  1. RMA’d my motherboard and they gave me a replacement. It’s the exact same model as I had before. Will I have to reinstall new drivers or should I be fine?
  2. Hi there! Let's say I don't know (and there is no way to check) which of these 2 motherboards I have: ASUS PRIME H310M-C ASUS PRIME H310M-C/CSM , but I checked up and both motherboards use the same BIOS firmware, for example BIOS firmware version 3202, which comes as file PRIME-H310M-C-SI-3202.zip. This file can be found on these respective pages for both motherboards: 3202 - ASUS PRIME H310M-C 3202 - ASUS PRIME H310M-C/CSM Where PRIME-H310M-C-SI-3202.zip has the checksum for SHA-384 as: 2656c94abd7e31271e079030d4db7d44d274c460857fadca5c0140d08c88b611ee8c6a1263dca95cb1ebcb6b06158e48 Since both motherboards share the same firmware, does that mean I can use/mix the drivers from any of the two motherboards, for example for W10 64? For example, let's say I have an ASUS PRIME H310M-C mobo, where the latest chipset driver for ASUS PRIME H310M-C is newer than the latest chipset driver for ASUS PRIME H310M-C/CSM. Hence I'll be using the chipset driver from ASUS PRIME H310M-C for ASUS PRIME H310M-C. Then let's say the latest LAN driver for ASUS PRIME H310M-C is older than the latest LAN driver for ASUS PRIME H310M-C/CSM. Hence I'll be using the LAN driver from ASUS PRIME H310M-C/CSM for ASUS PRIME H310M-C. Would this procedure be possible, installing these 2 drivers on ASUS PRIME H310M-C in the manner I described above? Thank you!
  3. My desktop build consists of a Ryzen 5 3600, RTX 2060, 16GB DDR4, and an EVGA 450W PSU - this system has worked for a number of years at this point with this configuration without having this particular issue I understand after infinite googling and forum surfing that code 43 is not an uncommon problem to have with GPUs, but every fix I've found online doesn't seem to resolve things in regard to installing/updating my drivers. Like any other day, I boot up my system, no updates on windows or graphics drivers the previous session I used it on, and I find my PC is only booting onto a single monitor and the resolution is 480p. I quickly find in the device manager that my 2060 has been disabled by windows (Windows 10 - trial version) with the message "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)" My attempts to fix this have included: DDU to remove any previous drivers/reinstall the newest one Disabling the device and re-enabling/uninstalling the device on the device manager Run a "Fix code 43" script I got from a trusted forum Install the most current driver (which was newer than the one I had when the system last worked) both in GeForce Experience and downloaded straight from Nvidia's website Physically remove and re-seat the GPU and its power delivery as well as reseat the motherboard battery What I've realized is that in any attempt to install the newest driver to the system, windows seems to block the installation even though all indicators show from the driver installer that it has been successfully installed. In Gforce Exp - when I install the driver it completes the task and then simply continues to indicate that it's downloaded and ready to be installed either express or custom installation method (I have done both express and clean install on downloaded from Nvidia and in Gfrorce experience) As of now, my device manager claims the driver installed is from 3/16, while the one I've attempted to install many times now is dated as 3/23 If anyone is familiar with this particular circumstance where it feels as though windows is blocking the installation of the newest driver to fix the error, even though Nvidia's platform indicates each time that it has been installed correctly, please throw me any tips or methods I haven't tried yet. At this point, I'm hoping this doesn't result in concluding my 2060 bricked itself randomly while my PC was turned off I run no virtual machines or lynix on this system, I just use the free version of windows 10 and play valorant lol - for some reason as well my watermark to activate windows has disappeared. Thanks, everyone!
  4. I'm putting together a new (old) server running on that CPU (two of them, in fact, inside an old Mac Pro) and I can't connect to the internet, which is in fact very bad for a server! Device manager shows that there are no drivers for the Ethernet Ports nor is there a Network driver. I've been trying to google it, but with no luck. The various websites I've been to either refuse to download the driver, the downloaded thing is not the driver, or they try to offload some random program onto me that I don't feel comfortable using. I also can't seem to find them on Intel's website. Does anybody know where I can get them?
  5. i just acquired my moms old PC (windows 10) and it hasn't been turned on for years and probably hasn't gotten driver updates science she got it, what is a good free tool for updating my drivers? like automatically installing them for me (and maybe ask me to confirm what drivers i want to update)
  6. I'm in the UK Hello, I'm planning to buy a pre built without ram or a GPU or a os from PCS. I want to ask if I can install a GPU in a system that has no integrated graphics and still output display without the GPU drivers?
  7. What are your thoughts on using Amernime Modded drivers for Amd Gpu, specifically RX 480. Im having issues with adrenalin edition for stability reasons. Should I go for Amernime or Pro edition?
  8. Summary AMD’s latest Adrenalin 23.2.1 driver is apparently crashing Windows and causing serious boot issues. The most current update appears to be crashing PCs, bricking Windows installs, sending users error messages that exclaim that the system has an "inaccessible boot drive" error; reports several users from the ComputerBase forums and Twitter. Quotes My thoughts This is really sad, as I know AMD Radeon users were waiting almost two months for a driver update for Radeon RX 6000 series GPUs and older. Now the update finally arrives and you have to deal with this issue. There are users who are claiming no problems installing this driver, but then again, there are plenty who are claiming they are experiencing these issues. It appears CapFrameX discovered that the driver could be changing BIOS settings, such as boot options; leading to the crashes and/or boot problems users have been describing. It's recommended if you are experiencing these issues after installing the new Adrenalin 23.2.1 driver, to check your BIOS settings before resorting to reinstalling Windows. AMD hasn't commented yet or added any information about the current issue. Hopefully, it's not too long before AMD addresses this issue and provides a solution. Sources https://www.hardwaretimes.com/latest-amd-radeon-driver-causing-bsod-corrupting-windows-forcing-a-reinstall-reset/ https://wccftech.com/latest-amd-radeon-graphics-drivers-reportedly-causing-pc-boot-issues-corrupting-windows/ https://www.digitaltrends.com/computing/amd-driver-windows-crashing-boot-problems/ Update Summary AMD has issued a warning to users that updating the Radeon GPU drivers could cause damage to Windows installations. The company stated that during the Radeon Adrenalin software update, if users use the 'Factory reset' option and a Windows installation is taking place at the same time, Windows could become corrupted. Quotes My thoughts This is good that AMD acknowledges this issue and is working towards a solution. It's funny because at the time, certain people were complaining that the person covering the issue was simply badmouthing AMD and the issues weren't real. Now here AMD is clearly saying that the issue is real, and offers a workaround to prevent it from happening. Hopefully, they resolve this issue with a fix. 9. Corsair HS70 Wireless Some cheapo USB microphone When USB microphone in and working, headset set as default device, and selected, the playback comes through HDMI. When I disable HDMI it is just silence. Whichever device I plug in first is the one that works, and will guarantee that the other one does not work. How do I stop this from happening? I simply want to have playback through my headset while I talk through the mic.
  10. I have a b550 Aorus elite ax v2 and the wifi on it isn’t working I have the antennas plugged into the mobo and downloaded the drivers for wifi but it isn't working.
  11. Alright. forgive how sloppy this will be, I have literally never used a forum before. Recently I turned on my pc to do some gaming and with MW2 (single player) and warhammer space marine, with discord sometimes having audio issues aswell (only things I had time to play or test) Experienced almost CONSTANT stuttering lag and audio issues. This system has been run very lightly a couple days a month for almost 2 years with 0 issues My setup for my custom ordered pre-built is as follows, Win 10 ryzen 5800x. coolermaster 240 AIO Msi x570 Mpg gaming plus (not what I ordered) 32gb corsair vengeance 3200mhz EVGA ultra black 3070 PSU is a Gamdias 750(i hope, also not what was ordered) storages are 3tb of samsung 980 pros and a 2tb samsung 870 qvo This issue began on startup so of course I went and updated windows and nvidia drivers, no effect, I have checked task manager and have seen no issues with temps, cpu or drive usage, I have also opened BIOs and FTPM was already disabled, this was as far as I got before I had to hit the road for work again and I have had a couple ideas that I cannot try till I make it home the 12th, I was hoping to pick brains and get more ideas I could try for when I get back. My BIOs is from Jan of 2021, but I don't really see that being the issue Both of the games I tried and probably discord are on the 870 qvo that is the main drive for I'd say 80% of what's on the computer, the nvmes are brand new, I cant help but wonder if I am experiencing an early SATA drive failure? My final thought atm is the PSU, I ordered this system with a corsair 750w, however along with the Mobo they changed it in order to speed up shipping during the pandemic, I believe what is in there now is a Gamdias unit, but I have not checked to make sure it is a 750, I see mixed reveiws on the brand and am worried that perhaps that is beginning to fail, and if it has hopefully it has not ruined anything else. I am planning to upgrade this regardless sometimes soon This pc is only ran about 4 days a month when I am home and is shut down daily, power killswitched when I am on the road, Any assistance I could get or ideas would be greatly appreciated. I myself am not super tech savvy but I do attempt to keep up with what's going on and try to research before I do things
  12. Hi all, After 2x years of running Linux/Macs (where driver updates are part of the system) I moved to windows. At first it was with laptops, so they have their own dedicated tools. Now I actually built a PC and I'm wondering how to keep my drivers up to date. The main devices I'm talking about are: Nvidia 3080 TI Asus TUF Gaming z790 motherboard One option is to go to their respective websites and manually download and install the driver updates. This seems too much work and I'm hoping to avoid that. Another option would be to install applications to manage updates (more on that later), and last - maybe windows check for driver updates automatically? (Since I've only been running this PC for a month, I don't have a lot of experience with it). Regarding applications to keep driver updates: Nvidia - I know there's GeForce Experience. Is it the only option? Does it take a lot of resources constantly running? (I know it also have a lot of benefits like games specific drivers, etc). Asus Motherboard - This has been a source for a lot of troubles. I've installed Armoury Crate and it's full of bloat and constantly causing me troubles (e.g. high CPU usage until I restart). Is there another option for keeping the drivers updated? I saw there's an Intel drivers update tool. Since almost all of the drivers for the motherboard are Intel (except the audio), can I use that? Is it any better? Thanks for your help. Haim
  13. So I got a Windows 10 Dell laptop with this processor. I installed drivers recommended for this system from Dell website but it gave compatibility issues and crashes so I had to revert it, and in AMD site it only shows drivers for Ryzen 5 3500u processor, should I install those for this machine? I don't want it to start showing 'this graphics drivers that you have installed are no compatible, etc, etc , etc' and causing crashes with media programs (games, browser, video players, etc) hope you can help me with this, thank you.
  14. Hey everyone! I'm having a weird issue with my 6800 XT where it's just not detected at all. Device Manager doesn't even have a tab for display adapters despite getting a video signal from the GPU, and GPU-Z was completely blank when I checked. To make it weirder, when I went to try installing both an older driver and the latest ones I get error 182; from what I understand, this insunuates that the installer knows I'm using AMD graphics but it's not recognizing the exact model. Has anyone run into this before? The closest problem I could find was people who at least had the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter visible in device manager, but even that's missing for me. For more context this happened after using DDU in safe mode, as I was experiencing driver timeouts and BSODs after downgrading from the latest driver. Running on the latest BIOS (updated after the issue occured, didn't fix), and specs are on my profile. Thanks in advance to anyone who can offer their help!
  15. Hi, I made a post here a month ago (Previous post) where I had a problem of my second monitor flashing black at random intervals. I've tried changing monitors, HDMI cables, power cords... and other things in the softwere. I've totally unistalled my Display drivvers with DDU and reinstalled them and nothing... The only thing that has kinda worked is turning off my Intel Intergrated graphics (INTEL HD Graphics 530). The problem with this solution, is that when I do it, my laptop dosen´t detect my second monitor an the second monitor only displays a mirrored image of my integrated laptop display. Becouse of that (the problem of flashing going when the Intel Integrated Graphics are turned off), I assume that the problem is with the Intel device. Any help or solution is welcomed WhatsApp Video 2023-01-06 at 8.07.25 AM.mp4
  16. Hey. I got a new HP desktop and I was trying to use some Tewell TV speakers (model T-232) and it ruined my sound drivers somehow so I am now installing a new audio driver, but the download speed on Opera GX can't get over 30 kilobytes and the network limiter from Opera isnt on, ive let Opera use all the system resources it can, it wont use over 1% of the CPU, and it wont use over .71 gb of ram. I have a i5-12400 12th gen and 8GB of ram. Please help.
  17. I just got a new computer and after installing windows and some updates my monitor went black. I reset the PC and when I typed my credentials to log in the monitor immediately went black again but the computer was still on. I reinstalled windows and after installing updates again I found out this only happens after installing the driver for my graphics card. I also tried going into safe mode to remove all drivers and doing a clean install on the newest drivers but the problem kept happening. I'm now at a point that when I uninstall all drivers and go into windows the pc works, but as soon as I plug my ethernet cable and connect to the internet it automatically downloads some driver or something and the monitor goes black again. I've tried two different monitors with both hdmi and displayport. I currently have a ryzen 5800x, 3070ti, Asus prime b550m. Let me know if there is anything else I can provide.
  18. Hi, I've got an issue with driver installation for my HP NC523SFP+ 10GBe card. Since the Qlogic changed their website to marvell I am unable to find drivers for qle3242 chip. Could someone provide the extracted files for the driver installation or any other solution? Because all of the executables that installs the drivers automatically failes. In addition I provide the screenshot of message that Windows gives me when I try to do automatic installation.
  19. Having a bit of problem with windows update. My download is stuck at 100% for 3 hours now. I've tried restarting to redownload the update. But it got stuck again at Downloading - 100%. Can anyone tell me how to fix this problem? Also, in my windows update screen "Some settings are managed by your organization" this message is being shown. When I click "View configured update policies" it says 'Exclude drivers from Windows quality updates'. I don't know why this is showing. Can anyone tell me how can I fix it? Or is there any need to fix this? Since I don't want windows to update my drivers.
  20. The Computer and Accessories in Question: Redux PC (Pre-build) - Specs can be found here. Running on Windows 11 (Most Recent Version) Headphones in question: Sony WI-XB400 The Issue: I have a pair of Sony Bluetooth headphones which I've been using on my PC. I'll go through long periods (30min, sometimes an hour) where the audio is fine. Randomly, the audio will stutter or drop out for a second and come right back in. The worst cases of this are the audio cutting in and out over the course of 10 seconds (which was the longest it happened). The Bluetooth never disconnected and the headphones are fully charged. The issue has to be related to the Bluetooth itself but I can't identify what that could be. What I've Tried: I ran a Windows Troubleshooter for the Bluetooth and it DID identify a problem with it. It listed "Check Bluetooth Radio Status" but stated that issue was fixed. Checked my drivers for updates and everything on the system is listed as being most up to date and correct. I disconnected and removed the headphones from the Bluetooth and reset the Bluetooth completely. I then turned it back on and re-paired the headphones in hopes that would reset the issue. Hasn't changed. When I open my Bluetooth drivers I'm seeing six different drivers listed, 2 of which are marked as my headphones, but the others aren't familiar to me. You can find the full listing here. The bottom two I know are for my headphones but the rest above are either Bluetooth processes or random drivers unrelated/unfamiliar to me.. I don't know if these are all correct or if maybe they're all separate Bluetooth processes and are competing for the same signal? I'm just guessing but I'm curious if anyone has an idea.
  21. I transfered my NVMe SSD with OS and a 2.5" SSD from my gaming laptop (i7 8750H + 1070) to a desktop build (R3 3200G, 1070, B450). After the first time I booted it up it took some time and a few restarts + driver isntallations to get everything right (graphically) but then everything worked good. Now I placed the SSDs back in my laptop and Windows cannot find my laptop 1070, the GPU shows up in the bios and in the Asus ROG gaming centre. If I boot it from integrated graphics it shows the Intel graphics, if i boot it from "discrete graphics" there is nothing in the task manager or device manager. I already tried uninstalling windows updates, boot in safe mode, uninstall nvidia drivers, uninstalled geforce experience, uninstalled from device manager but nothing helped. Can someone help me please? I already checked out and tried 2 pages of google results but nothing helped me. Thanks!
  22. Hi there I'm looking for some guidance, I watched the LTT on old GPUs in today's world using amernime zone and wondered what would be the correct download for the AMD Radeon R9 290? I've tried with some to no avail and I'm looking to see if I have; 1 the right download and 2 if I'm installing it correctly. Any install guides would be greatly appreciated also. Thank you for your time
  23. I have a strange situation. Bought a new PC (specs lower). I am using my old monitor, mouse, keyboard, speakers and mic from my old one. Everything was working fine there. Randomly my monitor and usbs restart (I know about the usbs because I have a led on my mic that turns on when it does that). It sometimes happen 1-2 times per hours, other times goes on for 6-7 hours without any issues. I am not able to find a pattern. Note: The PC came assembled (because I didn't really want to spend time with that... but seems I had to do it anyway). What I found out so far: - it doesn't seem to be related with power consumption, it actually seems to happen more often when in idle or barely started up (I benchmarked the hell out of it and had no issues, then in the middle of a movie or something it just does it). - it doesn't seem to be video or chipset driver related (tried downgrading, upgrading, nograding and any other "grading" you can think of; but if anyone thinks I may have missed something I'm glad to try again) - gpu temperature doesn't seem to affect it (my gpu never goes over 70 C) - I don't really know how normal this is, but my chipset is rather hot (hottest thing in my pc actually), running at 68-75 in idle (never goes over 90 in full load, but it felt strange; I assume the huge gpu makes it hard to cool down) - the CPU package can hit 90 C after hours in full load (cores themselves are rather cool, under 80, I think I saw an 86 once for a few seconds in a benchmark but not sure) What I tried already: - drivers fiddling - checked each and every cable inside the pc for loose connections, bendings, etc. found the front usb 3.1 cable not being fully inserted (so I fully removed it because I don't use them anyway) What I haven't done: - didn't fully dismantled the pc to check for metalic stuff behind motherboard (looked as much as I could without taking it off and didn't notice anything; I don't hear any noises so I don't think is anything under there); the reason I didn't do it is that the cable management is rather good, but the guys instead of using something that can be removed to tie the cables used some stuff that needs to be cut and I would rather not dismantle the board unless I really have to (supper annoying to do that in this case) - didn't take out the cpu to see if it has any bent pins or something (because normally that would've create way bigger issues, and I have no thermal paste to replace) I am fully stuck, and don't know how to continue. Any ideas? 24. I've been trying to get two NVIDIA graphics cards to play nice, and while they did for a while, I've broken something and I'm out of ideas on how to fix it. Any advice would be welcome. I have an RTX 3080 and a GT 710 installed, and had been successfully using them to drive 6 monitors (4 from the 3080, 2 from the 710) for a few weeks. I had to install the latest drivers from NVIDIA's website for the 710 to get it working, as the latest drivers for the 3080 don't support the 710 anymore. Earlier today I made the mistake of hitting the update button in GeForce Now, which installed the latest drivers for the 3080, giving me 2 blank screens from the 710. Windows Device Manager still shows both cards, but has a "Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device" error message on the 710. Installing the latest 710 drivers again fixed its 2 attached monitors, but that now leaves the 3080 with the same "Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device" error, and the associated blank screens on its monitors. I tried using DDU in Windows' safe mode to clear out everything before reinstalling the 710 drivers, but it didn't seem to make a difference. Are there any more troubleshooting steps I should try, or any driver magic I should know about? UPDATE: I installed the latest 3080 drivers and rebooted (without DDU). Logged in, and after a minute or two of me gazing into the abyss not touching anything, the two monitors attached to the 710 came to life and started working again. As far as I can tell after some investigation, Windows automatically downloaded and installed an entirely different version of the NVidia drivers (version 456.71, released in October 2020), which was an older driver that supported both the 3080 and the 710. I didn't know such a driver existed, and more searching led me to find the latest NVidia driver that supported both the 3080 and the 710: version 472.12, released in September 2021. What led me astray while looking for the latest 710 driver was some security patches NVidia published after they ended their "Game Ready Driver" support for the 710 - these non-"Game Ready Driver" drivers apparently don't work with the 3080 (or most modern cards). The most recent Game Ready Driver for the 710, version 472.12, is the magic bullet that I was looking for. If mods want to delete this since it's pretty obscure and probably just clutter, feel free to do so.
  25. After sometime of playing games (usually 20-60min) my pc crashes with either or both a loud repeating-ish sound and a near blackscreen, some colours remain however those seem to be oversaturated. The PC runs just fine up until the very point it crashes. I recently reintsalled windows after I had some BSOD problems with my new systems and CPU driver, now those problems are gone I expierence seemingly GPU related crashes. I always already uninstalled and reinstalled my GPU drivers. Thanks for help in advance! Edit: Games I play and experience the crashes with are, as those are the only ones I played on this system so far, are Civ IV, Valorant and Satisfactory. Civ IV and Satisfactory also give me an error code with Exception Violation Access, idk if they are related though.
