I am running Fortnite at 1440p, while streaming. I know my GPU is running at it's max for that, but I have an i9-9900k and also 32gb of ram. Is there anything I can do to use the extra power I have to help out my GPU? I get some frame skipping at the begining of almost every match. I also will have vehicles not load in until I am directly on them most the time.

Hi everyone, I recently purchased a new RTX 3070 Asus Dual OC, upgrading from a RTX 2060 ko. After upgrading, my FPS on Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5 barely increased. On every low setting, I am getting 220 average fps, and on medium I am getting 190 average fps at 1080p. Here is my system: ryzen 7 3700x @ 50 - 52 C | 4275Mhz | 40% usage RTX 3070 Asus Dual OC @ 60 - 62 C | 1905Mhz | 70% usage Corsair a500 air cooler msi b450 tomahawk max 32gb (2 x 16) ddr4 3200mhz corsair lpx vengeance ram in dual channel 700 watt 80+ gold EVGA PSU Crucial MX500 1tb SSD Nvidia Driver: 461.09 Released 1/07/21 For the following numbers, I used MSI afterburner to record FPS numbers in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5. ALL LOW SETTINGS: 24-01-2021, 21:45:49 FortniteClient-Win64-Shipping.exe benchmark completed, 111113 frames rendered in 496.532 s Average framerate : 223.7 FPS Minimum framerate : 114.7 FPS Maximum framerate : 286.1 FPS 1% low framerate : 139.2 FPS 0.1% low framerate : 47.9 FPS ALL MEDIUM SETTINGS (also changed view distance to Epic, everything else medium): 24-01-2021, 21:51:18 FortniteClient-Win64-Shipping.exe benchmark completed, 32743 frames rendered in 172.109 s Average framerate : 190.2 FPS Minimum framerate : 88.8 FPS Maximum framerate : 238.8 FPS 1% low framerate : 122.2 FPS 0.1% low framerate : 46.4 FPS These results are very consistent across multiple runs, multiple days, both on DirectX 11 and DirectX 12. I am on the latest Nvidia Drivers, and I used DDU to do a clean install of Nvidia drivers after upgrading from my RTX 2060 ko. I have Wallpaper Engine OFF, and virtualization (in my bios) OFF (it's worse with both of them on). What I've tried I've tried to turn XMP on and off for my RAM, going from 2133mmhz to 3200mmhz, and on 2133mmhz the FPS is really bad (around 200 on low). I've tried turning on and off "prefer maximum performance" in Nvidia Control Panel. I've tried turning on and off "Allow Multithreaded Rendering" in the Fortnite settings. The best performance I've gotten is 220 fps on all low settings with 1) XMP ON 2) prefer maximum performance ON 3) allow multithreaded rendering ON I'm really not sure what the issue is because I see other people getting 400-500fps with these pc parts and settings. I've run Geekbench for testing and here are my results with my RAM set to 3200mhz. I've also run Firestrike time spy and here are my results with my RAM set to 3200mhz. I've also run Unigine Superposition on 1080p Extreme with my RAM set to 3200mhz People with similar systems are scoring 25% higher than me as seen here on Unigine. If you've made it this far, I appreciate you reading this post and trying to help me out. Thank you all

Click the image above to watch the introduction video for Gyro & Flick Stick in Fortnite. With the help of Julian "Jibb" Smart, Fortnite is now the third game to natively support his Flick Stick control scheme (the first two were Boomerang X for Switch & PC and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive for PC). In addition, Jibb Smart worked with Epic Games to retool the implementation of gyro aiming to be more in line with the guidelines for good gyro controls as outlines on Gyro Wiki (written by Jibb Smart). This is available for almost every platform that Fortnite is available on except Xbox One & Xbox Series X|S, namely due to the fact that no Xbox controllers currently include a gyroscope. And while the Switch version did have gyro aiming prior to this update, the implementation has been overhauled to be in line with what Jibb Smart went for with this new approach. Though it should be noted that aim assist is completely disabled when gyro aiming is being used, which differs from how aim assist was handled with the previous gyro implementation on Switch prior to this update. BRING IN FLICK STICK FORTNITE GYRO TIPS Personally speaking, this is huge for not only Gyro Aiming & Flick Stick adoption in games, but also accessibility options as a whole. With Fortnite being one of the biggest games in the world, this will likely push other shooters to follow their lead. To use Splatoon as an example, they helped push gyro aiming by itself to the forefront, but they've yet to adopt Flick Stick (despite Splatoon 2 being what inspired Jibb Smart to create the control scheme). With Splatoon 3 coming out this summer, Nintendo now has an opportunity to catch up to Epic. Likewise, Apex Legends is another game that only put in gyro aiming for Switch & not PlayStation (and ended up being less than adequate in its implementation), with Senior Producer Tim Lewinson stating last June that they'd look into both gyro & Flick Stick. That said, this news comes fresh off the heels of Guerrilla Games announcing that they've implemented gyro aiming into Horizon: Forbidden West at launch. So we likely are seeing the beginning of widespread gyro (& flick stick) adoption in games that benefit from them. If you want to read more about Fortnite's Gyro & Flick Stick implementation, a link to the FAQ is in the Sources section below. Hello everyone, I am troubleshooting a problem for my friend. He's recently been experiencing stutters (FPS Drops) when he's playing Fortnite or any other game. His specs are more than enough for what he's playing so hardware doesn't seem to be the issue. I ran anti-virus and found 3 malwares which were then quarantined by the anti-virus. All the junk files (temporary files/software cache) was removed using Ccleaner. All the drivers are up-to-date. All the unnecessary start-up programs are disabled. I am not sure anymore what's causing this issue. Here are his specs: CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 3900 RAM: 32 GB HyperX DDR4-3200 XMP RGB SDRAM (2 x 16GB) Storage: 1 TB WD Black PCIe NVMe TLC M.2 -SSD GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Monitor: Samsung Odyssey G7 32” 240Hz Any help is appreciated Thank You!

Does the fan keep rattling? Or does it stop after like 2 seconds? I was on my pc earlier and i bought a rand new psu. And i heard noise while loading into a fortnite game. Headphones were right beside the case so i thought it was rattling. So i searched FN bus noises and THE BUS ITS SELF is rattling. And was very similar to what i heard. Main question is , if a fan rattles does it continue to do so? Or can it happen , stop after 2 seconds and never happen again? Or was it even propably the game not my psu?

Not sure if I am in the correct place for this (please move/delete if not), I recently got an Asus G513qr, about a month ago from microcenter. Ryzen9 5900HX GEFORCE RTX 3070 300hz display. 240hz external display after first setup and making sure everything was updated I was easily getting 240fps in Fortnite. after a few days I only managed max 120 with drops into the single digits. driver updates fixed this for another few days and now im back to single digit fps drops. checked all settings I can think of. set to use 3070 over radeon and power set to performance in windows and nividia. during game control panel shows 20-30% cpu usage, nearly maxed iGPU (Radeon) and the 3070 at practically 0% aside from random spikes. am I missing something or is there an issue with this unit? have been out of the computer scene since 2010. what programs should I get to check deeper into my issue? https://opendata.blender.org/benchmarks/64fd7ffd-a1c1-4403-aca3-bbe24835ed92/ UserBenchmarks: Game 117%, Desk 97%, Work 121% CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX - 91.5% GPU: Nvidia RTX 3070 (Laptop) - 128.9% SSD: HFM001TD3JX013N 1TB - 267.7% RAM: Micron 4ATF1G64HZ-3G2E2 2x8GB - 62.3% MBD: Asus ROG Strix G513QR_G513QR

Hi guys, hope you're all doing well. Recently I encountered an issue with my ryzen 5600x build where my pc would just black screen and restart when starting certain games such as Fortnite, Apex and Rust. After some searching around and troubleshooting I've found the solution for this problem and fixed my build. A lot of people thought it was a psu issue causing the pc to restart, this is probably not the case for you, it's no coincidence that only certain games would cause everyone's pc to restart. Anyways, the solution is do with motherboard bios updates and amd drivers. I have a b550m-k motherboard which I received as a bundle with my 5600x and the bios was very out of date, essentially, this is what was causing my computer crash and restart. I probably didn't explain much in this post so if you'd like me to help you out with your build please reply. I want to do my part and help others who had this same issue. I was thinking of making a youtube tutorial in the future, but for now this is all I have to offer.

Hey everyone, I was playing Fortnite the other day and this very annoying buzzing started coming from my computer, not too loud, but annoying. it would buzz, then it would start throbbing and continue to make this annoying noise. And it only happens when I open Fortnite. Every other game, it dosen’t make the noise. And the second I close Fortnite, it stops. I took my side panel off and it’s sounds like it’s coming from my cpu cooler. But I did recently get a new GPU in the last week. Anyways, if anyone knows what this is and a fix, that would be awesome, Thanks.

Hi, I built my pc as of last year near the end of 2020, and ever since I finished the building process, I have been having issues with games such as Fortnite and COD Warzone. I am pretty confident this issue relates to my power supply and not overheating because sometimes my computer restarts immediately at launch. I also downloaded an app called Core Temp, and my CPU temperate is staying within the range of 65-70 degrees celsius before it even restarts. Some info you may need to know is that I had a Ryzen 5 5600x Vermeer CPU which was later upgraded to a Ryzen 7 5800x, and we made sure to apply more thermal paste when upgrading. Additionally, I used to have a 1660 super and that was later upgraded to a 3060ti. I also had this ongoing issue with my 1660 super, but not as much as I am having it with my 3060ti. That is the reason I am thinking it is a power supply issue. I also did verify checks for Fortnite, and scan and repair checks for COD, and have also done reinstallations many many times. In some cases, reinstallations works for Fortnite, but no hope for COD. Also, sometimes when I cap my fps high, my pc automatically restarts which also makes me think its a power supply issue. I don't think it is overheating as I said before because in some cases, it restarts immediately during launch. As for Valorant, everything works fine and I am able to play. This has been an issue for such a long time and it is very frustrating, and I am considering replacing the power supply and giving a try on that. But before I do that, I wanted to create a forum and see what others say. Below are my specs: - AMD Ryzen 7 5800x 3.8 Ghz 8-Core Processor - Corsair H115i RGB Platinum 97 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler - ASUS TUF GAMING X570-PRO (WI-FI) ATX AM4 Motherboard - Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3600 CL18 Memory - MSI GeForce RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB VENTUS 2X OC Video Card - Fractal Deisign Meshify S2 ATX Mid Tower Case - NZXT C 850 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply

SPECS: Ryzen 5 3600 RTX 2060 16GB DDR4 3200mhz RAM Every game I play seems to work just fine and run well at 144hz... exept fortnite. idk if this is something to do with optimization but my FPS stutters so much while playing. Task manager shows 60 percent GPU and CPU at tops while the game is running like shit. It gets better during the game but its almost unplayable in lobbies or fights. Ive tried everything. Gsync, overclocking, prioritizing, power mode settings, gaming mode on/off, verifying installation, reinstalling, enabling/disabling XMP, changing the settings.... nothing works.

Okay so I got HWID banned for injecting a skin changer on Fortnite. I paid the consequences, learned my lesson and bought a whole new rig. Never hacked other than that, and won't ever make that mistake over cosmetics haha. sorry I know how the community feels about hackers and I apologize for injecting! That being said, can I use my HWID banned PC as a dedicated streaming pc? I'm just worried that if I connect my new pc to my banned PC whether it be a video capture card connection or through something easier like elgato hd60 that uses usb and hdmi. will doing any of this get my new PC banned? cause again not ever going to hack or inject I learned my lessons and I dont want my new pc banned after spending a couple grand on it! thanks so much, sorry again I'm not considering selling the banned pc as in good conscience I cant sell it to anybody if it isn't fully functional with every game, especially so close to christmas

So i asked my frend for help because my game feels really unsmooth after some time like 1-2hours of playing sometimes even less and he told me to look up what my preformance report was in amd settings and said that it could be cuz of the ms i usually have like 8ms and the game feels good but now i saw that i had 16 and the game felt really heavy.Does anyone know how to reduce the ms?? Btw i get around 200fps but idk why it says that i get 52

This is not big, but I got fortnite on iOS using game streaming. I don’t play fortnite, so this is only a proof of concept. It should work which it will, why wouldn’t it? Here is me running fortnite on iOS with shadow which is a $11 a month Cloud pc subscription that Linus reviewed a once: the funny thing is that it uses the shadow client which is available from the App Store. Apple may (probably not) remove it. This does require Internet connection so technically it’s not running on the device. You could also use GeForce now. But shadow can be used for more than gaming so I think it’s a better value.
