Hey guys , I have found the EVGA RTX 3070 FTW3 Ultra and the MSI RTX 3070ti VENTUS 3X OC in around the same price (Evga is a bit cheaper at 600€, msi is the cheapest 3070ti in my country at 630€) . Do you think it’s worth it going for the ti or should I stick with the Evga ? I’ve heard some bad things about the ventus cards . Thanks !

Hey All, I am reaching out in hopes someone can shed some light on my concern. I recently updated my gpu from a evga rtx 3060 to a xfx rx 6800. Coming from a standard 8 pin connection to a 16 pin connection,2x 8 pin. My power supply is a evga 750w semi modular. There are 3 internal cables. 1 - 24pin, 1- cpu cable and 1- braided pci-e cable. I used this braided pci-e cable and then attached 1- vga cable as shown in image. My question is. Is this okay? is this safe? I'm getting mixed views on this. Some say not to use pci-e braided and just use two vga cables that match instead. Others say ditch the vga cable and just use the 1 braided pci-e cable and attached the other 8pin connection that hangs off it it. Videos from Robeytech and Jayztwocents don't recommend using the daisy connection on the pci-e cable. I just want to make sure my power supply or the connectors won't melt or cause serious issues. I appreciate any help. Pics and specs below. Corsair 5000D airflow, Ryzen 7 5800X3D, Corsair H150i Capellix, 32gb DDR4 Corsair Vengeance rgb. Asus Tuf B550m-plus wifi

Just doing a upgrade on my sons PC as he brought a RX6700 and only had a 500W PSU so got him a modular EVGA 650 B5 and got myself another one for me for upgrade later in the year. Plugging it into the PSU Test and its comes all the voltages are fine green lights all round but the PG reading is Zero and its flashing and bleeping. Tried it on normal and ECO model and still get the same. All cables plugged in Mobo/CPU/VGA/Sata/Molex even the floppy so though I would try the other one I brought and the same thing happens with that. Having both PSU's do this brand new same out the box, surely they both can't be faulty. I've tested an old Coolermaster 500w with the tester and all is good with that went back to the EVGA's and still the same issue. Don't know if its because of something specific EVGA have done with the circuitry with it being Modular and having the ECO mode which is messing the readings up on the tester as its just a bog standard PSU Tester. If anyone can help that would be perfect

Honestly, how many % is that better? i think a looser 3080 is like 15% better (just guessing but framerates dont look so hot) so how much better would the K|NGP|N be?? ps: oh, gawd , do i need a new PSU? then it might not be worth it lol... oof. edit: well, i could power limit it, even though that defeats the purpose (kinda) but im still curious, how much does it really perform better? i can't find benchmarks, all im finding is the infamous 4x 1080ti's lmao

Hey guys, I'm helping my friend get his PC upgraded and he bought a new EVGA 1000W power supply. However, whenever we turn it on it sounds like it's cranking before starting. I've never heard this before, and the PC still POSTs and boots into Windows but it's got me suspicious that he might need an RMA. Can you guys advise? Here's a video of me turning on the PC: https://photos.app.goo.gl/QF66bCtfXA1bAAvo9. For reference, I am not repeatedly pressing the power button, but instead am holding it until the PC actually turns on. If I let go of the button before it fully turns on, it simply stops clicking and remains off. Thanks!

Can the fan shroud be removed without removing the heatsink from the PCB? And, what type and size screwdriver head do I need for removing the shroud? Just wanna know in case I need to replace fans at some point.

So I saw this listing on newegg recently and thought it was pretty insane. I know Maxsun is an asian based company I believe based in china but I have no idea how good or reputable their GPU's are. I recently bought an evga 3070 ftw3 ultra for about $600 but was thinking about returning it if this deal is real. Anyone thoughts on this?

A:Boot, VGA, DRAM, CPU in order from left to right. VGA and Boot come on then go off. Q: If the CPU has integrated graphics and you plug directly into the MOBO does the display come up? A: yes it does, he tried the HDMI and display port and no dice He got it to come on to the bios for a moment when the hd that had the boot files was out of the system, he tried turning it off and back on with it still out and the bios wouldn't show again. Hi everyone, after a long time of running a gt710 I finally have the opportunity to upgrade to a GTX760. However, I have noticed that my PSU has only 2 extra molex connectors, and the GPU has one 6-pin and one 8-pin connectors. Would it be possible to run just the 6-pin, and leave the 8-pin unpopulated? Alternatively, could I run a 6-pin and an 8pin adapter off just 2 molex? I should note that I don't have the GPU yet, I've got an opportunity to buy it though.

A recent PCMag news has revealed that EVGA is planning to exit from the GPU market. They hold Nvidia responsible for this decision as it found Nvidia's gesture disrespectful to its stakeholders. They reportedly claimed that Nvidia refuses to reveal the basic pre-launch information essential for making the GPU. This even include the cost of GPU production as well. However, EVGA said that they'd produce the previous gen GPUs and would be providing after sales service to their existing customer but won't be producing any new gen cards like 4090. Summary EVGA won't be producing any new gen cards but will provide after sales service to their existing customers. They'll as well produce the previous gen cards and continue their remaining product lineups except the GPU. Quotes My thoughts EVGA, in my opinion, is one of the finest GPU producers out there. It's really sad for us, the consumers that we're not going to get their premium GPUs in the future. But I really wish both the companies (EVGA & Nvidia) sorted this out as it would be heavy on EVGA as well. This is because EVGA themselves revealed that their GPU lineup was generating almost 78% of their total revenue. Hi, I have problem with my EVGA RTX 2080 Ti Black Edition (With EKWB full block + backplate). Black screen appears when gaming for few minutes. Seems to be related to temperature. Hotspot temp raises to 107 c and memory temp 102 c while overall GPU temp is ~ 85 degree. I have also i5-11600k cpu with EKWB Nickel block. Is 2 * 240mm radiators little too less for this setup? Or is the GPU faulty? I've replaced thermal pads and paste without any luck.

Hi, I was lucky to get an Evga card during the gpu shortage and bought the 3060 ti from them for $530. My friend is selling a pc he bought and it has an RTX 3070 ti Founders card. He is willing to trade for my gpu and a case. Would it be worth it for the upgrade? I know Evga is out of the pc space now so it may make my card worth more, I also heard that the cooling on the 3070 ti FE was bad. I need help with this today. Pleaseee thanks current pc: ryzen 7 5800x - evga3060ti - 16gb ddr4 ram - 750psu

I bought the EVGA Z20 when it came out originally. Since buying it, I've had nothing but issues even after doing an RMA. The keyboard works great for a few months, then the keyboard will freeze while typing and shut itself off. The only way to get it to work again is to reach behind my computer to unplug the USB cables and plug them back in. I've used different USB ports to see if it was an issue with the ports, but it still does the same thing. After doing my last RMA I received what I "think" is a refurbished version, except this one has squeaky keys and keys that get stuck when pressing them. It is also having the same issues as the original one. TLDR: This keyboard has sadly been junk. Does anyone have good recommendations for mechanical keyboards used for gaming and typing? I'm going through videos from LTT but there's a lot to go through. There aren't any reviews that take place after months of use either, so I'm looking for first hand recommendations from keyboards that have weathered use and still perform great.

Summary EVGA is done making GPUs for NVIDIA, not only that, no more GPUs at all. GPUs are 80% of their revenue, (though not profit) so this will be a massive downsize. EVGA has no current plans to work with AMD or Intel for GPUs. There will be NO EVGA 40 series cards on the market. EVGA has felt Nvidia has treated them so poorly as of late, that they feel that this is not a financial decision, but a principle one. EVGA has no idea how much they are spending on chips until the MSRP is dropped, let alone the MSRP, making it impossible to engineer boards when costs, revenue, and profits are unknown and impossible to forecast. Founder edition cards from Nvidia cannibalize partners markets, and they are unable to compete on price, with partners already often losing money at MSRP making them unable to match price with nvidia. Much of EVGA's complaints match the same complaints other OEMs have been making that many of us have heard through rumors. Many times partners like EVGA learn about things when the press does, such as performance even, as they do not get drivers. Quotes My thoughts I have been an EVGA fanboy for a long time, I have only purchased GPUs from them since the 9600 GSO, which locked me into Nvidia. I dont know where I will be sourcing my GPUs from now on. Sources

UPDATE (9/22): GPU arrived back from manufacturer (Gigabyte) after receiving repairs and is no longer producing issues during some initial stress testing. They did not specify where the problem is but it did appear to be board level as it looks like it was opened. If this occurs again, I will update further. I've been dealing with this issue for like a week now and have exhausted all of the obvious troubleshooting steps and suggestions I've seen, though this is my first build so I'm probably missing something. I'm very frustrated by this situation and could really use help in determining my next steps. The issue is fairly easily reproducible: upon running any application with a significant GPU load (been using Unigine Superposition at 1080p Extreme, which should not be straining the card beyond its limits, but also occurred on the title screen of Stray and booting into FFXIV), the screen will begin to have parts of the output flicker a green color while still running for an indeterminate amount of time, before hanging on a pure green screen (not the Windows Insider GSOD, just like pure green). The system will then reboot itself. This has not occurred on the desktop for me at all and will sometimes even occur on the loading screen. In the Event Viewer, I see a WHEA message about a "Cache Hierarchy" error on what's usually a different CPU core each time. Things I've tried so far without success: -Did memcheck -CPU benchmarks do not cause this issue, only times when the GPU is under load. Cache hierarchy error seems to be a CPU fault but this doesn't really make sense with the symptoms. -Tried dumping logs or minilogs but nothing appeared- this doesn't generate anything seemingly -Disabled any undervolts, overvolts, XMP, etc. -Wiggled power cables to make sure they weren't slightly loose (some were but no change) -Swapped from rabbit ear GPU cable to two separate VGA cables (this made it worse seemingly but it's been inconsistent?) -Updated BIOS Steps I can't take currently: -This is my first desktop so I can't try swapping the GPU or CPU around to see if it's the issue which would make this much easier to debug. I don't think anyone locally can spare a GPU that would draw a similar amount of wattage either. -Can't swap PCI-e slots due to motherboard design blocking 16x cards from fitting in 8x slot. This unfortunately began like two weeks after the return period, so I'm going to have to use the manufacturer warranty on anything I wanted to replace (I would have already returned the GPU otherwise). The three most likely potential culprits from what I can tell are GPU, PSU, or motherboard. The GPU seems most likely as this error only occurs when I run GPU related tasks and there seem to be other people who have had this issue, but the WHEA issue does potentially suggest that there could be a power delivery issue that's being triggered by the GPU drawing more power than the board can provide (or it could just be shorting and doing the same thing). While I wouldn't admit this on the warranty, I did drop a standoff screw on the motherboard once or twice (my old iFixIt kit was on its last legs and I recently replaced it) and had noticed instances where I found small black debris after handling it- I was nervous so it's possible there could be a missing component off the board. Hey! So while working on a retro gaming build, I've been having one of the weirdest issues I've ever ran into: my Asus P5Q-EM DO uATX motherboard outright refuses to post with an nVidia GeForce GTX 285 specifically. The card works with another slightly newer asus mobo, the M5A97 R2.0, and the board works with both onboard and with a Radeon HD 5450. Bios is the latest version - 1301, released in 2013(beta). CMOS clearing also didn't work. I hit the power button, all of the fans spin up(including the gpu's blower, and the led turns green) and the cpu fan revs up to full speed and never slows down. No beeps, no error code, the power button led never turns on, a bit of hdd activity for a couple seconds and then nothing, and no video signal. My specs: Core 2 Quad Q9650 @ 3Ghz Deepcool GAMMAXX 400 with 120mm fan Thermaltake Smart 80+ Gold 600w psu EVGA GeForce GTX 285 1GB

I have a ryzen 3400g and as much as I been enjoying 720p low/medium and vega 11 I would like to have a graphics card so now I want to know what gpus would not bottle neck the most for my cpu. But also I would like to go a 6600 because its currently for sale at micro center for $300 and it would be a good pick whenever I upgrade to a pcie 4 motherboard but at the same time when I was running my brother's rx 580 8gb there was a cpu bottle neck in far cry 6 and so it stayed at 60-70 fps so for all of that I could just get an evga rtx 2060 6gb sc 650 80+ PLATINUM and a evga capture card for 23 cents for $310 . now the diy evga bundle has a new psu and I would get a rtx 2060 and a capture card for the same price for a rx 6600 . thank you for coming to my ted talk
