So I've been looking for monitor stands and I came across this stand. Everything looks okay if I were to mount my 24 inch monitors (One is a BenqRH25HM or something like that it's discontinued, and the AOC 2460PF) But my only fears are that it will flex the particle board desk I'm clamping it on to and the orientation of the monitors won't be the way I want it to be. The best way I can show this is that the monitors positions should be like the "preferred" image but not like the second. I'm unaware if I can manipulate the arms as I please to get this configuration *Edit: The lines are the monitors and I think I came to a realization still unsure.

Good Day everyone, Linus and Anthony showed in one of there last videos, how to setup an "side-by-side VM - 32:9 Monitor" This is a great idea and something that would fit perfectly in my wish PC So I want to create a "plan" for my future setup; and because I have fun doing this, I created a diagram with draw.io I think this makes it easyer to understand what I want to built: What I expect from this: - More Secure with VMs (almost no added lag or greater performance impact ?) - Easy to update, upgrade and replace parts and software - Fast i/o with programms and games and Temp-files on SSD-Raid (only through lan to PC) (Internal connection possible ? PCIE-to-PCIE ?) - Semi fast but very reliable HDD-Raid for backups and finished projects and Media (20 TB accessable 40 TB in total) (Share within the same Wifi as router ?) - Stream one VM to TV (toggle between or atleast Windows only) (Miracast ?) - Ofcourse the display (and a software to share keyboard and mouse) does all the magic, bringing it together (I just HOPE this is reliable enough for day-to-day work, gaming and fun projects) - a price around 3500-4000€ + Display (Therefor the "plan"; buying the PC first, than storage, than server, than display ?) Dreams: - Get a X68000 Case and fitting everything perfectly, a similiar modern case, or DIY! So, would this work the way I think it does? Are there any big misconceptions on my side? Or do you think this would be stupid because ...? What's important: that it works in the end

Hey guys, I just reinstalled windows7 ultimate 64Bit after I had blueescreen problems caused by Razer synapse. Installed the OS, ran all the windows updates, installed (I hope all of them, any way to check?) the drivers and set everything up. My problem: I am experiencing performance issues using my secondary monitor (main monitor through dvi, secondary through Display Port) I’ve set the same resolution and refresh rate but there’s still a slight stutter if I use any Programm on the secondary monitor (example: full screen YouTube main page scrolling is smooth and is responding fast on the main monitor, it gets choppy and slow on the 2nd monitor) I didn’t have this problem before reinstalling Windows7, I used to play a game on the left (main screen) and a YouTube video on the right (secondary) but now the game gets choppy and altogether the OS feels slow and sluggish. Any idea what it could be guys? specs: Windows7 Ultimate 64Bit MSI Z97 Gaming 5 motherboard Intel Xeon E3 1231 V3 NVidia GeForce 1070TI 16GB (2x8GB) Gskill Raw thanks in advance guys!

So currently I'm in the process of planning ahead for a new pc build, and it was along this I was wondering if we are at the point I could build such a setup. A single computer that would allow me to both simultaneously on one side record & game while on the other work on the video rendering as opposed to having two separate rigs or just doing one at a time. If such is the case, would using a dual socket motherboard be a good move in that direction? I do know there are some editing software that allow you to use more of your gpu than your cpu in the video editing process so I had thought of having two gpu's working on different tasks as another possibility. Gpu 1 for recording & gaming and gpu 2 for the video editing process, but I naturally want to confirm with those that would be more knowledgeable in that area than myself about the possibilities.

Hello everyone. I have a question that I would like someone with a lot more knowledge than me to help me with. I'm about to purchase a new rig and I want to get 32GB of RAM, 2 sticks of 16GB each to run in dual channel. My question is do I Really need to buy a kit (so 2x16GB) to run in dual channel or can I just order 2 separate sticks of 16GB of the same model? I ask this question because getting the 2 separate sticks (16GB each) is literally the equivalent of 60$ less than getting the kit. As far I know from an old friend the kit guarantees to work in dual channel and at the frequencies the manufactures says, but getting individual sticks and putting them together is not, so they might work or might not work. Is that really true? Do I really need to spend 60$ more just to be sure that dual channel and the advertised frequencies work? Thanks in advance.

I just found one "special" card; My neighbor just moved out and left some old tech. When I looked through it, I found a 760 mars which is a dual gpu card. I know its probably irrelevant nowadays but what should I do with this card? haha.. Keep it as part of my collections, try some games on it or if you have any Ideas..? I'm still a bit new it the Tech world so this might be not that special after all! There's a video of Linus, back in NCIX, showcasing this card if you are curious!

While trying to put together a relative low end itx system (rx 570 + r3/i3) i got this feeling that 16gb of ram wont be enough for the next 4-5 years (also might have to do some 3d stuff which might req a better gpu and cpu). No matter what brand I'll go for (intel/amd) i will want upgradability(gonna swap cpu and/or gpu if needed). As I said, I might need to do some 3d stuff and i dont know if 16 gb will be enough for that. And that led to dilemma: Will a DUAL RANK memory stick perform as well as a DUAL CHANNEL ? what are the pros/cons of each config? Also I'm gaming on 1080p.

Ok, I should start off by saying that I have a good chunk of my build pretty much completed, but I am having issues planning for some expected changes in the future... So here's my situation, I absolutely love having a ton of storage, I keep backups of everything; I do mean everything, backups from Android, PC (Windows 10), and various other devices running various operating systems. I currently have about 7.5 TB of storage readily available in connected and OPERATING as in powered on storage not accounting for storage overhead or formatting overhead. I have so much storage that I have a tough time keeping all my stuff together and I have no idea how much storage I am currently using, but I expect it to be in the range of terabytes of total storage... Furthermore with my build I want to be able to switch between 2 OS installations, Windows 10, and Ubuntu (16.04.5/whatever the latest 16.04.X is), however, I want to be able to keep some storage devices inaccessible to BOTH of the OS installations... Here's the kicker: I tend to mess up my Ubuntu installations a lot; for instance, I will try to modify pretty much anything and end up rebooting for some changes to take effect, and I will end up getting stuck in an EFI shell with no way to boot into anything to try to fix my mistake. This has also happened to me while using a windows installation... I also want to be able to dual boot through the Windows dual boot menu since it looks a lot nicer. I am not even done with my many trials and tribulations, but I just don't know what I need to do or how to actually achieve my end goal. I just felt I needed to put this out there to see if anyone has any advice, or if anyone is an expert on such odd configs and can help me figure out why I am such a dunce that I can't figure out why I can't even configure a simple dual boot system without it all falling apart like my life after my parents divorce? Sorry; and I hope this is the right forum topic as I feel my issue is mostly about storage devices...

Hi guys,I'm planning buying new configuration for my home server. I'm gonna use it for my "VMed" OS of choice (MacOS Mojave), to run my website, and to edit videos in Final Cut Pro X and myb Windows to fireup some games(like CSGO, not demanding games). Specs: CPU x 2 - Xeon X5690 - 200$ Motherboard - DELL POWEREDGE C1100 5MV6K CN-05MV6K - 30$ RAM - Samsung 48GB (12x4GB) 2Rx4 PC3-10600 - 50$ Graphics Card - Asus ROG RX580 8GB - 300$ SSD - Samsung 260GB - 30$ Hard Drive(s) - 2TB - 50$ Motherboard probably isn't the best choice so I'm looking for for some suggestions. Anyone have experience? Tnx<3

I have a dual monitor setup and when I have a fullscreen application, (usually csgo), on monitor one, and a windowed app (like discord) on monitor two. My problem is when Im in csgo, and click discord it minimizes csgo and moves discord to the 1st monitor. This is very annoying and Im wondering if anyone has a fix for it. Thanks

Okay so i recently bought a 2nd 1080p 144hz monitor and for some reason the 2nd display will only show 60hz. When i change the setting to 144hz in NVIDIA control panel it just blacks out the one monitor and reverts back to 60hz. I have them both connected via display port to a GTX 1070. if any one can help it would be much appreciated.

So, i'm running a 3840x2160 LG monitor as my primary, and a 1920x1080 BenQ monitor as my secondary. I have this issue where if i open up a game on my primary monitor with some apps, like discord or firefox on my secondary monitor, those apps will move to my primary monitor. Nothing else happens besides that. All of my apps just move to the opposite monitor. task bars and program icons stay where they're supposed to be. I even switched the primary monitor to 1440p, and it still happens. My friend runs two monitors with different resolutions (1920x1080 monitor + 1600x900 monitor), and doesn't get this problem. Does anyone else have a setup similar to mine? And if so, do you have a solution to this problem?

Hi, so I've just dipped my feet into the waters of GPU overclocking after trying it out in PC Building Simulator first, and so far I've managed to get this profile. My current fan curve: As I was setting my fan curve and was playing Overwatch, I happened to notice my card peaked 68°C when it would usually do around 73-76°C at max, so I was well impressed. ... That is until I saw it was doing 4.7K RPM! I was wondering, is there a certain safe RPM range for my card? Without MSI Afterburner, it will max out at 2.7K RPM so seeing that 4.7K RPM was a shock. I couldn't hear the card while I was playing because I have headphones in so noise is not a concern. Additionally, are there any modifications I could do to my fan curve profile? I have it relatively steep due to my aforementioned concerns with 'safe' RPM ranges.

Hey! So, I have a CaseLabs SMA8 and two GTX 1080ti's. I am looking to spice up the looks of my build by making them be vertical. CaseLabs wanted to sell a new Motherboard Tray for the SMA8 that had the possibility for dual vertical GPU's, but now they're bankrupt.. So, what shall I do? Does anyone know a solution to this that doesn't invovle custom machining or extreme jerry rigging? If possible I would like to damage my Cas as little as possible. I looked into modding 2 CableMod oder Cooler Master verical adapters, but I then the spacing between the cards would probably be off.. Help is appreciated! Btw, it's okay, if the ports of one GPU are obstructed!

I bought a gtx 1050 I want to use dual monitor setup I connected my 2 720p monitors through vga to hdmi and vga to dp converters. Everytime I turn on my pc the 2nd monitor which is connected via hdmi it detects but other one dp one(monitor 1) doesn't. Tried mayne things but at last found out a trick which is, I need to open multiple diplay options fron windows 10 notification toggles-> select show on second screen only-> then choose extend display. This works like a charm, but why it doesn't work from the boot of windows? Can anyone help me?

Hi, I'm trying to run a GTX 1080 as my primary gpu for gaming and other productivity workloads on my main display and separately use my RX 480 to drive another display for websurfing/videos in order to offload some of the computational burden from the 1080. I haven't found an immediately obvious way of doing this with Windows 10. Example: So, I'm trying to run R6S on my main display and watch YouTube on my secondary. Both displays are plugged into their own corresponding gpus. R6S starts having seizures and texture aren't being loaded in properly, etc... After checking Task Manager I can see that my GTX 1080 is rendering the YouTube video AND R6S!! Edit: I'd like to have my GTX 1080 work on the game and my RX 480 work on the video independently from one another. HALP MEH PLZ!!!!

Hey there! I've just came up with the idea of upgrading by monitor setup. Currently im running a BenQ XL2430T and a 10years old, no name, 1080p@60 monitor. The graphics card is a gtx1070 but im planning on upgrading with the new series. The idea for my new setup is to use a deskmount to clean up the desk a bit. I want two monitors that (if possible) look similar enough or atleast should both have a thin frame and 27 inch. Only the main monitor needs to be 144Hz, the 2nd one is fine with 60Hz. I dont actually have a price limit because if i buy to cheap, i gona end up buying twice. The main focus is on games like csgo (competetive yes, but i dont think i ever notice 1ms or 5ms delay), apex, cities skylines and stuff like that. I have already bought 2 different models as possible main monitors: - LG 27GL850-B (508€) - Acer Nitro VG270UP (380€) Other possible monitors i saw: - ViewSonic VX2758 (360€) - Agon AG241QX (428€) - G-MASTER-GB2760HSU (325€) - AOC Gaming CQ27G2U (Curved, 315€, could but that one twice because its that cheap) - Nitro XF272UP (399€, not sure if i notice a different about 300cd/m² or 350cd/m²) They all look the same to me, only the price is different. I bought the Acer and LG for a direct comparison. Does anyone have any experience or have any other good alternatives? And does anyone know a good 2nd monitor that is quite inexpensive?

Hi people, Just looking for some advice if possible. I have recently upgraded my GPU from a R9-270 to a 1650 super and my monitors seem to be messed up. When I launch any game my second monitor screen turns black and I get the dissconection sound. When I stop the game it comes back on. My main monitor is a 24 inch connected via display port and my second monitor is a 17 inch connected via HDMI via a VGA adapter. I never had any issues with my R9-270. Also it seem to reconnect when there isn't anything graphical happening like just at a splash screen Please help

Hi y'all so i just brought this super micro server board for my server and its got 2 gigabit Ethernet ports so after searching the internet for 4 hours and watching dozens of videos i got to the conclusion that this can be used for link aggregation fail over and other stuff but couldn't find anywhere about getting better speeds so my gaming rig has 2 gig ports so if it connect like both my PC and server is there any way of getting double the speed or something like that rather than spending more money on better hardware(10Gnic,etc)

I have read the post about refresh rate drops. This is not the case for me. The refresh rate stays the same. I assume refresh rate refers to Hz and not FPS. In my case the FPS drops on my 144Hz monitor. I did a couple of tests. Test 1 Nothing is playing on my second monitor (60Hz). When my 144Hz monitor is in focus, I'm getting 144FPS and 144Hz. When I start clicking on my second monitor (60Hz), my main monitor (144Hz) drops in FPS. Video Test 1: https://streamable.com/wgtpr Test 2 Had a youtube video playing on my second monitor, and tested with my main monitor being in focus and out of focus. Both times my main monitor would drop in FPS, but not Hz. When I paused the Youtube video and had my main monitor in focus, the FPS was back up, but when the main monitor is out of focus regardless if the video is playing or not, the FPS drops, but not the Hz. Video Test 2: https://streamable.com/yx19h Is there any way to fix this? I have kinda followed the guide for the first post I mentioned, but I haven't join the Windows insider program. Is this really necessary? I think it requires Windows to connect to my email which I prefer not to. Specs: LG 27gl850 AOC Q2790PQU/BT RTX 2070 Super

I've got a Ryzen 2400G build on an Asus B350-F board. I'm trying to use dual monitors but can't detect the second display. I've installed the amd drivers, the latest BIOS, and enabled multiple displays in the BIOS. Any idea why this isn't working? Is it not technically supported by the chip even if the board supports it?

Hey guys, I have the following setup and I wanted to ask you, would there be any difference if I added one more Kingston HyperX Fury 4GB DDR3 1866MHz stick. Userbenchmark said that my memory was performing very poorly (13th percentile) while PassMark said it was performing well. As for memory usage I've never seen it exceed 9-10GB. CPU-Z shows the memory running in Dual-Channel mode. Setup: CPU: Intel Core i7-4790KMOBO: MSI Z87-G43 Gaming RAM: 12GB Kingston HyperX Fury DDR3 @ 1866MHz GPU: Gainward GTX 970 but a GTX 1070 is soon going to be installed even tho 12GB of RAM is still enough I presume

Hi, so I've recently been wanting to get more out of my PC once again and now I'm looking into the possibility of a dual-tower air cooler, at least something with more than four heatpipes, no offense to my current Arctic Freezer 33 eSports One. Specifically, I've been looking at these coolers: Cryorig R1 Ultimate Cryorig R1 Universal be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4 Cryorig H7 Quad Lumi DeepCool Neptwin The thing is, I have no idea if half of these even fit inside an NZXT S340. I know that the H7 Quad Lumi fits inside because I've seen Bitwit (I think) use a H7 Quad Lumi inside an NZXT S340 with no issues. If anyone has any experience with any of these coolers and even better inside an NZXT S340, please let me know if a) they fit, and b) how good they are inside the case. I'm quite fond of the R1 coolers (not sure whether Ultimate or Universal yet) and the H7 Quad Lumi.
