Hello my fellow gamers. Pondering what to do. After recent fortnite season 4 update the game has been troublesome. some advice told me to update my drivers for the graphics which i did. I ran the game and noticed a triple in fps to almost 60. however at times the graphics would go terrible and make horrid flashes over the screen (this is a link to my fb post about it) https://www.facebook.com/100002453336321/videos/1117748485541714/ later i found that that grapics driver update disabled the dgpu and the game ran on the hd4000 igpu. i later rolled back the driver and the game ran at 20 fps. during this debacle i found the dgpu has 1gig of vram while the igpu has 2. I would love to run at 60fps but cant deal with the flashes makes the game unplayble and then when the dgpu is active no flashes but 20 fps So now the qeustion is what can i do, ram upgrade?

So as the Title spells out for you all this is me going off on a wobbly over Fortnite, This fairly new Battle Royale game made from Epic games. Now I have many things to give off to epic games about this games system etc but firstly brief intro on the game. Fortnite is a Game which has two modes save the world and 'Battle Royale'. I'll be Ranting on the Battle Royale aspect of the game which is a 100 player island survival and who every is last standing get to be lonely on a island that is not destroyed by giant towers, half destroyed buildings and no way to escape a storm which surrounds it. So my issues with this game dominantly comes from two aspects the Building and the Guns. Going off on the guns it removes a high part of Skill from the game as the better the weapon the higher the damage it outputs per shot. This means if your in the end zone with a grey weapon you may as well turn the barrel and end yourself as it ain't gonna be easy. So to me I don't like the aspect that one of the key aspects in winning is getting a higher coloured weapon instead of skill. Upon other things the Weapons have this really odd RNG bullet recognition damage system I assume, Where you can hit someone point blank range and get a measly 8 dmg show up from a shotgun, which is completely absurd due to the fact the guns already have increasing damage based on the colour of said weapon why add in a RNG bullet which is like, "hey 8 dmg you know that your dead now because of that measly 8 dmg" . Anyway other than those areas the gun play is good I do enjoy the gun play when engaging players from time to time. Coming onto the other Rant topic would have to be the building, And no before people say just get better at building it isn't that aspect. I Don't like the building because it leaves players to not plan out their movement as much and just run from point A - B as the bird flies. Which is basically because you can just run and as once you get shot at or hit you just build 4 walls and a ramp to bunker down.... which just to me kills to strategy aspect of the game when solo because how are you meant to plain going against a player doing that if your low on ammo? Like you can't waist shots on him and then he gets the advantage as he can peek you without being too out of cover. Only option is to do the same of fuck off away from the dude. Soo yeah the building is a good concept to the game but at the same time removes some skills that could be used if without it. (I know this would just make is a cartoon Battle Royale without its own spin off). Finally the last thing that just get me soo annoyed In the game and doesn't really affect me would have to be the constant Adding of Content to a basic game mode. Like I know other companies do this for their games but no where near as often as this. Like since Fortnite Battle Royale launched it has had a Chain gun, Crossbow, impulse grenade, boogie bomb, Hunting rifle, Homing Rocket, Hand Cannon, InstaFort and other if I have missed any within a short span. The fact that Fortnite needs to keep bringing out content to have people enjoy it kind of begs the question, Does the players play Fortnite for the base game or for the new gear, Skins, cosmetics and loot that you can acquire via money or via finding in game for the match. Like I'm only basing this off what I know, People who still play PUBG only have packs to get clothing and even then it doesn't control the game and why people play it. yet for me it looks like the skins n all is why people play Fortnite which is fine, if you like wasting money on making a nice looking character that will eventually be abandoned because it is no longer the craze. So to summarize this I would have to say why do people play this game? Is it for the Actual gameplay or for the cosmetics and gear you get? What would make me enjoy this game as the shitty player I am? Well if the Bullet damage was static meaning depending on range it will do said damage in this body area and none of this hey 8 damage at close range bs with the Shotguns, That and well just cleaning up the game give players other play styles than build n hide or build and run. So that's the end of my Fortnite Rant that was fuelled by the rage of getting the damn 8 dmg pump hit markers in yesterdays game.... Please feel free to leave your feedback or toxic hate of my view on the game. As I said it is only my opinion others could agree of disagree on it.

i recently bought a new rx 6600 and when i booted up fortnite i was met with fps that fluctuated between 120-30 fps in the lobby and on the map in perfomance mode. I looked up online if more people had this issue and found that switching to dx12 mode instead of perfomance mode fixed for some people. NOT for me, the fps still fluctuats between 120-30 and does not remain steady. im asking for any tips or advice for how to fix this problem and make my fps more stable in fortnite. (sorry for the bad english, i am not a native speaker)

I occasionally play Fortnite with friends and I noticed since the chapter 3 begun my performance went to hell. I was able to play in 1080p medium-high settings from 80-100 fps but now even when i dropped all settings to low and resolution to 900p i'm getting about 30-70 fps. So if anyone here managed to fix this please help I'll be grateful for any advice.

Hello guys I have an asus tuf fx506hcb with an i5-11400h(6 core) and an rtx 3050 with an 8gb RAM. I have seen other youtubers get around 200+ fps on fortnire with the same or lower specs but I get only around 80-90 fps. I play without any background apps and memory is not an issue as my ram usage is always less than 60%. I use the turbo mode for gaming and with high performance power mode. I am using the discrete GPU only. I have a doubt that my cpu might be causing this as my cpu usage is always on 100% usage.

Hey everyone, I have a slightly strange problem - or maybe even two ... But from the beginning - a few days ago my hard drive broke down, where I keep various data for universities and installations of programs / games that do not require a fast transfer. I don't know if that has anything to do with it, but I thought I'd mention it. The drive is now unconnected as I have two nvme ssds. For about a week, the problem started while playing fortnite (it's not the update's fault, because it was happening before) with completely random freezes of the entire computer (no blue screen, just sudden stop of animation and sound for few seconds) and immediately restart the computer, sometimes only the application crash and information that an error has occurred (no information which). It happens completely by accident - sometimes after 2 minutes from turning on the game, sometimes after 2 hours. The problem only occurs in fortnite, all other games work fine. This is unfortunately not the only problem - perhaps it is related. Another strange phenomenon is the shutdown of the steelseries GG application as soon as I want to open the "moments" tab. The whole app seems to work normally except for this one feature, it's just when I select its tab the app minimizes. In the application settings, you can enable its operation and assign a shortcut to save the replay, but then nothing happens in games. Until recently, none of these issues occurred, and apart from this hard drive failure, there have been no software or hardware changes. I've tried everything - restoring CPU and GPU clocks to factory defaults, reinstalling GPU drivers, reinstalling fortnite, reinstalling epic games, reinstalling steelseries GG, running with root privileges, and many other ideas I found in the depths of the internet - nothing helps. Reinstalling the entire system is rather out of the question, because it's a lot of work (I also use the computer for university purposes) - besides, if the problem returns, I'm not going to reinstall the entire system again. I'm adding the hardware specs here, maybe it will be helpful: - CPU: Intel i5 11400f (power limits off), - GPU: msi 2080ti duke oc, - RAM: g.skill trident with rgb 16GB 3000MHz, - MB: asus rog maximus 12 apex (z490, latest BIOS), - CPU cooler: silentium pc fera 5 argb, - DRIVES: SAMSUNG MZVLB256HAHQ-000H1 256GB and WD Blue SN570 1TB, - PSU: silentium pc supremo fm2 gold 650W, - CASE: krux anta with 5 fans + CPU cooler, - KB: steelseries apex 3, - MOUSE: steelseries rival 110. I don't know what more I could write about it. I am asking for any suggestions on what else I can change, or how to check what the problem is, because I have spent many hours on this and still haven't found any solution. And sorry for my English, I know it's not the best.

Me, being a dumb and interested 14 year old boy decided to try out some fortnite hacks on an alt account. Guess the spoofer didn't work to well because I've been banned on my main account I've had for 4 years. It lets me launch fortnite and run a game for a few minutes but I get kicked with the error message I provided below. Can someone please tell how to fix this or at least guide in me in what type of ban it is? thank you.

Hello! i'm upgradeing my gpu for better perfomance, but i cant choose between amd/nvidia. my goal is to play competitive games at stable fps (180-200fps with 165hz) i have a ryzen 5 3600 cpu which got some overclock. and i have an rx 570 gpu which is not the best nowdays... my question is, i saw a million videos about 3070 and 6750 xt and i dont know what is good for me. Yeah i will have a little bottleneck at 1080p, but i want it to be future proof. At fortnite they say amd is very buggy and have a lot fps drops etc., while at valorant amd is performing better. Do anybody have experience with any of them? (sorry for my english :X)

I wanted to upgrade my PC, and buy a graphics card, I found the RTX 2060 very suitable to me, it is very well-priced, very extreme-performing and supports Real-Time Ray Tracing. But, I was talking with my friend about this graphics card and he told that it is very overkill for 1080p and a 16: Series NVIDIA Graphics Card like the GTX 1660 SUPER will just do the job. Is the RTX 2060 really overkill for 1080p Fortnite Gameplay? I am going to run a 60Hz monitor, bare that in mind. Should I buy an RTX 2060, or should I just buy something less expensive like an GTX 1660 SUPER and save some money?

Im having some performance issues with my pc in fortnite. I have a 2700x cpu and a 2070 with 16gb of ram over clocked to 2700 MHz in game on all low settings i get around 180 - 220 fps witch is more than enough but its annoying i cant run over 240 if i were to buy a 240hz monitor. Similar speced pcs on youtube can run the game at a consistent 250 260 fps With 3600mhz ram. Im aware ram speed is huge with ryzen but should it make that much of a difference?

First of all this is my first post and I don't know if I'm posting this on the right section of the forum, so don't flame me too hard, also second language English. I have since I updated my drivers to Adrenaline 2020 version 20.2.0 or something similar I have been getting instability issues everytime I play Fortnite, sometimes it crashes and says "Video Drivers Error", other times it BSODs with the stop code "Memory Management" or "Reference by Pointer", and most times it shuts of completely out of nothing. I have tried going back to the old drivers, uninstalling and reinstalling the game, updating Windows, tweaking the BIOS and nothing seems to fix the problem, please help. Here is an example of the errors that have been happening:

Hello, i have a little question about gaming. I am playing many different games, and noticed that Fortnite is the only game thats not running smooth for me. I recently updated my GPU aswell, but the problem is still here. For some reason when playing Fortnite, and in a discord or messenger call, then my game runs really bad. Sound keeps like cutting out and constant lag spikes when playing/textures not loading, sometimes takes few minutes before the textures are fully loaded. I noticed that it only happens with Fortnite. Playing call of duty warzone/deathmatch, GTA V, Rainbow six siege OR anything else with no problems at all. So im here asking what could be the problem. I have already tried reinstalling, but it didn't help. I started thinking that it might be lack of ram? Im planning to upgrade to 16gb ram, but im not sure if thats the issue. Thanks in advance! Specs: i3 8350K @ 4ghz, gtx 1660 super, 8gb ram. (also just to mention that i did not remove gpu drivers before upgrading gpu since many people say that if you switch from nvidia to nvidia, then removing drivers is not required. However, this should not cause the issue as Fortnite is more CPU based game.)

So basically i play competitive fortnite and i need the best performance while playing frame wise, internet wise, and input delay wise. I like to stream most of the events but i run into a problem which puts me in a disadvantage. When i don't stream my game feels nice a smooth and responsive as it should. But as soon as i start streaming it feels like my game looks a little more choppy, kinda like my refresh rate went down to 130 instead of 144, and i feel like there is more input delay. Here are my specs AMD Ryzen 5 2600 GTX 1660 (2x8) 16gb gddr4 2400mhz Gigabyte b450m ds3h 120 gb ssd 1tb hdd 500w power supply I have attached pictures of my stream and game settings . not sure if you need me to show you advanced and general settings too but just let me know. Also i don't usually have anything else open besides the game and streamlabs obs. I also turn the preview off by enabling performance mode but just can't find a solution to this. I don't know if i need a rtx card or drop more money on a streaming pc. PLEASE HELP :(((((

Yes... I know fortnite is a dead game but I can't find other games to play for the time being. For some weird reason, my GPU (RTX 2060 SUPER) is not being used to its fullest extent. Only 20-40% is utilized and my CPU is running 60-70% when I open it. Some of the 3D textures appear to be super low resolution. I'm running at about 130 FPS out of 200 with Massive stutters. My main screen is 2560 x 1080. Before this was a problem, I was able to get about 140 FPS all ultra setting including motion blur or a flat 200 fps at all low with no stutters. It's not a problem with the fact that DX10 was discontinued because I was able to play normally whilst they changed it. If you need more detailed information about my pc, please reply. Thanks for the help.
