Hello, so I recently came across computer problems. I have since then done chkdsk, sfc /scannow, crystal disk and hd sentinel to check for my ssd health. I reinstalled windows and as for the ram, I have used passmark for my RAMS and it tested passed. I had a 240 gb boot drive and a 120gb for games, and I noticed that my pc had frequent mini freezes. I changed my boot drive using the 120gb one and the 240gb one for the game drive. The drives in crystaldisk shows that they are good and the tests like chk dsk and sfc/scannow have no problems but I still have the issue even with the new OS installed. The 240gb drive was in a 91% condition in crystaldisk but I want to make sure if it has problems, so, is there a software like passmark where it will test and diagnose the drive in an extended set amount of time? I'd prefer if it is a free software too! Thank you very much!

Hello LTT community, I recently bought a MSI 3060 from amazon, new not refurbished. I don't think the card is the issue but the frames in many games I play have been having bad stutters to low fps. I get that the 3060 isn't a super powerful card; But I even tested it on Roblox and was getting bad stutters. I get stutters in modded Minecraft, satisfactory, GTA, Rd2, and a few more games I currently cannot think of. All my specs / system. are listed under my account, but ill paste them here. Help would be appreciated, Thanks. I have a custom-built tower PC that I bought a couple years ago. Ran fine for a while with an AMD FX-8350 CPU but still running it with the AMD R7-200 GPU (seems the weakest link in the system). The problem: its been crashing lately. A lot. Tried running Halo, Warframe, etc. which had always worked well but now it freezes up a few minutes in. No BSOD, no error message, just completely freezes and then I have to manually shutdown the machine (via external power button) and manually restart. I started using the AMD utility to keep logs anytime I try to play and can't quite make heads or tails of it (logs attached). GPU isn't overheating. On the most recent log, it looks like the GPU just...quit working?...and the CPU was struggling to pick up the slack. I don't currently have another GPU to experiment with that will fit this rig (Gigabyte GA-78LMT motherboard). Any help would be nice, I'd like to know that replacing the GPU will fix these problems before dropping some $$$. 20230530-201133.CSV 20230606-200714.CSV

Hey guys, about a month ago I bumped a ram stick accidently while my pc was on, it was a very soft bump. My pc instantly shutted down and started boot looping. After I reseated my ram it turned on normally. A week later my pc started bootlooping again I reseated my ram and it worked fine. I am running a b560m steel legend motherboard from asrock, 2 sticks of ram 8gbs from corsair at 3200mhz, a 11600k and the igpu. I did a memtest 86 diagnostic on both my memory sticks on the slot that could have been damaged when I bumped my ram with my hand and no errors where detected. My ram slots work fine apparently and I dont get the usual ram problems when I successfully boot, it's just that I have to reseat my ram from time to time. If I remove one of the ramsticks when my pc starts bootlooping it works just fine, if I reinsert the ram stick it bootloops but if I switch my ram sticks places my pc boots normally. What could be the problem? What was probably damaged? Thank you for the help!

I have had my pc for about a year or two but recently it’s been having a problem of turning off unexpectedly and repeating this issue. I have unplugged the gpu, tried unplugging and re plugging the gpu from the motherboard but nothing seems to work.

Before all of this happened let me explain it first. First of all my friend upgraded his pc by adding more hard drive into it. The first hard drive was from his old laptop and the other one is brand new which is there is no way it will cause any problems, but I forgot to re arrange the boot order. So instead booting from the main ssd that already in his pc, its booting from the old laptop hard drive which is slow af. Im a little bit suspicious with how it takes alot of time to boot from the hard drive, booting takes around 3 min and after getting into the windows its not responsive even he got a decent pc, It took 1 min to pop up windows start menu. But after that everything didint go as planned. Usually when i press the power button i can hear the fan going 100% and starts to run at the normal speed after one second or maybe half a second later (you know what i mean). But after booting from the old hard drive the fan doesnt do that little vroom after pressing the power button, also the system not post at all its just blank. I tried to clear cmos but nothing happened, the pc is just running with constant fan speed. After that happened i unplug all the sata cables hoping it will fix everything, also front panel connectors, even rgb mousepad and pheripherals, but it still doest post at all. I started to move every component to my working pc to diagnose which component is working. I literally moved everything ram sticks, cpu, gpu, even the psu, untill theres one thing left the motherboard. I suspect the motherboard as the cause of all these problems, because my friend always pirate everything. Games, softwares, even windows. So maybe the virus slows down everything and has corrupted the bios making the pc doent post at all. The main problem is : Pc runs and fan spins but it doent post at all, the monitor is on sleep like nothing is plugged in to the hdmi cable (i've tried to change the source option on the monitor). I have just built a new pc and am having an issue where the pc is fully restarting randomly, sometimes under very mild loads (chrome tasks, YouTube, downloading programs) as well as when idle. I am yet to have actually opened up a game but I would assume it would have the same outcome. I have done the usual steps of checking power cables at PSU and mobo/GPU, reseating ram and GPU, checked all connections to mobo, reflashed bios, reinstalled windows, with no effect. I am under the impression that the PSU is faulty but I have no experience with diagnosing power issues and am unsure where to start. Would anyone be able to help me out? Specs are: ryzen 5 5600x Fractal design s28+ Gigabyte b550 aorus elite v1 Gigabyte windforce rtx 980 (waiting on 3080 stock) 32gb gskill trident z neo 3600 cl16 1tb western black m.2 nvme 3tb Toshiba p30 HDD MSI mag a850gf Phanteks p500a

So, my PC is acting weird and I can't figure out what's the problem. Sometimes it just doesn't turn on but RAM rgb and keyboard lights up. Sometimes it turns on but gets stuck on BIOS splash screen. A couple of days ago it was not turning on at all so I removed the graphics card and it turned on but kept rebooting without going into windows. Also my screen sometimes go black and fans ramp-up to full but restarting fixes it I tried DDU didnt fix, though it hasn't happened for the last couple of days. At first I thought my GPU was shorted but it turns on and works fine most of the time, sometimes the PC decides not to turn on at all, so I am having second thoughts. Please Help. P.S GPU isn't overheating max it goes to is like 76c. Specs: Ryzen 5 2500. GIGABYTE B450M Motherboard. 16 GB 3000mhz RAM. EVGA FTW GTX 1070. Thermaltake Smart Series 750 Watts. (I know shit PSU kinda hoping its the PSU thats the problem and not the GPU.)

Hello I got a WD Bluw M.2 2280 SSD for my Asus Z97-A motherboard with a I7 4790k. The ssd isn't being detected in the bios, even though i set the PCIe option in advanced setting to M.2, also in windows the ssd isn't being detected in disk management options. I've tried scanning for new devices and updated my bios to the latest release. Is my drive dead? Am i doing something wrong with the PCIe lanes? please help!

PC Specs: CPU - Intel i7-5960x 8 core GPU - Asus 980 TI in SLI Mobo - Asus Strix X99 Gaming PSU - Corsair HX1000i Ram - Corsair 3000hz Storage - Samsun 960 EVO OS - Windows 10 Pro Monitors - 1 144hz and 1 60hz monitor Summary After upgrading to the new motherboard, cpu, m.2, and ram my system has been out of wack when it comes to frame rates. My graphics cards at idle are around 62 and 50 degrees. With my frame rates bouncing all over the place, today with both monitors at 60hz I was seeing a constant 85-115 frames in SLI. Before the swap I was seeing 250-580 when uncapped. Very rare I fell below 200 frames when playing League of Legends. Now It's rare I go over 200 frames. I can even tell on the desktop that I am losing frames when moving an image in photoshop. Things I Have Tried Rolling the drivers back Re-installing windows adding an OC profile removing an OC profile updating BIOS Description I am now completely lost. I think the motherboard itself is bad, but even in that case the frame rates should still be stable. Unless there is something I am missing in the bios, or a setting that I don't have turned on somewhere. Any help at all would actually be amazing, any information that you need I will get back to you as soon as possible. Thank you for your replies.

Hi, My Pc isn't displaying on my monitor and isn't powering my keyboard. My part list is: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/Superchamp01/saved/qm4KHx This isn't a new build, has been working now for over a year. I was thinking it could be an issue with the mobo as it is a multi-component issue, and the fans were spinning on GPU (although it may still not be working.) It turns on, no solution found using a mobo speaker, but doesn't display or send power to keyboard. Please help asap! Need my computer for exams and am quite screwed without it. Thanks, Armaan

My computer has been lagging and stuttering ever since I built it 1 and a half years ago. I decided to see what the problem was and got latencymon. I downloaded it, and it turns out that ntoskrnl.exe has a DPC latency of 237728.598611 . Sometimes, dxgkrnl.sys also like to join the party, with high ISR routine execution time. I've tried installing new network drivers, nvidia drivers, and clean install of windows, to no avail. I'm getting desperate now, to the point where I might just try to sell off what I can and build a new system. I've replaced the ram, mobo, tried iGPU, and took out the WiFi adapter. I've already tried many other forum posts, but none of them worked. Anyone know whats up? Here's the story: Just finish a Heist in GTA Online, close the game and leave my pc running on desktop. Goes into the kitchen to talk to my gf. Come back to my pc 10 minutes later, Screens are black (like in rest mode), mouse and keyboard lit, fans running at 100%. Click on mouse and keyboard, doesnt change anything. Press the reset button, nothing change. Hold the power buttom, doesnt do anything. The only way to shutdown is to close the switch behind the psu. So i shut the psu down, flip the psu on, power the PC, now only one Fan (on 5) spin, nothing on Screen. I've remove my GPU, change my ram, replug everything, nothing changed So yeah... Hi there, In August I got my girlfriend a Xiaomi laptop for her work. Got it off of Kijiji and was working like a charm until the beginning of August. This was around the time we purchased a longer USB-C charging cable. After this point the laptop has began to have increasingly more difficulty staying powered on or even powering on to begin with. If the laptop is used while not plugged in it may shut off randomly and without notice, despite having battery life. It's beginning to get to the point where there is a need to keep it plugged in at all times, for fear of it turning off in a meeting or not saving documents. To be honest I dont even know where to begin to diagnose the issue. If it is battery, how do I go about checking that? Might it be a software thing? I know I can't call Xiaomi, especially since she threw away the box. Any advice at all is great appreciated!

so, I'm playing battlefield 1 on 2560x1440 res, with GTX1080, i7 5820k OC@ 3.8GHz 16GB DDR4. I'm getting 90+FPS but getting lots of stuttering. Because of that, now I want to know what is the right way to diagnose any game for any FPS/Stuttering Issues. I want to know if there is certain steps or tools that can help me to know where the problem is, and if possible, how to solve it. some games can show detailed fps states with ping and some doesn't show anything (yes Battlefield 1, I'm looking at you) I want to learn this skill so that I can also help my friends with their game problems. EDIT: I'm looking for a generic way to diagnose any game. I'm not looking for fixes as much for how to tell where the problem is

As the title says, my pc has an issue where the internet suddently doesnt work anymore.. All i have to do, is go to settings and diagnose the network card (dont know if its called that), and after that it works just fine. When it's done diagnosing, i get the message saying: (roughly translated) "Ethernet does'nt have valid IP-configuration(solved). Resetting ethernet card (complete)." I get the same message every time i do this, and it's really annoying having to do this several times a day help :c

Hey everyone, I need your advice. I bought a new MSI Z170A Gaming M5 motherboard recently for my new build. Everything seems to work fine. But there are strange things that make me think something is not OK somewhere. Symptoms: 1. When I turn on the computer, the case fans that are connected to the mobo are spinning up really slowly. It takes 1-2 minutes to reach their full speed in most cases. But I have also seen that 1 out of 3 fans were already at full speed while the other two still tried to spin up. But this is the smallest problem. 2. When I launch GTA V, I can hear a popping/crackling sound from my headphones. Sometimes, when this happens, at the same time the leds on my keyboard all got turned on, however only the Num Lock should be turned on. When I press Caps Lock, then the led of Caps Lock turns off, and if I press it again, then the led of Scroll Lock turns off. But this keyboard thing does not happen always at the same time with the crackling noise. Sometimes the leds are already turned on when I login to Windows 10. 3. The above cracling noise with GTA happens only once after a cold start. If I reboot the machine and start the game again, there is no crackling sound. Only after a cold start. 4. The crakcling sound rarely can happen when I am just watching a youtube video. The keyboard issue can happen this time as well, however not every time happens. I tested the system with two different PSUs and the results were the same, so I excluded the PSU as a faulty hardware. GTA and the headphone had no issues with the same VGA in my previous rig. So they should be fine too. My hardware: MSI Z170A Gaming M5, latest BIOS (1.50) Intel i7-6700K Seasonic X-650 Gold, also tried with Corsair Gaming 600W EVGA GTX 980 Ti Hybrid ASUS Strix 7.1 as the sound card Samsung SM951 M.2 128GB SSD Samsung EVO 120 GB SSD ASUS PCE-AC68 wifi card Windows 10 64bit I am worried if this thing can damage my expensive hardware, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, tkocsir
