After reading EVGA's second-hand warranty, I determined I didn't qualify as the previous owner definitely smoked cigarettes and spilled something on the backplate. So I figured I had nothing else to lose for this board. EVGA RTX 2080 XC released that sweet sweet vapor, but as a commoner, I have been unsuccessful in determining the component that failed if I was to replace it, though I doubt it is possible. I presume this has fried internal traces and is kinda useless, but I was curious. In the very, very slim chance that these were in parallel and I can knock it off the board to keep her chuggin' I figured, what the hell, it's dead either way

graphics card I.S.O. EVGA RTX 3080 FTW 3 (Read Description)
M. Rizzi posted a topic in Graphics Cards
READ ME: Scalpers and bots have completely ruined online shopping for graphics cards and other higher end computer parts. I am posting this because it is one of the only places I can think of where the people are not scamming bots and/or stereotypical greedy individuals. <Removed by staff> Thank you for any and all help, it is greatly appreciated! -
So I got the 2070 super KO around the time of its launch, and it has served me very well, but I'm now looking into getting into water-cooling and in the process I realized that the KO card is not a reference board, because its kost optimized its got a massive bank of capacitors and a few other differences, I was wondering if anyone had a water block that would work for it because I cant seem to find one. I just want to know if I should wait to water cool my system till I upgrade to a not scuffed better card.

As mentioned I have an EVGA 3090 FTW3 Hybrid and now since the AMD CPUs are not as scarce as they once were, I'm trying to decide which CPU will pair well for me. The main use will be for 4K gaming, I'm not a streamer or content creator. I'm eyeing the 5800x but I'm still wondering if that will pair well or not, suggestions much appreciated. Oh if it matters I have an X570 motherboard with trident 32GB 3600MHz RAM.

First, my MoBo gave me a code 55. Then, I fixed it by waiting a day and then reseating the RAM. Now, after delidding my CPU, the MoBo is giving me a code 55. RAM works. CPU contact pads/MoBo CPU pins are clean. BIOS is the most recent (v 3801). I have tried switching around the RAM modules, nothing works. I have tried resetting the CMOS. Any ideas? System specs are: 6700K (delidded w/ Conductonaut) 32 GB DDR4 (SKU: CMK32GX4M2A2666C16, on the MoBo's QVL list). WD BLUE SN550 1TB NVMe RM550x EVGA GTX 1070 SC

Hi! So basically, I was very lucky on the launch of the RTX 3060 and managed to purchase two cards, one for me and one for my Brother. He basically doesn't want it anymore so we're going to return one, I want to keep the best one. My question is, which one, based on a performance and overclocking ability standpoint? The cards in question are the EVGA RTX 3060 XC Gaming and the MSI RTX 3060 Gaming X. The EVGA card says it has a boost clock of 1882MHz, whereas, the MSI one says 1837MHz. I'm confused as to how factory overclocks work, are all cards capable of boosting to higher levels and the factory overclock is just as high as they wanted to push it? Does it automatically run at the factory boost clock speed if it has one? How much more performance can you get if you continue to oc it? I'm just confused between these two cards and which is better/has a higher ceiling to be able to be overclocked to, as the EVGA card is smaller and only has one 8 pin power connector and the MSI card is larger and has an 8 pin and a 6 pin power connector, which makes me think that the MSI card could draw more power and be able to cool better for greater performance due to it being larger and probably having a larger heatsink. However, the EVGA one looks better on paper with the factory boost oc. The MSI one is also more expensive on every retailer that I can find. Additionally, BitWit on Youtube was able to get over 2000MHz on an EVGA RTX 3060 XC Black that he manually overclocked, which is a worse card, would the other EVGA card and the MSI card be able to be manually overclocked to higher levels than that card? The only difference that I can see with the Black version is a lower boost clock of 1777MHz. I hope someone can help clear up some of my confusion and help me decide on which card to keep as I want to keep the card that will give me the best overall potential performance if I overclock. Thanks in advance and sorry if these are stupid questions!

So i was going to buy the ASUS RTX 3090 strix OC but i noticed people saying that if you watercool it its going to loose its warranty vs the EVGA 3090 FTW3 Ultra which doesn't void warranty if you watercool it. So i found the EVGA 3090 FTW3 Ultra quite interesting instead and was wondering if anybody knows if there's a big difference between the 2 cards comparing to overclocking and such? I'm going to overclock the card I'm getting so would you just pull the trigger at the STRIX and not care for warranty or would you get the EVGA instead? Is the 2 cards more or less the same when overclocking or is there a big difference between the EVGA and STRIX? Hope to get some tips on which to buy Thanks!

Hi, I built my current pc a little over a year ago and today out of the blue when I booted it up I could not unlock it. It was not detecting any imput from my keyboard or mouse (but when I unplug and replug my keyboard the rgb lights work). I went and tried another mouse and keyboard and in multiple ports, but it would still not detect them. I then checked that every connection was in order and i decided to reset my cmos and bios. Now whenever I boot I get a D7 error code on my motherboard despite having a working mouse and keyboard plugged into the back. All fans light up and spin, and monitor gives the sceeen "CMOS checksum error, Press F1 skip, F12 enter Setup". Due to my pc not detecting any keyboard or mouse I cannot press F1 or F12. I have unplugged all non essential usb and drives. Is there any solution other than getting a new motherboard? Here are my specs if it helps: EVGA Z370 micro atx mobo Gigabyte 1070 2x8GB Gskill ripjaw V Intel i5 8400 Uphere case fans Inland professional SSD 1TB 2.5 SATA Gamdias Kratos M1 750B 80+ Bronze If you have any other questions I will answer them to the best of my ability and any help is appreciated. Thank you very much

Hello, Some years ago I bought an EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 P2 for a super cheap price but the seller did not give me any information about its function. I plugged it in but I received no power from it so I stored it for some years. A few days ago I realized that I could just sell it for parts since the demand for high wattage power supplies was high. Instead I changed my mind and realized that I could just fix it instead and risk taking it apart. When I took it apart I saw that all the aluminum electrolytic capacitor looked good or did not have any bumps on the top. So I was wondering what other components typically affect the function of this power supply? When I try to power it on the fan does spin at all, nothing really happens but the capacitors do charge every time I plug it in.

So i just bought a used EVGA 650 GQ powersuply but the seller didn't sent the modular cables for semi modular cables and wont respond to me. So now I'm stuck with a psu with only a 24-pin. I was looking for replacement cables from EVGA themselves but it says that they don't have any compatible kits for the GQ lineup. So my question is if this is true or if you could buy induvidualy compatible cables from their website or if I'm doomed to only power my motherboard...

I just ordered an EVGA 3060 and wanted to know if I could replace it with my current gpu for like a week or 2, while my other components for another pc arrive. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/QCtwTJ Is 500w going to limit/damage my gpu? Is it safe? It will only be for a week until my new pc arrives

Previous System: Ryzen 5 5600x EVGA Geforce GTX 980 SC x570 Aorus ELITE WIFI New System: Ryzen 9 5900x EVGA Geforce GTX 980 SC <------ Broken x570 Aorus ELITE WIFI I swapped my old 5600 for a new 5900. When the computer booted it asked me to reset itfx??? or something like that i forget the exact name. I thought it was because it wanted me to update the bios considering it was asking me to do so because a new cpu was detected. I declined and it came back. Since it warned me to disable bitlocker and my pin before doing so, i powered down my pc and swapped back to the 5600. This is where my nightmare began. I turned the pc back and my screen remained blank. at first i thought i bricked my motherboard, but since all my rgb was coming on, i figured it wasn't the issue. So i started troubleshooting parts and when i swapped out my gpu the login screen came up. I went ahead and re swapped the cpus and and reset itfx??? GPU still doesn't work. Tried redownloading the drivers, they don't detect the gpu. currently have them installed like this

I recently finished my computer 3 days ago and I been smell weird smell from psu , My temps on everything are fine , and my psu has been working fine and I have no problem expect for this smell . ( by the way I had my computer fully built with out the gpu for about 7 months so the psu might have collected dust if that is important ) CPU : 5600x GPU : Swift 210 Rx 6600 PSU : EVGA SuperNOVA 650 Ga

I've narrowed my choices of new PSU down to the EVGA P+ 1300 and the Seasonic Prime 1300 Gold as they both seem good and I can get them for about the same price. Which of these would you go with and why?

Hello, I have a EVGA Nvidia 1080 ti Hybrid Ryzen 1600x Mobo Aorus b450 Backstory my issue is my PC last night was working just fine, shut down normally. this morning i go ahead and turn on the PC no image, but everything turn on. i go online and read and i decided to Go ahead and clean de CMOS on the motherboard. Actual issue. PC comes on normally boots, but after less than a minute my screen just turns in to a solid color and nothing happens after that. i restart go on to safe mode and the error does not happen. go back to normal and i keep getting same error of a solid color screen. i installed ddu, lunch in to safe mode clean the drivers, PC boots fine, when i went ahead and installed the drivers same issue again, tried with older drivers as well lasted a couple of minutes more but again went back to getting a solid color. Things i have tried and checked: -I checked temps and they are just fine, around 30c on the memory and on the chip around 29c. -checked with a different HDMI cable same issue. -tried a different screen still having the problem. Can anyone tell me why would this happen out of nowhere? I'm just not able to buy a new graphics card at the moment and more with the exorbitant prices of them at the moment, and not looking forward to getting a new one.

Hey all, I was playing a game earlier today when my computer completely shut off. Afterwards it would make no visible attempt to boot aside from the mobo lights turning on. No fans. Took it apart. Isolated it to the GPU. At some point smelled burning electronics and took it apart. I don't know what part this is, does anyone else? And is there a resource somewhere I can look to for future reference? I can take a picture of an intact one. There are a couple around (at least what I think it is). I can provide other pictures as well.

Hi, everyone! Hope y'all are good. My story : My current build : My needs : My options : Not many reviews are available for all of them (some not at all) which made it pretty hard to pick one (especially that they are pretty pricey ) Please help me decide, based on Safety, Quality and "Longevity?" (a ranking sorta of thing, or some general advice) Thank you all in advance :)).

Hello linus tech tip forum. I have a weird problem and i don’t know if the solution i’m thinking of is possible however it’s worth asking. Basically i have a hp 2060 super which is a single fan card and i am looking for a solution to make it cooler and quieter; possibly without underclocking. I have been looking at ways to replace gpu coolers and have come across some diy fan installs on the card and some nzxt aio gpu cooler. However i haven’t found anything about wether it is possible to move a gpu psb into a different cooler. I have found a complete evga xc 2070 cooler on ebay and i’m wondering if it would work with my hp pcb. The cooler is double the size of the pcb so that could provide some difficulty. However from my basic knowledge i am aware that the cooler has to be perfect for the components on the pcb etc for it to be effective at cooling. I am unable to find any pictures of the pcb from the inside however i’ve found some from the outside. Any advise will be appreciated.
