the top of the case can be a pain, so updated the build with an R6, might as well upgrade the case, what the hell. PCPartPicker Part List Type Item Price CPU Intel - Core i9-9900K 3.6 GHz 8-Core Processor $489.99 @ B&H CPU Cooler Corsair - H115i PRO 55.4 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler $119.99 @ Newegg Motherboard Asus - PRIME Z390-A ATX LGA1151 Motherboard $188.99 @ Amazon Memory Corsair - Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3000 Memory $98.99 @ Amazon Memory Corsair - Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3000 Memory $98.99 @ Amazon Video Card Asus - GeForce RTX 2080 Ti 11 GB ROG Strix Gaming OC Video Card $1344.99 @ Newegg Case Fractal Design - Define R6 USB-C Blackout - TG ATX Mid Tower Case $181.98 @ SuperBiiz Total $2523.92 I checked, and from my limited knowledge of PC building, there shouldn't be any issue with merging these parts into my old PC. I'm still keeping the 720W platinum PSU from that, since I think it can handle the increased wattage as well the Fractal Design Define R4 case, since as far as I can tell, I can fit a liquid cooling solution into it and I've grown attached to that minimalistic swedish beauty(not happening, since liquid cooling can be a bit of a pain in this case apparently). However, I'm not an expert and I could miss some things, so any sort of feedback is appreciated. I'm specifically looking for noise level. I know FD cases are very quiet, so if anyone has the H115i cooler, I would like to know what's your experience with it's noise level. 1. Budget & Location Budget is as high as it needs to be to achieve the aim(see below). Location is Romania, where prices are comparable to US prices. Difference is usually about +2-3% from what I can see. 2. Aim This would double as both a high-end gaming machine, but also a workspace, though leaning towards gaming rig rather than workspace, since I would only use it for work(which currently is web development, but thinking of transitioning towards game development) if I'm working from home. I'm also going black-white combo, little-to-no RGB. Aesthetic feedback that fits this style is also appreciated. 3. Monitors So far I have two 1080p mid-range monitors that I've bought 3 years ago. After the PC upgrade I'm planning on transitioning towards higher resolution. Still haven't decided on 2k - high hertz or 4k version. 4. Peripherals Have them, they're good, don't need to buy anything else. 5. Why are you upgrading? Because I can and I want to. Simple as that. Gaming is still okay on that i5 and 970 Strix, but I have been slowly and steadily moving from max settings when I first got this to lower ones. But working on this is noticeably slower than on a macbook pro, which is just unacceptable for a PC. Running all the tools and programs I need for work is putting a toll on my old beauty. So I would like to do an upgrade that will last me for the next 4+ years, barring any unforeseen issues.

So I'm getting ready to build my first PC. I've chosen almost everything, except a case. I've narrowed it down to a few contenders but I'm not sure which I should go for (I like all of them in their own way). I'd love to get feedback about the user-friendliness of building/cable management in each case. I want something clean and appealing but still have good lighting since all have a glass side panel. Thank you so much in advance for helping me out The Top Contending Cases Are: Fractal Design Meshify C NZXT H500i Phanteks Enthoo EVOLV ATX TG The build they'll be housing can be found here

So what do you think is the Fractal Design Node 804 sufficient for a mid to high end air cooling build? When fitted with high SP , high quality fans should airflow be a problem in this chassis?
-
I have the Fractal Design Node 804 which is a split design case where the PSU and hard disks are separated from the main components. I'm trying to decide where to put my radiator in this build. The case offers countless positions for radiators and fans but I need to keep the top position on PSU side open for my hard disks. Three options presented below I could run the 240mm kraken in intake position on the case front on the PSU side. Or as exhaust on the gpu side case top. Alternatively I could as a last resort remove the trays and mount just one to the PSU floor and put the radiator at top exhaust position on PSU side. Suggestions are appreciated.

Hi, I purchased Define S2 case, however the front panel got broken on shipment, I have contacted Fractal and they said that they will replace it for free. However They stopped the communication with me for 7 days now. Is there any where I can buy a front panel? Also I have noticed that they've released Meshefy S2 as well, is it compatible? Can I buy this front panel instead? Thanks

I'm going for a micro-atx build but I'm unsure as to which case to buy. I'm considering going for the Fractal Design Focus G Mini but there's the Coolermaster Q300L that's 5 quid cheaper and I don't know which'll be better... But I'm also tempted to increase my budget and go for the Fractal Design Meshify C Mini or Define C Mini since these two cases both look really nice and have very good reputations in build quality and airflow. So, I figured I'd add another to the ranks of the PC Master Race. My daughter is turning in the next week, and has enjoyed playing Minecraft on my PC, so I decided to mark the occasion by collecting parts and modding a case for her. After her birthday we'll assemble it together. I figured I'd add a little build log for her machine too, seeing as I finally watercooled my own a little while back and I was getting anxious to start another mini project. I'll provide a link below to the PCpartpicker parts list, though I'll warn you much of it is hand-me-down parts, and it's not designed for earth-shattering performance. Just something for homework / 1080p gaming. I already tore down most of the case, as you can tell... this paint job is going to be a tad bright... OK, its borederline obnoxious. She's going to love it. I also snagged a Razer Blackwidow Ultimate (2013) off Kijiji for super cheap, the font was going to be a bit much for a first grader to read, so I swapped the keycaps for my factory Corsair ones off my K70. I also happened to have an eVGA Torq X10 kicking around that I won off an online giveaway like 4 years ago. It should fit the bill!

Hey LTT! Few months back i build a 6 Core Xeon X5660 build as a challenge build and it turned out to be a really good PC for encoding and recording as a second PC next to my Gaming RIG. As you will see in the pictures coming up and from the title i did a re-build and swapped cases and added some RGB fans i had laying around, i found a really cheap NZXT Phantom case but i wasn't feeling the red case color anymore so i switched to the Fractal Design Define S which is painted white, this Define S is from a previous build and i kinda i forgot that i had the case in storage laying around. Currently the Xeon X5660 is running at 4.4GHz for daily use, before the re-build i pushed the CPU to get top 10 in the Cinebench - R15: Hall Of Fame on HWBOT and got 7th place Direct link to HWBOT Specs: CPU Xeon x5660 6Core 4.4GHz GPU R9 280X PSU Corsair cx650 bronze CASE Fractal Design Define S MOBO Gigabyte x58a-ud3r rev 1.6 RAM OCZ 6GB (3x2) HDD 1x Seagate 1TB Fans Thermaltake riing 12/14mm Extra Vertical Graphics Card Holder Kit from Cooler Master Nothing to special about this build or pictures, just sharing my stuff

I bought the Define R6 case. I like everything about this case, except for the void created when you move the hard drive wall back. I've been informed by someone at Fractal Design that the "PSU Cover Bracket" from the Define S2 "Can technically fit in the R6." Quoted the email from Fractal Design. Fractal Josh, could you help me out if you see this? Anyone else, do you have an S2? Are you using that cover? If anyone has a gray one they aren't using, I would love to get ahold of one! This part should really be included with the R6. I have white cables, so they are VERY visible from certain angles. Any help would be GREAT!

Hello everyone, I have an question. I will get an Fractal Design Define Mini C for my first build, but I'm concerned about the airflow. Here are my fan configuration ideas: ---------- 1: 4x NZXT Aer P Two of them will be used for front intake. Two of them will be used for top exhaust. ////////// 2: 2x Noctua NF-A14 industrialPPC-3000 PWM Option 1: One of them will be used for front intake. One of them will be used for top exhaust. Option 2: Both will be used for front intake. Stock front fan will be used for top exhaust. ---------- Which config has the best airflow? Thanks in advance.

Budget (including currency): 65 000 CZK (2 891,50 USD) Country: Czech republic Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: All the newest games (I do not plan to stream or, edit videos etc., just gaming) Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I do not have a PC so I will be buying everything new. Peripherals not needed. I have to play games on my MacBook Pro (please help). I ideally want to play at 1440p 144Hz refresh rate. I am planning to buy Samsung Odyssey G7 32". Also this will be super overkill build as I understand it as a hobby not that I need the cheapest best build for gaming. I will be doing overclocking on this machine. Just want to play with it, see how much I can do. I am aiming for "as fast as possible" PC. I already thought of my build so I need a conformation and some good advice as well. It is sad that in Czech republic are all the components much much more expensive then in US (but I get it). So the budget is really just there but it is flexible. Also I can wait! I do not need to buy the rig right now. So if I should wait with any of the components, let me know. Here is my dream build: MOBO: MSI MAG X570 Tomahawk WiFi I do not really need WiFi but it is available only with Wifi, I want PCIe 4.gen (graphics card), NVMe 4.gen (system NVMe), NVMe 3.gen (as a cache for HDD), AM4 socket, 4 DIMMs DDR4. I will be doing overclocking. Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 3700x or AMD Ryzen 9 3900x or AMD Ryzen 7 3800XT I am leaning towards 3700x as the performance is not as different as a price between 3700x and the other ones. But I am not sure. Also I do not know if I should wait until 4000 series announcement. Maybe something from 4000 will be better at performance then 3000 series? Graphics card: Nvidia 3070 or 3080 or new unreleased Radeons I have to wait with this one. Until then I will use friends old Radeon graphics. RAM: G.Skill Trident Z Neo DIMM 16 GB DDR4-3600 Kit [F4-3600C16D-16GTZN] I wanted RAM with CL14 but it is not available anywhere so CL16 it is instead. I am just wondering if the Ryzen 3000 series (or 4000) will be able to handle 4 DIMMs of 3600Mhz CL16 memory (total of 32GB)? If not I can always clock it down System NVMe: Seagate FireCuda 520 500GB SSD Cache NVMe: SAMSUNG 970 EVO Plus 500GB HDD: Seagate Ironwolf Pro 4T NAS (already bought) AIO: Fractal Design Celsius+ S36 Prisma need that RGB for faster PC (or to nicely light up my case) Fans: Noctua NF-A14 PWM chromax black swap 4 or 5 of them Case: Fractal Design Meshify S2 TG Black (already bought) PSU: Corsair HX850 or Corsair HX1000i I am not sure what will be enough power The estimate in Czech republic is around 67 000 CZK (2 980,47 USD)
