Hi, As the title suggest, I am planning to use dual monitor mount but I am not sure if it'll fir my desk or not. My table top is about 2inch thick but theres a supporting beam below my desk which is 1.5inch high and 1.2inch wide making the desk top height about 3.5inch in total. Can anyone suggest if the mount will fit?

Hey all, My recent purchase was an incredibly expensive and worth-while one. The G703GI-XS71 is a one hell of a laptop, and due to that, its 8 cell Lithium-Ion drains extremely quickly, even when tasking it with light processes. So here poses my question: Is it mandatory for users to charge the battery with both of the charging ports occupied, or is it safe for the user charge the battery with a single charging port occupied? I have tested the single-port method. It works, but I worry about it ruining the battery life or causing some sort of chemical imbalance within the battery. Thanks!

Recently my asus Strix 980 died and now I am looking for a replacement. My system is 3.5+ years old with i7 5960x processor and 32gb ram. I also own 2 4k monitors and wanted to know if 1060 is a good replacement for my 980? I will build a new system next year so I am not looking to spend too much on GPUs and want something that can power both my monitors and also is good for some casual gaming.

Is it possible to run the corsair vengeance rgb pro 4x8gb 3600mhz on the msi b450 tomahawk max. I don't want to have 16x2, because I already have two of the same 8gb corsair sticks? The motherboard itself is dual channel that's why I'm asking.

Hi all, I am in the market for a new GPU. (The unit does not have to be new) One big thing about my PC setup is the fact that it is white and grey themed, so I want a white and grey GPU. I found the older GTX 1060 DUAL and 1070 DUAL from ASUS and they look great. However, on Newegg, Amazon, Microcenter, Best buy, ect. all of the units are hundreds of dollars over MSRP and I don't feel like spending $750 on a GTX 1060. I found multiple used and new ASUS DUAL GTX 1060 6GB on ebay for reasonable prices. I also found some VERY reasonable used GTX 1070's (around $100-$200) Some of my friends have had not good experience with art supplies and some other things on ebay (none with PC parts). I know to look at the sellers reviews and the product reviews and I feel confident that I could find a good seller with a good deal. I just want to make sure that i'm not gonna spend around $200 and get nothing. If someone has had good experiences that would be very helpful (Also which one should I get? GTX 1060 6GB or GTX 1070, bother ASUS DUAL models) Thanks for all the help!!!

peripherals Controlling / Switching Between Multiple Laptops
noodleMind posted a topic in Peripherals
I am currently trying to fix my work from home setup, where I have 2 Laptops on which I have to constantly toggle between. What is the best solution for that. Current Setup / Tasks Communications / Chat / Calls on Both Laptops Constantly switch between both the Laptops Connected 2 Different Headsets (1 Each Laptop) Connected 2 Monitors (1 Each Laptop) Logitech MX Keys and Master Mx3 Mouse (Switch Using the Device Selection Button) Current Issues / Problems Since I have to click on the Keyboard and the Mouse (bottom side, so I have to lift and flip each time) it is becoming hard to switch and know which one is active. Headphones needs to be constantly switched since each one has its own. Can Not Do Install a software to connect them (Such as Synergy, Barrier, Flow etc.) If KVM Switch with Docking station is the only option, is there any suggestions and recommendations- 7 replies

Hey, i have a Corsair MP300 NVMe drive on which Windows 10 is installed. I have created a second partition on which I'd like to install Linux Pop!OS, after watching Linus' recent Video about it. During the installation process, specifically when the installer says "configurating the system", the installation fails. I checked out the log files, of which I copied the last couple of lines: [INFO distinst:src/installer/steps/bootloader.rs:35] /dev/nvme0n1: installing bootloader for Bios [INFO distinst:crates/chroot/src/command.rs:108] running "chroot" "/tmp/distinst.zWBVAyFNtg5d" "grub-install" "--recheck" "--target=i386-pc" "/dev/nvme0n1" [WARN distinst:crates/chroot/src/command.rs:98] i386-pc wird für Ihre Plattform installiert. [ERROR distinst:src/installer/state.rs:37] configuring bootloader error: command failed with exit status: exit code: 1 [ERROR distinst:src/installer/mod.rs:298] errored while installing system: command failed with exit status: exit code: 1 [INFO distinst:ffi/src/installer.rs:188] Install error: command failed with exit status: exit code: 1 Help :s Edit: Fixed it. I just had to select the UEFI partition on the bootable USB and then follow the instructions within the installation process.

Hello, recently I bought a new ACER VG240YP monitor. It works well, but when I try to connect my second monitor through display port to hdmi cable the first screen goes blank and the second has no signal. I tried to change cables / outputs and it still doesn't work. Would be glad if someone helped.

Ok there is some minor issues once I realized my boards manual clearly was wrong I opened the PC and fixed it to run in dual channel and shit happened... XMP does not work unless I set it down to 3060MHz also the memory support list for the ASRock board actually mentions this! (only on G.Skill sticks for some reason) But anyhows should I use single channel with higher MHz or dual with 3060MHz? Dual 3000MHz CL15-16-16-35 Dual 3060MHz CL15-16-16-35 (could maybe see if this works?) Dual 3060MHz CL16-18-18-38 (currently) Mono 3200MHz CL16-18-18-38 Mono 3600MHz CL18-22-22-42 (could try this also? would max infinity fabric or is it pointless in mono channel?) Why does board do this? :<

Hi, I have been looking to upgrade my system ram from 8gb to 16gb. I already have a 8gb Corsair Vengeance LPX with, Specs: model number: CMK8GX4M1A2400C16 Latency: 16-16-16-39 power: 1.20V speed:2400mhz So far i have found this ram on amazon. All the specs of this model match with the ram i own except model number. It has an extra R at the end. Will this ram work in dual channel with my current ram if go for this one? Help! Thanks Link to probably the same ram i found online, again: https://www.amazon.in/Corsair-Vengeance-2400MHz-Chipset-CMK8GX4M1A2400C16R/dp/B01ARHCZYO/ref=sr_1_1?crid=3OOIAGJUYMRAV&dchild=1&keywords=corsair%2Bvengeance%2Blpx%2B8gb%2Bddr4%2B2400mhz&qid=1596704331&sprefix=corsair%2Bvengeance%2Blpx%2Caps%2C288&sr=8-1&th=1

SetUp: CPU: Intel i7-8700k Graphics: Nvidia GTX 1080 8gb Ram: 16GB DDR4 How're you doing forum? I'm having problems while playing games, specifically a significant FPS drop while using my 2nd monitor to watch videos or streams. Recently I upgraded my setup so I could stream myself and I found that my whenever I try to use my 2nd monitor to watch videos or streams my FPS drops. This didn't use to be a problem back when I was using a Radeon r9 290 and and i5 CPU, but ever since I upgraded to a better CPU and GPU my games and stream run amazing, unless I try to use my 2nd monitor. This happens weather I'm streaming or not, as soon as there is a video playing on my 2nd monitor I experience the FPS drop. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

Sorry if this has been discussed previously but I could not find any discussions on this anywhere. I have a 2080ti preordered and I play of mix of games such as first person shooters where I want as high of fps as possible (144fps+) and games like Skyrim where a high resolution (4k) at 60fps would be more beneficial to me than a lower resolution and higher fps. In saying that I currently own an Acer 1440p 165hz monitor that I would want to stick with for my first person shooter games but was thinking of adding a second 4k 60hz monitor that I could play my other games on that I am not so concerned about having high fps. So my question is will having a mix of monitor resolutions and refresh rates cause any issues? Thanks in advanced for you help!

Hello, I'd like to play with someone English-speaking in Rocket League. My rank is Platinium 1, but if you're on gold - I will also be happy to play with you. I have an account on Steam and on PS4, but if you wanted to trade more items and crates I have a PS4 account. I prefer to play in the evenings, I am most interested in playing with players with a lot of crates and items, I am very happy to buy rocket league items PSNID or Steam account via PM. One more thing when it comes to trading crates and items, I have already done too many transactions and I know from experience that I can buy and sell rocket league items safely using Odealo only. So if you want to trade items or crates with me, it's just via Odealo https://odealo.com/games/rocket-league From my experience, it's best poe shop for buy rocket league items

The title. My PC used to only have 2 4GB RAM modules. 8GB in total. I stress tested it a long time back with Memtest86 and it passed. Yesterday, I added 2 8GB sticks. It now has 24GB in total. I stress tested it with Memtest86 and it returned a note: "ram may be vulnerable to high frequency row hammer bit flips" Not an error. It was a non-error "note". Other than that, the configuration passed the stress test. All RAM modules are exactly the same other than their sizes. Same brand, model, speeds, etc. I opened up CPU-Z. Under "Memory", it says my RAM "Channel #" is "Dual". Under "SPD", I can view the details of all RAM modules. ALL values, speeds, etc. are exactly the same other than: 1) "Module Size" - duh 2) "Part Number" - the part numbers between all 4 modules are exactly the same except 4G/8G depending on the module size 3) "Serial Number" 4) "Week/Year" (date manufactured) 5) "Ranks" - the old 2 4GB modules are labelled "Single", whilst the 2 newer 8GB modules are labelled "Dual" It is worth mentioning both sets of RAM modules were purchased in sets of 2. They should both be running in dual channels.

Hey I'm sure this has been asked before, but I haven't been able to find an answer simple enough to explain it. I am looking at memory for my X399 Aorus Gaming 7 motherboard to be paired with my Threadripper 1950X. Currently I have 2x16GB G.Skill TridentZ RGB 3200Mhz dimms installed. If I were to add two more dimms would that become quad channel? Or does it stay dual channel? Is it the number of dimms/sticks that makes it single, dual, triple, quad, ect channel or is it the way the RAM chips are made? I've been debating if I should add two more of what I have (which is great) or if I should just bite the bullet and get an "official" quad channel kit right out of Newegg. I still know that I can order two more of the same sticks that I have. I am just curious if I would have any issues, if it would only be dual channel, or if it would become quad channel. Also what performance increases would or should I expect if I were to get it into quad channel?

This is poorly worded but here goes. So I've had this pc for probably around 2-3 years or so. I didn't know what dual channel ram was until around a year or so ago when I thought I had fried a stick of ram (turns out it just wasn't running in dual channel (facepalm). I went out and bought new ram and attempted to install it into dual channel mode on my z170x gaming gt mobo. Low and behold it doesn't boot. For some reason it won't work. I have tried literally every configuration I can think of and I can't get it to post. It's running in single channel right now and it doesn't really affect me until I go to play demanding games. I have them in the slot farthest from the cpu and the next one over so if its cpu---4 2 3 1 I have them in 1 and 3 and it boots and the pc runs fine but I have noticed significantly lower frame rates in benchmarks and such as compared to machines of the same build. If I try to put them in a dual channel configuration so 1 and 2, or 3 and 4 it won't even post and it just gives me a reserved error code on my motherboards LED display and continuously power cycles. Any ideas on why this could be or ideas on how to possibly fix it without buying a new mobo. If you need any more info on the pc let me know. I can also get some stats on the ram and such as I game via afterburner.

I currently have a 144hz asus vg248qe, and I have it connected to my 1070 via VGI cable, I was wondering how I should do it to run a second exact same monitor at 144hz. Connecting it to the motherboard only holds 60hz?
