Hello all, so we're working for a company that sends emails whenever a certain button is clicked in a program to mark when we are finished with a site. Previously this worked, but now the emails are not being delivered at all. I discovered that the reason is because of DMARC. Exchange is not delivering their emails because the sender does not pass DMARC verification and has a DMARC policy of reject. I have informed them that their security settings are messed up, but who knows if they will fix them and will instead shift the responsibility onto me. If that's the case, is there a rule I can create to allow emails from their specific domain to bypass the DMARC checks and send the emails along to their intended recipients?

So, just got my DS224+ for family photo only, as I was learning from YouTube, I got lost in the instructions tutorial, so I not paying attention that made me create one manual account Synology Account via iCloud email and then the other via the continuation of the setup that uses Apple ID by hiding my email. so how do we deal with it? Should we delete the Synology Account that uses a manual iCloud account or how?

Hello everyone! First time posting on LTT, so please excuse me if I miss anything. Recently I've decided that I would like to switch my web hosting provider as I am unsatisfied with my current provider - Namecheap. I've been using them for years, but over time their services have been degrading. The latest issue that has become "the straw that broke the camel's back" has been their email reputation - It has become absolutely awful, and I can no longer send emails to hotmail / outlook emails. I've checked my DMARC / SPF records and validated they are good; It appears that the Namecheap server IP address has been flagged by at least 1 spam list. I'm looking for a hosting provider that has the following services: Shared hosting I host multiple personal websites using PHP, JavaScript, and MySQL. I would prefer SSH access to be able to upload and execute PHP code on the server. Domain Registrar Ability to define custom nameserver's - I have a few domains configured with Cloudflare E-Mail Hosting Looking for the ability to create multiple email accounts with the registered domains, and setup forwarders + catch-all's I'm OK with the idea of splitting out my email hosting from my web hosting providers if needed. I've looked into using Outlook as my email provider but, IIRC, they're now only allowing you to setup 1 email per domain and no catch-all forwarders . Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

Hi all, I've got some devices on my LAN that I have blocked access to the Internet, but would like to let them send emails via Gmail (or another email service) I've spent hours faffing with Postfix and EXIM4, but have not managed to get anything working. I got closest with EXIM4, but it was complaining as it was unable to resolve my domain name. ( - I do have a domain, but I do not want to have to expose my server to the internet directly for this purpose and it's already being served by a mail server) I am looking for a solution that will: Receive emails from my LAN devices Send them to my public/internet email address via Gmail SMTP Run via Docker if possible Am I looking for something impossible? Does anyone know why the iPhone's built-in iOS Mail app only refresh for new emails when you enter the app or when you put it on a charger? It refuses to get new emails in the background automatically (unless you have it on a charger where it immediately gets new emails in the background without opening the app). I'm using a Gmail and also an IMAP (domain from one.com) accounts. Push is used as capture method from the server. This seems to be a very widespread issue considering the recent reviews of the iOS Mail app: https://apps.apple.com/se/app/mail/id1108187098 The reason why I can't use the Gmail app is because I prefer to have one mail app for all accounts and the Gmail app on iOS doesn't support Swedish Å Ä Ö for IMAP accounts since they get replaced with ? ? ? when sent to matter how you tweak the settings. Also I don't trust the security of third party mail apps.

Hi all, I just picked up a new Pixel 7 and loaded both my email accounts onto it. One is a gmail account and the other is through a different domain for work. I'm getting notifications just fine for my gmail account, but the other isn't working. Once I open the app and switch to that account all the notifications come at once, but never when the emails actually arrive. The account has notifications enabled and is set to sync, and I've already disabled battery optimization for the app. Any other ideas? I had no issue getting push notifications for both accounts on my old phone. Thanks!

Am I being paranoid. This afternoon I got an email to one of my not so regularly used email address from an old manager that use to contact me via that older email address. I still do talk to this person just during the winter due to career field. Without really looking to much into it I opened the email and clicked the link. The second I clicked the link chrome informed me that the site I was trying to access was not secure. Once I saw this, I backed out immediately and took a closer look at the email. No, I did not continue to the site. The sending email is not the correct email, the link is some random site that supposedly does image sharing. Either way I just need to know, does chrome block any/all activity to the unsecure site on my end unless I continue to the site itself, or is there damage already done.

I'm trying to login on my PC. I know my username and password for my google account, and I know I'm typing it in correctly. I'm looking at Recent Security Activity on my phone, and it isn't showing that I'm trying to login on my computer. It will send me 2FA prompts on my phone that I tap yes on, and nothing happens. "resend code" stays greyed out, and clicking "try another way" does nothing, doesn't change anything on the screen. But other things will show up in recent activity, for example, I never actually verified email B as a recovery email for email A, so I did that, and then "Verified Recovery Email 7:02PM" showed up in the recent activity box. I also went back to the original login page and hit "Forgot password" where it brings me to a screen with 3 options to verify identity, Tap yes on phone, get a text, or try another way. Clicking on any of them only highlights the choice and doesn't move forward to the next step. I can't seem to find any threads anywhere of someone with a similar issue. I've tried different gmail accounts, as well as Chrome, Firefox, AND Edge. At this point I'm thinking it might be something going on at Google and I just need to wait? Any tips?

Anyone running into issues with Yahoo mail today? I can not log in on my phone, and even after changing my password it says it is incorrect. And the recovery options either lead to an error screen for a website that is down, or tells me my recovery options are not there. Can't log in on my phone or in a private window. Thankfully I was logged in on my desktop, but support is only paid from yahoo...

Great idea for a video on taking back control of my data or securing my data. very much up LTT street. Okay I screwed up and my outlook account was hacked and while i got my money back i lost pretty much everything else. all my files including photos of my dead son. I lost not only my emails but also the email address's as well (thank god its not a work email, *shudder* my contacts and my calendar oh and my uni work(though i have no use for it now it still sucks) I managed to rescue some stuff as some of it was on different drives around my machines. anyway to the thing i need help on I have been bitten and now i want to control my data as best as possible. I want to house or at least have a downloaded copy of all my essentials. Here is a list of things I want to house on my home server i'm building with either an online copy or constant access to it. I prefer the idea that the main Information is housed on my server and there is a copy online which I can access anywhere. that way if something happens at home then i got a copy on something like google and a backup on my file storage. basicly i want 3 copies of all my information, Home, website and online backup. (eventually i intend to have a 4th copy in an offsite backup location like my parents house) Currently the list of important things I need help with are Email Access/storage: (also like the idea of emails coming dirrect to me instead of online service but I fear things like power cuts would make that less a good idea) Currently my domain is with godaddy and my hosting is with hostpapa and i can download a backup copy of my emails from there. I have my emails downloaded to thunderbird app. This gives me 2 copies and i can arrange to manualy download it for backup purposes. Is there a better solution? Contacts: Since I lost my contacts its been hard to function and i'm currently using the contacts CardDav that part of my hostpapa email. It currently downloads to thunderbird but I cant find a program thats free on android for my phone so I need a better solution. again i want to access my contacts on my pc, phone and have my normal backups. Calendar: well loosing my calendar data actually cost me money I missed out on so many appointments and software renewals that is not a joke. I'm currently using my wife's callendar but my email hostpapa also has CalDav which is supposed to be a calendar server i can access anywhere, except i only got it working on thunderbird. Tasks: I don't use tasks as much as I want simply because i have had so many problems accessing them on different devices quickly. as you may have noticed i user thunderbird alot and i love the app on my pc and steam deck(main portable device, I use the desktop mode primarily and it works great) however they are still working on a mobile app and have joined with another app developer but its going to be time before its all sorted. so please help me secure my data and files. I currently use a file storage site called Currys Cloud Backup. I think they use livedrive as there software (not sure) anyway i like the cost and the speed is okay, just wish it had a linux program. so to reiterate I need software that works on android, windows/linus(mac too for anyone else) a website backup like google/outlook (though out of principle i refuse to let micrososft have any more data of mine cause of the way they screwed me over) and server software for the server i'm building. (I havent decided what OS I'm going to use on the server yet, hell I'm not even sure if its going to be a raspberri pi or an old pc yet.) anyway any and all help would be greatly appreciated Kuzon

Heyo everyone! I've been trying to update all my credentials but I have an account on Garena tied to a very old Yahoo email that I can't log in. I don't want to lose all my years of progress on my LoL account there but customer services won't allow me to update my email unless if I can get back in to my Yahoo account. I've tried all the passwords and combinations that I can remember using but none of them seem to work. Unfortunately, I can't remember my answers to the security questions as well. Again, this is a very old email (close to 10 years I believe). Is there any hope of recovery here or is this just lost? Edit: As far as I can remember, I don't think my current email and phone number has been listed as recovery options as well since I tried them and didn't get any verification code.

Hi, So I've been doing a lot of research recently into smtp relay server, but none of the tutorials seem to be based on a real life scenarios, or I'm just completely missing something. Long story short, I'm the only IT guy in our company, and the manager asked me to set up smtp relay server, so we can use it to send password reset emails etc., as with the expected amount of them it'd be potentially blocked as spam or at risk of being delivered late. The company currently uses gmail for their emails, and has a free server in a cloud. The most useful thing I found is this: https://adamtheautomator.com/iis-smtp-relay/ but I just don't really get how it can work with gmail, where exactly do you put the credentials, how does it work exactly, are all emails diverted through this server somehow instead of going through google? Any info or links would be much appreciated! F

Unsure what subforum this belongs in as it might be Windows/desktop-related or it could be the apps themselves. I am not sure if these two issues are related, but they seem similiar to me and appeared roughly around the same time period (2-3 months back maybe). 1) I frequently upload and view gameplay clips in discord, both from myself and friends which makes me think it's unrelated to file type or some obscure rendering setting. Recently when I play these files in discord it begins to stutter and play sluggish after a few seconds. Never had any issues playing videos before but now it happens for pretty much every videofile. I was thinking maybe hardware acceleration had been turned off but it is still on, and that's how far my troubleshooting skills reach on this topic. Edit: After further testing I believe this only happens when viewed in fullscreen mode, which I always do as it is otherwise too small. This made me think maybe Nvidia Shadowplay was playing pranks, but turning that overlay off made no difference. Edit2: I've also noticed now that it only seem to happen on my side monitor. I have a Acer 32" Predator Z321QU for primary monitor and an older Acer XF240H 24" on the side. When I look at video files in fullscreen (otherwise they are too small to see) this happens on the side screen where I keep my Discord, but it doesn't seem to happen if I drag Discord onto my primary monitor and do the same thing there... I am completely clueless as to how that can be the case. 2) I use the default Windows email app for my two hotmail email accounts. Last few months this app has become really slow. Instead of the previously smooth experience I was used to it now takes 2-3 seconds after I click on an email for it to actually load, and the same "buffering" happens when browsing between inbox/archive/bin folders aswell. Similiar to the Discord issue it feels like the program isn't using my computers resources the way it used to. I do believe I also have a slightly longer boot time, but not to the point of that being a problem and my computer feels healthy otherwise. Any ideas? Specs: MSI Z390-A Pro 2080 Ti FE i7-8700k 2x8 Corsair DDR4 3200Mhz Vengeance Bitfenix Whisper M 750W Windows (and most desktop apps) are installed on a Samsung 970 EVO 1TB M.2

Hello, I will start this with some backstory of the event that happened. In the morning I powered on my PC and discord has automatically logged me out (I'm usually logged in automatically) and for my 5-6 years of using discord it has never logged me out. At first I thought nothing of it, later on I received an email from google that someone knows my password and I should change it, they said my password appeared in a non google data breach. This concerned me and also answered my question about my discord however although my email and discord emails are the same they do not share the same passwords. Overall I still didn't think too much of it, just a data breach, happens all the time now so i just changed my password and didn't think about it again. Later on in the day I discovered with conversations with my family that my mother, father and sister's email all had the same email from google that someone knows their password and should change it, also the email was sent near around the same time as each other. What worries me here is that this seems targeted, I mean obviously all our passwords are different, and the thing is that my email that was hacked is kind of a email I don't use, like I think I only signed up to discord and one other thing with it and that's it so I don't know where the data breach with my details are. Because even if it came from discord or the other website I used to register my email with, my other families members 100% haven't signed their emails to that service. This is all assuming that our details were involved in a non google data breach, since google told us this. Anyways, I just wrote this looking for answers, what happened, how could of this happened, is this a targeted attack against me and my family? I don't know why it would be, were not important or anything. Some extra details, when i was trying to find a common link to come up with an explanation, the thing that connects our emails together is that my mothers email that got hacked has emailed my email that got hacked and she has also emailed all my other family members who's emails got hacked. But my email (the one that got hacked) the last time she emailed me was a very long time ago and she has since been emailing my main email(the one that hasn't been hacked) Although this theory has holes in it since it doesn't explain how they knew all our passwords since they are all different. (this is also assuming that this is in fact how they found our emails) If you need any other details please ask, i want to get to the bottom of this. Thanks.

Currently on my desktop I use Evolution (Linux) as my desktop e-mail client. One of the accounts on it is a "receive only" account that's just linked to the internal email system, via dovecot/IMAP, of my home server (also Linux) so that I can see system alert messages in my inbox. I also have the same account set up using K9 Mail on my phone since I leave my phone connected to our at home VPN most of the time. Both programs work perfectly fine with this account. My question is this. Has anybody else managed to get Thunderbird working for this kind of scenario? I've tried setting up the account using the same settings I have in Evolution and K9, and Thunderbird will "say" connected, but won't actually list any folders or their contents, it just shows an empty "Inbox" folder and that's it. If I right click the account and click "Subscribe", again it'll say connected and when I click "Refresh" I get a very fast progress bar that disappears, but it never lists any folders. When setting it up I have to click "Manual Setup" and then "Advanced" to get it to accept the account without any valid outgoing credentials, so it might have something to do with that, I don't know. I rather like Thunderbird and would like to use it, but I can't seem to get it to connect to the system mailer on my home server.

Hello, My PGP key for one of my accounts stopped working while I was trying to draft a message. At first, the message said that my PGP key couldn't be located and thus my draft could not be saved (I believe I have all my drafts mandated to save as encrypted). I decided to delete the key from Thunderbird and try re-importing it. At first, it said the key had been imported successfully. However, when trying to select the key from my account page, nothing comes up. It's just blank. I quit Thunderbird several times and re-opened, only to get the same result. Now, after my most recent app restart, Thunderbird simply won't import my PGP key at all. Other accounts still have their PGP keys active, but not this one. I'm at a loss. Is anyone else experiencing this issue? Is this a new bug? I'm running the latest version of Thunderbird (91.8.1 (64-bit)) on macOS. I've attached images. Please help! Thanks!!

How does one transfer emails from Yahoo to Outlook. Is that possible with an email client, like Thunderbird?

So I've got a dedicated server at home, and I run several VM's on that for my friends. But, a couple of them want email servers... I have my own email server on a VM (@nikkiedev.com in this case). Each one of my friends have a website. For example, how would I create an email server for every one of their websites. So for example, have an email server for Hidden's vm (@hiddenslair.nl for website hiddenslair.nl) and for tijgersword's vm (@tijgersword.nl for website tijgersword.nl), yet still have my own domain as well on my own VPS? I use CloudFlare DNS, and can easily edit my records. I also have direct access to my Modem/router control panel. I don't use virtual domains, nor virtual users. I just want an email server per website (so per vm) How would I do this?

Hi, I use google chat (hangouts) gmail, my own custom email and telegram. Is there an app which combines all of them into one place. It has to be free and have a nice UI and if it was open source would be a nice thing but not necessary. (i don't mind having the emails separate.)

I'd like to have a second mail but without loosing my current one. I have a stupid email name and i want to change it but its already into many web and non web platforms(legal contracts that mails are being kept on sheets of paper OH MY GOD), so i have to keep it either i like it or not. So i would like to have an other mail name and have both the new and the old one on my mail feed without changing emails every time i want to check my mailfeed. So i would like to have my 2 mails being diplayed at the same feed at the same time when i open gmail for example. Any ideas? Thanks for your time.

Im helping out a client for restructuring their emails and files and I can’t seem to remember any services that can unsubscribe from multiple acounts (Ex. Magazine subscription, Spotify subscription, etc) and unsubscribe from newsletters. Anyone have various or one reliable website that i can use?

Hey guys, My grandpa has all of his emails 'stuck' in Apple mail. I'm not an Apple guy (also not a hater, yet), so I thought the usual 'just dragging e-mails to a folder' would work. It doesn't. Ctrl+click and exporting a mailbox also didn't work. After a few google-hours I became apparent that all normal export functions won't work because he has an email archive of about 85Gb... Which is way too big for Apple mail to handle. So I looked for the *.PST equivalent and found out it's a V4 folder. And indeed, that folder is about 85Gb. My idea was to upload that folder to my google drive, install mozilla thunderbird on my PC, create a gmail address for him, sync that in Thunderbird and import that V4 folder. But I wouldn't be posting here if that worked. Thunderbird can import mbox files, but somehow there are no mbox files in that V4 folder, but I can see all folders and subfolders he made. And they are called something like 'inbox.mbox'. All folders end with .mbox. I'm stuck, hope anyone can help. I just want to put all his e-mails in his gmail, keeping his folder structure.
