Hello my friends! Friend of mine is selling Canon 400D with this lens EF-S 18-55mm 1:3.5-5.6 IS and memory card 4GB for 190 Euro. Only the body without lens is 135Euro. I wanted to buy DSLR for long time and i plan buying one soon, but just wanted to ask you guys is it good deal for me if i buy this camera? I want to take really good quality pictures that are not possible with modern phones such as iPhone 6S or Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. I also want to make some good HD quality smooth videos which is also not possible with phones. My price is maximum 700Euro for DSLR, but since this camera looked cheap for me, maybe its good for what i want to do with it. I dont understand anything of DSLR cameras or lenses the only thing i want to do is to take some extremely good quality Videos and Pictures. I'am pure amateur. Thanks in advance, best of luck!

Greetings. I've recently been interested in recording and producing 1080p video content to document my travels, and create reviews of various products and anime. Until now, I've been using my 8-year-old Canon Vixia HF20 camcorder. I've provided a link below to a comparison of its two main video modes- 'Program'- which features more contrast due to a variable ISO setting, but more noise in low-light, and 'Cinematic' mode, which features a locked, lower ISO for a slightly more washed-out picture, and less noise and lower visibility in low-light settings. The footage was shot in broad daylight, so the difference is more subtle than it would be in low-light. Note that the playback quality on Dropbox is greatly diminished, and you'll probably have to download it to assess the video quality. https://www.dropbox.com/s/2cc7m6q7y56sis1/Colour%20Comparison.mp4?dl=0 I've been checking out the Canon Rebel SL1, as I haven't been able to find great deals on used DSLRs in my area. While it appears to have better video quality, I won't have the articulating screen I have on my camcorder. I'm willing to spend up to $400, but only if the video quality is a substantial upgrade from what I have right now (please view the aforementioned footage before making recommendations). Although it may be possible to get a new camera shipped from the US, used cameras on American trading sites are of no use to me, as I'll have no way of verifying their condition before buying them. Thus, please refrain from sharing eBay or Craigslist recommendations. Note that non-DSLR recommendations are still welcome as long as they're a significant step up in quality at a low price. I'm even willing to consider Mirrorless cameras or compact point-and-shoot cameras if they present an upgrade in quality. Regards, Aereldor.

Got a Nikon D3300 for a really good deal. Super excited to use it in the wild. Just wondering if anyone knows of some must have accessories that don't break the bank? <3

I want to start recording home videos again since my family is growing again and I'll be going on family vacations this year. I wanted to know if it's worth getting a decent 1080p camcorder or just learn to focus with my existing DSLR. What is everyone using for their home videos?

Alright hello, so I'm looking for a new camera body+ a lens and I think I've past the line when it comes to having a low-mid range DSLR to something better I've had eyes on the 70D for a while now, and I've tested it my self, since a friend of mine already owns one. I was wondering if the upgrade is worth it, also what are your recommendations? I have a budget of 1500$

Alright hello everyone, so I have so many choices on what kind of dslr+lenses and what not I should get. I have a Canon 700D with 3 kit lenses 18-55 F3.5-5.6, a 50mm f1.8, and a 70-300mm at the moment, while the camera decent its not the best in low light and it struggles by a bit at ISO 1600 anyways, I'm not here to talk about the camera I currently own. I have some cash to spend on some new gear, and here's what I've thought of. (note all of the prices are converted from my own country's currency which is AED or Arab Emirate Dirham 1 - Canon 6D - 24-105 L Kit lens + Tripod + Camera bag + Extra battery + Battery grip + Cleaning kit ( COST 1600$~ ) 2 - Canon 70D - 18-55 Kit lens + Samyang 10mm F2.8 + Rode Video mic go + Tripod + Camera bag + Extra battery + Battery grip + Cleaning kit ( COST 1500$~ ) 3 - Keep my Canon 700D - Get Samyang 10mm F2.8 + Sigma 18-35 F1.8 + Rode Video mic Pro + Extra battery + Battery grip + Cleaning kit (COST 1550$~ ) So these are my options. by now you're probably asking what is he going to use this for? well my main use for a camera is Photography, I'll also be a recorder and an editor for my friend's youtube channel, so yeah. I hope I made everything clear.

I have made a few posts about this and I don't think I was well understood. In the previous posts I have asked about using a DSLR for recording video, taking photos, and streaming talk shows to twitch. Everyone kept saying things like: DSLR's have a 30 minute record limit. DSLR's suck for streaming! You should just get a webcam! I'm sorry if I'm mistaken but I can't find a webcam that can even stream at 1080p60fps which is the base requirement I want. To get to the point: Will a Nikon D3200 hooked up to a Avermedia Live Gamer Portable be able to stream a basic talk show using a Razer Syren Pro mic from my beefy i7-5820K/GTX 770/ 32 GBs of DDR4 ram with nearly a 100Mb up and down speed? If not I really want to know what the hell the WAN show is shot with.

Hi guys, i'm new in this forum so this is my first post. Im planning to buy my first camera. This camera will be used primarily for video recording in 1080p. Th problem is, my budget quite limited at only 400$. With that budget i can get a new canon 1200D. But one of my friend offer me his Canon 500d complete with secondary battery and 500mm canon lens at the same price. So my question is: Which one i should choose? Thanx

So upgrading from a smartphone camera to a proper one, I need some help! The environment will be: Close ups and nature shots. It should either record high bitrate & mp 1080p that could be upscaled to 4k without looking crap OR shoot good looking 4k video. Also it should have a wide range of compatible lenses. You can also link me your lense (good quality but not overly expensive) recommandation for that camera!

Heey guys, Do you know an entry-level dslr?? I'm looking for one and my budget is between 200-600€ and i need an 3,5 mm mic jack and a tiltable screen. I appreciate the help thnx

Hello, I am currently looking into my first DSLR. I have used them before and was wondering whether the Canon EOS Rebel T3i or the Nikon D3300 is better. From what I have gathered, the Nikon one is better with more pixels, capable of 1080p @60FPS video, compared to 30FPS on the Canon, and being $100 cheaper. I wouldn't use the flip-out Canon LCD, and for me it seems that for the Canon you are paying more for less... would you agree with this decision of the Nikon D3300 over the Canon T3i? Thanks

Hi all, It's been almost a year since I passed on my Nikon D3200 to my sister. I didn't have much time to shoot back then, and thought she would be able to use it more than I could. But now I've saved up some money and am in the market for a new camera. This time however I've been really falling for all of the mirrorless systems that I did not consider last time. Right now I've got my eyes on the Fuji X-T10 and their XF 18-55mm F2.8 - 4.0 lens. This kit currently comes in at $1,000 on amazon. What I like about this camera is the style, build quality (from what I've heard), the options in lenses, and the portability that comes from mirrorless systems. I'm posting here today to get a second opinion before I buy anything. I've been kind of tunnel-visioned on this X-T10 and want to see if some of you can point out some glaring flaw with this camera that I'm just not seeing, or perhaps a better camera to go with. I understand the X-T10 does not have the best video mode, but I don't typically shoot video - and when I do it isn't very serious. My budget right now is about $1,200 US. Feel free to chime in with a DSLR recommendation, but I am mostly looking at mirrorless because I travel a lot and appreciate how easy they would be to bring with me.

I am looking for a DSLR camera to improve my videos on YouTube (which have been shot on a Galaxy Note 4 or an iPad Air 2) and to get into streaming. I like to do talk shows and documentary type of stuff so it doesn't have to be amazing but one thing that is very important to me is that I can use my XLR mics. Please link where to buy.

The image stabilization system in a photo camera relies on having a glass element inside the lens or the sensor being able to shift movement based on camera vibration/shake. The image stabilization inside a camcorder for example is more like a gimble system, it moves the entire container which holds the lens and sensor. The first part of this video shows you how IS works for a photo camera. This video shows lens shift IS. Here is a video that shows how sensor shift IS works. This is how IS works for a proper video camera. The IS for a photo camera works for taking still images because it only captures a moment in time. But when it comes to recording motion or moving images, it cannot compete with the type of smoothness provided by a system based on the idea of a gimble.

Hey all, (tl;dr I'm looking for good, cheap 14-18mm lens recommendations for a T3i) So for my YouTube videos for the past few years, I've been shooting with my Canon EOS Rebel T3i/600D. I've mainly just used the kit lens, though I've bought a Canon 50mm and some old manual film SLR lenses to use, as well. For the A-Roll of my videos (shooting myself, 1-man crew, need to be close to focus on self while in position), I still use the kit lens at the 18mm distance. This has gotten me my best results. However, I'd like to step up my game, and can't afford a new body right now. (A7s ii or GH4 WAAANT!) Since I shoot with the 18mm length on the kit lens (I know on cropped sensors the measurements change, etc.) I've been looking at Prime lenses around that same wide-angle fashion so I don't have to change my set. On another tech YouTuber's gear list, they recommended the Tokina 11-16mm. I was looking for a prime lens around this price range and found the Rokinon 16mm, which I've since been given pretty strong recommendation for. They're both around the same price. My ideal "budget" would be closer to $300, but ~$425 being my max, since that includes these. Any other recommendations for a lens like this over these options? Thanks guys!

Hi all, I just picked up this teleprompter - http://www.ebay.com/itm/321217702613?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT It works great. However, my main tripod's quick release plate can't attach to it, and the tripod I have that can attach to it can't hold it very well, the whole rig almost fell in the floor. I need to stand in front of the tripod, and I'm quite tall, so I've been using this tripod, but like I said, the screw in the quick release plate isn't tall enough to screw into it, and it's a POS plate anyway. But when I was shopping Amazon for other 75" tripods, they all looked the exact same/looked like they had the same plate. So I switched to an older, but more durable, Sony tripod I have, but it's a lot shorter, so I had to extend the middle pole up a lot. Left it there all day and it was fine, but then when I hit record (adding movement) the whole plate flipped out. So I need a tripod that has a sturdy attachment base. Either a large/wide plate system, or one that I can attach my own tripod head to, that could support the weight of that prompter + DSLR + tablet. But I don't exactly have the ability to spend a TON on it. And I need it to get close to my 6'2" height, or things are going to look bad. Any ideas? Thanks guys, as always.
