I am going to build a computer and i have been fiddling with pc part picker. My budget is from 600 to 900 dollars. This is the link to the build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/KLkKkJ My plan is to use the 8600G CPU from AMD. I will be doing lite gaming, like minecraft and roblox. I will also do some AI or ML stuff as well. Please tell me if you think there is any way to cut on budget or any other concerns. Thank you in advance.

I’m not sure if this is the place to ask,but I want to build a pc build that has at least more than 2 Tb of space and can play games with at least more than 40 fps. Also I don’t play large games like cyberpunk 2077 or csgo but I want a pc that can like play any game like youtubers (for exemple markiplier has a pc that can withstand multiple types of games with good quality) and finally longevity. Budget : 1500$ (15000 mad) but less is preferred Country: Morocco Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: everything Other details : I’m not really sure because all the computers I have ever used were only laptops, but primarily I need a pc that can be upgraded that has lots of storage

Budget (including currency): R25 000 (+- $1300USD) Country: South Africa Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Audio-Visual programs: Audio production software suchPro-Tools,reaper and such. Adobe related software like photoshop and after effects. Emulation and Virtual Machine software for various platform usabilities and lastly, Running demanding games with average to above average tier capabilities. My naivety towards the particulars of tech has grown exponentially over the years. Ive I've reached out here and there to try and gather my knowledge on what the various terms of certain components are, what they mean and how it can be relevant to a build I'm planning on very soon. I want to try and gather enough info to gain the confidence in my idea to build it myself! Based on how much I can learn and understand of course. The specifics of this build has a lot of heart behind it.(Sentimental value) I'd love to hear your suggestions on what I can start to look into researching on what to look for in my build. I'd love to hear your thoughts on how I can achieve a build that serves as a entertainment/Media center, gaming capable, Work-horse of a machine! Of course, it goes without saying whether or not my budget would accommodate such a build. Thanks for reading!

I'm a beginner at this, what I know is from the past few days researching and it still feels overwhelming. Will be purchasing the parts in about a week or two. Budget (including currency): 1500€ Country: Portugal Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Diablo 4, CSGO. Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects, Blender, InDesign, Photoshop. Other details: Need WIFI. Not worried about aesthetics. Have 1080p monitor but will upgrade to a 1440p eventually. A friend got me this build already. What's your opinion on it? Thanks!

Budget (including currency): 550 USD Country: US Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: It will be used for light weight to medium gaming and lots of multitasking.

Budget (including currency): $1500-1800 USD Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Majority gaming use, Apex, COD, League of Legends, CS:GO, Valorant, Overwatch, Civ VI, Rainbow 6: Siege, etc. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): So I am uneducated on building PC's I haven't had a computer class since 2010. I do know that their were some big announcements in the area of cpu's at the end of last year and that is the extent of my knowledge. I have done a few pc builders but my biggest concern is longevity of the system before needed to be upgraded, mainly in the cpu. Minimum Resolution: 2K Preferred: 4K General FPS: Around 120 CPU: Intel i5-12400f 6-core Motherboard: ASUS B660 Series - Intel Ram: 16GB DDR4 Dual Channel Storage: 500GB NVMe M.2 SSD (This seems very small, I'm thinking I will need to add a HDD for extra storage. Does this impact anything if I add a HDD? Can it just be used for storage as I have heard its better to "run" off the SSD, no clue what they were trying to say by that.) GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti 8GB Power: 700W ATX 80 Plus Gold Wireless 802.11ac (No clue what this is just saw it on a few builds I was looking at for reference so here it is) Cooling: No idea what I need here but I would prefer liquid (cuz it looks cool) unless that will make upgrading in the future more difficult than its worth. Monitor: something that will at least do 2K preferably 4K. I have build one on Digital Storm and I have included that link as well: https://www.digitalstorm.com/configurator.asp?id=4590102 I don't have an issue buying a custom build from a place like Digital Storm but I just don't know if will be what I need for the long term. I just don't want to get something that is going to struggle with any new games that come out in the next few years.

Hey everyone! i recently started to look into building my own PC for the holidays, as the current PC i have was build by a friend of mine around 2016~ if i believe, im still very new to building PC's, or PC'S in general, so i was wondering if anybody would have any suggestions/changes on this build! my main concern is the motherboard, as it does everything i need it to, but i feel like i could probably find something cheaper that does everything i need it do, i only got the WIFI model as it had a sale going on at the time, but is no longer. the Speccy screenshot is what im currently running, and the Pcpartpicker screenshots are the build i want. thank you in advance for your suggestions and changes! EDIT: added link to Pcpartpicker list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Yf2W6r Budget (including currency): 2000~ CAD Country: Canada Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: gaming, 3D modelling, 3D animation, Audio Workstation Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): part list down below, already have all the peripherals i need, what im upgrading from below.

Budget (including currency): 3000€ Country: Spain Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Playing any game, editing and maybe streaming. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I am currently saving money to buy this computer so there will be many changes until I finally get it. Note that prices in Spain tend to be much higher than in other countries. I will first buy the computer and use it with a 1080p 165Hz monitor I have until I get enough money to buy a better monitor. This is my first time building a PC since the one I have now is a gaming laptop I bought 3 years ago with a i7-8750H and a 1050 ti so this will be a masive upgrade. If you are interested in what pages I will be buying the components from I've made a fully automated Google Sheet that extracts the prices from different pages and shows you the best one. Budget (including currency): $1000 USD (not very relevant in this case) Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: GTA, Sprocket, AutoCAD Mechanical, Inventor, Fusion360 Other details - The parts list is linked below - I don't need any other peripherals - I'm upgrading from a Ryzen 7 2700X, 32gb DDR4 3000 RAM, and a B350 Krait Gaming MBD, and need to buy it ASAP The budget for this pc isn't straightforward, as I recently obtained an i9-12900KS, EVGA 3070, and a 850w Corsair PSU. My questions concern the motherboard and case. I plan to buy the MSI Z690-A, but wonder if it's worth spending $40 more to get a nicer Gigabyte AORUS Elite AX. Which is better, and why? Case-wise, is the 4000d Airflow enough to keep this setup cool?

Budget (including currency): $1100 USD Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: System mainly geared towards 3D modeling and drafting (my degree/ job) but I do also game Programs - AutoCAD Inventor - CAD Mechanical - Solidworks - Fusion 360 Games - GTA - BO3 - Sprocket - Other AAA titles Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Note: Resolution on my best monitor is 144hz at 1080p I don't care about RGB stuff, I'm most concerned about it al running within an acceptable temperature. I already have: GPU: EVGA 3070 PSU: Gigabyte GP-P850GM All Peripherals and Storage, as well as a wifi card Proposed Parts List: CPU: i7-1200kf RAM: DDR5 5600 32 Corsair Vengeance MBD: Asus Prime Z690-P CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15 chromax Case Fan 1: NF-P14s x5 Case Fan 2: NF-P12s x1 Case: Celesta 340f Peripherals: Already have all that I need. Upgrading from: CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700X RAM: DDR4 32GB 3000 PSU: 650W Questions: Is this a sensible build in general? Is this a good build for both CAD and some gaming? If not, what should I change? Is there anything I'm missing? Is it a good idea to upgrade to DDR5 for future proofing? Did I go overboard on the case fans? Is the AZZA Celesta 340f a good case? Is the NH-D15 enough to cool a 12th gen i7? If I have a NZXT H510 Flow, would that be enough cooling paired with the Noctua fans? Are there any apps I should install to monitor my pc, or that are good to have? If anyone has any suggestions, I'm all ears, as this is my first pc build. Budget (including currency): about 650usd Country: Philippines Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Light gaming, eSports and just excel and light editing practice. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I already have a processor which is i3 12100F that I bought for 115usd. A Gigabyte H610 H motherboard because I can't really afford to buy a MSI B660-A for now. And a sapphire rx 570 4gb which my friend sold to me for 120usd. I'm trying to build my first pc. I was hoping to ask for opinions for a good ram (have a reputable brand and relatively cheap). Same for the SSD. I was hoping for 1 m.2 and 1 SATA SSD. Hope anyone can help me.

Please bear with me on my first post to the LTT Forum! Budget (including currency): ~$1200 Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming (Modded Skyrim and Fallout, Anno, maybe some shooters), Streaming (mentioned games and living room concerts), Video Editing (Adobe Premiere), Music Production Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I've been a MacBook Pro person for about a decade as music was really all I've been concerned about. Now that I'm teaching online and want to expand my work possibilities, I want to be able to make videos and stream video games/ private concerts. My MacBook has been okay at this, but it's taking a lot of abuse and I'd prefer to keep my Intel MacBook alive as long as possible. My brother is also looking to upgrade/build a PC in 6 or so months, and some of these parts may be passed on to him if I decide later to upgrade the CPU, to DDR5, to an AIO Cooler, etc. Also a reason why WiFi in the Mobo may be useful. Here's my parts list: GPU: EVGA 2080 Super (already purchased) Not Purchased/ Looking at: Case: Lian Li O11 Air Mini Snow White - I love this case and it seems to be small enough to move between locations if necessary, while also being compatible with ATX size components to avoid a cost premium. Pretty set on this one. CPU: Intel 12600K- Middle ground that I shouldn't need to upgrade soon but can also play around with OC. If Rocket Lake is irresistible, the 12600K may get passed on. CPU Cooler: Either a Scythe Fuma 2 or a Deepcool AK620. I'd like to have minimal noise while maintaining as much headroom as possible for potential OC. (AK620 seems better suited to this) Also may pass this on if I upgrade to an AIO later Motherboard: Asus Prime Z690-P WIFI D4 ATX (WiFi would be nice to have since alot of the places I stay have no way to route ethernet) Might pass this one on if for some reason I find that DDR5 is needed. I'm a beginner and would like to get my feet wet with some overclocking. Nothing crazy, but getting solid and long-lasting all core boosts would be nice. I don't need crazy VRMs, but I also don't want to fry them with a medium OC. I also looked at a Gigabyte Z690 UD AX DDR4 and MSI PRO Z690-A WIFI DDR4, but the reviews I saw pointed to the Asus and GN mentioned that the Asus VRM was a bit better. IDK if getting a non-wifi board and buying a WiFi card would be a better plan, please educate me! Memory: I'm looking at Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro SL 32 GB (2x16) DDR4-3600 CL18 cause it seems fast enough, fairly affordable, and it's white + RGB which matches my case. I would like a touch of RGB aesthetic. Also easily expanded. Storage: 1TB NVME SSD. I'm looking at either a Samsung 970 EVO Plus (which I have in a Thunderbolt enclosure and am amazed with the speed as an external storage device) or a 980 Pro. I don't know how much of a difference the 35 bucks between these two makes or if it's even noticeable. More education needed here! I'm open to other options as well, like a Crucial P5 or such. I will likely put in a couple hard drives in RAID for backup and redundancy at some later point. Power Supply: I was looking at an EVGA Supernova GA. I figured if I got a 650W now, I could upgrade later this year to an 850 when things go on sale during the holidays, and give the 650W to my brother. Will 650W be sufficient? 200W OC CPU+ 300W OC GPU seems to leave some headroom unless a 3080 falls out of the sky and into my lap. Peripherals: I have a keyboard and mouse, I just have no idea what to do with a monitor. I don't really need a very high refresh rate and I do like 4K content. 4K 120Hz with decent color would be optimal, but I can make some concessions. I also don't mind buying used. Gaming at 4K is not too much of a thought unless it's Skyrim and Oblivion, in which case I'm used to console FPS. Please let me know your thoughts! I don't have much experience, but I've been consuming LTT, GN, and Jayz for 4 years so I think I'm not entirely lost. I can take and appreciate any and all constructive criticism! Thanks for taking the time to help out! -GokuGogo

Need some information about my first budget laptop for casual use, movies and light gaming. I have around 550€ and i am between Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15ALC6 r3 5300u and Hp 255 G8 r5 5500u. They are around the same price but isn't supposed the r5 5500u to be better? Happy to hear any and all recommendations. Thank you.

Budget (including currency): $1600-1750 AUD Country: Australia Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Mostly gaming and general media consumption like browsing, movies etc. Would like to play AAA titles, at least for the near future. Other details: Keeping my Samsung Evo 970+ 1TB SSD for now. Aiming for 1080p gaming at 100++ FPS. Hi Guys, I would like to pick your brain and need some help choosing between Team Red or Team Blue. Here in Australia, AMD is more competitively priced, and we can score a decent MOBO for at least $70-100 less than Intel, even though intel's CPU is a bit cheaper on its own. I have watched a ton of reviews/comparisons and TBH there is not much separating the 5600 from the 12400F, apart from the possible forward-facing compatibility scenarios, but I think that I will have to change the mobo for it anyway, down the line, since both DDR4 and 5 are not supported on the same board (same goes with PCI5 but I could be wrong). Do you think it is worth the price difference to go for Intel and what other parts would you replace to hit the sweet spot and stay within budget. I have included my Notion list of parts with certain prices that I could not find through PCPartPicker but have included both. Points to consider: For Intel many suggest to go for a MSI PRO B660M-A which ranges from $219 (Standard) ~ $269 (Wi-FI). In the same price as the baseline Gigabyte B660M I have selected, I can get a pretty solid MSI Mobo with Wi-Fi included. AMD Ryzen 5 5600 is down to $266 only for tonight. Thank You in advance, can't wait to get started. P.S got the case already

Budget (including currency): $2800 USD (total cost of the build+sales tax should preferably be well under this) Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Elden Ring, Witcher 3, Doom Eternal, Blender, Krita, may also use some other various art programs or possibly do some editing. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Currently the only things I have is are a Corsair Obsidian Series 550D case and a Micron 2280 512 gb m.2 SATA ssd with my files from my old laptop. As for peripherals ill need a mouse and keyboard max im willing to spend on them is $80. I'm upgrading from Dell inspiron laptop and this is technically going to be the first actual PC I've ever owned (only had macs and laptops before this). I'm possibly going to be buying some parts late April but will be like buying around the middle of May, with late May-early June being the absolute longest I'm willing to wait. The only """computer""" I've had for two months is my cellphone and i really cant justify waiting longer unless new gpus launch like two weeks into June which im 99% sure wont happen. I'm currently looking to buy a Asus TUF Gaming VG27AQ 27.0" 2560x1440 165 Hz Monitor for $332 but would be fine with lower resolution and refresh rate if it's just not worth it (monitor is included in total cost and must be within budget). I have no idea of the memory I picked out is dual rank or not or if the ssd has dram cache. I assume the ssd does have dram cache since it has a listed cache on pc part picker but I'm quite new to this so I'm not sure if the listed cache of 1024 MB on pcpartpicker is the dram cache mentioned in the latest PC build guide on Linus Tech Tips or if its something else entirely (why does this information have to be so hard to find!!!). I picked an i7 12700k less for the overclocking potential (thus my mobo choice) and more so for the integrated graphics in the case gpu prices shoot back by the time I'm ready to buy. I chose intel over amd mostly because amd will be ending support for their current motherboards when they release their next gen cpus and that's too far off for me to wait. If I'm remembering right the current LGA 1700 intel boards should support 1 or 2 more gens of intel cpus which would be nice for future upgradeability. I picked the MSI MAG B660M MORTAR WIFI DDR4 Micro ATX LGA1700 Motherboard for a few reasons, any motherboard I get MUST have at least one slot that supports 2280 m.2 SATA ssd's so I can use my old drive and this one does. It has m.2 heatsinks, wifi, and a pre-installed I/O shield and all of that save a nice bit of extra hassle. It seems to be a fairly reasonable price but it does have a few downsides. It's only got 4 total headers for fans which isn't a huge problem but it does mean I'll probably have to get some Fan splitter cables or a fan hub (assuming my mobo choice doesn't change reccomendations for these would be appreciated but not necessary). It's a b660 which means no overclocking despite the overclock capable cpu (I MAY downgrade to a 12700f depending on how everything looks concerning gpus when I'm ready to buy). So yeah the ideal Motherboard would be a z690 with at a reasonable cost (around $210) with atleast 4 case Fan headers and 1 cpu fan header plus everything else the Motherboard I picked out already has. Obviously the ideal scenario is unlikely and I'm willing to compromise on everything but the aforementioned need of a sata 2280 m.2 ssd slot. My gpu choice should pretty much be ignored I'll likely end up grabbing anything I can get my hands on in the $600-$900 price range when the time comes. I really only picked an nvidia gpu because it seems to be the more widely preferred option and is currently within budget though it did sort if factor into my choice of monitor with the one I picked being gsync compatible so if everyone agrees an amd gpu would be the better choice please also let me know if I should look into picking out a different monitor. I think the psu I picked out is fairly quality and has a high enough wattage for an upgrade or two in the future but it's another component I'm a little less certain about. It seems lots of other brands offer higher rated or higher wattage power supplies for the same price or lower as the 850 watt 80+ Gold Corsair one I picked out for example a quick search on amazon led me to a 850 watt 80+ platinum power supply from a company called Segotep but it only has a 5 year warranty, thats just the tip of the psu iceberg. I don't want to overpay on anything due to brand paranoia but i also know its probably best to just go with the safest bet. Now for what I actually need the most help figuring out, the case and cooling. As previously stated i got a Corsair Obsidian Series 550D secondhand. It's in pretty good condition and it would suck to have to buy a new case if this one will work. Well that's the big question, will it work? By my count it has spots for 10 case fans 6 of which accommodate 140 mm fans. I was planning on mounting 2 140 mms on the side panel for intake and 2 140 mms at the top for exhaust. Problem is I'm not sure if the side panel 140 mms will actually be able to fit with the cpu cooler installed. By my measurements I have roughly 180-190 mms of space when measured from the top of an installed mobo standoff to the back of the front panel where the 140 mm fans would be installed. The cpu cooler I picked has a height of 155 mm and the fans I picked out have a height of 27 mm. This might be barely enough room but the fans would be practically touching the cpu cooler which may or may not be a problem not sure. Alternatively I could put two 120 mm fans at the front panel for intake and two more 120 mms mounted on the side of the hard drive cages (i could also completely remove the drive cages and just use two 120s at the front) and some combination of 120 or 140 mm fans for exhaust at the top and back of the case. There is one space for a 120/140mm fan at the bottom of the case but unlike every other fan mounting spot in the case (not counting the mounting spots on the drive cages) it doesn't have little rubber pads/spacers which I don't think would be an issue but felt I should mention it just incase (I've included a picture so you can see what I mean). I could also install and aio liquid cooler and mount the radiator at the top, I don't think there would be any clearance issues with mounting fans at the front panel if I did that but not too sure and haven't really looked into aio's too much. So yeah lots of different options to consider including just throwing out the case and buying a new one. Ideally I would like to use the case with the configuration of parts I have selected (scythe fima 2 reb b 4 140 mm fans two at the top two at the side) but am willing to use some other configuration of fans or a shorter cpu cooler (maybe even an aio). If people seem to think I should just ditch this case and get a new one though I'll do that. Well I'm probably forgetting various other things but this post is already way too lengthy if anyone has any additional questions please ask them since im really not sure what information is necessary to include or not as I'm completely new to building pc's.
