Hi, I just bought my first AIO liquid cooler for my brothers for christmas. Him and I never had any kind of water cooled stuff before. I know how to install it, but a don't know how to setup the fan curve. Should it be constant, following the cpu temp, case temp, etc. It will be a 360mm AIO on a R5 2600 at 4,0ghz, for now. It might be overkilled, but that what he wants, and you know, black friday sales What are yours suggestions ?? Thanks

Hey. One fan of my R9 380 series GPU is just restarting over and over. It also makes a little noise when it restarts like it stops hard or something... I bought this fan on ebay like a year ago and it had new fans. Ran really good until recently. I am decent with computers but not amazing with fans. My room has good temps lol I attached a system information screenshot and PSU Things I have Done cleaned fan and whole pc tried msi afterburner & fanspeed made sure bios is updated got the fan out and re screwed it in perfectly formatted my whole pc and reinstalled windows changing pci e slots ( card takes two 6 pins) i just put them the other way and it didnt do anything Things I want to try replace bearings in fan? the above video shows a possible fix. I cannot get there however in my amd program. It updated since the video. If anyone has any way to do that without going on the software, let me know so i can try please!

Alright guys... I've just signed up for the LTT forums in the hope that you knowledgeable legends will be able to help. So a while ago I purchased a PC from CyberPowerPC (yeah, already regretting that move). The PC came already built and worked straight out of the box, but recently I've noticed a problem with the cooling of my unit. The unit came with an AIO Liquid Cooling unit (non-de script CyberPowerPC brand). The unit is mounted on the CPU (Intel Core I7-8700K 3.70GHZ) and is plugged into the CPU_FAN header of the motherboard (ASUS Prime Z370-P). The radiator is mounted on the chassis along with one 120mm fan (also non-de script brand). The fan, however, isn't connected to the AIO Cooling Unit, or to the motherboard. Instead, the 3-pin connector meant to plug into the motherboard has what I can only describe as an "attachment" that is connected to a cable coming directly from the Power Supply (EVGA 600 Watt 80 Plus). The pump works just fine. It cycles the coolant from the CPU to the radiator as it's supposed to. But the fan that is supposed to get air flowing through the radiator does not. In fact, the fan simply doesn't run at all. I read up online and thought that I could switch the Pump to the AIO_PUMP header on the motherboard, and I could simply plug in the fan to the CPU_FAN header (using the 3-pin connector). But when I do that, the computer refuses to boot up. A quick look at the BiOS shows that there is nothing plugged into the CPU_FAN, even though the fan is evidently plugged directly to it. Long story short, it appears that while building my PC, CyberPowerPC decided that instead of plugging the pump into the AIO_PUMP and the fan into the CPU_FAN, they would plug the pump to the CPU_FAN and MacGyver the ONLY FAN MEANT TO BRING AIR THROUGH THE RADIATOR to plug it directly into the power supply.... rendering the 3-pin connector useless. I believe the fan did work at first when I got the PC, but it doesn't anymore, and I can't seem to be able to fix it. My question is: Should I buy a new 120mm fan that can simply plug into the motherboard (as it should), or should I investigate this whole Power Supply set-up? Single fans are not all that expensive so I am tempted to just buy a good replacement one that will actually work as intended. The rest of the system works absolutely fine, though I am still confused my what's going on with the Power Supply but I fear my limited knowledge will not be of use there. Please let me know what you guys make of it. I really don't wanna accidentally incinerate my CPU if I can't get this sorted out.

So I just finished building my first pc with phanteks p300 and i'm a bit worried because my MSI GTX 1070 Armor is hitting 83c playing 1080p games full load. So i'm thinking on adding more case fan to try making the airflow of the case better. Should I fill up all the fan clearance? Also should i replace the included fan of phanteks p300? What do you think guys? Please also good case cooler. Thanks!

What the title says. I don't want to pull it super hard, because I fear that would break the whole wire. Thank you for any ideas/help!

So I don't do many tech forums, but you're one of my more respected youtube channels I watch, so I thought I'd ask you. I am in the process of building an emulator build. The current specs: GA-78LMT-USB3 - AMD FX-8350 - Radeon RX-550 4gb - 16GB Ram Windows 10 Extreme Lite I built a open air test frame, and had been running the system for about a month and half with a Radeon 1gb. I just purchased the RX-550 to replace the older GPU. I powered off everything and removed power cords and lines from the psu and MB. i then went in and removed the old GPU and put in the RX-550. After installing and plugging everything back in I noticed the CPU Fan did not come on as usual. The GPU, CPU, seem to be getting power. So I had a large CoolerMaster CPU fan, and tried to hook it up. Same effect, no power to the CPU Fan. the Bios and plugins are setup correctly, and the plug for the fans and on the MB seem fine, no burn or heated areas. So I wanted to know what else I need be looking for? Maybe something with the PSU itself or actual MB replacement? Weird thing is the old GPU required PSU plugin, RX-550 does not.

Hi! I plan on using fans that dont require my 3 pin fan header, but because I have a stupid OEM board it spits out an error because the fan isnt connected. Is there a way to short or jump the connector so it thinks theres a fan. it'll boot but I have to press F1 and I'm lazy.

So, friends, im having problems regarding a noisy GPU fan. See, i have a Diamond HD5670, a pretty old card which fan most of the time when booting my system, it starts spinning very slowly, making a pretty loud rattling noise, therefore, making its temps start rising really fast. And that leads me to shutting it down forcedly. The big deal is, that it does not have a hole to see the bearings of the fan, as you can see in the images (that labeling is printed on the surface in the first photo). I dont want to force it, i dont want to break it and be without a dedicated gpu (despite being old, it holds like a champ). So, what do you suggest me, what can i do to dismantle the blower without breaking it? Im not looking forward to buy an aftermarket cooling solution just yet (not enough funds). The good part is, the blower is just a 2-cable fan, so i could easily replace it with a 80mm case fan and strap it with zipties, but i wanna see if i can do something first for the stock blower. Thanks for your time guys

I have a fan doing absolutely nothing in my room, and i want to add it behind one of my fans as my case don't have anymore spaces. It will help the airflow or not, like 2 removing air?(i already have the fan so even if it is minimal i will do)

Hey folks, So I have a liquid build planned, The loop will have two EK-CoolStream XE 480 (Quad) 60mm thick rads. The only bit I am stuck on is, which fans to go for. Ideally I'd like RGB fans if they do not compromise performance, The system is over sepc'd so the radiators won't be at full capacity for heat draw with it being connected to one CPU (Zen2 by the looks of it) and two Vega 64's (All OC'd) So yes, please, feel free to throw some fan ideas at me. usually I'd stick with Corsair, maybe their ML series,

I really need some help to find replacement fans for my KFA2 GTX 1080TI GPU. The fans grind and I need to replace them, but I am confused about which Fan will fit and I need help. GPU link: KFA2 GTX 1080TI. I found some but I'm not shure if they will work: Option 1, Option 2. The fan has a model number: T219215SU, on the site it says 90mm, but i found other dimensions under this model. I live in Romania so I need them to get shipped here. Thank you.

Hi, Any possibilty of changing the fan and the "case" of a gtx 770 Msi Variant with a Founders Edition one? I really like the look of the Founders Edition and I wouldn't want to buy another 770 just for the looks of it. Thanks,

I have a Laptop with Single-Fan. I (yeah me) broke the fan and then removed it from the device. I can't change it atleast for a few days. I was wondering if I can use it without the fan if I don't push it with normal browsing and stuff. I downloaded "Open Hardware Monitor" and it shows the Temp is 32-36 C on both the cores. Should I continue or keep it until the repair.

Want to pick an air cooler for a AM3+ FX8320E with little overclock (just in the turbo) in a Asus m5a97 r2.0. The Case is a Thermaltake Versa H24 (155mm height for cooler) with tree intakes (2 front 1 back) and two out (in the top).. I have to pick one of this list "CPU COOLERS" because is the local store in my town. (From Chile, 1 USD=685 clp). Thanks for your help.

I have this problem where when I start the computer, the cpu fan runs at full speed. The heatsink is not hot at all. I have not yet been able to check the temperatures of the system because I am afraid it will fry the CPU if I try to boot into windows. The heat sink is tight, I replaced it with Arctic MX-4 thermal paste and the fan was in the correct position. I tried using one of my other fans and the same thing happened, straight to full speed. I don't know what is causing this to happen and I need a hand in this. Also, something like this happened when I took apart my old Xbox 360 and put on Arctic MX-4 thermal paste. Heatsink was extremely secure on that too. I fixed that by using some CYRIORG thermal paste I got with my old H7 heat sink. I don't get why that fixed it but it did. I haven't tried that on the PC because I'm so unlucky that I just ran out the last time I used it. I have a extremely tightly packed Acer Aspire AX1700-U1710A. I had a Celeron E1400 in it and It did the exact same thing. I tried to see if replacing the CPU might help for some reason but it didn't, full speed again. If anyone out here can help, it'd be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi, So today I installed a new cpu cooler for my ryzen 5 1600 (212 EVO) and I replaced the stock fan with a noctua NF-F12. As soon as I booted up my PC, my GPU fans started spinning out of control and have stayed that way (even when just booting into the bios). I have tried resetting the drivers and the fan curve on MSI AfterBurner. I even tried re-seating the card. Only one fan is spinning at 100% and the other is just doing nothing. Honestly, at this point I am lost. There is no noticable issue with my PSU and other than the fans spinning out of control, there is nothing wrong with the system. SPECS: Ryzen 5 1600 Gigabyte ab 350 Gaming Motherboard 16gb ddr4 TeamGroup RX 580 Nitro+ 8gb Cooler Master 212 Evo w/ Noctua NF-F12 fan Evga 750w B2 Bronze PSU Semi Modular The next thing I plan to try is putting the card in a different PCie slot but I have little hope. If anyone has any ideas, it would be appreciated. Thanks, Nathaniel

(I’m new to the forums, so apologies if this isn’t where it should be) I’ve recently purchased the 570x, worked perfectly for the first 2 days but I’ve swapped some of my hard drives around and I fear that I’ve knocked one of the front fans lighting connectors loose. As you can see in the attached image, it’s only the bottom fans RGB lighting that’s not working, the others are working as they should. Also note that the fan is spinning, it’s just not illuminated. I’ve handled everything delicately, so I doubt that it’s straight-up broken. At a glance, everything appears to be connected as it should be, which is why I’ve decided to post this here before I go digging around inside the case. Is this a simple fix? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey everyone, so I was just upgraded to a 2080 from a 1080 Ti for free as the old one crapped out and they didn't have a replacement model in stock. Awesome. However, after downloading the Aorus tuning app off of Gigabyte's website and running the scan function, then manually setting the fan speed to 100% (for example) there is no change... The fans just stay at 0rpm. The temps slowly climb until the System displays whatever I'm doing at about 1/4fps then shuts the display off. Needless to say I've hardly turned it on since as I don't want to do any damage. I'm honestly so confused and don't know where to start but I'll be talking to Gigabyte when they're available. Any ideas in the meantime?

I searched everywhere but there's no topic about this. but in a review someone said that GALAX GeForce® GTX 1060 EXOC 6GB doesn't support fan stop mode, so that fan runs at 33% when IDLE, i'm not sure that's why asking. and i'm worried about that will this non stop fan reduce it's life cause i'll use my pc all day long but only for other stuff that'll not need to stress the GPU T.I.A
