Dears, I obtained recently RTX 3070 EVGA FTW3 GPU. (removed the old drive using DDU tool) Since then whenever the monitors goes to sleep, the moment it wakes up the main screen goes like on and off for multiple times and eventually powers on after few seconds. My monitor has G-sync feature on it and I could see Nvidia message from task bar saying "G-sync connected" while in control panel I disabled it. I am running least driver but the issue keeps going regardless to the driver version I got. My monitor is ASUS ROG PG278QR Any suggestions?

I tried a search before posting, mostly because my attempt at video is embarrassing. Regardless, there were plenty of cases that talked about fan issues but none seemed to cover what I noticed here. I only noticed this happening as my fans were rubbing on my power cable and made an audible click. I looked down to see both fans cycling like this, where they would attempt to spin, make roughly 2-3revolutions and come to a stop that almost resembled a wobble (likely just due to magnets in the motor, but I'm speculating). It is a new to me, but used card. Evga 1060 6gb ssc. Is this a typical behavior, sign of a failure, or all together just a new oddity? T.I.A for any info, and sorry for the truly potato quality video. 20220601_205733_1.mp4

I've had my PC for almost 4 years, and it has worked relatively well since I built it. I am considering overclocking my CPU and GPU, although it might be best to just focus on the GPU (EVGA GTX 1060 6 GB) for now. My main reason for overclocking is to get better performance out of some VR games (I have a Quest 2 linked with a USB cable on SteamVR). I am very new to overclocking, but I believe I have a general understanding of the process. I'm just not sure which software I need, since there are several options as far as I know. Also, I did check the CPU and GPU overclocking databases, and did not see my CPU or GPU listed. I could add mine if everything works out well. If there's any specific software I should use, or any general advice, please let me know. Here is my parts list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Nm4Vz7

Hello, my PSU gives out no voltage to the cables and makes weird clicking/rattling noise when being plugged in. Is there an expert who, after watching this video of mine, can tell me what's wrong and how to proceed? The sound appears in all cases: without cables plugged in, with them plugged in, with mb cable and jumper, and all these combinations with the PSU powered (0/1) and eco ON/OFF. Cable is tested, it has a stable 238V, and other PSUs (600,850,1KW) powered via same cable showed no problems. The PSU is EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 GT 1000W 220-GT-1000-X2 The bridge is in the green (pwr on) and black (gnd) pins. I dont recall the situation when it started.

Hey all, so I’m in the process of my new build, just trying to find out the SAFEST most RELIABLE PSU for the build regarding power delivery and ‘supply’ for the build. the build: 12900KS 3090FE NH-D15 approx 10 noctua case fans (4) M.2 SSD’s with about (4) 2.5” SSD’s (2) mechanical HDD’s for storage. the budget isn’t a factor, just looking for what should be “enough, or a bit more than enough” PS: the only reason I’m going seasonic is because of how much Linus recommends it in his videos. No other reason. I would have easily gone with the 1600W EVGA if I had no other choice case: 7000D board: Z690 E Strix

This week I decided to do a teardown of some 1060s to do a thorough cleaning (rubbing alcohol and toothbrush) and apply fresh thermal paste. Though I have blown out dust many times before, this is the first time I have fully disassembled them. The main culprits are thermal pads which can seep over time and collect dust that cannot be blown away easily. Disassembly was very easy and everything was going as expected until I wiped away the old thermal paste. This revealed something I had never seen before The GPU die had marks on it. I have taken apart many GPUs before and I have never seen anything other than a mirror finish unless it had an IHS. Cleaning more of the board I came across more serious problem. Several resistors are damaged and I have no idea how or when this occurred. I was surprised to see this kind of damage because as far as I can tell, the GPU functions properly. The next morning I did some research to find out what this area was. It turns out to be the area for video memory voltage. The other interesting thing is that other PCB designs are lacking those resistors I have. It makes me wonder how necessary they are, but logically, I do not think time, effort, and money would be spent added something that was not necessary. https://repair.wiki/w/Vmem_Rail_on_Pascal_GPUs. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p_2_iCCesxI Another Buildzoid video revealed that overheating was a major EVGA issue back in 2016 due to lack of thermal pads. The EVGA solution was to add thermal pads and update the bios to adjust the fan curve. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QCuEUqHj_cU https://www.evga.com/thermalmod/ EVGA provided those solutions and "fixed" future GPUs form having the same issue (or did they?). My GPUs were manufactured after this issue became known. My model and serial numbers are not listed on the EVGA page as being affected and I did have preinstalled thermal pads yet it seems to have the same issue still. BUT WAIT, IT GETS WORSE! I mentioned GPUs plural. Teardown of a second identical 1060 (serial number off by just a few digits) revealed the exact same issues. The same damage to the core and resistors. I have reached out to EVGA today, but I do not expect a favorable response since they are out of the warranty period. Both GPUs are functioning, but the resistor damage makes me think there might not be a lot time left. I will probably attempt a repair like Rossman since I have enough junk that I can get some donor resistors from, but if that fails, then my boy's gaming days are not going to be enjoyable since my backups are a 550ti and 560ti.

Hello, I was lucky enough to get the EVGA RTX 3060 for $380 a few months ago. I also signed up to get the EVGA RTX 3060ti and today they told me that I have one. The price for that one is $530. I just want to know if it is worth getting, and upgrading from the one I currently own. Thanks ;)

Hello everyone. I am having a tough time finding comparisons and recommendations between these units. I have found that that EVGA G6 is based on a Seasonic unit, but i cant find reviewers recommending or even comparing the newest corsair rmx and the newest evga g6. Do any of you have experience with these unit? these will power a 3080ti and a ryzen 5800x

I am NOT pirating or trying to anything illegal just looking for help. So I just got a capture card (EVGA XR1 Lite) to use for streaming video games and my lectures (teacher). I thought everything was supposed to be plug and play but when I created the scene in OBS the all that comes up is a big ole 'HDCP'. I have an AMD rx5700 in which I have now disabled anything to do with HDCP and the problem still persists. I hooked up my gopro and it worked fine but when i hooked it up to my gaming or streaming pc it would not. Thank you.

Is Corsair CX Series 650 Watt 80 Plus Bronze or EVGA 650 Bq, 80+ Bronze 650W, Semi Modular better? I am planning on upgrading my power supply to 650 watt and don't want anything over 60$, which one of these choices is better? If you want to recommend other PSUs under 60$, that would be okay. I have a segotep 650w 80+ gold psu and it didn't come with a PCI-e 6+2 (8 pin) cable I recently bought an EVGA Geforce 1650 sc ultra and I can't use it until I have the proper cable, would it be okay if I used an EVGA PCI-e cable? https://www.evga.com/products/product.aspx?pn=W001-00-000168

I was fortunate enough to come into a small amount of money recently so I went ahead and ordered the new PSU along with the GPU. Since those parts were brand new I decided I should go ahead and tear it down and do a deep clean on it since I never put the side panels on because I knew if I did I would procrastinate and not get it completed. I received the parts on Friday afternoon and about 6:30 I went ahead and got started with the redux of the build. Well about 12 hours later I was finally finished everything, I know you're thinking 12 hours goodness gracious LMAO, I'm disabled so I have to do things in spurts so I don't end up hurting myself any worse than I already am. I know I could use some 24 pin extensions along with the GPU cables, however, I actually love the way this looks because it doesn't look like everyone elses. A little caveat also is my name is Thomas and of course my screen name and nickname being TubbyTubb I know it's gonna sound corny but I love how the GPU cables and the water lines sort of make a big T, like I said corny LMAO. I apologize ahead ahead of time for there being so many links but I have an 108MP camera on my phone and the files are very large so I couldn't just drag and drop them in the box like I did the main picture I used to give y'all a glimpse of what you would see. I welcome any and all critiques and constructive criticism. The only thing I ask is for nobody to be rude because it doesn't look the way you think it should look. This is what I was able afford so I done the best I can. Some of y'all may have seen my other post in the custom loop section. I am planning on water-cooling both the CPU and GPU I'm working on getting all of the required parts to do that in the fairly new future. A couple or friends are sending me an EKWB EK-Quantum Velocity RGB CPU block for free and the other is sending me all of his bending, deburr tool, tube bending tools as well so I don't have to buy everything just to do one rig. I will probably invest in some of my own in case I get an order for me to build someone a system. Here are the pics: Completely finished This was when I originally "completed" it last year This is right after I tore it down you can see it obviously needed a good bath Of course I had the best helper/supervisor you could ask for LMAO I know my cable management isn't the best on some of them I was length restricted Let me know what you think please. THOMAS

Hey guys, i found a UDS 100 difference between a 3060 from EVGA and a Palit one (this one is the cheapest) my plan its to have the card from at least 4 years or more but i have concerns about Palit, i don't know so much of the brand and i don't know if it worth to pay the 100 bucks more for the EVGA card, i'm not planning to make any overclock or something like that, juts plug and play.

Hello linus tech tip forum. I have a weird problem and i don’t know if the solution i’m thinking of is possible however it’s worth asking. Basically i have a hp 2060 super which is a single fan card and i am looking for a solution to make it cooler and quieter; possibly without underclocking. I have been looking at ways to replace gpu coolers and have come across some diy fan installs on the card and some nzxt aio gpu cooler. However i haven’t found anything about wether it is possible to move a gpu psb into a different cooler. I have found a complete evga xc 2070 cooler on ebay and i’m wondering if it would work with my hp pcb. The cooler is double the size of the pcb so that could provide some difficulty. However from my basic knowledge i am aware that the cooler has to be perfect for the components on the pcb etc for it to be effective at cooling. I am unable to find any pictures of the pcb from the inside however i’ve found some from the outside. Any advise will be appreciated.

Hi i have a Build with iCue and Asus Strix Z690-A Gamming D4,and EVGA GPU RTX-3070 TI FTW3 I just discovered the ARGB Header from the GPU and my question is about that Header ,What Would happen if a I conect the header to one Mobo ARGB Header? Would I able to control the GPU 's RGB via Armoury Create or I would burn something?

So for context, a week ago I woke up to my 1070 being completely dead in the water (no fans on boot, no display, no detection). I tried it in multiple different computers, and the result was the same. I believe its something with the power management (as I could plug the fan shroud into another 1070 pcb and it would work just fine), but I do not know. Are there any places in Toronto that can potentially repair it? (I have no warranty as it was bought in 2016)

Previous System: Ryzen 5 5600x EVGA Geforce GTX 980 SC x570 Aorus ELITE WIFI New System: Ryzen 9 5900x EVGA Geforce GTX 980 SC <------ Broken x570 Aorus ELITE WIFI I swapped my old 5600 for a new 5900. When the computer booted it asked me to reset itfx??? or something like that i forget the exact name. I thought it was because it wanted me to update the bios considering it was asking me to do so because a new cpu was detected. I declined and it came back. Since it warned me to disable bitlocker and my pin before doing so, i powered down my pc and swapped back to the 5600. This is where my nightmare began. I turned the pc back and my screen remained blank. at first i thought i bricked my motherboard, but since all my rgb was coming on, i figured it wasn't the issue. So i started troubleshooting parts and when i swapped out my gpu the login screen came up. I went ahead and re swapped the cpus and and reset itfx??? GPU still doesn't work. Tried redownloading the drivers, they don't detect the gpu. currently have them installed like this

Hey all, I was playing a game earlier today when my computer completely shut off. Afterwards it would make no visible attempt to boot aside from the mobo lights turning on. No fans. Took it apart. Isolated it to the GPU. At some point smelled burning electronics and took it apart. I don't know what part this is, does anyone else? And is there a resource somewhere I can look to for future reference? I can take a picture of an intact one. There are a couple around (at least what I think it is). I can provide other pictures as well.

Hi, everyone! Hope y'all are good. My story : My current build : My needs : My options : Not many reviews are available for all of them (some not at all) which made it pretty hard to pick one (especially that they are pretty pricey ) Please help me decide, based on Safety, Quality and "Longevity?" (a ranking sorta of thing, or some general advice) Thank you all in advance :)).

I've narrowed my choices of new PSU down to the EVGA P+ 1300 and the Seasonic Prime 1300 Gold as they both seem good and I can get them for about the same price. Which of these would you go with and why?
