My girlfriend is looking for two 1080p monitors, is 27" is decent for general productivity and gaming or does it look pixelated? We also wonder, do dual curved monitors make sense or should we look for flat monitors?

My parents want a new TV, with a budget of around 1000€. My proposition for them was the LG OLED55C1. The answer: "I want it curved". I always felt like curved TVs were a terrible idea (and manufacturers seem to agree, since no one is proposing any high end curved TV), but I was wondering if anyone had an idea for a good model from 2020 or 2021 ? The only things I found were mediocre 500€ budget models, or ones from 2015 and before on eBay...

Hi all! Im currently having an issue with my monitors. I have 2 curves 2k monitors set up in a way to extend my display. Whenever I seem to restart my pc or even shut off and turn on again, the second monitor doesn’t seem to detect. I even go to click detect additional monitor and it doesn’t work. However, when I click on the button to duplicate the displays, the second monitor kicks on and when I change it back to extend it starts to work fine. The annoying thing is tho it’s very inconvenient to have to go into setting every time to try and get the monitors to recognise. I don’t know what I can do to get it working so it automatically picks up every time I restart my pc. my specs are a windows 11 operating system. rx580 graphics card asus vg27wq curved monitor (main connected via display port) samsung lc27jg52qquxen (secondary connected via hdmi) any help WOUKD be greatly appreciated thanks guys

Hi, Recently new monitor is available in my local store, its new brand, never heard of except for the phones they produce but it has really good specs for the price Samsung VA Panel 3440x1440 ultrawide 21:9 Curved 121% sRGB 144hz Freesync Premium its priced at around 480USD which is cheap compared to other premium brands like LG which are priced at 800+ $ in my country. I didnt find many pro reviews except hardware unboxed, its behind the competition when it comes to G2G and other specs. But I want personal opinion, is it worth it for casual gamer with mixed online and offline games?

hello friends, i'm reaching out asking about monitors this time, i play FPS Games like Halo and racing sims, as well watch netflix and doing my taxes on my current set up running an Nvidia 2080TI (im planning on upgrading to the 3000 series later) on three "HP2311x" TN 75hz flats from 2010 , YUP it's time to upgrade and this time im thinking about going single ultra wide, and from the research im doin im thinking my high mark is gonna be $1500, 32-35," 4k is not necessary, HDR Yes, IPS would be preferable, definitely needs at least 100Hz, response time is negligible (im not good enough for it to matter LMFAO) so my question is Curved VS Flat, i dont know anyone in my area into high end gaming, and not really any show rooms here. any input is appreciated, thanks friends

I recently purchased a 24" curved monitor from Acer (Acer ED242QR), unfortunately it is not Vesa compatible. I did some browsing and found mount adapters that go around the bezel of the screen, but there are 2 issues I have come up with. 1. Will the adapter overlap the screen due to the thin bezel? 2.Will the monitor wobble in the adapter due to being curved? With these questions I also have the issue of finding a Vesa mount that is even compatible with a curved monitor since most of them say "Not recommended for curved monitors" or "NOT COMPATIBLE WITH CURVED MONITORS." Any help with this issue is much appreciated, thank you! Link to Monitor: https://www.newegg.com/black-acer-ed242qr-abidpx-um-ue2aa-a01-23-6/p/N82E16824011162?Item=N82E16824011162

Hey! I have been looking at the monitor for a while now and just wanted to get some more opinions on it. The monitor is the Sceptre 30-inch Curved Gaming Monitor 21:9 2560x1080p Ultrawide Ultra Slim HDMI DisplayPort up to 200Hz AMD FreeSync FPS-RTS Build-in Speakers, Metal Black (C305B-200UN) 2019. The selling price right now is at $280 and i am not sure if this is a good buy or not. It is rated number 10 on amazon for best seller. I guess the overall question I am trying to ask is if I should get it or not. The link to the monitor is listed below. . . https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07TXM7K4T/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1

Hi, i've been doing a lot of research and slowly becoming tired of it. i've been looking at the best gaming monitor i can get for preferably under/around £300 The features i want are 27", 144hz and a curved display, MSI offers SO MANY monitors that i can't keep up with comparing them all to each other. Currently i think the best im going to get is the MSI Optix Mag271CV for 1080p. i found it for £265 1440p is a bit out my budget but i found the MSI Mag271CQR for £350. Any recommendation please. are there other monitors that will do better?. researching into this is really making me tired now.

Hello, I'm thinking of upgrading one of my 24" flat to something 27" curved. I recently upgraded to a RTX 2080 Super, so games I play (AC series, Diablo3, Crew2, Steep, Anno series, some FPS) can be rendered in 1440p without an issue. I don't want to spend a fortune, and not looking for impressive numbers on the box, but I'd like good picture quality, so i can work on my digital photos as well. Currently I use 2 Dell P2414H, and don't feel it slow, but with the new card I definitely suffer from refresh rate flickering a lot. Any suggestions? Thanks, D

I know it is kind of normal in low end LCD panels and all that stuff, but I am a bit obessive when I see something and was looking for some reasurance from more cultivated people on the matter. I have this C24F390 Samsung curved VA screen that has a very very thin and barely vissible dark top right corner (I think is all on the right edge), actually only visible with high contrast colors, such as bright white and wanted to know how normal this would be. I have not found many people with this model to compare. Thanks, guys!

Anyone else have three (3) Samsung 27" Curved monitors? If so, have you mounted them on a stand? If yes, which? I'm having a hell of a time finding a stand that is of high quality build construction that can support these side-by-side in a long curve, with a solid clamp to a desktop surface. Most of the ones I have found barely accommodate 27" x 3 in roughly a straight line. Add the angle to the mix to achieve the curve, and it seems like a serious PITA. Thinking of maybe trying something like https://www.ergoexperts.com/products/innovative-staxx-triple-wide-monitor-mount?variant=16156435578926¤cy=USD&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIp9aE7dbK5wIVy5yzCh24RwHXEAQYASABEgKxlPD_BwE which is supposedly built to accommodate 30" monitors, possibly giving me a little play when I turn them inward to achieve the curve. That's a $500 stand though, so I'd like to see if anyone else has a solution before I drop that kind of coin. https://www.ergotron.com/en-us/products/product-details/hxdesktriplemonitorarm#/ seems like it would work perfectly, but it doesn't appear to support a 27" x 3 configuration. Thanks for any suggestions!

Why are there no TVs or Monitors that have a curved edge?
ThunderBlast747 posted a topic in Displays
We have known phones for so long having curved edges, like the Galaxy s7 being one of the first, years ago. That is an OLED display, so I assume that this doesn't exclude TVs... right? Or maybe even monitors? I was searching all over YouTube, on the LTT channel (this can be a really great topic for them to do a video on!), and even on the forum with little or no talk about this. I really don't understand why that this cannot be a technology feature. It would make TVs and monitors much more immersive and good looking to view. And if anything, TVs and monitors haven't had any real upgrades in years in terms of how they have looked, ever since flat screen TVs and thinner monitors. Perhaps now more recently, monitors viewing angles are curved, but they always still have bezels. By curving the display's edges, there would be no need for bezels as the screen itself would be the bezel. Also, how far could we curve the edge? For Samsung phones, it only seems to get at like a 45 degree angle. Why can't we curve it all the way to 180 degrees? And for monitors and TVs? I might be totally wrong on my interpretation here. Please let me know about what is going on in the display market, why curved edge displays and TVs aren't a thing yet, and why the current curvature of phone displays' edges only goes to 45 degrees. Also, is it only on OLED displays? Or can other displays be used as well, if not more efficiently? -
So I'm in college and I want a sexy curved monitor. I'm not really a gamer, but I'm just looking for something I can code on. Some preferences: > 30 in < $200 Curved Has to be on Amazon There are plenty of available options that fit my preferences. However, I'm not sure about their quality so I'm asking this forum. Please help me out!

144hz High-End WQHD 144hz 32" Curved Display for about $650
Allptraum1989 posted a topic in Displays
Hi, i am abound to finish my summer job i did for a new screen (i am currently stuck at 4k 60hz) and i want to get a nice big wqhd 144hz. Unfortunately, finding a good one has proven quite difficult. Things i absolutely want: -Curved, -VESA option, -2560x1440 -144hz, -some sort of sync controller (either gsync or freesync. as long as it works with my NVidia gpu) -31.5 - 32" -and as little motion blur as possible -Adjustable stand (pitch and height) Things i don't care about: -Great IO. I just want a sufficient DisplayPort or HDMI -Great viewing angles (As long as it looks fine from my position thats right infront) Things i don't want: -400nit HDR (hdaren't) My friend has just got himself an AOC Gaming CQ32G1 (https://amzn.to/32Nu4DL) for $380. It is 31.5", WQHD, 144hz curved and claims to be 1ms. When i looked at it in real life, it appeared to be a very nice, smooth display. But it had a LOT of motion blur. Even at 1ms. I would get the same one, had it not this much motion blur. Originally i wanted to get an Asus ROG Strix XG32VQ (https://amzn.to/32YoEGn) for $640, but it has 4ms wtf... Most reviews state that these 4ms bottleneck it down to about 120hz. They also point out that it has vertical lines on solid colors. Doesn't seem to quite match the premium price tag... Sadly i wasn't able to find any other screen that matches my needs. I think it should be very possible to get a nice WQHD 144hz 32" 1ms curved display for $650. Do you have any suggestions? Best regards, allpi -
INTRODUCTION / BACKSTORY For the longest time I was trying to get my dad to use a higher than 1080p resolution display to ease his eye-impairment, until one day I set him up with my trusted LG 34UC88 and left for an exchange semester in Denmark. The deal was: "If you like it and want to keep it, I get a new one, if not, you get something else". I am proud to report that my dad has joined the Ultrawide Master Race... leaving me without a display. So I'm looking for a replacement, turning to you for advice. CRITERIA From most to least important Must have 1. 21:9 1440p curved Ultrawide 2. 100+ Hz refresh rate Nice to have some of: 3. G-sync 4. Height-adjustable 5. IPS 6. USB-C input 7. Thunderbolt 3 8. understated looks (not screaming "FOR GAMING") BUDGET ~ USD 900 - USD 1100 (~ € 800 - € 1000) - note this is a rough estimate due to currency conversion (I am in the EU) I was looking at these: LG 34UC99 Predator Z35P Predator X34P Samsung C34J791 LG 34UC88 (the one I had before, only 60 Hz) LG 34GK950G - A bit of a budget stretch Appreciate any suggestions

Hello, I've spent the last few days searching for a monitor to use at home with my Macbook, but couldn't come to a conclusion. I am going to mainly use it for programming. Would appreciate if you guys could help me with some suggestions. The specs that I'm looking for, are: curved display, usb-c port, 27" , and not more than 350$. I did find a product, but I wasn't able to find that many reviews for it. Also, what do you think about it? This is it: Samsung lc27h800. Thank you, Eric

Hello I'm building a new system with rtx 2080 for gpu and I have no idea what to do for monitors. Should I pick up a MSI Optix MAG27CQ 1440p 144hz monitor and tries to pick up a 4k 60hz IPS monitor as well or I should get an ultra wide monitor like LG 34UC79G-B 34inch monitor with 2560x 1080 resolution. By the way my options are very limited in here so if I want a 1440p ultra wide monitor with good refresh rate there is only Samsung C49HG90 49 inch monitor available for 1700 USD.

I need to replace my monitor, its just time, both from it dying and it not being capable of matching my upgraded PC. But due to upgraded PC I don't have a lot of money to spend on it. I've been checking on sales and have seen this 24" curved Acer on Newegg, there's a promo code bringing it down to $150. That price sounds good, but I've never used a curved monitor, would it even be worth it on a 24" screen?
