Budget (including currency): ~ 2222 € Country: Slovakia Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming (HALO, DOOM, Stellaris, Minecraft[possibly hosting server] ), Occasional machine learning, VMs and coding related stuff Goal: silent + 0RPM machine when idle with a future upgrade path (im looking at you CPU) Note: I think i will have to resell heavily under price in case of upgrade (compared to used market of other countries) thats why i chose overkill PSU and RAM ( feel free to propose valid arguments against it ) Other details: building from scratch, upgrading from ZephyrusG14 2021 RTX3060, going to buy at the end of may, playing on 3440x1440 144Hz, my first ever own build so i feel like overkilling it Parts: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Q3HXDq AMD Ryzen 5 7600X 4.7 GHz 6-Core Processor Noctua NH-D15 chromax.black 82.52 CFM CPU Cooler Asus TUF GAMING X670E-PLUS WIFI ATX AM5 Motherboard Kingston Renegade Silver 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6400 CL32 Memory Samsung 980 Pro 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive Asus TUF GAMING GeForce RTX 4070 Ti 12 GB Video Card Fractal Design Pop Air ATX Mid Tower Case Corsair RM1000e 1000 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply Questions: Do i need some sort of fan hub for 0RPM when idle? I guess i need PMW fans, which noctua fans should i choose? fan config? (thinking of 2 front intakes and 1 top exhaust) Will it fit? no clearance issues? Additional tips regarding this configuration? Not sure about the MOBO, thunderbolt header seems nice but i dont feel like overclocking because i want silent machine, any recommendations?

Budget (including currency): 700-800 USD Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Valorant, GTA V, and some light video editing and maybe streaming in the future Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I am confused between i7-12700K, i5-13600K or Ryzen 7600X. For now i will be using integrated gpu and will add a dedicated gpu once the 4060 is released(gpu budget is excluded). Also it would be nice to have a future proof system if i need to upgrade sometime in 2 years

First build and I used the white spacers when installing the cooler onto an LGA 1200, I since realized that those weren't meant for LGA 1200 and i should have used the black ones. Should I go in and replace the spacers or will it not make much of a difference?

First Build, Roughly 2500$, "Future Proof", Help!
Plantson posted a topic in New Builds and Planning
Budget (including currency): 2720$ (3000-(830-550(msrp)) Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Solidworks and 3d printing, VR and 4k-gaming, 4k movies, tower speakers and subwoofers. Hello, building my first PC. Can spend up to 3000$, and looks like that'll happen because I just spent 830$ (760+tax and shipping) for a scalped ryzen 5900x. That was a lot of money, but I need a new computer, and based on my needs: I can afford a new max budget of 2720$ (3000-(830-550(msrp)). I was trying for weeks to win it on the LTT Verified Actual Gamer Program, but slept on the big day. Looked into buying a gaming/server/maybe-using-gpu-to-mine mini PC on AVADirect.com in order to rip out the GPU and build this tower, but their rtx 3080 prices were not very close to msrp at all. Let me know if you know any other "system integrator" like that who'll let you choose from so many brands and parts in any build. After accepting my position, I decided just to pay the stupid premium on the CPU and borrow a friends GPU until this shortage is over. Hopefully for his sake that's ASAP, but it doesn't look like he'll need it for anything in particular. That brings me here. I have a CPU and I'm borrowing a GPU until markets stabilize. My philosophy is that I want to get the best I can right now and maintain it to last as long as possible. This way I'll be able to run anything I want for years to come without any upgrades. I do care about noise, but airflow/temp and dust-proofing are more important to me for longevity reasons. Thinking about adding sound dampening foam to the case side panels, and possibly a little bit of extra filter material for dust. What do you think about those ideas? I thought about water cooling, but I like the simplicity, price, and longevity of air. I want to avoid RGB and disregard aesthetics- except for the case. I just chose the PCU based on the LTT PCU tier list: A tier: gold black and blue standards, and case compatibility. I'm focusing on solidworks/CAD performance and gaming/VR capability. Would my storage solution be the best option for CAD/gaming? I plan on just putting whatever programs should be quick in the NVME boot drive, and everything else (probably just a large music/movie library) on the HDD. I like the idea of connecting a 1440Hz=<, 4k TV or monitor for gaming (any game, really) and movies, as well as analog tower/sub speakers. The networking speeds are also important to me because I'm a big Rocket League guy, and their servers aren't the best. I can't think of anything else to help inform you of my needs. Let me know if you have any questions! Thanks for reading, and any help! Budget ($1500 US after tax): Country: United States Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: War Thunder, Escape from Tarkov, Squad, DCS Steam Edition, and more. I am currently using the ROG Zephyrus Gu502Du for school and gaming. I am planning on building a PC sometime this summer if graphics cards and CPUs are available at way more reasonable prices. I would love some feedback on my parts list since this is my first time making a PC. My laptop came with a 500GB M.2 SSD and I added a 1T M.2 SSD into the extra slot. I plan on taking out the 1T SSD and using it for this build. It is a Samsung 970 Evo. I want to go for a black and white build. Below are the parts I plan on getting. At the moment im not worrying about the peripherals and do not mind if i go a little over budget, I would just like to play most games at 60fps with a resolution of 1080p while keeping a consistent 144hz refresh, I'm not sure if its possible with my budget but thats the aim PCPartPicker Part List Type Item Price CPU AMD Ryzen 5 3400G 3.7 GHz Quad-Core Processor $288.00 @ Device Deal CPU Cooler Cooler Master Hyper 212 RGB Black Edition 57.3 CFM CPU Cooler $59.00 @ PC Byte Motherboard Gigabyte X570 AORUS ELITE WIFI ATX AM4 Motherboard $309.00 @ PLE Computers Memory Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory $159.00 @ PC Byte Storage Western Digital Blue SN550 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive $139.00 @ Umart Video Card Asus GeForce GTX 1650 SUPER 4 GB TUF GAMING OC Video Card $469.00 @ JW Computers Case Phanteks Eclipse P360A ATX Mid Tower Case $101.94 @ Amazon Australia Power Supply Corsair CXM 550 W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-modular ATX Power Supply $89.00 @ Centre Com Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts Total $1613.94 Generated by PCPartPicker 2021-04-07 19:42 AEST+1000

Budget (including currency): Around $450 or Less. 500 Max. Country: USA Mainland Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Streaming, Multitasking, 6+ Hours of Games, Art Programs (Online ones like DrawPile as well), Google Applications (Multiple open at once). mostly will be used for Streaming Games, Work, and Holding and making a lot of huge Art Image Files, preferably in PNG. Avoiding Cloud Storage. Transferring Files to and from Device quickly. Check Parts List Desc. Other details 16GB RAM is my ideal, but can work with 8GB if it’s sufficient for the minimum and cost effective for later upgrading. 60HZ Refresh Rate minimum, 1080p or Mid-level graphics settings in games. 40 FPS or a little under is minimum. Windows 10 (Pro, Home, doesn’t matter). I will find keyboard later, I already have a Monitor (Samsung M5) and Free blutooth USB connected Mouse. Lag-free display Ps4 + Ps5 Console Games I really want to avoid Offloading of tabs, apps, and programs. I don’t plan on buying all components at once on the same day/week, and will wait over this next year to get the best prices. I’m not worried about having the best of the best, just aiming for manageable. Can add things or change later, since I’m pretty clueless, being this is my first build. Suggestions greatly appreciated, thank you. debating on starting with i3-10100 or i5 10th gen / any cpu that’s at least equivalent to the i3-100 efps https://pcpartpicker.com/user/SmokyOni/saved/W29JnQ

I have a GPU that I had salvaged from my cousin's PC. He says it should still work very well so I will not be buying a new one (at least until the prices drop down). I've linked the model below just for reference. GPU: Asus GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER 6 GB Phoenix OC Video Card

Hey people I am thinking of building my first gaming pc and I would love to get some suggestuon or improvement in my build. I was going to buy a laptop as I thought I would have to frequently move cities but thought investing over a good PC might be more value for the money as I came to a decision to stay at my current place for atleast next 4 years of my college life. I am kind of confused to whether my psu would meet my power requirements and whether I can make a few compromises here and their and save a few money. And I am confused if the case I selected will be a bottleneck considering my AIO and if this build can potentially cause any future issues.Few questions I have are Will I need to buy windows separately and install it on my pc after build? If so then how do I do so? Is this build future proof? Am I blasting my budget on anything that's overkill or might not improve performance much if downgraded? . . . Help is much needed and appreciated.

Right now I'm in the last steps of planning my first pc before building it and one of linuses videos made me question my ssd choice. I think it may be overpowered for my system, so need help understanding if the 980 Pro is overpowered. I'm thinking about my cooler also because I want to overclock the CPU but I don't know if the vetroo V5 will be enough for cooling. Also if you could please suggest the cheapest B550 motherboard with ALC1200 audio, would be helpful. Any suggestions are welcome! Pcpartpicker: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/zYLwwz

Hello so this is the first time i build a mid-end pc to replace my old pc and i need an advice/recommendation about the build especially the nvme and psu. Budget (pure only for What-To-Buy list): IDR 7.500.000 (around USD 523) Country: Indonesia Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: I will be using it for playing apex or other game at 1080p(most of the time and it doesn't have to be the highest settings) also i want to learn unreal engine(just basic stuff for now) and i do some web programming What i have: - Motherboard ASUS B660M PLUS TUF WIFI D4 - GPU RTX 3050 DUAL EXTREME OC 8GB DUAL FAN - Case Montech Air 900 Mesh - HDD 1TB WD Blue 7200RPM - Monitor Samsung Syncmaster S220B310 it have only vga and dvi-d, is using a converter dvi-d male to hdmi male cause damage to my gpu or monitor? What i plan to buy: - Intel i5 12400F [IDR 2.700.000(USD189)] - G.Skill Trident Z Neo (16x2)[IDR1.500.000(USD105)] - 9 pccooler Corona [IDR 900.000(USD 93) / Halo [IDR1.200.000(USD 84)] I'm not sure which one i have to pick on the paper Halo looks like a little bit better and actually cheaper somehow -NVME 512GB WD Blue/Teamgroup T-Create classic/Adata XPG SX6000LNP Lite I'm not sure which one i have to choose, i'm going to install an OS here. They have almost the same price between around [IDR1.500.000(111USD)] with adata being the cheapest among the three -The last is psu and this one is very confusing part for me because i don't know much about PSU. Should i go with 550W or 650W? because there are some people said that with this specs it should go with 650W gold so the components can last long or something along the line just for the safer side incase electricity in the house is bad/sudden blackout. So as for the 550W i think of either ASUS TUF 550B or Cooler Master MWE V2 550W. As for 650W i think of MSI MPG 650GF [IDR1.500.000(111USD)] but i don't think i will go with the msi because i already scratching my budget limit unless i have to run with this (and i saw the recommendation for rtx 3050 is 550W) and i think they have the same protection for the most part( with the cooler master is missing the ocp as for the protection from what i saw) so with that build plan is it okay to choose ASUS TUF as the psu? I saw that it pretty decent in the tier list too or is there any recommendation? as for the price ASUS is [IDR 900.000(USD 93)] mastercooler being cheaper with [IDR 750.000(USD 53)] although i found some ex-bundle asus tuf go for the same price as cooler master. Also if i want to buy a UPS Battery what VA and Wattage should i buy with this specs and i heard APFC won't work with simulated sinewave is it true? because i'm planning to buy APC UPS with simulated sinewave since the pure sinewave is too expensive . Thank you very much

I tried to do some research beforehand and put together a decent build, but I have no idea if any of this is decent quality for what it’s priced at, or if it’s even good in the first place.
