Recently moved into a new house, and this place needs a beefy WiFi setup. The house is 3 floors high, and made of concrete, including the walls. I wanna have 3 routers, 1 for every floor so that I can have good speeds and connectivity throughout. But I also don't wanna have to switch connections when I go from one floor to another, so I want them to be the same id and pass, kinda like how schools do it.. I don't have much expertise in this, but I think I'm adept enough to follow instructions. I mentioned the concrete because I will need a set up with good range to work thru these thick walls. Budget wise I'm thinking ~600$ ish for the whole thing. Also, I already have lan cables on every floor run through the walls, so I don't have to worry about that at least

I posted another topic related to this but no one replied. I'm having some issues with my audio setup and just want to see what other have done. How do you guys manage all of your audio? What is plugged into what? How do you manage having both a speaker setup and your headphones? How do you manage the audio from your consoles in all this too?

Hi, I am a teacher and I would like to record my lectures/lab experiments so that I can share with others and in the event something unavoidable happens, I can ask the students to view the podcast/video. Can anyone suggest equipment which I am missing/need to get. In order to save cost, I think I will list down things I have first: Video/Audio: Logitech C615 webcam Samsung Note 3 (hope upgrade to note 9) Sony RX100 mk IV Some tripods I think I need to get good mic? What about lighting? If possible, I want to record the podcast video while I give lectures so that I do not waste time recording the same stuff again Usually, when I give lectures, the lecture hall is dark at front in order to aid students to see the projected slides. I will then add the power point and as mall window cut-out of myself in it. Any strategies/equipment to add in order to make this work? Do I need to spend a lot of time post-processing?

Hello! I am getting a new computer soon, and recently I need a new setup vocal wise involving a microphone, mixer, etc. I understand small parts about a mixer, but I don't understand how I would go about setting it up. First, I am not buying anything as of right now. I just need help choosing a mixer and going about things. For the microphone, I have right now is an Audio Technica AT2020USB, and it has done wonders for the few years I have had it! But it is time to switch to a better microphone in a sense. I am thinking about getting this microphone (AT2020 Cardioid Condenser Microphone) but I either need a mixer or a power supply. As told it is 48V and needs a phantom power supply to work, but I want to use a mixer for audio production in music. I was told this mixer was too low of volts to support the Microphone I want. Would using the microphone work if I plug it into the power supply and then plug it into the mixer? I hope I didn't make this too complicated but I just have no idea how to go about this. Any help is greatly appreciated!

So we're opening an Internet Cafe/Print Shop, got everything almost ready, only to get stumped on the networking aspect. I don't know what equipment to buy for our setup, and networking is far from my forte. Some of my employees have better experience with it, but their butting heads on what equipment to buy( router, switch, wifi router). Including our computers, POS system, security cam setup, we currently have 13 devices that need to be hard wired. So at least 13 LAN ports and wifi access is required. Right now all we have is Comcast's modem and dodgy 4 LAN port router. Any suggestions?

Hi my name is Dj, and I'm very new to the forums around here. I'm looking to get some recommendations for dj style headphones that I could upgrade to in the near future. What I mean by dj style headphones are ones that fold 90° pass your ears and can rest at the back of your head. I'm currently using a pair of Bluedio Turbine Hurricane T2's. I've included an image for a frame of reference. To clarify I'm no looking for anything the folds inward, but if it happens to do that as well as folding backwards that's fine. I currently know about the Bluedio Turbine's, Monster Ocatagon's, and the Sennheiser HD 7 DJ's that I've seen Linus use before. I don't really mind on ear or over headphones, but I do prefer over ear headphones. If you can find anything with a black and red option that would be greatly appreciated, but solid black with some color would work fine. I'm not really looking to break bank on a pair of headphones, but I'm open to options. Thanks in advance for the help!

Hi! I am looking for a $350 or less camera that would be pretty good at getting general pictures, but also night sky. I'm not looking for nebulae pictures, just ones of the moon, landscapes at night, etc. Currently, the Sony wx500 looks great. The Sony hx50v that my friend has works pretty well also, but is out of my budget. NO DSLRs!

My Setup/Personal Rig, Location: Germany, Date of purchase: ~30.03.2011 Usage: I'm mainly going to use it for gaming and school, homework, office, internet research with a lot of tabs open at the same time. (A LOT ~400 with ~50 loaded all the time right now, Firefox sometimes blacks out and does some weird black flickering stuff and it lags quite a bit, give it more access to ram?) I was quite surprised when I couldn't run Tomb Raider 2013 at ULTRA custom settings and now GTA V since I'm running every other game at MAX ULTRA custom. (haven't tested Batman Series, Dirt 3, Dirt Showdown, Mad Max, Project CARS, Watch_Dogs, and so on. Crysis 2 actually works but sucks compared to 1 and Warhead) I want to be able to play every game at max. except maybe Tomb Raider, GTA V, Project CARS. I will play Elite Dangerous: New Horizons and plan on getting Imagine: Star Citizen as well as other games (obviously) I've got another MS DOS setup for the old games. Sound/Music processing where I already have the equipment but not the skill, so it can wait. For the future I want it to be able to do some mild CAD work. (maybe I'll already have my XL-ATX build ready then but that's not gonna happen anytime soon) Case: Thermaltake ArMor A60 VM2000 Series I need more/better fans for radiator and airflow Noctua NF-S12B redux-1200 PWM 13 € Suggestions! I've also looked at some Arctic fans that cost only about 7 € which is good for a lot of them, Suggestions! A fan controller Corsair Commander Mini 60 € with a Phobya PWM 8x 4Pin Splitter 10 € for important fans might be good to have. Suggestions! Motherboard: Asus P6X58D-E Pretty Solid performance and overclockability. CPU: Intel Core i7 950 @3,07GHz running ~3,2GHz Intel® Core™ i7-950 Processor (8M Cache, 3.06 GHz, 4.80 GT/s Intel® QPI) Do I need an upgrade/Is it even worth it/possible, Where can i find a better 1366 Socket CPU Suggestions! RAM: 2x Kingston HyperX DIMM 6 GB DDR3-1600 Tri-Kit ICIF7C | 12 GB Total maybe I need some more, Suggestions! Graphics Card: Gainward GeForce GTX 570 GS (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570) JCXWFO I'm pretty sold on the Nvidia Geforce GTX 970 Hybrid by EVGA, since it fits my budget with 400 €, (maybe get a cheap backplate) I wanted to run my old GTX 570 as a PhysX card but my brother wants to use it for his old PC instead of his Rog Laptop. I could save maybe 30 - 40 € but I'm willing to pay for the cooler card. Suggestions! CPU Cooler: Hydro Series H50 (775, AM2, 1366, 1156, AM3) HXLC9W I like my Stuff cool, even if it's possible to run at 200°C. (You burn yourself at 60°C so i like to stay below that) Harddrives/Systemdrive: 2x HD103SJ 1 TB (1000 GB) AEBU11 1 Data Drive, 1 System Drive Need More Space for Backup of dying external Drives | Thinking of an 3+ TB HDD Drive with a good longlife around ~200 € or lower Suggestions! Need an SSD for the System and frequent games and stuff | Thinking of a good 250 GB SSD or a 500 GB SSD at a good price ~200 € Suggestions! Optical Drive: Samsung SH-B123L (12 x) CEBU52 Got some issues(can't write CD-R's/says damaged/not working clear/delete the registry?) maybe get another DVD Drive. Suggestions! Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate YOBMFP Not gonna downgrade to Windows 10 that's for sure. Power Supply: Enermax MODU87+ 700W Works well and has good support Montiors: 1. LG Flatron W2442PE 1920 x 1080p 59Hz 2. Medion MD9615 AF 1024 x 768p I got it from the trash so it's not the best but works quite well. Want 2/3 more Monitors for Triple Setup for Elite Dangerous and other Games, at least one more for now which I will find for free somewhere. Suggestions! Creative Fatality "Gaming" Headset Brennenstuhl Premium Line B 30000 Power Strip Future Equipment: Want to get a Hotas/Dual Joystick Setup with Pedals Thrustmaster Hotas X and either a Logitech 3D Pro or a Thrustmaster X55/X52 maybe a Stinky Board but at 79 € it's a little bit expensive but i might as well not safe there Want to get a Steering Wheel with Pedals Not a lot too look at at the moment so i will ask my brother for his Logitech Force Feedback FX Steering wheel and Pedals for Elite Dangerous. So to come to a Conclusion: It's going to get quite expensive, so my main objective is the new Graphics Card since that's a must. I've got Holidays for a week now so i wanted to get all the parts and planning during that time, at least the GPU and some Drives. If I've missed something important or something else hit me up. PS.: I might work on a pcpartpicker.com site but not at the moment so it could take a while (someone else do it?) PPS.: I will most times be available via the Steam Group Chat. The small business I work in have decided they are going to start doing seminars to attract more business. We need some decent quality equipment for the job, such as a projector, projector screen, and some nice wireless mics. I don't specifically know what the budget is with this, but they aren't going to be huge seminars with hundreds of people. If anyone has any suggestions on what lav mics and projectors that are good and inexpensive, please let me know. Thanks guys.

There is a new design post on RSI's website about how you'll be able to rent equipment starting with the next AC 1.1 patch. TL;DR version: You can earn Rental Equipment Credits (REC) by playing ranked AC matches (anything except Vanduul Co-Op and racing) and use them to rent equipment (ships, weapons, shields, etc.) for 7 days of log in (multiple log-ins on one day count as 1 day, not logging in for a whole Day will not decrease your rental time). You pay 10% of the price that it would be in UEC and renewal is 20% of that. (i.e. M4A Laser Cannon: 8,000 UEC; 800 REC. 640 REC renewal) Renewal can only be done 7 days in advance. CIG accounted for about 1800 REC per hour, so it would take you a hour of gameplay to earn 2 M4As. Rented equipment can be used AC wide but will not carry over to PU. Ships come with stock loadout.

I've been wanting to get a pair of stylish, yet good speakers for a while now. Mainly because I'm tired of being bound by a cord, when watching a movie with my headphones, but also to relieve my head of the clamping. Requirements wise, I just want them to be small, compact, and preferably 2.0. And of course, like every speaker, you'd want them to sound good/decent. This is what I've looked at so far: http://www.amazon.co.uk/LaCie-Speakers-Design-Neil-Poulton/dp/B001FA0FZE http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00544XKK4/ref=s9_simh_gw_p147_d9_i2?pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=0EZKVY18A3ZANP2XNR76&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=455344027&pf_rd_i=468294 http://www.amazon.co.uk/Creative-Inspire-T10-Multimedia-Speakers/dp/B000WQIKJ0/ref=lp_429889031_1_15?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1417552112&sr=1-15 http://www.amazon.co.uk/Creative-A60-2-0-Desktop-Speakers/dp/B003829J68/ref=sr_1_79?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1417552203&sr=1-79 http://www.amazon.co.uk/AmazonBasics-A100-USB-Powered-Computer-Speakers/dp/B00GHY5F3K/ref=sr_1_83?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1417552203&sr=1-83 http://www.amazon.co.uk/Edifier-Sound-Plus-Portable-Speaker/dp/B00812MKU2/ref=sr_1_120?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1417552232&sr=1-120 http://www.amazon.co.uk/Trust-Remo-USB-2-0-Speaker/dp/B005625WR8/ref=sr_1_149?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1417552315&sr=1-149

Hello, I have wanted to start a podcast for a while now and I'm not sure how to get started. My current Microphone is the AudioTechnica AT2020 XLR with a blue icicle adapter. I want to have multiple people on the podcast(2-4 people) and I want a setup that can accommodate for multiple people. I'm not sure if the AT2020 is the best microphone for podcasts. Another problem I found is when using the blue icicle there is a half second delay from when I speak to when I hear my voice through the headphones. I want to monitor the sound while recording but the delay is messing me up. I would like a list of equipment I need and if I should get(mics, mixer, stands, headphones, etc)( this is for 4 people). I would also like some tips on how to properly record the podcast. thanks for the help.
