I'm trying to play Doom Infinite (GZDoom wad running off Doom 2) on a 64bit Ubuntu 22.04 system (and I've switched on Wayland). At random intervals I'm getting my screens both freezing and sometimes it will fix itself after a bit and I'll see these log10 singularity errors in the console. Sometimes it will crash and I can see the log. But most of the time it will just sit there frozen for a long time and I'll have to REISUB reboot my laptop. While frozen I can still hear videos running in the background, I can hear they are switching to the next video in the autoplay youtube queue so even the internet still works. But Discord will crash almost immediately. I'm pretty new at linux and not having this issue on my PC. I've checked the WADs discord and there was only one other mention of log10 singularity errors but they said it's odd that its freezing my computer. I've ran the ubuntu software autoupdater and am pretty sure that includes the GPU driver being up to date. I've tried fullscreen, windowed, using recommended settings. What can I do to troubleshoot?

Hey can anyone help me with a pos device. I have a spare pax global A50 which runs a lockdown version of Android. It only runs a single payment app but at starting it shows Android load screen and then load the software.A50_EN_20230217_Contactless_EMEA.pdf I have tried many softwares like paydroid and box light. Paydroid didn't work for me or the version I can't make it work and box light a software I saw on a YouTube video I was unable to find. I have accidentally triggered the anti temper detection so I think flashing a fresh install is my only option. It works like a normal Android phone by pressing volume up and power button it shift into "firmware download mode" a fast boot with proprietary crap. And I know salvaging this device is not worth it but it will be the first pos to run doom.

Can an Aegis B60 vap run doom, the answer I have right now is maybe, I mean we've gotten doom to run on a bunch of weird stuff. Here I am today to find out what is or isn't possible before I dive in and try to figure this out, so the manufacturer said it has no memory for running games and that it's firmware is on a chipset. So I'm thinking maybe a highly custom firmware that basically just has a doom port on it, or I rip it apart and modify it the way they did the pregnancy test and lcd screen. Now I know if we do that it's basically guaranteed to work, what I want to try to do is get doom on it and keep the vape itself working. Any ideas or advice appreciated because I'll admit I need to do more research before even attempting to upload anything to it's chipset or modifying it. The people at geekvape advised against this obviously but, they did give me some helpful information on their device and advised against hacking into it or loading on third party firmware, but they also told me to factory reset it if need be to get it back to its old self. So I see this as a we don't recommend it but want to see it response

Summary On Sunday, YouTuber Samperson uploaded a video in which he played DOOM within Windows Notepad. The developer claims that DOOM may be run without any modifications to Notepad. The video already got over half a million views. This project was even cool enough to get John Romero, one of the creators of Doom, to react on Twitter. "Incredible," John Romero says in a tweet responding to Chiet. Quotes My thoughts Right when you thought you've seen DOOM run on just about everything, someone comes up with a new way to run it. I think this is cool, adding to the long list of what we've seen DOOM run on. Having John Romero chime in is also pretty sweet too, I must say. Hopefully the creator of this releases the tools soon to be able to do this yourself. I also think it running at 60 fps is surprising. Heya everyone! As you all know, Doom runs on everything and it's a meme to run it on the most crazy kinds of hardware. I wonder what the limits would be. The few ideas I had sound crazy and I have no idea if anyone thought of it before. Motherboard chipsets. They are literally just microcontrollers technically. A TV remote. There is plenty of smart TV remotes with insane features. So I wonder if it would be doable. They must be running some basic capable hardware. Nanoleaf Panels. If you had like a million of them, they could work as a screen technically. Not sure how capable the "base stations" are. Anyways, stay safe everyone, Have a nice day

Hey, Me and some friends of mine recently had the idea of making an open-source remake of Doom 1. This project will be made for educational purposes and we will make no money, so we won't have any problems with the rights of the game. What we want right now is: C# programmers, with basic knowledge about game development. Python Programmers Html Programmers 3d Animation Designers 2d Animation Designers A writer (Although, our game will 100% be based on the original story) Music and Sound Effects artist If you want to join our team just send an e-mail on doom1remake@gmail.com (emails with attachments will automatically be deleted) and we will inform you as soon as possible!!! Hi guys, So today I downloaded Doom eternal from the Xbox app through the Xbox Game pass. For about the first hour the game ran really smooth, not a single problem. Playing on the Ultra present, 144fps+ no problem. I got toward the end of the first mission and that's when the good stopped. I started having random FPS drops to like 25fps for no apparent reason. One second the game was running smooth 144fps, then like a flick of a switch the game would be limited to 25fps till I restarted the game. After getting frustrated a little, I quit playing for a couple hours. I came back and the FPS issues seemed to have gone away but I have a completely different issue making the game unplayable... Ill load into the game and into the main menu fine, start the mission and after like 30 seconds, the screen will just randomly go black for a second or two and come back, and it happens over and over again randomly. While the screen is black I can still move around and play the game and can hear the audio, just no video at all. I really have no idea what could be the issue as I literally didn't change anything from when I played the game before when it was running fine. I have my GPU drivers updated to the latest update and haven't updated them in the time where it was running smooth to this problem. Specs: CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700X GPU: MSI GamingZ RTX 2060 Motherboard: ASRock B450M pro4 RAM: Corsair 16GB DDR4 Monitor: HP 25X 1080p 144hz 16:9

Hi all, I just recently bought DOOM Eternal on Steam. The specs of my rig are: CPU - Intel i7 6700 GPU - ROG RTX2070 Super RAM - 16GB Monitor - LG 2560x1080 Ultrawide (75Hz) Unfortunately, the game is unplayable for me due to random drops in frame rate down to single digits. These drops occur seemingly at random whether I'm walking down a straight corridor or in the middle of combat. When the game is working I usually have a comfortable 150 fps. I am playing on the Ultra nightmare preset with Gsync off. I am also having a smaller issue with screen tearing. Does anyone have any advice? Edit: I can also confirm that I have the latest drivers installed and I have verified the game files in Steam.

I remember history well, once the mining profits goes boom the market will be flooded with used cards and the new cards will be over stocked... Now what time frame are we speaking of before Etherium and others starts to be unprofitable to mine with RX 6000 and 30-series GPUs? When will we see the ASIC take over again?

Hey everyone, I recently found myself bored again, and wanted to try and play some custom DOOM WADs like Valiant, Hurt, etc. using GZDoom on Mac OS. When I use commercial WADs like Ultimate Doom, Doom 2, TNT, and Plutonia, it works fine. However, when I download the custom WADs and add them to the GZDoom folder, none of them are detected by the GZDoom launcher. I'm wondering if any of you know how to load and play these custom WADs, maybe there's something missing in GZDoom? I'm a total noob at this, and will take any advice you guys can offer.

So I started playing Doom Eternal about a week ago, and I had the same surprise from when I had played the first one not long after launch date. It is so easy to drive on ultra settings 3440x1440 that my fps is skyrocketing when I don't limit it to 120 (fps is considerably higher than other games on my computer), and it makes me wonder what gives. Are the textures not so heavy or what? PS.: My pc specs are available on my profile.

Trying this again... My PC continues to shut down out of nowhere while I’m playing games like DOOM Eternal or Tetris Effect. No error message, no nothing. Just turns off and starts back up again. And I wiped and reinstalled my Windows 10 installation 3 days ago and I continue to have the problem. The only sort of error I can find is in the Windows Event Viewer with Critical level events and they’re all as follow: ”The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly” Source: Kernel-Power Event ID: 41 Task Category: (63) While I can’t see while I’m playing, I use AMD Link on my iPhone to see temperatures and other things and they’re all just fine if you ask me. Hard to even see the GPU over 80°. Hi. I'm trying to play DOOM Eternal at 120Hz but the game refuses to. I've gotten it to work some times but I have no idea how or why since it happens randomly. I have my PC at 1920*1080 120Hz before running the game and my TV supports FreeSync. But when I launch DOOM it switches to 60Hz even though I have its video settings to Adaptive Sync. Changing it to 120Hz using Hotkey Resolution Changer just makes thee game go black. If I move the mouse around I can hear the sounds of the menu so it's not frozen, changing it back to 60Hz brings it back. And I've gotten it to work twice now, but no idea how since it's likely luck Leaving the game with ALT+Tab, setting it back to 120Hz and then returning to the game also makes it go back to 60Hz. Turning off V-sync entirely makes the game run at higher refresh rates but leaves my TV stuck at 60Hz

I recently picked up doom on the nintendo switch because i wanted to be able to play it at work on lunch break, but the framerate seems to hover between 15 and 20 fps or so, is my switch overheating in the dock? I already added a drop in cooling mod to the dock, the switch was bought used, so maybe it needs new thermal paste, if so, what do i go with?

Hello ltt community members In have been having issues with doom recently. I have been trying to play doom on my Acer XR342CK (3440 x 1440 @75hz) on my 980 Ti and i have been having the thing where the fps locks at half refresh due to inconsistent performance so I thought that my 980 ti was struggling so I thought fine as my card is a tad old and this is pretty high resolution and my settings where still maxed out from my old 1080p monitor, so I lowered all of the settings, however, no difference so I thought this was a tad strange so I brought up the ingame performance metrics to see what was going on and to my suprise the GPU was not the issue but instead my 5930k was the holdup as the graph for the CPU was constantly red and I have tried everything I can think of such as process priority and high-performance mode in windows etc However one thing that didm work is going back to 16:9 reolution like 1440p, however, I want to use my ultrawide properly. I hope you can help! Many Thanks, Max

Hey there, folks. I dunno where else to put this, so I'll put it here. I've got a heavily Destiny-inspired boss encounter I've dropped ~50 hours into to get it all set up on SnapMap. A friend of mine wanted a fight that was somewhat similar to Emperor Calus, and if others could give it a shot for me, that'd be awesome. I'll have a video linked below. If anyone wants to try this on SnapMap, just search for "Apollyon" and choose either the regular or hard mode version. I'm explaining the hard mode though as it has the most going on. The way it's supposed to work is, you normally do too little damage to the boss to kill him. However, there are four "altars" that, when activated, will give you a damage buff for a short amount of time. To activate them, you need to complete some mechanics surrounding the two portals that are beside the boss. To keep the player moving, you lose 1 hp per 1.3 seconds, but killing adds inside the portals will restore enough HP to keep you going just fine. The portals will teleport you to one of four random rooms, but never the same room twice per round (the mechanics repeat), and each room has a different demon add inside it. Each room will either have Hell Knights, Cyber-Mancubus adds, Imps, or Spectres. You go into two portals per round, so you will kill two of those four each time. Alongside those four demons I just mentioned, there are also some adds that appear in every portal, but they have no bearing on further mechanics. When you clear both portals, each of the four demons I mentioned will appear on the altars in the main room; one per altar. Similar to Emperor Calus, you have to find the two demons you DIDN'T kill inside the portals and kill them here. The altars will then activate and you can get your damage buff, but they explode a few seconds after standing on them, so you can't use the buff forever. If you kill the wrong demon during the pre-altar phase, the fight will reset. To make this more straightforward, the correct demons will have a purple flame at the base of their altar. After you use all of the altars' buffs, two Barons of Hell will spawn that each re-open one of the portals when killed. The fight is rinse-repeat from here. Only extra is unkillable Revenants will start spawning in the main room, which are there simply to put more pressure on the player as time goes on. They only do 1-3 damage per shot, though. Anyway, enough explanation. Here's the video I mentioned: I noticed this was getting heavily downvoted on SnapMap for some reason, so honestly I'm just trying to figure out what in this sucks so bad as there's no method of feedback there. I put a ton of work into it and I think it's, overall, pretty polished. IMO I think it's just getting downvoted because it's difficult, but I could be wrong I guess. Tell me what sucks so I can fix it.
