Hi I have recently bought a used RTX 2070 super Palit jetstream, when I bought it was working fine with my computer, in the next few days I was forced to unplug the GPU to upgrade the CPU and motherboard, and PSU. when I upgraded the motherboard I noticed that LEDs had little intensity. after the upgrade of the PSU the light was completely powered off and it was strange and when I right-clicked on the desktop.... no Nvidia control panel.... panicked. I tried opening the "device manager" and it's showed up perfectly with no problem on the surface but then I noticed that the fan had stopped working I tried opening GPU-z and the card showed up on the page which I sent. I have 2 ideas. the first one is the bios, but I tried to change it but the nvflash didn't recognize the GPU and the second one is the power issue: I suspect that there is some problem with the power connector with does not give enough energy to the GPU but I don't know how to fix it. I tried to change the PSU, the motherboard, the fans, and operative systems I tried everything. So the only reason why I think there is a problem with the alimentation is because i installed my old gtx 1050 I plugged bad the power connector and the card di showed up in the same way as the 2070s any suggestion? any link anything would be very helpful. thank you so much and sorry for my English but i'm not very good at writing

My monitor is the AOC 24G2W1G4 which supports 144hz. I've had this for almost 6 months. I left my monitor on for some moment then suddenly my screen started to break in half. Somehow, I changed the resolution and refresh rate to bring it back to its normal form. However, whenever I switch back to 144hz it somehow breaks in half. I have no idea how I can run it in 144hz normally. Youtube Video Link

Hi community, I will start working at a laptop service center and my job is to diagnosed and replace broken parts which is easy to do for the most part. But my question is especially for those who work in the industry, what is your like core tips on disassembling a laptop since every laptop is gonna different can you give an advice on the subject and perhaps share your experience with it like the good practice, what you should do and avoid, etc because while i do have 3 years of experience on repairing computer, laptop isn't really my Forte and when I get asked about what I asked on this thread, I had a hard time trying to come up with the answer.

Hey everyone! I just bought this pc, it was assembled when I got it and it was working. Until it was shipped.. The problem is: Vents spin up to 100%, then stay at idle. RGB starts, then cuts off. It gives "no signal". Buut if I wait for a minute it the RGB starts to glow in green and gives blackscreen. The PC works with another GPU seamlessly. I've tried it in another pc, with another psu. I've tried CMOS reset. The only thing I've noticed was this: Please, tell me what can I do or if it can be fixed..

I have a laptop with only 3 usb ports and 1 thunderbolt port. The problem is that I tripped over a cord the other day and now one of the usb ports randomly ejects device, making it unusable. The other thing is that the usb c thunderbolt port doesn't really work for anything besides display output, I've tried multiple hubs and every time the only thing to work is the display out, the usb signal sometimes works for a few seconds and other times doesn't work at all. I looked at the service manual for my laptop and found the usb a port that's acting up is attached to an I/O board and a new I/O board costs only $37. However for the thunderbolt, I can't find how it's attached (I think it might be connected directly to the motherboard). Does anybody know if for a broken usb port, if the whole i/o board would need to be replaced, or if a new usb port could be soldered onto where the broken one used to be? Also does anybody have tips for the thunderbolt issue. (the thunderbolt issue has been happening long before I tripped over a cord only the usb a was effected by that.) If anybody needs to know what model laptop I have it's a alienware 15 r2.

Hello everyone. I am facing a rather unusual issue and would like your knowledge on this. I have a system with the following specifications: Processor: Ryzen 5 3600x Motherboard: Gigabyte Aorus x470 ultra gaming. RAM: Crucial 8gb 2666Mhz* 2 GPU: Gigabyte GTX 1650 PSU: CoolerMaster 450 watt, 80+ bronze certified. SSD: Kingston 240gb HDD: 1TB Western Digital. The Issue: When I am booting the system, it boots up perfectly well and there is no problem there, but after working normally on the system for about half an hour or maybe an hour sometimes suddenly the display goes away and the DRAM LED on the motherboard is turned on, or sometimes the CPU. After this the system is totally frozen and there is no display and the Keyboard and the mouse have no power. The CPU cooler fan and the cabinet fans keep on spinning though. What could this issue be? Please help with your insights.

i ordered the razer viper mini a few months ago and i saw that it had a high lod of 2.4mm. i saw many fixes on youtube but i don’t want to use the tape mod or calibration tool, there was firmware updates that could solve the problem but many people said it fixed it but many also said it didn’t work. is there any way to fix it?

I built my first pc using a B450 Aorus Elite motherboard. The night of the build it was working just fine, I put a usb flash drive into my pc but didnt complete the windows install as it was very late. Next morning I see the aorus logo flashing white on the bottom right end of my motherboard. I try turning on the pc to check if its still working but nothing happens, no fans spin. The diagnosis leds that are supposed to light up when something is wrong with the system (like cpu or vga) are not doing anything, and when I plug a keyboard into any of the usb ports the keyboard doesnt fully light up. Tried shorting the power switch pins with a scewdriver but still no luck. I tested the power supply with a multimeter and everything is delivering the correct voltage. Only thing is that the 24 pin connector is missing a spot for one of the pins on the motherboard, but im pretty certain it was like that before. I assumed it was the motherboards fault, so i got a replacment of the same model. Same white blinking led. My next guess is the power supply, but before i pull the trigger on a new power supply i was wondering if i could be given any insight on the problem. my parts are: -2700x -rx6600xt -2x8gb sticks of cosair vengeance led -aorus b450 elite mobo -corsair rm750x psu -1TB sn550 wd blue m.2 -stock wraith prism cooler -msi mag forge 100M case And if i need to buy a new power supply which ones are good for around £40

Ok so I had an old RX 580 & I fixed it by adding new thermal paste (Used old thermal pad because I have none... Lol) & I also cleaned heatsink of all dist & the rest of card. One of the fans have 2 fins snapped off. After I booted up I had some noise form fans seemingly being loose nothing bad pretty sure 100% my fault (because of 2 snapped off fans now that it comes back to me!). Just need to fix since now I know all my efforts not wasted lol. But this happened a little after I booted up & was using for while. Had a ram issue earlier, had to use 1 stick to boot up then could use both. So could be faulty ram hopefully now. Or could be the gpu. Any thoughts?

Hey Everyone, i am having this issue of ram reserved for hardware. I have 2 sticks of 8gb memory but only able to use only 8gb and 8gb is hardware reserved which is very annoying for my work. Tried everything from internet but the problem is not solved. Checked Both ram sticks individually and both are working fine.

I just installed my new 3070 ti and whenever i open destiny 2, my audio starts crackling on discord and a little bit in the game. It only happens when im tabbed into the game. When the game is closed and when im tabbed out, everything is fine. I tried all the fixes online of turning down the output sample rate and what not. ive tried like 4 different sample rates and nothing has helped. I even reinstalled the whole game. Nothing. Ive tried multiple USB ports and multiple headsets and DAC/AMPS. The headphone, DAC/AMP combo im using is the Schiit Fulla 3 and Sennheiser x Drop PC37x. My processor is the 5600x and my mobo is the ASUS TUF B550M plus Wifi.

Hello, I upgraded mi pc to a Ryzen 7 5800x and Aorus B550 elite, it works really good but the problem I encounter when I was installing all my programs for first time is that first Ryzen master won't install, like the installer doesn't even finish to open and closes, no pop-ups, no error signs, nothing, I've tried some "fixes" and nothing. Also, I couldn't install any torrent downloaders like Utorrent or Bittorrent (Not an issue with antiviruses), same time I don't have the Nvidea control panel installed, and I can't install it, it works well without it, but it's just weird that this programs just won't install. If you have any tips that are not reinstalling windows (that's my last resort) I would really appreciate!!

Hello there. I need your help! My setup looks like this, Blue Yeti plugged in with USB. From the mic I connect my speakers through 3.5mm jack, and the audio works amazing. But when I switch from speakers to headphones, the sound gets distorted and when someone is speaking or singing it barely comes trough. My speakers do have 3.5 jack out, for headphones, but the problem is still present. Have not noticed a change in settings that windows 10 is showing even when switching between outputs, and it just happened when I watched a movie. Have also tried two different headphones, same problem. Re-Installed drivers, tried different USB holes. One of the headphones i brand new the other one is really old. *Disclaimer (first time on this forum and English is not my native language).

Yeah. Have you? I have a cheap shit pair of headphone, of which one side wasn't as loud as the other one. Yesterday, I accidentally tripped on the wire which I somehow left dangling around the desk, and that just pulled the headphone out of the jack and slammed it to the ground. And I just thought I broke them. They were cheap ones and I expected nothing from them. But to my surprise, the low-sounding side started to sound just perfect! And now, both the sides are at the same volumes. An accidental fix!

I have 2 monitors, and I was using DVI on my main monitor and HDMI to VGA on my second monitor. I got an HDMI cable and started using that on my main monitor, but now, only in certain programs, My screen temporarily cuts to black when audio starts. It happened first in chrome, I started a YouTube video and my screen would go black for like 2 to 3 seconds then come back. I tried updating/reinstalling my drivers with no fix. Also this doesn't happen with every program, I switched to Chrome Canary and the issue went away, but it still happens in the Microsoft Store. Does anyone know what I can do?

My Specs: CPU: Ryzen 5 2600x Mobo: AsRock ab350m pro4 Ram: OlOy 2x8 @3000mhz Gpu: (OLD GTX 1050) (NEW R9 390 8gb) PSU: Corsair HX850W Silver Rated SSD: SK Hynix Gold S31 Case: Darkflash DLM 22 Now my problem. Installed the amd gpu and booted it up, didn't delete old drivers or anything. stuck on splash screen. I panicked and promptly tried; clearing CMOS, DP instead of HDMI, resetting EUFI settings (with old gpu, couldn't even enter bios with new) I then deleted all display drivers and downloaded AMD software, I then updated my bios to version 6.00 (which my bios said it was already on but let me update regardless) and then my last resort was to clean the new gpu since it was dusty. none of that worked. I read somewhere that the heatsink could short out a cable if it was being touched, but no cable of such was found and the new gpu was working in the rig that i tested it in. As of now I'm out of ideas and confident that my motherboard doesn't like the new gpu, its outdated anyways so I was planning on upgrading to a B450 I'm out ideas other than that, please help NOTE: My display doesnt even show output if i boot the computer more than once with the new gpu installed. again, it was working in the 2 hours leading up to me putting it in my pc, the only time it shows the splash screen is when its been booted with my gtx 1050 the previous time, after that the monitor recognizes an input and wakes up from sleep but wont output anything. Thanks for reading.

Sooooo ye, i dont really know anything about computers but yesterday something happened to my laptop and I need help. After i turned it on and started up a game, I realised that i dropped from stable 60 fps to unstable 20, which was super weird, and so I asked my friend what to do and he recomended me to instal HWMonitor just to check some things, and we found out that GPU clocks are always at minimal value. Does anyone know what might be causing this and how to fix it?
