Hey guys, so I have a Ryzen 7 2700x, Zotac GTX 1660 Ti, Gigabyte aorus b450, Ripjaws 16 Gb Ram, Blue 1 TB Storage pc build. The problem is it is getting unheard of terrible frames. 30-80 frames on Valorant, 40-60 on minecraft, 40-70 on 2k20. I also used to have a problem of Windows and my pc crashing. I took my pc to a PC Repair Facility (Canada Computers) and they returned my pc with new ram and no more crashing, though the frames problem still wasn't fixed. The day after I got it back I saw the problem wasn't fixed so I did a benchmark test. The results are attached to the post. Is the problem the CPU as the test suggests or could it be something else, for example my motherboard. Thanks to anyone willing to help!

My brother's pc has been shutting down lately, and I think I know the reasons why it does, but I'm no expert so I wanted to come here to be sure. He's had it since 2017, and hasn't been cleaned until a week ago when I opened it up to try figure out what the issue was with it shutting down on its own. I checked the cpu and saw that the thermal paste was basically completely gone, except for a few tiny specs of it left, so I was thinking maybe the cpu was overheating, and because the aio is quite a cheap one, I wasn't expecting it to perform well with cooling the cpu, especially without some thermal paste. After I finished cleaning it I realized it could possibly the the psu being overloaded. But I'm not sure because this pc doesn't have a gpu, and I'm not sure if a 600w psu can be overloaded with just some cheap computer parts. So if anyone knows what the issue with it could be, any response would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi everyone hope you are all well I have 2 questions: Q1- Can having too many things plugged into your USB slots on your motherboard cause problems ? like for example performance. Q2- the new system I built just shuts off when sometimes I use The Unreal Editor and RPCSX3 , What's going on, ?... The screen shots are below of my configuration. to be totally honest I never got this with my RX480 and i7 CPU,... I tried this so far.... -Fresh Install of windows -fresh install of the graphics drivers -I also made sure I had no viruses or malware Be honest with me folks is the combination of this hardware just a bad idea ????

My Dell Inspiron 5593 has been giving me trouble for quite some time now. My headphones seem to work fine with other devices so there's nothing wrong with them. Also, my laptop does recognize my headphones, but only when you reboot it. Meaning if you accidentally unplug your headphones, you have to restart the laptop. As far as I'm concerned this doesn't seem like a hardware problem. I have reinstalled the realtek hd audio driver both automatically and manually but it didn't help at all. If anyone knows how to fix this, please respond. I'm tired of rebooting my pc every time I need to join my zoom classes. (My laptop specs in attachment if you need) My pc.nfo

Hello, I apologize if the post isn't as formal as it should be, I've been awake now for more than a day, been trying to fix this, already uninstalled, installed drivers, system restored, ran clean boot, safe boot, I am freaking destroyed. Nothing wrong with scans, Nothing wrong with anti-virus, I cannot open my event viewer, it just closes. And if I do get to open it on safe mode, there's so much errors on the event viewer that it there's one for every second, almost all having this Dcom error 1804. No BSOD, No LAGGING, No Sudden RESTARTS, but I cannot run any app, nor any system apps, I can't play games. I have no clue what is happening. Did not install anything new, Nothing changed, it just happened, this is the 2nd time this happened, the first one was month's ago and the same thing happened, and It also cut off my internet because something in the services for internet couldn't run at all, kept closing. In the end I reformatted ssd, reinstalled windows. I don't want to do it again, help. I have so many apps and files.

I recently read somewhere that someone was interested in a broken PS3, it had the yellow light of death, but would only take some of them based on their timing of when the yellow light pops up. They wanted to know how long the green light is displayed when you try to power on before the yellow/red light comes on. What's the difference between the yellow/red light coming on within a second and the yellow/red coming in longer then this?

Hi, I have an old PC that i use with Parsec on occasion when i m on the move and can't bring my gaming rig with me, i use is as a personal could gaming solution. I recently upgraded my GPU from a GTX 980 founders edition to a GTX 1080 Strix and added two drives. After the operation completed, i turned on the system a first time and it worked great, then fully turned it off (not reboot). After that, tried to turn it on a second time and nothing, the system seems to enter in a wired loop, fans continuously spin (not like a bad ram loop) but the lighting on the GPU blinks, power and reset button do nothing. I can get it to post but only by changing the hardware i have in it. For example, if i turn my PC off (everything working fine) with two sticks of ram, it only posts and boots up if i remove one stick of ram. In other words, the system hardware has to change (valid for GPU and RAM) in order for it to post and boot up properly. The wired behavior: If the computer is simply rebooted (in my case Windows 10), the problem does not occur. If the system goes on full stop, a change in the hardware is the only way to get it to post and boot. (PS: all parts except the motherboard are checked and in working conditions) My suspicions : A part of the BIOS is dead and does not work right, when a part is changed or removed, the BIOS is requested to check all the hardware all over again and only when this check is run and detected everything, it has a fresh idea of that's in the system and so can boot up properly. That would mean that the memory on my BIOS is half dead ? Things done: -Bios update (Latest available F8 from 2014) -Bios reset by removing power and the small battery -CPU resettled in the socket -Change RAM -Change GPU -Remove all drives -Reinstall Windows 10 -Visual inspection on the board and cpu/cpu socket: clean-nothing different Is my motherboard just a zombie ? Can i have a second opinion from you guys ? Specs: Motherboard : Gigabyte Z87P-D3 RAM: 2x HyperX 8gb sticks and 1x 2gb Unknown working ram CPU: Intel Core I7 4770k GPU : GTX 980/ GTX 1080 PSU : EVGA 600W (100-W1-0600-K2)

I recently built my PC in January. It has been working fantastic, performing up to standards, until two days ago. I made no adjustments in software or hardware, and the on board audio just doesnt work. Front Panel and Back Panel IO audio jacks are useless. I tried a variety of troubleshooting tips (rolling back drivers, reinstalling drivers, checking if HD audio is enabled in bios, resetting windows multiple times). Im the type of person who gets bothered extremely easily by problems I cannot solve. Does anybody have any ideas? At this point I'm thinking this is a hardware issue that I need to claim warranty on. I got a PS4 as a “gift” from a friend. They did tell me it has a BLOD issue. I’m not even sure if this qualifies as the BLOD but it shows the blue lights and beeps when the power button is pressed. After that, when the power button is pressed again, it just beeps and shows no lights whatsoever. I’m lost. https://streamable.com/x46y67 You can have a look at the above video. Waiting on a response, thank you! 88139570_WhatsAppVideo2021-03-09at8_23_47PM.mp4

Hello everyone. I replaced the keyboard on a laptop with an aftermarket that is backlit. The keyboard works perfectly fine, but there is nowhere to get power for the backlit on the laptop. I'm planning on making a circuit with battery, switch and the keyboard power cable. My questions are: 1) How much power does the keyboard reqire? keyboard amazon link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0895HSCJ5/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_thAdGb6JR0FWR?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&fbclid=IwAR0f0NuWijUDKHmrzTWpsnDZUfkAbxuWlA4JrQxlxR_s1ob4gbs4f_qZMFY 2) What should I connect to what? of course there is positive and negative, also probably ground, but what's the other? backup? *see image* Additionally, let me know if you think there something wrong with the plan, please let me know :D

I have a 144 Hz screen on my laptop (asus tuf a15) and it always says 144 hz on any refresh rate testing website i go to, ex. UFO refresh rate test. A couple of days ago, my laptop randomly crashed and then everything was back to normal as I restarted my laptop. Couple days later, I went to the refresh rate testing websites, because ocd. This time, it showed 141 Hz, fixed. I have a ryzen 7 4800H and a 1650 ti, and the cpu is used for display(it has integrated graphics). So, I redownloaded AMD drivers, and everything was back to normal. I just want to know what could have happened that caused my refresh rate to drop by 3 Hz(doesn't really affect me, but wanna know the technicality behind it). Was it somehow linked to the random crashing? I tried restarting my laptop as well, but only redownloading the drivers was able to fix it. Thanks in advance!

Hello there all, I need help! (in advance, sorry for my typing skills) I don't know what's going on with my computer. I've been experiencing freezes here and there (just had one plugging in a external drive). Everything goes back to normal after the 3-10sec freeze but it's very frustrating. especially considering the build. Also I now keep experiencing my audio ejecting and stop working so I have to unplug the aux cable from the rear io and replug it back in and then a window pops asking where I just plugged it in and I have to confirm to get the audio working again. I don't know what is going on with my computer but it seems that there's maybe a bottleneck or somethings crapping out! I really don't know but it's pissing me off! I work in programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, after effects, premiere pro, cinema 4d, Blender, lightroom. Please help me or let me know if I'm doing something wrong! I'm not sure if this is just for reporting bugs and getting help or if I am allowed to post the fix, and before anyone asks, Yes I did report the bug and the fix to Elgato before typing this. 2 Days ago, I found a bug with the StreamDeck software, I called an Elgato Technician at the time because I was unable to fix it after a couple hours troubleshooting, but neither of us were able to find a cause let alone a solution. So, today, like the curious technician I am, I decided to try and find the issue and fix it myself and, I did, kinda. The issue: After an attempt to gain a new token for the Twitter integration, the software suddenly crashed with the Twitter pop up being blank. The crash type ranged from a simple "not responding" to a full system lock up to a BSOD, what it chose to do was very random. I have however found a solution to the issue. The reason we were not able to diagnose this before is because the title of the pop up was just "StreamDeck" so it was not possible to know which Integration was trying to cause the issue, the only way I know it's the Twitter integration was after the fix and trying to reimplement the Twitter account, which caused another crash. The Solution: By installing an older version of the software onto a SEPERATE DRIVE and not to the default directory, opening it, then closing it after the crash, then installing the latest software to the SAME directory, you are able to somewhat bypass the Twitter blank pop up, it still opens but you are able to close it now. By doing so, you should have access to the StreamDeck software, go into your settings and delete the Twitter account you have connected to it. This does mean that you will not be able to use the Twitter integration but all other APIs should work just fine. Hopefully after my email to Elgato they will fix the issue in a patch, but for now, this should at least get you back up and running with the StreamDeck. I hope this helps someone and not just me, I saw that other people have had a similar crashing issues on Reddit. Update: Turns out this isnt just an issue with Twitter, I cant seem to get anything other than the default programs of the Streamdeck to work. I will try and get this working and update the fix, but for now, at least the defaults work Update 2: The crash seems to just be random, but it has something to do with the 3rd party applications.

Hi! So my Asus ROG Delta gaming headset's USB-C male port had melted the other day while plugged in to my computer through the USB adaptor that it comes with. I tried taking it back to BestBuy where I bought it, but my return period already ended. So then I try calling Asus directly, but was told that they don't do replacements nor fix headsets. So now I'm stuck with trying to get them fixed. Can anyone tell me where I could send them to get fixed? Thanks in advance!

Imagine taking off the standoffs from the case, and then using those to screw in the motherboard, and getting the angle wrong and ending up cross-threading the standoffs so they don't end up perfectly vertical. Oh and using a motorised drill to screw them in instead of a magnetic screwdriver. This was very triggering. TW: Shitty build and a couple of bloody cuts on my knuckle, don't know where they came from. https://imgur.com/a/HTbCXPk EDIT: This is the second PC he's built. He also built one for himself a couple years back. Haven't seen the build issues with that one.

Hey, so my problem is, that at times my processor is at 100% workload. Sometimes even with only background operations running like razer software, wmi prov host, explorer, etc. It started probably a month back (Got my new pc setup for about 7 months), desktop icons won't load, searching for something in the explorer takes long, peripherals don't work propperly, etc. I went through my device-manager and checked the drivers, everything is top (seemed to check for drivers fairly quick, like .5 seconds, dunno if that's normal). I got a bit concerned only today because I couldn't even use firefox or similar to google stuff, use the explorer, etc. Rebooted and went mostly down to normal. Windows is on the newest update, so are (at least what the device-manager tells me) the drivers. Haven't done memtest, antivirus is intact. I will attach my DxDiag for specs and some screenshots of the task manager, if you need anything more specific please feel free to ask. The pictures are from freshly rebooting and simmilar sometimes appear random while pc is in use. My PC is custom, will upgrade my full sys in the next few weeks tho. System specs: (DxDiag for more information) CPU: Ryzen 5 3600X 6-Core 12-CPU 3.8 GHz Base clock (overclocked) RAM: Corsair Vengeance 32 Gig 3000 MHz Mainboard: MSI B450 MMORTAR MAX MS-7B89 BIOS: 2.B0 (type: UEFI) System running Windows 10, PSU: CoolerMaster 600 W EDIT: Did some updates and apparently the software "Medal" was the problem, since I don't run it, I haven't had any problems with the cpu workload, so as it seems Medal had too many requests to the WMI Provider Host DxDiag.txt

Hello, recently there was a power surge/power outage and my after that my laptop stopped working. I googled it and tried some methods where it says that the battery may be a problem or the cables but it didn’t work. Took it to a guy to see it and he said the problem is at the chipset and he needs to take 200$ to fix it. Is it even possible to fix a chipset and if it is, can i do it alone? Btw my laptop is MSI GF63 8RC - the gtx 1050 version.
