Since before the official lunch, i mean early access, that started more than a week ago the game just crashes in the loading screen when it launchs, using this somewhat recent GPU (AMD RX 7600). This is not normal, rigth? Do you think it will be propperly fixed and in a short time? It is the first time I bougth an EA game for pc, but is it normal for them to have these monumental problem and not fix them rigth away?

Hi! First post, and english is not my native language, so sorry about any poor grammar. Back in 2011, i bought Crysis 2 Limited edition on Steam, amazing game, and i have regularly downloaded and played it since 2011. Crysis for people who don't know, have its own serial verifier when you start the game, hence steam provides you keys to enter when launching the game. So the issue; The key have been used too many times, and that's fine in itself, i have bought multiple computers since 2011. But i have reached out to both EA and Steam, and they only blame each other, and says the other part have to provide a solution for me. For me it was a proper reality check, will this game that i have purchased eventually be unplayable? I have heard that the remastered version don't use the same serial checker, but for me its a matter of principle that i should have access to the game i paid 50 dollars for back in 2011 for as long as i want. at least as long as it exists on steam. quick note; i had this issue back in 2021 as well, asked EA and they fixed it, the ticket system at EA apparently don't handle old cases very well, so i can see the ticket, but all history (conversation, files etc.) are lost. But telling them that they took responsibility for this back then didn't make them change their mind. I have also reached out to Crytek themselves, awaiting a response. Glad i have physical copies of my very favorite games! Thought this could be more of a discussion topic than a problem/solution thing, but if anyone know what to demand from who to get this solved, I'd be very happy!

Hello! I've recently got a gpu upgrade from an RX 570 to an RX 6750 XT (Reference Version) as a gift. I play quite a few AAA titles here and there all I can say is that I can crank everything to max except for ray tracing of course. The problem is that whenever I play Apex Legends or Valorant, for some reason I would significantly notice stutters while I am in the actual game. However, when I try to play those games in their respective firing range the hitches seems to go away ever so slightly, it's still there but it's no longer that noticeable. I did a little bit research about my card in Youtube and found some benchmarks about my card and saw that they have a consistent 300fps in 1080p while I have about 165-250 here and there. My settings are in 1080p all low, both Anti-Aliasing as well as V-sync are off. Before installing the gpu, I also used DDU as a pre-cautionary measure as I've seen that previous driver settings might interfere with the newly installed card. I wanted to know/learn if the cpu is the one whose responsible for the stutters. I also wanted to know if there is anything I can do besides upgrading my cpu. Thank you for taking your time reading my lengthy paragraph and I hope to hear what you might suggest. Summary On the night of Wednesday, the Indian store of Epic Games accidentally changed the pricing of FIFA 23 Ultimate Edition to 4.80 rupees (~ $0.06). The changes were reflected on the website and users were able to successfully purchase the game for less than 10 cents. This issue lasted for approximately 2 hours before it was patched to the actual price. She hasn't played in a while, but trying to login, Origin said it couldn't find the account. She also disappeared from my friends list. She never bought a game, but she had a big library because of the On The House program. We contacted support and they said they couldn't do anything about it. She still had the welcome email but they said it didn't help.

I moved titanfall2 from my external drive to my internal game drive today. I had stored it on the external drive months ago as backup. After verifying the game files I can't seem to launch the game. The orange "Play" button is gone and instead I get "Details" button and clicking on it does not produce any option to launch the game. I can't even download the game via the client, that option is gone too. What the hell is going on? My pc froze a few times during game files (Windows 10 go fuck yourself). So I had to sign out of Windows. I want to play this Legendary shooter, man.

Hi! Recently, I purchased Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for PC. Note that this includes EA play. I would like to be able to play some of the free games that I have, such as Battlefield V. Is there anyway to link my EA play/Xbox Game Pass Ultimate to my PC and or Steam? Sorry if this seems dumb, I'm normally pretty good with troubleshooting stuff like this, but this is just SO confusing

Summary According to TweakTown's source [Behind a paywall], Chinese giant Tencent, is looking to expand its gaming network with a major gaming company. TT indicates that this could be done via hostile takeover of Take-Two or a deal with EA but article also states that in reality it is expected to be South Korean company, NetMarble. Quotes My thoughts Due to recent surges in stock prices of Tencent, I wouldnt be surprised if they are attempting to capitalize on their stock prices. However I dont see a hostile takeover of EA or Take-Two possible due to sheer profitability of those companies. Plus due to current political atmosphere I would expect getting a loan for a few billion dollars for a US based company would be hard for them. My first "news" article in 8 years. See y'all in 8 years. Hey there! So I just bought EA Access on Microsoft Store. I actually looked into subscriptions like this quite a lot and came to the conclusion that this was the most affordable one with a great library of games including many that I want to play. But afterwards trying to download games on my PC, I couldn't even load into games' pages. I researched a little bit online and saw that some people online said that it was just for XBOX rather than all compatible Microsoft machines. But on EA's website it's advertised as a subscription that's available for PC users too. Did I make a mistake? If so I will try to get a refund immediatly, but if otherwise, how do I get to download them?

Ive been away from my computer for half a year as I was out of the country, Got a new rig and asked a friend if he wants to play with me some Apex as I was unaware my account has been hacked from all around the world(Prob the same person using a VPN) but the kicker is my whole friendlist has been removed and my Apex Account got banned as well as Battlefield 1 and 4 but I am not certain of that... I am not having a good time with customer support over at EA Help/Contact EA I have plenty of emails (+100) saying there has been a sign in from WEB in a spand of 6, 7 months... If somebody has someone at EA/Origin I would greatly appreciate the help because this just bums me out... Name on ORIGIN EddyOSK

I bought witcher 3 game of the year edition in ea origins, can i transfer the game to steam?

I've just spent 30 minutes re-securing my email and origin account. Changing codes on my 2FA, passwords for my email and origin. The reason: I got an email saying that Origin Access accepted my code for a one month sub. The only problem? I didn't do it. Ironically (read unsurprisingly), the link in the email to cancel OA doesn't let you cancel, only change subscription type and billing. So I started the long drawn and complicated process of trying to contact EA and make sure that if I was hacked, to cancel all subs and payments. Then all of a sudden, at the bottom of the page I was reading... instructions about your free month of OA. FFS, they could have said it was a free gift, now how the hell do I get back 30 minutes of my life, spent wasted trawling their crappy system trying to find WTF is going on.

EA's will soon start selling their games on Valve's marketplace Steam, which many people are extremely loyal to and consider to be the best online marketplace. While linking friends lists is good, I don't think that requiring EA accounts and the Origin launcher is the best idea. People don't want to have to install another piece of bloatware, especially when this is being marketed as decreasing the bloat. While I think that reducing exclusivity is definitely a good thing, requiring an EA account and the use of the Origin launcher makes no sense to me, especially for singleplayer, purportedly micro-transaction free games like Jedi: Fallen Order. Source: https://parliamentlive.tv/event/index/0bf5f000-036e-4cee-be8e-c43c4a0879d4 (Timestamp: 15:43) Source: https://www.pcgamesn.com/ea-loot-boxes In a surprise to no-one, EA games is doubling down on their stance on Loot Boxes "Surprise Mechanics" in video games and believes there are absolutely no ethical concerns with loot boxes or any links to gambling. While speaking at a committee with UK Parliament’s Digital, Culture, Media, and Sport Committee, EA Games Vice President of Legal Kerry Hopkins has claimed that EA refers to Loot Boxes as "Surprise Mechanics" and believes that they are fun, enjoyable, and ethical. Source: https://www.pcgamesn.com/ea-loot-boxes The exchange in questioning between Scottish National Party MP Brendan O’Hara and EA's VP of Legal Kerry Hopkins regarding loot boxes: Source: https://parliamentlive.tv/event/index/0bf5f000-036e-4cee-be8e-c43c4a0879d4 (Timestamp: 15:43) (Note: I transcribed it so it could be written here. May include errors. Check the original recording) So basically EA has realised that the term "loot boxes" is looked at in a negative light by gamers and has re-branded loot boxes to "surprise mechanics" in an attempt to justify them. EA also disagrees with the rulings of other countries such as Belgium who banned loot boxes in games and denies that there is any link between loot boxes and gambling. I'm not sure what the distinction is between gambling and "surprise mechanics". Doesn't gambling involve surprise mechanics? I know I'd be surprised if I won the lottery! What are your thoughts about 'Surprise Mechanics' in video games?

Hello, I need some help in my chronic annoying problem that drives me almost to cry. I have a game crash after playing while I have an almost high end pc specs with a 700+ watts power supply and the rest of the specs is listed on the dxdiag file. After playing around like 20-30 minutes in either squad or post scriptum or battlefield 1 the game freezes then throws me into the desktop. I deleted me gpu driver then reinstall it again I transfered some of my games from the internal HDD to an existing internal SSD and upgrading me OS from win 7 to win 10 but nothing helped... but I still have the hope that there is someone in here will give me the solving solution. HAVE A NICE DAY DxDiag.txt

As much as i enjoy seeing EA get styled on with bad performing results its very bad that this is happening. This results in them dropping more risky ip's and developing new property because they cant absorb the costs of developing. Say Anthem for example, i really enjoyed it and have got to then endgame and will start the grind towards new and better stuff (i'm going to ignore the controversies with the game since i feel that it does not massively effect it in the long run). The reason of why i ignore the controversies is that they only effect a minority of people who like to bash the company just because, but it fails as others have said it could spell the end of Bioware or at least cause a large restructure. Further more if you see more gaming orientated media the pieces written about x or y game will only be a hit piece that gain views/clicks but that is a journo for you. A redeeming factor in this is that Apex might save multiple projects within EA since the extra money means that can again take risk and explore new options. Also the shareholders which of course dictate it. since this would mean the recovery of the share price and that would mean dividends for the investors which provide the financial safety for EA. If they continue to be troubled they will fall back on bad practices i.e loot boxes and since they are a more or less guaranteed way of leeching money from people they will continue to do so, so they can again survive. Now lets go for activation the only real game they seem to produce now is COD and we all know what a used sack or taters (boil em mash em) it is. But it seems to make them money had over fist every year so much so they can continue to invest into making more and more games of the same type. When was the last time Activation really came up with a totally new IP that actually changed the game and perhaps started something new. Admittedly for someone like them they struggle to innovate since they mainly deal with main stream and now the more indie audience that other platforms enjoy, so when the new trend say as for the past few years the 'battle royal' though they may not invent or define the genre they can certainly take a good stab at it which in the case of black out has been a good success. (god i hope battle royale dies soon, i do enjoy it but its just dull seeing so many games shove it in). So its conclusion time sine most people will skip here straight away for the defining point. Large publishers like EA, Activation Blizzard need to make good money so they can allow for new major changes and development to happen since the dilution of industry will mean that though there may be more choice the quality of the product may not be as good (Anthem is not a good example), Say DICE were totally independent would they produce a better projects or would they fall into a cycle like the one they are maybe abut to fall into of more frequent releases which are more hit and miss. I want to see the large publishers succeed because they though not always glamorously do take up the main weight of the heavy hitters and dissapointers since since they take most of the flak for it. if Anthem was again totally indie it would be seen as pluck and would be allowed the time and space to develop. Yes there is no excuse for delivering unfinished projects to the masses but i think those lessons are beginning to be learned; R6 and almost any battlefield game to date of recent years took time to stew and get better. Attitudes are changing and games are now being used more as long term project which is where the games as a service is being used to best example also WOW is a great example of something that took time to get where it is. We as an exquisitely critical audience need to lean the balance of bashing and attacking a game or anything in this medium and allowing the product time to get better by supporting and giving feed back rather that going 'its shit, fuck ea they are greedy corporate wank sticks and bloody beloved studio killers' which they are somewhat. So hold your judgement and do try and evolve your own opinion rather that quoting reviews and boycott the things your ranting about. So buy and try then maybe refund if your don't like it that much, but hopefully with a better attitude we wiil get the games we want at the quality we want and both side will hopefully be happy. Though there will always be haters. (i wrote this very late at night and im tired af so please ignore any spelling mistakes or bad uses of English i look forward to the reply or maybe lack there of) Yes I am British. Greatest nation ever. No argument.

So I have FIFA 14 on Origin and I want to give it to a friend.I'm positive there's a way, intentionally or not Is it possible that it would just work if he tried the key? I have sort of done this before, the game was first on an account I had lost and by contacting Origin Support they just placed the game on my current account

Everyone saw this coming from a mile away, but what truly baffles me is that EA is going to try and pass loot boxes as anything but gambling because its rewards don't hold "real world value". I understand why they are fighting the Belgian Government, but can not see their denial to blatant gambling coming across as a win in any court with these laws. Only just heard about this on the Jimquisition. https://www.pcgamer.com/brussels-prosecutors-launch-investigation-into-ea-over-refusal-to-remove-loot-boxes/ If it provides a clear advantage (I say if because I don't know, I don't play FIFA or sports games at all because I view them and sports as pointless, purely my opinion and not the point of this thread at all) over other players, or in some way provides a (potential) benefit to the player, in exchange for real world currency, does that not count as gambling? Edit: I am referring to loot boxes here, not microtransactions. Specifically I am questioning if it matters whether or not the "loot" is cosmetic only, makes it gambling. Personally I think the only argument for cosmetic loot from loot boxes not being gambling is "it has no inherent value" which is sort of a bad argument since you'd be saying it's not worth money anyways. Full Disclosure: I am 100% anti-loot-boxes, and 100% anti-micro-transactions if they in any way provide a benefit to the player. This includes "cosmetic only" microtransactions as they're generally speaking, important to most online games. I don't want to look like everyone else in an online game. I want my Sith Lord to look rather unique and menacing EA *continues rambling for quite some time about how EA completely f**king ruined SWTOR....the bastards.... Not sure if this is allowed, mods please advise. I first learned about it here (timestamped) ***UPDATE*** Jim Sterling has released an updated, stand-alone video on this subject. That is all.

Game rage at a new level. Reported that 11-15 people injured & 4 people dead (including the suspect) during a targeted shooting that occurred during an NFL Madden esport event that was live streamed on twitch at Jacksonville Florida , it's is being treated a mass shooting at the moment but might change as threat seems to be contained & suspect is deceased . The shooting took place in the Sunday's event which was held at a place inside the shopping mall during a regional qualifier for the Madden 19 online game tournament at the GLHF Game Bar inside a Chicago Pizza restaurant, Jacksonville Landing area, which is located along the St. Johns River. Several people on social media participating in the Madden NFL tournament reported hearing gunshots shortly after 1:30 p.m. during the livestream of the tournament on the platform Twitch , Madden NFL 19 is a new video game based on the NFL that’s developed and published by EA Sports. Contest winner tweeted out >> official statement White House press secretary Sarah Sanders said that President Trump has been briefed on the situation, and are monitoring. Anyways, due to political nature of this , Be balanced while in discussion or don't discuss it at all, no blind blaming on what's the cause, i'd rather see no discussion happening down there as a response to this rather than seeing a flame war discussion going nowhere stamping & put blame on anything that moves, surely these kind of events usually winds down to two things in public , does gun play a role or violent games play a role in causing events like this to happen in this kind of a place. in brutal honesty , this was a game rage gone too far . so there's that.
