Can you tell me how to make stable my FPS on DOTA 2 or did I miss something on my NVIDIA settings or on my system? Thanks in advanced. Sorry for my bad English.

Recently bought an Acer NItro 5 gaming computer and after some installation I ran some games on it. To my surprise the games didn't run as I expected them to be. Opened Dota 2 and it was hitting around 50 to 70 fps average on high settings. It is supposed to run on at least 100fps on high settings. I saw a lot of youtube videos online watching the laptop easily hitting well over 100fps on Dota 2. The laptop has a core I5 9300H processor with a Gtx 1650 and has a 4GB DDR4 ram installed. It has a 512gb ssd storage. I've tried everything including uninstalling and reinstalling GeForce Experience and the Nvidia drivers and nothing is working for me. What is the problem probably and how can I fix it?

Hello PC geeks! I need your guidance in helping me better my build. 1. Budget & Location Preferably under 900$ and location is Ottawa, Canada. I am willing to nudge the budget up a bit if necessary. 2. Aim I am planning to build a new PC to play medium-end games like dota2, wow and possibly playing around with Source 2. These 2 are the most demanding program that I want to run, other stuff that I want to do are programming and some minor video editing (for bug reporting). 3. Monitors I already have an ASUS 1080p monitor and planning to get another one when I have the cash. 4. Peripherals Only Windows 10. 5. Why are you upgrading? I am using an old laptop to play my games, other than this microwave I have Surface 3 which is no good either lol. Here's the build I am currently planning to buy: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/user/ApparateCode/saved/#view=wysbt6 Thanks beforehand!

Hi, I am very new to PC building and still learning about its concepts. I mostly play MOBAs (Dota 2) and CS:GO. Thinking about playing the Batman Arkham games as well. I would like a recommendation from you guys out there of what I should be doing or upgrading on my build for better fps/ gaming performance. Currently my fps when playing is around 80-90 fps on max settings in 1080p, would like to reach the tasty 120 fps for a smoother gaming experience. Should I already be having 120 fps for this setup? Is there ways to boosting fps or should I just flat out upgrade a component? CPU: AMD FX 6300 MB: GIGABYTE 78LMT-S2 GPU: 2GB GIGABYTE GTX 950 WINDFORCE 2X OC RAM: 8gb (2x4gb) 1600 G.Skill Sniper CL9 PSU: Deepcool DE500 (500W) STORAGE: 1TB WD Blue 7200 RPM HDD Running Windows 10 P.S tried running Dota 2 on dx9 and dx11; 32 bit, 64 bit. No noticeable differences. For future references what would you recommend for me to upgrade to keep up with games in the future. Any help is appreciated

Hey guys, I'm new here and this is my first post I play Dota 2 and I'm looking for a gaming mice, I'm not really up to Razer products, and the non-Razer products available on the store is SteelSeries. SteelSeries Rival 300 and SteelSeries Sensei, I don't know what to choose and what's best for me. Which is better for Dota? Which is more comfortable? What's the difference between Optical and Laser? I never had a gaming mice so.. Should I go for cheaper? the Rival's price is about 1,800 PHP which is 38 USD and the Sensei's is 3,600 and is about 77 USD ('cuz of taxes) Help me choose, Thanks!

Hi. I play Dota 2 on a amateur level, but as i recently have gotten 6,5 K mmr I started to feel the desire to get a good rig and play the game as it should be, as now I am playing it on a forcebootcamped macbook 2010 with windows 10 connected to my Asus vg248qe. The idea is that I need the cheapest stable build to handle the game at mid-high settings at 144 fps and literraly nothing else. I do own a PS4 for my casual games and this build has literally no other purpose besides Dota. Note: I do not need a hard drive in it, a decent 128 GB ssd is all the storage I need. There are literally no preferences towards AMD/Intel or AMD/Nvidia, I would gladly accept a build idea that even assumes overcloacking, as long as it is tested and stable. Guys, those of you who will come up with ideas will really help me! And if you just want to generally talk about my plans feel free to comment. For exemple: I am still not quite sure about the desired fps, the plan is that I need something that will fully profit over my Asus vg248qe ( except the Nvidia 3D stuff, that is not obligatory). Looking forward for your help, I have always been impressed by the power of the community to come up over with good ideas that would save me time and money, as well as offering me good lessons and interactions with experienced people. Note: Streaming 1080 60 fps Dota would be a nice feature, but not obligatory, but recording stable gameplay however is. I know that Shadowplay does it with low recources, so I am still debating over Nvidia.

Hi everyone, can you help me answer my questions? My brother and sister always blames me as the cause why the net is slow, why the vids in youtube buffers whenever I play DOTA2(an online MOBA). They say I consume most of the bandwith(or whatever the term for measurement of eating internet speed). They are connected via wifi with their ipads, tablets and phones, while me, my PC is connected via LAN cable. also we use internet usually at the same time of the day, at night, because we are usually out during the day. Are they right on their accusations? that playing DOTA2 is eats up bandwith that much? bytheway: I live in a country where internet speed is pain in the a**.

My PC freezes like this whenever I play these 2 particular games: CSGO and DOTA 2 Other games run fine and can be played for many hours without problems. I've noticed that the LED indicating the hard disk is busy/running will turn off whenever the PC freezes. This problem happens randomly and it happens whether I overclock my system or not. The pics below are taken when the PC freezes during a game in CSGO. Mouse LED is on Power LED is on but HDD LED is off CPU/GPU/Case fans are running Keyboard LED is off Screen freezes and nothing moves Click here for the video on YouTube Specs: CPU: Intel Core i5-6600K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor CPU Cooler: CRYORIG R1 Universal 76.0 CFM CPU Cooler Motherboard: Asus Z170 PRO GAMING ATX LGA1151 Motherboard Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-2400 Memory Storage: Intel 530 Series 240GB 2.5" Solid State Drive Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 4GB WINDFORCE Video Card Case: Cooler Master HAF 912 Advanced ATX Mid Tower Case Power Supply: SeaSonic S12II 620W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 Pro OEM (64-bit) Wireless Network Adapter: TP-Link TL-WN881ND 802.11b/g/n PCI-Express x1 Wi-Fi Adapter Monitor: Acer XB240H ABPR 144Hz 24.0" Monitor Keyboard: Corsair Vengeance K70 Wired Gaming Keyboard Mouse: Razer Abyssus Mirror Special Edition Wired Optical Mouse Headphones: SteelSeries Siberia v3 Headset Speakers: Sharp XL-HF202 Micro Hi-Fi System

My everyday struggle

Hello everybody, So I built myself a good computer, here are some specs : - Asus Crosshair V Formula-Z Motherboard - Sapphire R9 390X 8G - AMD FD9590 - Corsair Watercooling - Samsung EVO 850 SSD - Corsair RM850 power supply - BenQ XL2411Z 144Hz monitor - etc. (no overclocking) I don't have to complain but I think my computer should do better that what it is doing now. I play games and most of all Dota 2. With all graphics setting to max, at 1080p, it can go to 50-60FPS, 70 if no unit on screen. I mean, if I only play like that I am OK with this, but if I want to stream or record a video while I am playing, FPS drops to 15-20. I know that it is still AMD, Intel CPU should be better (even if I don't understand very well the difference), but still, I have a 4.7Ghz 8 core proccessor and a great GPU too ! I feel my PC can do better, or there is something I dont understand. I have the latest AMD drivers, I tried different settings but nothing works. Do I have to overclock my CPU ? do I have to ugrade it ? buy an Intel one ? am I missing something ? or is it just normal ? Thank you in advance.

As the title say i got super high ping(usually about 90ms but i got spikes from 1000 to 4000) and packet loss (spikes from 1% to 50%) playing dota 2 for about 2 weeks today... so as i saw the absurde high ping and packet loss i contacted my isp and told them, they said that they are only resposable for internet browsing and not for games... i don't know what to do... i tried to ping trought cmd the servers i usually connect to for about 2 hours and i got average ping 39(wich seems strange) max ping 696(......) and 8% packet loss; the problem is i cannot change my isp cause my isp have all the country internet under his propriety so even if i change isp i would still use their cables... anyone got some tips to try to resolve my problem ? i don't know if here is the right forum's session so let me know thx

So Nvidia posted this video yesterday showing that a 650 is out preformed by a 950 in terms of actual click registration in DotA2. Not much info was available in the video I am just curious how accurate this really is or if its just a marketing scheme.

Hello, fellow PC gamers, I have been playing a lot of DotA 2 lately, and I have a question. Is there a reason to toggle the aura on the Ring of Basilus or Aquila off?

Hi all, I want to ask will it cause any delay or lag in-game(dota2) if I use a wifi adapter to play? The model of the wifi adapter is TP-link TL-WN727N and it's connected to a desktop with no built-in wifi. The distance between the desktop and the router is about 3 metres. In other words, playing games like dota2 or csgo using wifi adapter will cause any unnecessary lag or delay? thanks in advance!

I launched Dota2 and I realised there was a huge drop in my performance, last night I was playing at 60 FPS locked with Vsync and today, it ranges from 25 to 40. I restarted my computer and I noticed my CPU only has 2 cores now, I go into the BIOS and the options are how they should be, the CPU core unlock option is enabled, and I checked msconfig too, it is put at 4 processors. Also I noticed with GPU-Z that when playing, my GPU load is usually only at about 40-60%, and the core speed doesn't exceed 1032MHz even though when I'm usually playing it's at ~1300MHz. The GPU temperature never exceeds 39 celsius which really only shows me my GPU is not even trying to do any work. What do you think happened ? Last night everything was ok, I had all 4 cores and GPU was allocating resources to the games I was playing. I own pretty sub-average hardware, it's what some would say; GTX 750 Ti the Gigabyte model and an AMD Phenom II x2 555.

1. Budget & Location Budget : Around 700-$800 ( $1 = 22 000 VND , so around 14 000 000 VND ) . You can go lower than that if the performance don't suffer . Location : Ho Chi Minh city , Vietnam . You will have to crosscheck price and availability from PcPartpicker with here : http://tandoanh.vn/trang-chu/ or here : http://phongvu.vn/ 2. Aim Just Maxing out Dota 2 . But I wonder how the build handles other games as well ( Like Evolve or Don't Starve ) 3. Monitors I already have a monitor : Samsung SA350 18,5" 1366x768 . 4. Peripherals I probably will need OS and a keyboard ( It's membrane , I miss my old HP keyboard , buttons feels more solid than my new one ) . You can skip the mouse and Audio ( It's not that good but in my standard I think they are " okay " ( Which is a EBLUE mouse I believed , don't judge ... ) 5. Why are you upgrading? Because I have an 8 year old computer and have a broken HDD ( It bluescreen while I was typing this ) ... So Yeah ...

This is my first post here so be easy on me  So i have overclocked my asus gtx770 dcuii and the overclock is stable i have done a long burn in with valley and furmark plus borderlands 2 at max and i get no crash nor any artifacts but i have a problem with dota 2 that's is so freaking frustrating! When i play dota 2 i sometimes(every game) get red flashes like red background frames( trees ground etc but not the hero i have seen it so many times that i know where it is by now lol) but its like i said a flash for an instant i get a red frame of the background what i dont get is why can this happen. I was baffled by this so i set everything on afterburner on factory clocks and i continued my game and suddenly no red flashes so i am like *what the actual fuck* i put the clocks back to my stable oc and run freaking borderlands 2 and play for like an hour! What i found out was so freaking strange. Constant 60 fps no freaking artifact or any problem at all. So any advice why only dota 2 does this would be so freaking helpful! i just cant wrap my mind around this kind of problem. FYI i have re-downloaded the game and nothing changed i used ddu same thing dota is the only game i get the problem so please for the love of god help me!
