Hey guys, I've posted here before looking for assistance with building my first PC and everyone was so helpful. When I originally posted, however, I didn't have a budget in mind. With this new list, I've sacrificed a ton from my original list. The new list is as follows: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/KqpCyX I'll copy paste the recommended style of posting below, and add some stuff under that. 1. Budget & Location Around $1500; nothing over $1650 ideally. In US dollars, please. 2. Aim MAINLY gaming. Like, the significant majority, it will be for gaming. I will also be using this system to mix/record music, but nothing so heavy as to be needing a powerhouse workstation. The types of games that I want to run seamlessly are titles like Overwatch (not hard to run as my current 5yr old PC runs it fine), The Witcher 3, and ARK: Survival Evolved. My current PC can't run The Witcher 3 or ARK at all unless all settings are the lowest and even then can't reach higher than 20-25 FPS, and they still frequently crash. 3. Monitors I currently have 2 1080p monitors that I can't afford to change at the moment. Eventually though, I want to have at least 1 GSync 1440p monitor for it's buttery smooth gaming performance; but I will always be running at least 2 monitors. 4. Peripherals I do not need to purchase peripherals. 5. Why are you upgrading? My PC is a prebuilt PC bought off of NewEgg about 5-6 years ago. It can run some modern games like Overwatch, but struggles with less optimized games like ARK. It is time to upgrade as my PC will not allow me to get a new GPU; I've tried. Plus, some buttons and USB ports no longer work properly so I'm pretty sure the mobo has some issues. I really need help getting this build down to just about $1500. Above that is okay, just not over $1650, ideally. I really wanted the highest-of-end stuff like a 1080Ti for it's GSync and superior 1440p performance but, with the rise of mining, I just can't afford that card anymore. What I do want, however, is something that will play in 1440p without issues. This I consider "non-negotiable" from the above list: i5-8600K Define R6 At least 16GB of RAM, minimum of 2666mhz 1TB SSD + 1TB HDD (minimum of each; brand is not set in stone but I know I like Samsung for the SSD) Nothing less than a non-blower GTX 1070 Side notes: I DO NOT plan to overclock immediately, nor do I plan to use SLI so I'm unsure of the motherboard. I want a good cheap one, but I also understand too cheap is not a good thing. I want stability and performance at a decent price, ultimately. Along with not overclocking; I'd like to say I won't ever do it, but I feel like I'd appreciate the capability to in case I feel comfortable with doing so in the future. Hence the Noctua cooler which I hear nothing but excellent things about and I find are a good price. I don't care about color or appearance that much, as long as the performance and stability is there. In advance, I want to thank all of you who read this and offer help to me, a first time PC builder. Thank you very much, I look forward to reading your feedback.

Hey everyone, Just wanted to post my son's and my first build. We went with the new Ryzen 5 2400g and a used EVGA GTX 960 2gb. Running an ASUS B350M Prime Mobo, 8gb of GSkills 3200mhz RAM, 128gb Adata NVME M.2 for the boot drive, WD 1tb platter drive for storage, 650 Watt Corsair PSU, a Rex Gear Predator cube case, also threw in a Deep cool RGB 360 kit for some flare. All in all, we are very happy with the build. It's a budget build with quality parts IMO. It boots lighting fast and plays games with respectable FPS.

Buy NVIDIA video cards on Amazon: http://geni.us/BuUICD What made the very first SLI system awesome?

Hi all, Just wanted some opinions on my first build, its around £1800 including the monitor. I know that having an 8700k and a 1060 6GB isn't the best, but I might upgrade the GPU in the future. CPU: Intel Core i7-8700k RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2 x 8GB) 3200mhz GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 6GB MB: Asus Prime Z370-P COOLER: Corsair Hydro H60 Storage: Samsung 850 EVO Series 500GB SSD Monitor: BenQ XL2411 144hz E-Sports Monitor

Hi everyone, I have finally gathered up enough money to build for myself my first ever custom water cooling loop. I have spent too much time going through all the guides and what not and have finalized my part selection, see below I've picked copper as my main cooling material for everything, although i am open to suggestions if i have somehow made a mistake. My biggest issue is the creation of a drain valve, i think i got all the parts i need to make one but please advice if i need to do something else. The loop will be cooling a 7700K, atm i am getting 4.9ghz on a 280mm coolermaster AiO. I got a 650w PSU and an MSI Gaming M3 Mobo plus a Corsair Commander Pro if that helps I picked 280mm as my rad size as i already have all the fans for it and i am not going replace them. I have 4 fans for a push/pull config, they are corsair ML140 Pro's. But, if you think any changes or improves are needed or i missed anything out to make maintaining the loop easier then please shout up. Also tool suggestions would be nice, i got a wide variety but i want any tips on stuff i might need in case i need to buy anything. I hope to get some feeback quickly!

Hey there community I thought it would be a smart idea to ask for help/opinions here before I go on a shopping spree. Following the pinned Thread in this Forum I am just going to work down the five questions 1. Budget & Location: I am trying to not spend more than 2000€ and all parts are going to be purchased in germany 2. Aim: The aim of this build is mainly gaming & rendering @ 1080p. I play a wide variety of games including Overwatch / PUBG / League / Destiny and lot of new Steam games which should all run smoothly on higher+ settings preferably even new games for some time 3. I plan on running 2 Monitors at first both 1080p @ 144Hz but I will be getting a 3rd one sometime arround I allready know which Monitor I am going to get so that one is probably not going to change for now ( https://de.pcpartpicker.com/product/rkphP6/asus-monitor-vg248qe ) 4. Peripherals As allready mentioned I am allready set on which Monitor I want, I also decided that the Keyboard should be one of the Corsair K series, probably a K70 or K95 havent found out yet what exactly the differences between them are. I recently bought a new mice so I wont need that aswell. I do need Windows but I heard I can use my old Win8 product key to activate a new Win10 copy, not sure if this is legitimate but I'll just try first I guess. 5. Why are you upgrading I am upgrading because I just finished my Bachelor degree and previously played on an old laptop which should now get an upgrade due to the free time I have now! So far I have decided on these components, nothing major yet: Case: Phanteks - ECLIPSE P400 TEMPERED GLASS ATX Mid Tower Case Monitor x2: Asus - VG248QE 24.0" 1920x1080 144Hz Monitor SSD: Crucial - MX300 525GB 2.5" Solid State Drive I hope someone of you guys can help a newcomer in the building scene out ~ much love Dinh

I have watched nearly all of the NAS videos on the channel but I am still wondering what I should do to have reliable storage for all my photos that I accumulate as a Photographer. Should I buy a prebuilt nas or should I build my own? I want the data to be safe so i was thinking raid 1 or 6 but i also was curious if you can mix and match hard drive sizes etc. i would think the answer would be no. also if i build what should i pick up? I built my pc and I know how to upgrade it to some extent but I am nervous how different a nas unit would be.

Hellooo, I've bought my first SSD ever and would like to get some advice before installing it. Before I bought it I heard to max out the lifetime of a SSD its important to install it right. I would like to use it for my games only. So my first question is, should I install my OS on the SSD or should I install games only on it? Secondly, is there any software for crucial SSD to enhance the lifetime? I heard Samsung has one at least. And last one, will it be detected after putting it into my computer or do I have to do something in the BIOS or so??? Thank you very much in advance!!!!

Sup guys, I am planning to build my own gaming pc with some media related like OBS, Photshop and Lightroom. I am not familiar with the magic numbers and letters on pc parts so I spend time on researching, what they're for, which is the best, etc. And I came up with this build. Im not an overclocker guy and I just play some not that powerful games like dota2, pubg, cs:go, etc. Im not planning to play some AAA titles games like Gta V, battlefield, tomb raider, etc (remove the gamer in me if you want). I just want to play games at their highest resolution with ease and comfort. And Im trying to budget some parts here so I didnt go for what is the latest. I picked parts that will do the work but still gives a good performance. And I need help if these parts will fit on my chosen case because its a compact thingy so I need to double check those sizes and spacing. Feel free to say or comment anything. I need some opinions here. CPU- i7-7700 *i7-7500 or i7-7600 if compatible* MoBo- Asus Strix H270f CPU Cooler- Nzxt x52 rev2 GPU- Asus GeForce 1060 6GB Ram- Crucial Ballistix sport LT 8gb (1x8gb) DDR4-2666 Storage- Whatever nomal 250gb ssd and 1tb hhd PSU- Corsair RMx 550w 80+ gold fully modular. (Should i go low?) Case- Fractual design Meshify C

My budget is mostly under 900$ and I'm in the USA. I basically just need advice on the RAM, the PSU, Case, and the GPU. This build is for 1080p gaming with a balance of high settings that stay in constant 60fps in all games. I plan on using 1 monitor for this. I'm upgrading to this build because I currently can't play games on my gaming laptop as I hoped, and is not working correctly in the 1 year I've had it. I feel like it's time for me to finally build my own system. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/GM8Z4C Can a Ryzen 5 1600 CPU still run games well on 8GBs? If so, what 3200Mhz 8GB stick is there? I chose to go with the 1060 3gb because the 6gb has gotten a spike in price, so I'm hoping by the time I actually buy the stuff the 6gb version gets cheaper. For the case, does anyone know if it has good space for cable management and easy access when building the system? And lastly, is that a good PSU? Should I change it to bronze and semi-modular to make it cheaper? Thank you!

Hey all, So im currently buying all my parts, week by week. I have my MSI R7 250 here and im currently waiting on my Gigabyte GA-AB350 Gaming mobo and my CoolerMaster MasterBox Lite 5 (I know, crappy airflow, but after watching Luke's videos where he shoved a fucking wardrobe and some boxes into the build and seen virtually NO change in thermals, im not too worried about these components.) but im having some real difficulty deciding on a PSU and the RAM i want to use. I plan on using a Ryzen 5 1600 for this build and before anyone has a go at me for the crappy specs im picking, this build is specifically for streaming my PS4 gameplay with OBS and an Elgato, so while i would like to put more money into other aspects of the build, i need at least some money for the nessacary peripherals such as a mic, mic stand and a webcam (oh, and that elgato i mentioned). Everything else is taken care of but i really dont know what to do with a power supply i just about know the difference between modular and non-modular and all that jazz so if anyone has any useful information on what i should get, please please please inform me because next weeks shopping list is supposed to include the PSU the RAM and maybe a better CPU cooler than the included Wraith with my CPU if thats even necessary, as i wont really be OC'ing this baby..

Hey, after a while from using the Dell Inspiron 3650 with an i7 Quad Core and 2gb AMD card. This Dell PC is serving me well and I will continue to use it when I make more money. I'm ready to start planning to upgrade. I use my machine all day every day from video editing to photo rendering and to moderate gaming such as Minecraft and game engines. Most of my programs include FLStudio, Adobe Creative Suites(AllPrograms, PS, PR, AE). Currently, I'm living in East, Texas USA. Right now I'm going for an AMD build as my programs are dependent are CPU cores. Here is my full list of parts including a case: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/DrBaja/saved/Lcm3FT Budget: $1400 Total: $1280 I purposely bought an expensive power supply to ensure quality and allow additions such as Crossfire and more ram. Opinions much appreciated!

Hello guys, I'm building my first desktop pc and need suggestions. Small form factor, i5 8600k cpu and gtx 1060 6gb gpu are of the choices I've made. The rest are on this part list with a small explanation in why I'm picking each part. https://pcpartpicker.com/user/maragkosd/saved/6wVCyc Before I go on and buy it I'd to know if you think everthing is fine or if you have any suggestions on something I could change on the list. I don't want to go over 1500€ and I want generally strong computer not only on games. I'm open on discussion. Thanks in advance!

Alright, so here is my first ever build. Pretty much what iv decided on. Open to thoughts, opinions, advice etc. Please note the CPU & Motherboard, as well as case and RAM, are pretty much set in stone. The rest is subject to change and i had a few specific questions#1. Should I get an ASUS Geforce GTX STRIX 1050 ti or an ASUS Dual GeForce GTX 1050 ti? Whats the verdict?#2. Is my CPU cooler alright? Do you recommend something better? I'm looking for something RGB But cheap and efficient. hoping to use the saved money here on other components#3. Is my PSU alright? Recommend me a better one if you think it fits, but keep in mind I am planning to upgrade my GPU at some point (to probably a 1070 ti or 1080 ti) as well as buy more ram and possibly a 1tb SATA 3 SSD to replace the 1tb HDDOkay, Here we go with the components : Component Selection Base Promo Shipping Tax Price Where CPU Intel - Core i7-7700K 4.2GHz Quad-Core Processor $287.89 $287.89 Amazon Buy CPU Cooler CRYORIG - H7 Quad Lumi 49.0 CFM CPU Cooler $54.85 $54.85 OutletPC Buy Motherboard MSI - Z270 GAMING M5 ATX LGA1151 Motherboard $189.99 -$40.00 $1.99 $151.98 Newegg Buy $40.00 mail-in rebate Memory G.Skill - Trident Z RGB 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3200 Memory $229.99 FREE $229.99 Newegg Buy Add Additional Memory Storage Samsung - 960 EVO 250GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive $127.89 $127.89 OutletPC Buy Toshiba - P300 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive $39.88 FREE $39.88 Other World Computing Buy Add Additional Storage Video Card Asus - GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB Dual Video Card $229.99 $229.99 Amazon Buy Case Thermaltake - Versa N21 Snow ATX Mid Tower Case $52.89 $52.89 OutletPC Buy Power Supply EVGA - SuperNOVA G3 650W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply $84.99 $4.99 $89.98 Newegg Buy P.S : Ignore Prices, i will not be buying from PC PartPicker and i will be getting much better deals elsewhere so prices of like the GPU and PSU listed above are irrelevant. CPU/MOBO/Case already bought, and much cheap than listen price. Just letting you know incase listed prices affect build judgement as i saw some were way higher Also keep in mind the white/blue/black theme im kinda going for. mainly just white/clearish and blue. so you know lol

Hey guys, So it's my first time building my own PC. Iv had experience repairing PCs and other devices before but building my own for the first time. Basically, its going to be my Gaming PC and I'm gonna be doing some side work with it; Mainly, Adobe Premiere & Photoshop as well as managing/building a few websites.Give me your opinions, all are welcome. Here are my components :[Bought Already] CPU : i7 7700k[Bought Already] Motherboard : MSI Z270 Gaming M5[Undecided] Memory : 16GB(2x8gb) TridentZ RBG DDR4-3200mhz[Undecided] Graphics Card : ASUS Dual GeForce GTX 1050 Ti OR ASUS GeForce GTX 1050 Ti ROG STRIX OC UPDATE: I will run integrated graphics till i am able to get a GTX 1080 or if the GTX 20 series is out by then i will just go for that, so one high end card. [Bought Already] CPU Case/Tower : Thermalake Versa N21 Snow [Undecided, not sure if ill need 550w or 650w yet] PSU : EVGA SuperNova G3 650w 80+ Gold Fully Modular PSU UPDATE : I am confused as to wattage, i am currently aiming for a 650w 80+ gold g3 but im not sure if a bronze 650w or 550w would suffice, want this PSU to be able to keep up when the GPU comes in Storage : Samsung 850 Evo 500gb 2.5inch Sata III SSD(boot/main drive) & 7.2k RPM 1tb HDD(just general storage for old stuff or whatever I'm not using every day etc or backups of files) UPDATE: I might get an m.2 500gb or 240gb with a 1tb hdd for general storage and the m.2 for boot drive and other important/immediately relevant filesCooling : Completely undecided but for CPU i guess this - Cooler Master Hyper 212 LEDConsidering liquid CPU cooling and ill get a couple single fans for the case when i receive it (today) and i will decide how many i need etcMonitor : Sceptre C 32-Inch Screen LED-lit Monitor (C325W-1920R) x1 [Will definitely get a second and possible a third NON curved screen for the center display later on] UPDATE : It was brought to my attention this monitor having 60hz refresh and 1080p would not look very good at 32inch but already bought and reciecing it on the 5th so i will bare with it, but if you could recommend a decently priced high quality (preferabbly curved) monitor i would greatly appreciate. I am deciding on what to buy etc, this is my idea of what I'm going forIf you think something would work better with this or make it more efficient etc please let me know. Also im hoping to upgrade my GPU later, I'm starting off with a 1050 and may buy a 1080 later on, and just use two GPUs working together, the 1050 and 1080 if its possible to like use SLI with two different cards like that. if not 1080 main card and done with that haha Also going to get another set of 16gb ram so ill end up with 32gb later onGaming mouse/keyboard to be bought later on, isnt that serious right now and i might get a wlan card later. Will start with a wired connection I also want the OPTION to overclock. I bought the Z270 and the unlocked 7700k for that purpose, i will not be doing it right away but later on i would like the option to attempt it later. just so you know. Also keep this in mind with the PSU options etc.So, What do you guys think?

Hello. The PC below is what I will use for gaming and a tiny bit of video editing. I am just wondering if I need any other parts as I don’t have anything already (except from things like headphones etc). I am also wondering if it will run gta v and cod ww2. Thanks!

Hello, I have been gaming on my laptop for past couple of years but now it's time for a new gaming rig. For this, here's my planned list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/kfDMBP Please rate/criticize the list and suggest me any improvements (if any) that needs to be done in the existing list. Just a note: I prefer performance over aesthetic look and my budget is flexible. Thanks.
