  1. I think this entire forum needs a review because I’ve used this since July, and I love it. And I promise, this was not sponsored. THE PROS It’s a simple forum. Not many menus, clean interface, and nice people. I’ve been watching LTT since the peak of quarantine in 2020. He just kind of popped in my recommended, and I’ve loved the channel since. I joined the forum a year later on July 19th, 2021. I asked literally one question, and didn’t come back. I then found the forum again around August/September of 2021. I then started using this forum as kind of like a small, better social media. That’s why I use SU’s so much. The community is so nice and friendly, that I feel comfortable here. I like that. CONCLUSION No cons about this, I love it. Forum Rating: 10/10.
  2. Valve’s Steam Deck famously runs the Linux-based SteamOS, but now that Windows drivers are out, it’s not the only game in town anymore. Is Microsoft’s OS the better pick, or should you stick to SteamOS? Valve's instructions and drivers: https://help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/view/6121-ECCD-D643-BAA8
  3. Ok, my PC is very special to me. I only just got it in Christmas, but this PC has meant a lot to me. It is my daily PC. It does everything for me. Video editing, photo editing, gaming, talking to my friends, and even more later down the line. Maybe I’ll start Blender one day, but not for a while. Anyways, let’s start this big review. Sit back, relax, grab some popcorn, and let’s start reviewing. THE ADVANTAGES Before we even start on the pros, (which are a lot) let’s talk about the advantages of having a PC. (Sorry to the people without one!) There are many, but in my opinion, the biggest advantage is that you can multitask so easily. Yes you can photoshop, yes you can do video work, and yes you can play almost every single game. But if you really think about it, the PC is a beautiful, multitasker. How? Well, you can watch a video while playing a game, and while using Blender or video editing. You can do so much at once, that sometimes you may only want to do 1 or 2 things. It does matter on how powerful your specs are, but almost everyone now has at least a dual-core CPU, so you can multitask without your computer exploding. Now are the disadvantages, because there are a few. THE DISADVANTAGES I know right? There are disadvantages to owning a computer? Yes, yes there are. Not a lot, but there are a few, like mobility. You can’t just shove a computer into your pocket. Unless your pockets are the size of the Hawaiian Islands. Another thing is power. Would you like to carry around a motherboard with a power supply with you? No, I don’t think so. You would want to carry around a phone, with a cable. There are a couple of other things, but this isn’t what you came here for, you came here for the review of MY computer. So, let’s begin! THE PROS Uh, do I even need a paragraph for this? Yes. But anyways, there are so many pros for me because I’ve never had a PC, so this feels insane. I also have a really good PC. (CPU, GPU, and AIO review links are at the end.) I felt like passing out when I got it. I love how smooth the games are, I love the video editing work I can do on it, I love the big screen with all of the beautiful 120Hz, and I love that sweet sweet RGB. A lot of people complain about their PC’s, but if you just take a step back and think for a second, you’ll really see that maybe it’s not so bad after all. You’ll think maybe I am really lucky that I got this. Because, you ARE! We are all grateful enough to have all of this cool gear. It doesn’t matter if you don’t have the latest 9.8GHz CPU with 837 cores, you have heart, a PC, and gratefulness. That, is why I love the gaming community. CONCLUSION Oh boy, it’s great. We are all lucky to have this. And again, thank you so much mom and dad for this PC, and thank you stranger for reading this forum. Hope to catch you next time someone gets cancelled. Wait I don’t have Twitte- well whatever. Hope to see you next time, I, see you..? My PC’s Rating: 8274639927383/10. Wonderful. Reviews for CPU, GPU, AIO. CPU: https://linustechtips.com/topic/1409650-ryzen-9-5900x-review/ GPU: https://linustechtips.com/topic/1402516-asus-rtx-3060-ti-lhr-review/ AIO: https://linustechtips.com/topic/1410179-corsair-h150i-aio-review/
  4. Minecraft is a game that I have been playing for years, almost 8 to be exact. (Started in May or June of 2014.) I have had my ups and downs with Minecraft, like not playing for months, and playing every single day. Now, he’s the review for a game lol. THE PROS (and the Legacy) Oh boy, where do I begin. For starters, I found out about Minecraft from my sister, and I used to have 2 versions of it. Minecraft PE, (Pocket Edition) and Minecraft PE Lite. If you know what MCPE Lite is, you’re a legend. I fell in love with the game right when I got it. It gave me so much freedom to build whatever I wanted, and I love Legos, so this game was perfect. I built anything from a small house to an entire city with an island. I loved how back when Microsoft didn’t make everything need an account, I joined servers with no account and played some Hunger Games and obstacle courses. Minecraft will forever be in my heart as the game that really staples my childhood. (Also I watched a lot of Stampylonghead. Shoutout to the people who know him.) But, with every review, there is a downside. THE CONS (Pretty minor lol) Ok, so I don’t have the most money, but Minecraft costs $6.99. But that’s not all. Since that Microsoft controls Minecraft, there is something called Minecoins and it’s basically a currency for Minecraft. (Kinda like Robux or V-Bucks.) You can buy maps, skin-packs, etc. But, the coins do cost real money and to get Minecoins, you need a Microsoft account. I don’t have one, so no maps for me, yay! (I’m not bothered to make one lol.) There is another issue. Minecraft YT. It used to be Stampy Cat, iBallisticSquid, L for Lee, DanTDM, etc. Now it’s like Dream SMP, weird videos, and other interesting stuff. There’s still good content, but not a lot. CONCLUSION In conclusion, Minecraft is great. A few nit-picks, but overall, it’s my childhood. Minecraft Rating: 11/10. I mean, I love the game and grew up on it.
  5. So, you may all know the company Anker. I’ve used their power banks, but that’s all to be honest. So, I’m just going to review the power banks. THE PROS There is a lot to like about the power banks. They have a lot of capacity on the ones that I have. The biggest one that I have, 20,600 mAh, charges my entire phone without losing a dot lol. They are fast, big, and have 1-2 ports on them. They are quite chunky, but it’s fine with me. But, there is 1 issue. THE CONS This issue sounds stupid, but whenever I either charge my phone or the bank, the lights are BRIGHT. Sometimes, I have to flip it so I can sleep. It’s so minor, but so annoying. CONCLUSION They are some of the best power banks I’ve ever had, period. Anker Power Banks Rating: 9.5/10. Please make the light dimmer lol.
  6. Hello does anyone have any experience with the, Neutron Lab Vanquish 3401B Tempered Glass PC Case, I would like to know if it would fit my msi B450 Tomohawk Max II ATX motherboard? Many thanks
  7. Hi, I have a school project where I need to have a few questions answered by people who have had involvement with technology for a few years (around 5+ preferably). A name is useful but not required, as is an organization you worked at or with were you witnessed these changes. I only need a couple people but more is always better. For anyone willing, thank you so much and here are the questions (there is a link for a Google Form if you would like to answer through that): 1. Give a brief description of your background including roles, years of service, and perspective (as someone working in IT, an observer, or other)? 2. a) Provide a detailed description of what processes were affected by technological innovations (how they worked then vs. now) and b) briefly describe the disruptions these may have caused. 3. What type of ethical problems arose as a result of the aforementioned changes? 4. How did other employees of your organization react to the changes? 5. How did these technological changes change relationships between employees and management (such as how was each groups powered modified)? 6. What ethical dilemmas arose as a result of these shifts in power? 7. How well did you deal with the changes and how quickly did you embrace them? The more detail the better but anything helps and even if you don't answer I really appreciate you taking the time to read! https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScTkV3EBsAsEiAwquhH2rMxkB4GpIklDEwh-Ro7aasj50NmqA/viewform?usp=sf_link
  8. I'm looking at the Athena Power AP-RRPS2K20. Does anyone have any experience with it? Also, can I safely convert SATA to MOLEX? If so, what adapter would you recommend? Also, what power cables do you recommend? Thanks.
  9. I've been thinking of getting a budget keyboard that is not too loud, is tactile and cheap. So i want to know what its like. Please tell me
  10. I installed a gt 430 into my windows 7 x64 pc and installed the 391.35 driver. I then tried to enable v sync but I got an access denied/couldn’t apply settings to your system. I also tried to install GeForce experience but got an install failed error. I tried reinstalling the driver but that didn’t fix it. TIA
  11. I’ve been seeing a lot of feedback around RAM frequency and speed which is starting to confuse me about trying to get optimal performance in games. 3600MHz @ C16 Seems to be the best choice for Ryzen 3000 series from what I’ve seen but can also be tricky and pricey to get hold of as of late, but you find a lot of cheaper kits of 3600MHz @ C18/19 etc but the issue I have is I also see people say just get 3400MHz @ C16 as it performs the same if not better than a 3600Mhz @ C18/19 etc.. Im looking to run a 3600x with a 2070 super. Any guidance or experience had with this would be much appreciated !
  12. Hey! I need your help please please please I am trying to figure out what I should get for speakers. I would like some speakers for my setup that will blow me away but not blow my bank account away I was debating these two options but if you have other suggestions let me know: Edifier R1280T 2.0 Logitech Z623 Which speakers do I go for? I want them for mostly music and possibly movies. Want to be able to use these for gatherings and parties if I have people over and I want it to be able to produce good sounding quality with some thump. Thanks so much for spending your time to read this hopefully I can figure out what the best speakers are for this!
  13. Hey I would like to know the framerates that you get in your games, any game. As i said you can suggest any game since I will try alot of them, but my main ones for now will be LoL, CS:GO, PUBG, Blackops 4. Also, leave your resolution, as i will play on 1080p.
  14. So I think I messed up my 3 month old pc. And I don't even know how I did it. Specs first: 9700k (was overclocked to 5.0 all cores) 64gb ddr4 Trident Z RGB (was 32gb until 8 days ago Strix 1080ti non overclocked besides stock oc. So, I game sometimes, but not that often, I still want a beast pc for gaming when I do, so that's why I built this in January. At that point I had 32gb ram, and 5.0ghz oc. 8 days ago I added 32gb of the exact same ram (same timings and everything). I game on oculus rift mostly, and noticed it wasn't working now 7 days ago, on my day off. It all seemed to work, but it was giving me crazy hdmi problems. I do have an HDMI extension, which might have been the problem. But, it had worked perfectly for 4 months, so first thing I did, was a fully clean nvidia driver reinstall (trough geforce experience because I'm lazy) That's when everything went to hell. -PC froze on driver install (beginning of the bar, installing driver) -I rebooted. No video output. Great. -Rebooted a few more times, still no output. Connected to CPU video out, still nothing. At this point I got pretty stressed out. -Extra ram was only in there for 1 day at this point, so I took it out and went back to how it was before. Nope, still nothing. -Cleared cmos (so at this point OC is also gone). Now I got video output on the CPU. That's something. Meanwhile during all this, the GPU post light was on every time on the motherboard (it has never done that before). Troubleshooting to fix the driver, while connected to CPU output started here: -Reinstalled the driver. Same thing, frozen pc. -Went into safe mode and reinstalled, same thing, frozen pc. -Found something called "Display Driver Uninstaller" -Uninstalled driver in safe mode. Rebooted to safe mode. Reinstalled driver, same thing, frozen pc. -Uninstalled driver in safe mode. Rebooted to safe mode. Used device manager to install stock driver. Worked! Then used device manager to update driver automatically. (no nvidia installer was used in this, only windows), same thing, frozen pc. Most of these steps where repeated a few times in different combinations but always with the same result, frozen pc. -Used system restore to go back to earliest available state. Cool. GPU output now works again, BUT, driver seems to be gone. Geforce experience is back also, but trying to open it does absolutely nothing, besides open a "nvidia container" process, it doesn't open any windows or prompts. No nvidia control panel to be found anywhere ether. -In any way I install the newest driver, everything freezes, GPU post light comes on, and GPU output stops working. I have GPU output working now only because I went back with system recovery. -Also did windows memory diagnostics because why not, everything is fine there. I'd like to get back to the latest driver, and get back geforce experience. I am now on 25.21.14.2531 (april 9 2019) so that's fine, but I'd like to figure out what the hell is wrong, why I can't ever update again, and why geforce experience can no longer be used. I have no clue what happened. I hope someone can tell me.
  15. I've read many reviews of the thinkpad X230 and X240, stumbled upon archaic tech forums, watched youtube reviews and it's comment section. The general consensus I got was that it's pretty popular, very modular and open (removable ram, battery, storage, multiple types of dock and multiple capacity of battery), inexpensive, and VERY durable. I stumbled upon a forum in which a user said that he left said series of thinkpad in the snow, and then later on, found out that it still working minus bluetooth. (Could be lying but that's pretty specific and hard to believe) So, any extreme experiences with said series of ThinkPad?
  16. Information for moderators: Yes, this text is written in absolutely horrible English. It's because I'm not from an English-speaking country and English is not my native language. I beg you, therefore, if you have some free time, to adjust my text to a nicer form. Surely it is pain to read it in the state it is: D I apologize sincerely. I remember the day my friend showed me how it was to have a ThinkPad T-Series as if it were yesterday. He showed me how much he would last, how he had all the ports, and how everything was just perfect. My first ThinkPad was the T420 (Refurbished - 2016). I changed it after about 2 years for the T430 (Refurbished - 2018) and 14 days ago I bought the brand new ThinkPad T580. I have been deciding whether to spend money on performance, style, or if I buy a cheaper ThinkPad and save a little. But finally I chose the best I can get today (unprofessional) ThinkPad T580. As a student, programmer, sometimes a player and especially a proud owner of several still "good old" ThinkPads, I have big demands on this notebook, so I decided to describe my experience with it. First, I would like to mention: The competition: After a long browsing the main finalists were those laptops: ThinkPad T580 ThinkPad E590 MSI GS65 Stealth Thin 8RF Dell XPS 15 ASUS ZenBook 15 There were a lot of others, but it wasn't worth listing all. One of the main reasons I didn't choose Dell XPS or Asus ZenBook was the lack of ports. I wasn't interested in VGA or a lot of USBs but I don't know if I would survive a laptop without RJ-45 or with one USB-C. Next reasons were missing numpad (I wanted that for mz programmer work) and not be able to tilt screen flat. The reason I didn't choose the cheaper "Edge" model of the ThinkPad will probably be clear to everyone. Notebooks feel cheap plastic and you just don't feel like they are ThinkPads. Finally, I said that if I buy a ThinkPad then it will be a T-series. The main finalists were T580 and MSI. Finally, I decided that I would be more comfortable with a replaceable battery, a better keyboard, a numeric pad and a 3 year on-site warranty than gaming-level performance. So what I got: I bought what looks like the highest model in terms of components that can't be upgraded: Intel Core i7-8650U processor 8GB 2400MHz RAM (I will 100% upgrade this soon) 256GB SSD PCIe NVMe Opal2 (I will 100% upgrade this soon) Intel UHD Graphics 620 NVIDIA GeForce MX150 Fingerprint reader, camera, 4G LTE, card reader, backlit keyboard 1080p display (4k on 15" laptop??? Nonsense...) 32+24Wh batteries (More about that later) Total cost: 1481$ (USD) (Official local lenovo shop - lenovoshop.cz) First impression: Carefully unpack, pull out power adapter, instructions, notebook .... Wow ... He is skinny as fuck! Open, turn on ... Nothing happens ... Plug adapter .. Woow USB-C charger: D Turn On ... Works ... External battery 0%. Interesting.... (Charged without any problem) Display turned on ... Wooow IPS: D First words on keyboard ... Amazing ... Same as on older models. This is how I would sum up the first impression. 16.4.2019 - Impressions after 14 days: I don't have time to go into full details at this point, because I'm in a hurry, but if you're interested, be sure to check out this post a few more times. I'll add more content and impressions. Build quality: At first, the overall quality of processing fascinated me, but now I can say that the notebook is not as tough as its predecessors. Of course, he is half thinner and I also had 14" models, but it can be littlebit more rigid. What's worse than older models, but it doesn't make me sad is a little bend if you grab a corner on your notebook. It's normal for a 2kg laptop to bend a little. But I wouldn't hold the notebook on display, I'm sure the display would survive if I grabbed it by the corner but it wasn't what it used to be, and no one expected to wear it at the corner of the display. So I rate overall build quality positively for the weight and thickness, but there are three things that are really bad: After 1 day of use, the keyboard began to squeak where the "Fn" key is located. Creaking was worse when the laptop was warm. It was an unbearable sound. I used the warranty and they exchanged the keyboard today after 15 minutes in service. The sound is gone and I hope it won't come back. The notebook suffocates on a flat surface and is even worse if you have a tablecloth on it or a mat. But more about it later. Worst problem. The keyboard touches the display when the notebook is closed. After 2 days of wearing in the notebook bag, prints began to appear. Unfortunately, one print remained permanently. Lenovo should give me at least a piece of cloth or protective foil. I would rather have a notebook 2mm thicker than this. I know almost all the new laptops are having trouble with it, but I didn't expect Lenovo to have it. My old T430 didn't do it even though I was staying on it. Display: I'm no expert on displays. I have an average cheap 22" IPS panel from Samsung at home and I've always had a TN panel in my laptop. So I can't evaluate the display quality objectively. The quality and colors of the display seem good to me, despite the fact that official reviews really criticized the colors and overall quality. The only thing I can criticize is luminosity. The display seems to me relatively dark in well-lit rooms. The viewing angles are really good, but as I say, I cannot evaluate objectively. Battery: The battery is disappointing for me, but I was expecting it. Lenovo writes that with 32 + 24Wh combination, I will reach 13 hours of maximum and an average of around 6-7 hours. I unfortunately at my work (Browser and IDE development, half brightness and Windows performance settings in the middle) not got over 5 hours. I will test even more and try to calibrate the batteries, but I'm not really excited about it and I'm sure I can't get it for 13 hours. I don't think you can get even 10 hours. Maybe on 480p movie on low brightness. I'm still going to test the battery, and I'm sure I will still write the results here ASAP. Performance: I haven't had time to test my laptop's performance fully yet, but with the work I have done so far (school, web development, Minecraft with my friends), my laptop doesn't have a problem. Unfortunately, it warms up a lot, but about that in next chapter. I tested the notebook with Aida64 and I didn't get into throttling in a stress test (CPU, FPU, iGPU) at normal room temperature on flat surface without cloth on it. The processor has stabilized at 75 degrees and 1.9GHz which is base-clock and I see no problem in that. Of course, the notebook was on the charger and set to the highest performance. I want to test a dedicated GPU because I suspect that when I play a game on a dedicated GPU (MX150) it starts to throttle after a while and the performance is worse than if I played on iGPU. Unfortunately, this would mean that I return the notebook and want a GPU-free model because it is useless. Heat and noise: Temperatures and noise are strange. In idle mode, the notebook is silent only if you do not have a charge connected. When charging, the fan rotates like crazy and blows cold for no reason. Apparently it can be somehow solved in SW. As I wrote, I haven't done any proper tests on my laptop yet, but I've been playing and working on it a little bit and bottom was melting while gaming. I can't hold my palm on it. It's not normal for me, but let's say its fine :D On the keyboard, the notebook is warm, but it's definitely nothing terrible. Gaming notebooks are much worse. If I had to summarize so the laptop is not quiet or loud. Fan sound is not annoying even at the highest speed. It doesn't have that horrible high frequency sound like some other laptops. But it certainly deserves better heat dissipation. As I mentioned earlier, the laptop seems to be warming because lack of airflow from bottom, where it has about 3mm of space. Old thinkpads were sucking from behind or from the side and it was fine. Keyboard: Although there are still people who think that the new ThinkPad keyboard is disgusting,I find it as good as the Dell XPS or Surface keyboard. The keyboard is hard, bends minimally, is quiet and accurate. The old ThinkPad keyboard (until T420 model) was also excellent. I'm not saying no. I just say that this is also very good and there is nothing to criticize. Then there is the aforementioned creak, which they fixed in the service, so it was a piece defect. I also like dedicated top line of functional keys Ports: As I mentioned, I wanted my new laptop to have all the necessary ports. I think the ports on the E590 were the same, but Thunderbold 3 was missing. Total port equipment is good, maybe one more big USB would be useful, but we're in USB-C and dongle times right? Overall I'm satisfied with the ports. With location not so. Both large USBs are on the right side and the headphone jack too. If you plug other than a wireless mouse, flash drive or a headset that does not have a hooked connector, it will really interrupt your mouse (If youre right-handed ofc). Software: Last thing I want to mention is the preinstalled software. I thought I'd have to reinstall my computer on clean Windows, but I was really pleasantly surprised. No bloadware. Only Lenovo Vantage, which has proven to be a really good and useful tool. I have my notebook really short time in comparsion of ThinkPad's lifetimes, so my appreciation is not entirely detective or objective. I hope it will be useful for people who deciding which laptop to choose. I'm sure it's not a cheap laptop, and although I hate Apple for its high brand price, I know Lenovo does it a little too. I bought this expensive laptop because I already have a good experience with ThinkPads and this model, with a few exceptions, did not disappoint and pleasantly surprised. 21.6.2019 - Impressions after 2 months: Build quality: I have the same opinion as when I reviewed my 14 days experience. Keyboard sound not came back. I am still using piece of cloth between display and keyboard. If I stop using it, my display will suffer from permanent marks. Display: I have the same opinion as when I reviewed my 14 days experience. Luminocity is not great but not terrible and color are good for me. Battery: I have the same opinion as when I reviewed my 14 days experience, sadly. Do not use Sleep Mode. I left notebook 2 days in sleep mode and forst battery was empty and second halfed. (Started on 80%, 80%). Something eating big amount of power in sleep mode. Performance: I tested dedicated GPU more and it really throttling when sitting on flat table without any lift. I played WoT on low details and basic graphics mode and throttling started after 30 minutes. Also I had ~70FPS and it was randomly dropping for few ms to 40-45FPS. Not caused by explosions or so. It was really random. I dont know whats hapenning and I am disapointed so far. Also second game I want to play on this machine "Oxygen Not Included" not running 60FPS even it was running 60FPS on T420 with NVS5400M! Heat and noise: I have the same opinion as when I reviewed my 14 days experience. As I described above, GPU throttling after half hour of gaming. Keyboard: I have the same opinion as when I reviewed my 14 days experience. Ports: I have the same opinion as when I reviewed my 14 days experience. Software: I have the same opinion as when I reviewed my 14 days experience. Feel free to leave commentary or question. Have a good time and goodbye in about 4 months when I will update my rating to 6 months of use. It will be final review. 18. this will be my first review ever on this forum, and why not about the phone I've been using for about a month now? My beloved huawei p8 lite wasn't working properly anymore, so i needed a replacement, and i had some money for it. so i wanted something high end, and came out after a discussion here on the forum to get myself a xiaomi mi8 in white. I'll be listing my positive, neutral and negative feedback here, based on my own use, no reviews or anything, just my own experience. Unboxing: the unboxing starts with a couple items: Quickcharge 3 charger type c to 3.5 inch headphone jack the phone (duh) a case manual Screen: the screen is a beautiful OLED display, which I enjoyed really well because it's my first one, the blacks are black, the whites are whites and everything looks what I would like to see. The little problem with it is that it is a bit of a weird resolution. It's a 18,7:9 screen, which makes some content have black bars or not being fully visible, I know this is the case with any 18+:9 screen, but I wanted to adress it. Sound: the sound is nothing special. the speaker is loud, but only buttom firing and as on many phones low quality. They are loud enough to frustrate my little brother, but just of a quality I would rather get my headphones to watch a video... if I could at least. my dongle broke after a week of use because i bent it, so I have to borrow my mothers bluetooth headset. Security: the security of the phone is in android 9 really nice. You can use face unlock or fingerprint, and you don't really have to wait around for it to unlock, because there's no swiping or pressing required. The only problem with the fingerprint is that it can react when your hand is in your pocket, but that's about it Android: MIUI is something you either like or you don't, just like with EMUI. I personally love them both as I don't need the perfect stock experience, and they work around the same from my expierence. They have done a great work on it, but the only thing I would want to change is the bloatware that comes with it. You get mi cloud and some other Xiaomi apps that I won't be using any time soon, as I have my own solutions for it already, and if possible I would have deleted them. I had some small problems with updating to android 9, because I had to manually press update, which is as far as I know uncommon. One thing that did annoys me should be menioned, it sounds like a little thing, but it has been pretty frustrating. when I hold my phone in landscape and I want to paste something into chrome (a website for example) I get the paste button on the spot where the back button is. You can alternatively download the Poco launcher in the play store, it's a lot cleaner. Design/ports: The mi8 looks great with both a front and back glass panel, with my model being in white. It feels really nice, but I recommend using a case, as the camera module is sticking out a bit. The case that came with it is minimal for what it is, but it's fine for my own use. All the ports that can be found is a type C 2.0 for up to Qualcomm Quickcharge 4, and can be used for sound too of course. Camera: I see a big difference here. The pictures are or really good, or just straight up blurry in the wrong hands. The phone uses Ai to make the photo optimal for the usecase, and gets it mostly right there, but I've seen other people trying to make good pictures with it, but failing with it. But that also happened with my Nikon, so it might just be them... The double lenses on both sides make for a great experience for me, but it's still not up to the level of a good camera. Speed: oh boy, let's get started here. Snapdragon 845 is one heck of a fast chip, it came out at 99th percentile in 3dmark slingshot extreme, and 39th of the world. my own performed better than most ones, and fully outperformed the Iphone X in opengl (benchmarks shown below), weirdly enough it seems to struggle in Vulcan, with a way lower score on it. The geekbench scores are a bit lower, but still pretty good. Conclusion: + great screen + hella fast + great camera + facial recognition but still a fingerprint sensor + for me a great ui + everything in the box + quickcharge 4.0 - ui not for everyone - some kind of weird aspect ratio - no headphone jack - single buttom firing speaker - weak headphone dongle benchmarks or other tests can be added on request
  19. Hello guys, I will change my case soon, and I'm looking for someone that could give me a feedback of the temperature of Corsair Air 240, and if it is possible to have an opinion about a confront between the Corsair and CoolerMaster MB500. which one is better??
  20. Hi, has anyone bought Huawei matebook x pro yet? It really looks good on the paper but I'm worried about customer support and warranty and such since it's chinese. Also would you reccomend xps 15 or razer blade (2018) over matebook x?
  21. Hello , im currently working on a build and got everything sorted out but weather to get this 1080 https://pcpartpicker.com/product/49YWGX/msi-geforce-gtx-1080-8gb-duke-oc-video-card-gtx-1080-duke-8g-oc or if i should just try and save some money and get either this 1070ti Gigabyte GeForce GTX https://www.amazon.com/dp/B077P9HX2V/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_wOI3AbRZB1W22 or this 1070 Ti https://m.newegg.com/products/N82E16814932012 I plan on gaming on a 2k monitor and may get a better 4k some time in the future. Just wanted to get some opinions on those cards specifically considering their build quality, lifespan , future proofing and their performances https://www.extremetech.com/gaming/258357-nvidias-new-gtx-1070-ti-neatly-splits-difference-gtx-1070-1080 . Is that 1080 worth $100 more? please let me know your thoughts, thanks!
  22. Hi everyone, Just trying to get an idea on how this case is, in all aspects. Doing a white build and was having difficulty choosing a case. Any information is appreciated! Thanks All! ~tropton~
  23. I couldn't find a better place to post this so I though this thread seemed the most adequate for the LTT choices available. Is it just me or do desktops just seem to provide a more immersive experience than laptops, even high end ones? I really don't want to drag this question on but as I have gotten older I feel as though I have developed autism and began to notice more and more things that drive me crazy. Among these is never being happy with anything, but especially laptops vs my desktop. My desktop build is a fx vishers 4350 on a gigabyte gmt-78 and 4 gigabytes of ram, I am currently running an HP elite book with 8 gb ram and an 15-2540M cpu, but I did have an alienware r3 with an i7 and 32 gb of ram and an ssd at one point up until last year the processor died and I have yet to get around to replacing, but I am planning on it. I am sure I can explain what I mean but it would be much easier if you were here to show you and explain it more throughly with in person, but to explain it briefly I would say obviosly my AW R3 with the 17 at around 3.7 hz operating frequency was running the fastest (even though the fx ran close to that if not surpassing it when oc'd), but when I speak about latency I don't mean processing speed I mean mouse to screen immersion speed. And by that I mean the speed between the time you move the move and the time the screen reacts and also the polling rate. And to be fair I have experimented with many different laptops and mouses and desktops and their software but always feel this way, as if when I am behind a pc, regardless of how old or out dated it is, that I am driving a ferrari or a porsche, but when I use a laptop I feel like I am more at it whims, as if it is throttling down to control its weigh as it moves around turns all on its own, it just feels different. Like I can actively tell when I am using a pc and I can actively tell when I am on a desktop, it just feels so much more reliable, is there any truth to this? Does anyone else know why this is?

  25. Hi, I was just wondering if all the 'goop' actually works for keyboards, and other tiny cracks. If so, could you recommend me a good one? I'm Canadian and have Amazon prime; prime Canada is like Canadian Netflix :-(. I also use compressed air, and have taken apart keyboard before. This is more me asking if the stuff works and which one to buy. Thanks. :}
