I am tiring to build my self a gaming pc with black and white colour scheme. So far I have the case and fans. I went for AMD CPU as they are way cheaper than Inter same as Motherboard. And here is where you come guys I need your help, is this/will be good pc for gaming? Also I switch to 4k once I have at least one fury GPU. I had a dream about AMD, where I woke up in the morning, to make myself some tea. So I reached my hand into the box of teabags, pulled one out, and on it says Threadripper. I looked at the teabag which was a shiny metallic silver wrapper, that blinds you, as it reflects under a light, you know this is some serious tea. Then I thought to myself, this probably way to much in the morning, maybe I should just go with the ones I normally drink, but this Threadripper tea has 16 cores and 32 threads! I decided for a good minute or so, like should I go with Threadripper tea or normal tea. I finally made my decision and when with the Threadripper tea, and instead of just 1 bag, I took 2 bags, that's a combine total of 32 cores and 64 threads of awesome-tea-ness! As I was about to make my Theadripper tea, I woke up and went to make tea IRL. And as I was reaching into the box of teabags, my mind was still thinking I actually have Threadripper tea, instead when I pulled the teabag out, it was just the regular tea, and Threadripper tea was nowhere to be found. I then realized it was just a dream, and I'm sad that I never got a chance to try it, and there is no such thing as Threadripper tea. I know this can be a status update, but I just wanted to share my awesome and sad dream with everyone.

Hello everyone! This here's an open discussion on my dream build, that I'm also determined to make my first. The basic concept around this one is basically to build a monolith of a computer, with a black theme to it. This project, is very much in its preplanned stage, and I don't expect it to actually start unfolding soon (unless a financial miracle happens ) Back to cooler stuff. I've been building and repairing PC's as a hobby for 12 years now but for the last few years I've had this idea of wanting to wall mount and water cool all my game consoles and PC. I liked the idea of having everything in one place. I need to start off by saying that i'm completely aware there is no significant benefit to water cooling game consoles, please understand that its purely an aesthetic thing for me. I love the look of anything water cooled so lets face it, at this point water cooling a potato would look pretty good to me. I was living alone with a mortgage so this dream was financially out of reach for me, moving back home recently removed that obstacle and finally allowed me to realize my dream. All up the main bulk of the project took me a few weeks to complete but 100% completion took a couple of months, for some reason its the final little things that seem to drag and take up a lot of time. The project consists of an XBOX 360, PS3, PS4 and Intel/NVIDIA PC (i5-4670k/GTX 970). Thats all cooled by a Quad, Dual and single radiator with 2 D5 pumps pushing the coolant. I'm pretty happy with the end result though if one day I happen make a new 2.0 version of it there are a few things I would change. either way I hope you enjoy. Starting the Backlit Company Logos Undercoat Applied Perspex cut for logos Painting the perspex Painted the Logos White topcoat painted Logos mounted, board mounting begins. xbox mounted, ps4 started. Tested the logos I made and realized there wasn't enough light shining through the paint. A few minutes of research later I found the Translucent perspex i needed to achieve the glowing look I wanted, purchased. Couldn't remove the vinyl logos I made off the perspex without damaging them so i got new ones professionally made with a much better result. stuck them on the new perspex I cut and wallahh! Wall mounts mounted and LED strip lights installed Testing time... Some glowing shots... At this point I couldnt find any more 7/16 clear tubing so I changed from barbed to 1/2 inch compression fittings and got new 1/2 inch tubing. Its complete More photos.... Ran a switch for the cooling system (pumps, fans, led strips) And this is where i finish....It was a long and fruitful journey..

As stated in the title : Do you have a dream? And I'm not talking about World Peace here ? or about "flying" to the far end of the universe "To Boldly Go Where No Man Has Gone Before..." ? I mean a goal... Something you really want to achieve and are ready to commit time, ressources and who you are in order to one day be able to look at yourself in the mirror and say "I did it!" It's ok if you don't. Some people will find very early in age something that will be their goal in life (and sometime this "goal" will change) and some people don't (ever) and they don't need one. Me ? I had a few, I'm working very hard at one of them atm (my daughter, project of a life time to see her grow up, evolve and become the person she wants to be) but I discovered recently a new one ? It's this :

[3DMark] | [GPU-Z] | [CPU-Z] CPU: Intel i7 4930k Overclocked @ 5.0 Ghz GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 780ti SC w/ACX Cooler & EVGA GeForce GTX 780ti (x4 in SLI) Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws-Z 64GB (8 x 8) DDR3 2400Mhz Quad Channel Kit Mainboard/Motherboard: Asus P9X79-E WS Power Supply: Corsair Ax1500i Fully Modular 80+ Titanium Case: Corsair Obsidian Series 900D Storage: Samsung 840 EVO 1TB (x2 No Raid) & Seagate Barracuda 3TB (x2) CPU Cooler: Custom Loop CPU: The extra cores and threads on the i7 4930K made it a clear choice to me due to a lot of the different applications I use being designed to utilize multiple threads. GPU: When I originally purchased the system the Titan Black was still a rumor and wasn't released. The 780ti was the king of all GPUs and because it was both the best gaming GPU on the planet while at the same time offering 2,880 CUDA cores I truthfully couldn't see any better choice. Memory: My old system had 32GB of DDR3 1600Mhz memory and while that is a significant amount I ended up constantly running out due to the sheer number of applications and services I had running on a normal basis. I figured that it would be good to double up on the amount and get memory with a higher but not insane clock speed. Mainboard/Motherboard: The P9X79-E WS was the only board I could find with support for 4 GPUs running in SLI at PCI-E Gen3 x16. And that combined with the excellent build quality of Asus workstation boards made it an easy choice. Power Supply: At first I had an 80+ Silver Thermaltake ToughPower 1350W Semi-Modular power supply and while it was functional, the level of noise, the horrible cables, and the lack of it being fully modular convinced me that it would eventually have to go. So now a few months after the initial build I have now replaced it with the Corsair Ax1500i. Now, I can't say enough good things about it. The Corsair link software is surprisingly easy to use and the power supply itself being completely silent is also a plus. Case: It's a 900D, cable management is easy as hell and the room for radiator expansion is incredible. Enough said. Storage: The Samsung 840 EVO is a reliable, fast SSD. Cant say more than that. CPU Cooler: Better temps, looks better than an H100i. I just woke up from a dream about showing my new build to Linus. I was sitting right next to him in an office as if we were working together. I ask him if I told him about my new build and he gets really giddy about it. He comes over to my computer and there's one particular part he is really excited about; some industrial looking outtake fans. He has two in one of his other builds and shows me exactly how powerfuld they are. When I stick my head into the air path it's like sitting behind a jet taking off. Both the noise and the heat is immense. I happily yell "This is gonna be SO good in the winter!!" And then I woke up. Well, have a great sunday everyone! :-)
