  1. I have a prebuilt cyber power PC (it says et9300-1266 on the back if thats useful) I knocked it over like a dumbass and now my fans all stopped spinning (not including the cpu fan) I’m assuming that since they all stopped at once the fan controller either broke or unplugged? I could use some help finding where it is and whatI should unplug and replug photos attached
  2. Hi. I'm looking for a beginner gaming PC and am looking to spend ~1200. I've only been researching PCs, and I've gotten some advice from friends about what prebuilt to get. My main concern is that I'm researching and watching videos from people affiliated with companies. I've found a PC I think is a good value: Customize Prebuilt Gaming PC GX 7610 (cyberpowerpc.com) I'm just worried that the recs for it are overlooking something because they're being paid by Cyberpower etc... any thoughts? From what I can tell, the SSD isn't ideal (which is the least of my concerns) and I've heard that the cooling isn't great... but then again, I'm not a AAA gamer
  3. There is a bios update but its hidden on Cyberpowers website. go to this link : https://support.cyberpowerpc.com/hc/en-us Click on drivers and software. Scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page. Click Cyber power Motherboards. Click bios Click Gigabyte Click the highlighted file and preform bios update. Check back regularly. Spread the word. It's not impossible to update and this bios update should encompass everything that gigabyte has released on all other b550 modules. 608770823_MB-478-120B550UDACY1.zip
  4. I’ve been doing some digging after hearing the feedback on the NZXT H1 question I had posted earlier and found this on cyber power pc (I attached a picture). I’m not sure if this would be good or not but it meets pretty much everything I want. It’s around $1500 USD (my budget), it has an RTX 3060 and a 8 core processor, and it’s a small form factor build which I want as I don’t have much space. Though idk about the thermals and the psu, it still looks good. Just wondering what people think and whether I should get it or not. Bit difficult to find cheap small form factor PC’s nowadays lol
  5. I have a CyberPower UPS connected to a computer, monitor, and mixer. When the power trips, the UPS functions normally and sets the computer into hibernation. But here's the catch: After I flip the breaker back on (running on AC power, NOT battery), after 5 ish minutes the UPS just cold shuts off, then immediately right back on. It's for like a split second, just enough for the computer to cold shut down. What would be the issue? Sorry if this is the wrong thread.
  6. Hi all, I've recently purchased a system for my daughter to be shipped by end of February from Cyberpower, While I would've been more comfortable building the PC my self, the shortage of 3000's series card make it extremely hard to do so. The PC was part of a very..short sale that I managed to land, so I believe this is a good deal for the money considering the spec. the only thing I'm really skeptical about is their build quality or customer service, I looked them up on forum and they are littered with complaints. my last pre-built was made by iBuyPower and it has been a solid PC for 9 years now, I don't know much about Cyberpower though. as Initially I intended to get my PC done by NZXT BLD, but their pricing is far higher, though I believe they have a bit better reputation in quality. After watching Linus Prebuilt series, at least it seems IBP is more competence in handling your PC/CS. I wonder if the reviews as bad as they are for Cyberpower, I could wait for the system to ship and if push come shove if it get bad, I can try NZXT BLD instead. Has anyone here ever had an experience with Cyberpower? 9. So, my current UPS seems to be failing. And since it starts to act up just like around 2 months after changing it's battery (After like 1,5 year use), I think I am done with this brand (Prolink PRO1201SFCU). When main is down the UPS only keep the PC on for like 10 seconds, then it starts making clicking sound repeatedly, which I assume is the relay. Warranty is gone now so if the repair cost a lot i just won't repair it, if it's cheap, then I'll keep it around for less sensitive and/or expensive things. So, since I am not exacty savvy about UPS quality, specifications, and brands. I thought it'd be worth it to ask for opinions from this forum dwellers. I browsed around in my country's market and found these: APC BVX1200LI-MS [$99] https://www.apc.com/id/en/product/BVX1200LI-MS/apc-easy-ups-bvx-1200va-230v-avr-universal-sockets/ CyberPower UT1050EG [$75 for the 1050EG] https://www.cyberpower.com/global/en/product/sku/ut1050eg CyberPower UT1500 [$119] https://www.cyberpower.com/eu/en/product/sku/ut1500e The APC one seems to be Indonesia only (or South-East Asia only) model, since I can't find it when I searched in APC UK or US site. Not sure if the CyberPower UT1500 is a new model, existing model, or discontinued model. Local merchants don't know jack shit about such stuffs, pointless asking them. The capacity range is a whole lot different between each because the lineup in stock isn't that great. I'd put the CyberPower UT1200EG instead but yeah, can't find anyone selling it. I know APC brand since I was like 15 years ago, but never experienced using CyberPower, nor had anyone I know using it. Is it a good enough brand? Which one do you think the most worth to buy ? I appreciate your time sharing your experience / thoughts / opinion.
  10. My new computer from cyber power that I got from Christmas is heavily under performing. Specs: Intel core i7 6700 GHz (locked) 32 gb of ddr4 ram gtx 1060 6gb 600 watt psu 1tb hdd and about 120 ssd GA-Z170-HD3P gigabyte mother board My friend has the same processor, 8gb of ram, and an rx 460. He runs games the same or a little better than my gtx 1060 6gb. Neither of us overclocked. On csgo with settings cranked up I get 80-110 frames and know that I should get much more. When I played the Ghost Recon Wildlands Beta (which recommended a gtx 1060), I received 20-40 frames while my friends received 25- 45 frames without changing settings. I do not know much about computers as Linus or you guys. I used to only play on console and I wanted to give pc a try. Only to find out I get only a slight increase in performance. It confuses me to no end and any help is greatly appreciated. Edit: I've tried DDU and no luck. Edit: This picture here I recently added shows csgo at 90 fps. I couldn't capture it but my cpu usage was at 11% and gpu around 20-30ish maybe, further updates will be stated.
  11. I have a Cyber Power PC that I got a while back. I really want to upgrade it to improve my video editor render speed as well as my processing speed to boost my fps for games like Space Engineers. I listed my computer's stats below. CPU: 4x AMD FX(tm)-4300 Quad-Core Processor (3.8 GHz) Display: 1360x705 AMD Radeon R7 200 Series Ram: 8 GB System type: 64-bit Operating System, x64-based processor Disk Drive: TOSHIBA DT01ACA100 ATA Device (If you need more details, tell me!) I want to improve my computer's power while keeping a cheap budget as I don't have that much money to spare. If you could help I would make my day! Thanks!
  12. So, im this close to buy a new pc, and the only thing (hopefully) left to do is pick mobo... the company provides its own brand motherboard with a bunch of feautures , and then i can choose to get the MSI one for just +17$ Here is the company's one : And here is the MSI one for just 17$ plus :
  13. Hello, I am currently building a new gaming/streaming rig setup from Origin PC, looking to buy the top of line or near to it within reason. I have no intentions other than to watch movies, play games on max settings (GTA V, ARK, ARMA 3, etc) and stream while doing so. I'm rather new to this but have done my research and just have a few questions, but first, here is the build. The ORIGIN Difference: ORIGIN PC Genesis - The Best Gaming Experience Guaranteed Variable Mounting: Standard Case Lighting with Sentinel: Remote Controlled Multi-Colored LED with ORIGIN PC Sentinel Software Case Fans with Sentinel: ORIGIN PC High-Performance Ultra Silent Fans Power Supply: 1000 Watt EVGA SuperNOVA G3 Power Supply Sleeved Cable Color: Black Individually Sleeved Cables Motherboard: ASUS ROG X399 Zenith Extreme System Cooling: ORIGIN FROSTBYTE 360 Sealed Liquid Cooling System for TR4 Socket Processors: AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1950X 16-Core Thermal Compound: GELID GC-Extreme CPU Application Graphic Cards: Single 11GB ASUS ROG STRIX GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Memory: 32GB G.Skill TridentZ 3000MHz (2 X 16GB) Operating System: MS Windows 10 Home Operating System Drive #1 (Primary): 1TB Samsung 960 Evo PCIe NVMe M.2 Operating System Drive #2: 8TB Seagate 3.5" Desktop HDD Hard Drive Cage: 5 Bay Hot-Swap Cage Optical Drive One: 16X Blu-ray Burner Lower Unit: Cryogenic Cooling Support Ignored this, only if I needed their upgraded liquid cooling Media Card Reader: 40-in-1 Media Card Reader Prime Audio: Creative Sound Blaster Audigy Rx Networking: Onboard Network Port Capture Cards: AVermedia Live Gamer HD2 GC570 The questions I have with this are- 1. Is the ASUS ROG X399 Zenith Extreme better vs the AMD X370 or Intel x299 2. With question one in mind, AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1950X 16-Core or Intel Core i9 7900X 10-Core No idea which is better for gaming, streaming, etc. 3. What in the world are OS Raid configurations? This is Origin PC, not sure if it is specific to them or not, and do I need it? 4. OS Drive #1, 2, 3... and HotSwap Bay Drive #1, 2, 3... With those what is the difference, all I'm wanting is my OS and maybe one game to go onto a 1TB 960 Samsung EVO, and the rest of my stuff to go on a 8TB Seagate HDD. Do I have the right idea there? Memory and how it is stored, written, and read is the thing that confuses me the most with computers. Not sure if I need this Raid Config, and all these drives and swap bay drives or not. 5. Last question, with my setup Processor and Video card in mind, origin has this 360 Liquid Cooling system they offer. Do I have to worry about overheating? Should I upgrade to their more advanced Liquid cooling systems, this Cryogenic Stage I, II, and III? Or is what I have enough to cool. I do NOT plan on overclocking as I heard from a lot of people it shortens the lifespan of the part significantly. That and I don't think it would be needed. I appreciate all the advice/tips/help with this build, I'm spending a pretty penny on it and want to make sure I have close to if not the best setup for this PC. Thank you.
  14. Well, first off I have an asus turbo rtx 2080 and it runs way too hot for being in an open framed thermaltake P3. Under load in games like Rise of The Tomb raider it runs way hot at like 83c. but in games like overwatch, I really have to watch it because when I let it stretch its legs, it runs anywhere to 73 to 85c. I'm in a bit of a sticky situation given it's a prebuilt system off of cyber power it's only like 1 month old. I don't know whether I should contact asus or whatever, or try to sell the gpu?
  15. I am looking for the best prebuilt desktop around the $2,000 range. I built my last system and was thinking about building this one but the convince of a prebuilt might be better. I will end up putting my own liquid cooling system in it down the line and would like something I can overclock as well. Looking to do it within the next month or so.
  16. So I grabbed this PC from Walmart for an extremely good price. Brought it home, checked it out and it seemed fine. Didn't touch it for about a month then one day I downloaded a big game and had played it for 4-6+ hours a day without a single issue. Then 2 days ago, I started it up and it was making crazy loud noise and vibrating pretty bad. I looked and the 1 non RGB fan was running backwards and trying to stop. So I turned if off, researched and found quite cruelly I might add, "this cant happen" without putting the plug in wrong or other user related/created problems. I haven't touched this PC other then plugging it. To keep a long story short, while testing what I was reading, I noticed that it seems to run normal on the 3rd start up, like clockwork, 2 failures(running backwards making noise) but the 3rd starts up quite and runs quite for hours with no issue. The only thing I can think of that maybe the issue is somehow the RGB remote maybe tripping something causing this, if that's even possible. I say that because its the only thing I've done to the PC other then turn it on, was change the colors with the remote. I purchased an replacement an insignia replacement from best buy just to be safe but wanted to ask here before I changed any parts. What could cause this? Fan just went bad? Is there anything I should look for when swapping fans? If after they are swapped out and it still happens what could be the cause? TIA
  17. So I picked up a cyberpower PC. The non LED fan burned up on week 2 so I replaced it with a cheap insignia for now but then the LEDs started to flicker really bad, Not sure what the issue is but doesn't matter as I intend to replace things. I have a few questions I was hoping a few people would be kind enough to help me out with. It will mainly be used for gaming like WOW, eventually more. Id like to have it prepared before the more comes along. I've spent the better part of my day researching & watching videos on builds. I've learned a lot but since everyone building is starting from scratch some doesn't really help when looking to upgrade. For example, I currently run Wow with addons at High settings without issue so I don't think I need a 2nd GPU. Honestly the most I think I need is a cooling upgrade & maybe a power supply. I'm sure more memory wouldn't hurt either but best bang for buck first. This is my first "build" but figured this was a good start given I only paid 230 for everything and some of the parts alone would run well above that when I purchased it. 1. What software should I use to monitor temps, fan speed & things of that sort? I don't like MSI afterburner anymore due to I feel Ill click the wrong thing & overclock it or turn the fans up. Not a huge fan of OC due to I only have 1 machine to depend on for everything. I'm sure that will change the more I learn 2. Is replacing the Power sup needed in this case? I see people saying yes but it does have one that people recommend replacing it with so I'm not sure on that. 3. I wish to add 2 fans to complete the lighting look as well as I don't like the empty space for it. It also seems to run a bit hot during raids in game. Currently its running NEG pressure but I wish to have neutral with dust screens. 3. B. Should I think about water cooling? I keep this PC in the coldest part of my house even during the summer it still chilly, is it needed for what I'm doing or would air be enough? 4. If this was yours and you wanted to not break the bank but spend what you saved on upgrades(2-800 depending on how you look at it/given time it was purchased) What would you do first to improve the system performance & longevity overall? Please keep it mind I'm just starting out after to long time of letting myself think my Alienware m17 is still the beast it used to be 5 or 6 years ago. I also am trying to cram a lot of knowledge in little time and the options now are next to endless. I gave up on it years ago for a lot of reasons but one was mainly very little options so It was either spend the $$ or jog on, now its lego land and some parts are reasonably priced with good competition. I do plan on recording games, making videos, possibly streaming(my ISP is shet!) but most of all want a sound running machine for the long game or a good base start for the time being. My Alienware has been an unreplaceable work horse but now there is SATA & more options that only make everything better & easier, plus time is money friends. Any advice from the pro's that are here would be greatly appreciated! TIA
  18. Warning: Complete noob here. Heyo, I bought this https://www.cyberpowersystems.com/product/ups/cp1500avrlcd/ and I've been wondering what the Phone/Network in and out port is used for. Does anyone know?
  19. Heyo, I don't know how to shop for UPS' but is this good enough to keep my system running long enough to do a proper shutdown (5-10 minutes or longer ideally): System specs (including 2 monitors that are not listed):
  20. So earlier this year I ordered a custom build from cyberpower for around £600. I got an AMD FX-6300, 16gb DDR3, a 1050 Ti and an Asrock NS68-GS4. But since then i have started regretting my choice, and thinking that I could have done better for the money. It runs all modern games at 40-60fps medium settings, and old ones at 60fps full settings, but i can't help but feel that i could have made a better choice. what do you all think?
  21. As the title stated, I know nothing. But, I have a Cooler Master Liquid Lite liquid cooler for my CPU and in the BIOS I can't find any data for the pump's RPM and I have no control over it in the BIOS. My issue isn't necessarily that I need the control over it (although I would like to have it), my concern is whether or not the pump and liquid cooling is actually working. From looking in my PC I can see the fans the pump is connected to are in fact powered and running so whatever the case I know the fans are at least working and it is getting power. What I believe the issue to be is that the liquid cooler is potentially plugged into the wrong port with my evidence being that in the picture shown with the post is has a cable coming from the CPU Cooling going straight into the CPU_FAN slot rather than the AIO_PUMP slot. What I need to know is, is this correct and the solution is simply just switching the cable to the other port or is there more to it that I'm not seeing, understand, or aren't aware of. I would also like to know more about the potential maintenance of liquid cooling and what I need to keep an eye on to avoid future issues and potential malfunctions and what to do to avoid them.
  22. Hi all, Wasn't quite sure where to ask this question so hopefully, this place is fine. I am currently looking at a job prospect that would have me moving from Canada to the UK and while I know most of my electronics would be able to make the move (game consoles and PCs) I'm curious if I would be able to run a UPS (APC 1500VA) from NA behind a power adaptor. It's likely not recommended sure, but I'm just looking at it as an option to get me going while I go and buy all the new cables I need and buy a proper replacement UPS that is built for the voltage there. I have verified that neither of my 2 UPS' are 200+V compatible so if I could I'd like to have one run my desktop after moving there to get settled.
  23. When someone wants to buy a UPS there are a lot of question to be answered: - How many VA ? - Is modified sinewave ok or pure sinewave is essential? - high priced APC & Eaton or more reasonably priced powerwalker and cyberpower - There are no reviews online which show oscilloscope outputs so the buyer can decide which ups should buy. Linus, there is an opportunity for a review here, I think.... Please like this post, so mods forward it to Linus Media Group reviewers.
  24. Alright. So I made a similar post a few days ago and looked over all the suggestions. I particularly liked the build your own route more bang for my buck but unfortunately i dont know how to build anything lols. So below I have 3 options to choose from today and i wanted help making a final decision (my overall budget is around $800 maybe could squeeze 900-1000) the first two are self explanatory also would like to add in the 3rd option is pre-owned and 12GB ram consists of (8GB)&(4GB) kingston hyper furu 1600mhz DDR3 ram but it is dual 1060 6B each.
  25. Hello there, Recently, my somewhat old computer has been slowing down recently (2015 build https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Prezeo/saved/#view=xrTcCJ) and believe I am due for an upgrade. I am coming to LTT to ask a couple of questions about what my next move should be dealing with a new computer. First things first, as of February 2018, should I even consider building a new PC? Like is it worth it with bang-for-buck? I am aware that the whole bitcoin situation seems to be slowing down, or at least what the stock prices look like. I built my first PC and had a lot of fun with it, and I would LOVE to build a new PC, but I am not wanting to waste a dime if I have the choice to go with an alternative option. Secondly, if I were to go with the prebuilt route, where would be a reliable place to get one (Online, such as CyberPower, iBuyPower, OriginPC, etc.), and what I should be looking for when searching. I am looking at this option due to being able to pay monthly for the computer itself over a period of time instead of having to haul the $1500 I am wanting to spend all at once. I'll ask more questions once I get a feeling of what I want to do. Thanks all! Matthew
