Edit: I am referring to loot boxes here, not microtransactions. Specifically I am questioning if it matters whether or not the "loot" is cosmetic only, makes it gambling. Personally I think the only argument for cosmetic loot from loot boxes not being gambling is "it has no inherent value" which is sort of a bad argument since you'd be saying it's not worth money anyways. Full Disclosure: I am 100% anti-loot-boxes, and 100% anti-micro-transactions if they in any way provide a benefit to the player. This includes "cosmetic only" microtransactions as they're generally speaking, important to most online games. I don't want to look like everyone else in an online game. I want my Sith Lord to look rather unique and menacing EA *continues rambling for quite some time about how EA completely f**king ruined SWTOR....the bastards.... How would I travel with a graphics card from the US to Europe with as few problems as possible?

So I've been trying to get my NAS/home server build going for the longest time, but I'm stuck at choosing the right case. It's going to be sitting next to my TV in my studio appartment so I'm trying to go as small as possible while having the most possible storage space available. I'm going to build it myself because the available small NAS options with at least 8 bays are either too expensive or too underpowered for my needs. I live in Europe so some of the options you guys have in the States or Canada might be either too expensive or unattainable for me. My requirements: Accessibilty: Case should have easy access for adding, removing or replacing drives. Size: Preferrably Mini-ITX or small MicroATX. Storage: At least 8 easily accessible (hot-swap) 3.5" bays or 6x5.25" bays. Cooling: The case should be able to offer good cooling for hard drives without modding it. Availability: Should be available in Europe but if it doesn't cost much then can be bought from abroad. What I've looked at: 1. Lian Li PC-Q25: It's available where I am but only has 5 hot-swap bays and I'm trying to go for at least 8. Otherwise it looks like a decent option although the price is a little hefty. 2. Lian Li PC-Q26: Seems like a perfect case with unique but ingenious drive mounting options but has been discontinued and has been impossible to find in stock. The price is high but it manages to do everything I want so it's acceptable. 3. Silverstone DS380: The size fits and has the right amount of hot-swap bays but the reviews seem to indicate that it has abysmal cooling without modding the hard drive cage. 4. Silverstone CS280: Size fits, but it only has 2.5" bays and also lackluster cooling. 5. U-NAS NSC-810A: Unavailable in Europe but otherwise seems to tick all the boxes (price with transport fees and VAT is close to 250€) 6. iStarUSA S-917: Size fits and good cooling can be achieved without modding. Doesn't have hotswap bays but has a lot of 5.25" bays which allow to fit a 5x3.5" hot-swap unit in 3x5.25" slots. However it is unavailable in EU. 7. Fractal Design Node 304: Size fits, can be cooled and has good availability in EU. However unlike many other builders I find the ease of adding, replacing and removing drives from this case to be a chore + it still has only 6x3.5" hard drive spots. 8. Fractal Design Node 804: Can fit 10x3.5" drives however for me it has the same problem that Node 304 had - replacing, adding and removing drives is a chore. Also it is a little bulky for what I had in mind. Otherwise has a good build quality, plenty of cooling options and is readily available in EU. 9. Norco ITX-S8: Size fits, has the right amount of bays, cooling is decent... but cannot be found in Europe. Do you guys have any suggestions for a NAS case that matches my requirements? I also wrote to Lian Li to just check if they have any PC-Q26 leftover but haven't heard back from them. Their facebook "Lian Li HQ" answered that there is nothing left. Thanks in advance!

Greetings from the EU/Bulgaria, I have recently decided to build a PC and now the GPU prices seem reasonable despite ram not budging at all. I plan on using the PC for some video editing and rendering, playing some games and some other things that would utilize the GPU a bit more. For now i have bought the EVGA 1080TI (11G-P4-6593-KR) for around 750 eur with vat and shipping. and i am planning on getting the 8700k for 355 eur. The things im having difficulty are the motherboard, cooler and power supply. For now i the parts i have been looking at are: Motherboard: MSI Z270 tomahawk (100 eur) Cooler: Cooler Master MasterLiquid Lite 240 (57 eur) Power Supply: Cooler Master V650 (105 eur) Ram: Corsair Vengeance LPX 2 sticks of 8GB running at 2400Mhz dual channel (175 eur) And the strangest part of this build is this: M.2 Samsung 850 EVO 1TB MZ-N5E1T0BW at the surprisingly low price of 150 eur. The major hurdle that i was faced with is that importing anything outside the EU is awfully difficult because of the bureaucracy and other silly taxes that add up, not to mention 15 days delivery time. Then there are only a couple websites and sellers that ship outside Germany and the United Kingdom and a lot of products are not available here, for example its quite difficult to find economically viable DIY water cooing supplies. My main concerns are the motherboard, SSD and power supply. Frankly for me motherboards are a total mystery. Cheap one Expensive one whats the difference? For me an gigabit Ethernet port and good build quality is all that i need. The SSD's price seems suspiciously low, scouring the internet i found something about a driver and not wanting to work with PCIe, which is kinda illogical because its M.2. And what i know about power supplies is that their quality is measured by their weight. Some background, I have worked for some time in a IPS/computer repair shop, but that was mainly reinstall window XP, clean for the first time 10 year old pc's and reapply thermal paste. My responsibilities were to install fiber optic cables to the users, create electric panels and many other things. Ohh if you ever tough the pay was good well it will shock you to know the salary was 300 euro. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Greetings everyone. After a year of putting it off and seeing the glory of crypto currencies rise and fall, I finally decided to build my new ascending machine... Long story short, I plan to start with one 1080p@144Hz and then later on getting another monitor, possibly 4k with moderate performance at 60Hz. I wouldn't really like to go above 1400EUR, but I am reasonable person who can see the benefits of paying a bit more now for better value down the line. Please ignore my hideous attempts at implementing RGB and color matching. I am open to suggestions (preferably something green, blue, or both). The memory in the list is the first one I found with blue RGB in my local store so I put it there. I am planning on making my first custom water cooling loop. It comes as no surprise to me that this will be expensive. However, in Sweden (where I currently live) there is basically only one proper seller of custom water cooling parts, and safe to say, the prices shows that they pretty much have a monopoly here in Sweden. Plus EVERYTHING is more expensive here in the Nordic countries! So I want to know if anyone knows a reliable and cheap(er) store for water cooling parts in EU that also offers EU-shipping? I found a really well-priced store in the Netherlands, but they of course only shipped to Netherlands and Belgum.

A bit of an odd topic, but it seems that non-quartz clocks in Europe are running at least 6 minutes slow due to tiny fluctuations in the 50 Hz frequency of the European power grid. The original article on npr.org (here's the link) states that the reason is actually somewhat political: I didn't realize that some electric, non-atomic clocks even used the power line frequency as an oscillator, but I guess it makes sense. Quartz-movement master race, anyone? Anyway, it seems that once the electrical issue is (ahem) rectified sorry, the clocks should begin to reset themselves. I think it's always very interesting how political issues play into technological issues (timezones and software localization are great examples). It's a shame that an issue like this can cause such a real-world technological consequence, but I suppose it's a better side effect than warfare. Anyone else have any stories/examples from history where a similar kind of thing happened? I'd be interested to hear!

Hello community, I just wanted to ask what your update experience to oreo with the axon 7 is. I know that zte used the US as their betaprogram for oreo and promised that for example Germany would get it too in april, but now it's already may and I haven't seen anything from them(everytime I checked for updates it did say that it couldn't reach the server). Maybe they are still fixing bugs but I wanted to ask if someone has more information about the launch. Also there is something strange going on with the zte website and it's forum. Everytime I search for a forum threat it just prompts me back to the main page and it says literally nothing.

Take this with a grain of salt as this information might change. Do apoligize if this is not the correct forum for this, but I felt like some information would be usefull to those wanting to buy a new GPU here in Europe. And since I work in retail (not gonna go into details) I have plenty of early access to tech and information on upcoming prices. Yes, the prices are set weeks before they hit the shelves in the stores. Anyway, unlike in America, our prices stayed somewhat stable for a longer perion of time. And most of us saw a huge spike only 2 or so weeks ago. But that's about to change as the distrubutors/wholesalers have ALREADY set the prices 20%-30% or in some rare cases even higher for pretty much every model before their arrival into the stores in about a week. Please note that I rounded up the prices to the nearest 50 as different companies have different prices but they all stay within that 50 Euros range. As for the general consumer this means that the prices that you might see in the stores will be higher by about 200-400 Euros, after retailers and stores set their own prices. Bottom line is: buy a pre-built system... I get shivers saying this.

As the title says. But Casual and Competetive modes go. I have the global version so can play on any server. My time however is limited to after work hours: ~1PM-6PM Monday-Friday EST. No toxic players! I am not a noob, but I will not take a game as if it's my life. My battletag is NMS#21608 Though be aware that I might not be online all the time, since in order to switch between friends lists, I have to log out of the client and re-log into the proper server. Mostly am online though on EU.

Google has announced at the DNI summit that Google Assistant will become available for Western Europe in 2018 at the DNI Summit in Amsterdam. This was shown on a slide during the summit that showed planned availability for the Google Assistant in 2018. The Map showed that the support for the assistant as planned for 2018 will be in or coming to: North America Middle America South America Western Europe Russia Saudi Arabia India and more... With this the supported languages for the Google assistant will almost triple from the current 8 supported languages. Hey LTT community, My laptop i've had for several years caught fire due to a bad DC-socket connection, so I need a replacement. I need your help for a new high-end laptop. Most sites already offer 3840x2160 displays, but I don't really see the point of having such a resolution on a 17" laptop. I've seen American/Canadian sites offer 1080p 120Hz displays, but these are not found on European ones (I'm from Belgium). Are there any European online shops that allow configurations with 120Hz displays, or American/Canadian shops with a European center to avoid import tax?

I have a Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 and a GTX 960 Strix 2Gb I want to get a total of 8gb of ddr2 ram on the system but here on website like ebay theres not ddr2 2gb cheap. I found cheap ddr2 ram on Aliexpress, but its a shaddy kingston, its kingston but not a kingston! Do you guys know any online website where can i get DDR2 4x2Gb of ram i need 8GB. Hey guys, I plan on building a gaming pc for around 800 dollars (http://pcpartpicker.com/p/NZ8RLk) but when I wanted to check out on newegg, it turned out that I had to pay a total of 500 dollars of shipping :0 I live in the Netherlands, and I wanted to know if there are some webshops that have reasonable international shipping prices. if the shipping prices are under 200 dollar total it is still cheaper then the dutch site (keep the possible price increase in mind please).
