I ordered a scythe ninja 5 before, but the seller didn't response to me after nearly 1 week. So I am looking at other bigggg cpu cooler. I found cryorig r1 ultimate, which I like a lot. But according to the pcpartpicker, the cooler (168.3mm) cannot fit into my case (fractal design mini C windowed edition with 168mm clearance) but it can fit into TG edition (172mm clearance). How reliable is pcpartpicker? Is there anyone with similar setup can share the experience with me? Thanks a lot.

I have a Cryorig A80 but bought it before they started bundling it with AM4 brackets, but I've just purchased a R7 3800x and Gigabyte X570 Gaming X motherboard to upgrade my system (from i5 4690k). I've contacted Cryorig who tell me to purchase it from Overclockers UK, who don't have stock and after speaking to them today, also do not know when they can get more in stock (surely these are from cryorig anyway?!). Now I've seen one random person on Reddit state that Corsair's bracket kit fits on the Cryorig, so does anyone know if they do and if so which one (I'm assuming the H80i/H115i one). Or even better if someone knows where I can source a Cryorig one that would be even better. But I've tried amazon, ebay, etc and no luck.

It's making a ticking sound similar to when a drive needle is acting up during a read cycle, one of the scariest things I don't like hearing from my PC. I thought at first it was either of my hard drives creating the noise because those are fairly new and not much data has gone through them. I was able to isolate the noise and surprised to find out that it was coming from my CPU Cooler which is a Cryorig R1 Universal the noise is coming from the thin fan, the XT 140, I unclipped it from the heatsink and checked the axle lock, that thin plastic washer that keeps the bearings in and prevent them from coming off has loosened. I flattened the plastic washer and put it back in and the noise is gone, a day later it's making a noise again and most likely the washer came off again. Not sure if taking a plastic washer from a different fan would solve the problem because I'm think it's likely to come off again since it's of the same material. I'm thinking of other ideas for a fix at the moment, maybe someone else had this problem too and I would like to know how others repaired theirs.

Compared to the stock cooler of the Ryzen 5 3600 how much better is the Cryorig C7 $33 ? I need to use a top blow fan so that it can also cool my VRM on my motherboard so yeah. And there's also the ID Cooling IS40X $20 is it good or bad?

I want to do a horizontal pc build, but the one problem is that I want something like the Cryorig Taku. I would get it but it is 300 USD. Any other options???

I want to replace the stock fan on the Cryorig H5 Universal with this fan: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIAE8670Y3560&Description=aigo white led 140mm&cm_re=aigo_white_led_140mm-_-9SIAE8670Y3560-_-Product I want to do this because it will match my build much better. However, I know that the H5 has a 120mm mounting bracket. So my question is: Is there any way by bending the brackets or modding the fan or maybe even gluing/screwing the fan to the heatsink to make the 140mm fan fit on the H5?

So right now my CPU (i5 7600K) is being cooled by a H5 Ultimate which sadly is interrupting the use of one of my DIMM slots making adding another set of RAM impossible. I am considering buying another set of RAM but need to deal with the cooling issue first. Would it be very detrimental to temperatures to either A) Move the fan to the opposite side; or B) Rotate the air cooler. Currently the fan is doing intake for the air cooler.

So I bought a Cryorig C7, since its performance is slightly better then the Noctua L9i (due to the heatsink). But reviews say the fan is not as good. So I wanted to attach my Noctua A9x14 fan to it, but I'm not willing to pay ~$14 for a 3D printed adaptor to attach my own 92mm Fan to the Cryorig C7 heatsink. I was wondering if I could ghetto-mount my A9x14 by using paper clips as a fan clips? Or is there a better solution?

I'm intending to get a jumpstart on a new itx PC build, this time with the intent of perhaps fitting it inside a Skyreach S4 Mini. I was looking into some low-profile solutions with fitting a CPU cooler, and I've concluded that the Cryorig C7 Cu's copper heatsink paired with a Noctua NF-A9x14 PWM seems like the best fit (since Noctua doesn't seem to have any low-profile copper solutions of their own). My question now is how to attain those special mounting clips that come with Noctua's heatsinks...without buying the heatsinks themselves. I've contacted Noctua, but they haven't come to me with an answer yet. I wasn't sure where I could attain these clips so I can pull off something like this gentleman from the SFF forums (Credit to Hudzzy). Also buying two separate cooling solutions to combine them doesn't seem as cost efficient, so I was wondering if Zalman or any other manufacturer has a similar idea of having an all-copper low profil cooling solution out there.

Hi guys, So I bought a Cryorig C7 to replace the stock Intel Cooler that came with my i5-8400. I have not done this before and I was wondering will there be any thermal paste on the CPU? I know that the stock cooler comes with pre-applied thermal paste but I don't know if that thermal paste is on the CPU which means I'll have to clean it but I don't have anything to do that. So guys what I want to know is that can I replace the CPU cooler for the first time without having to clean the CPU. If I can then it's good but if I can't then what kind product that I should use to clean the surface of the CPU. Hope I made myself clear. Thanks and hoping to see a reply soon from you guys.

From the title itself, it's seem unfair to compare Enermax T40Fit (dual fan) vs Cryorig R1 Ultimate. These 2 parts are from different tier according to this tier list, T40Fit is in tier 6 and R1 Ultimate in tier 2. And the price of R1 Ultimate is more than twice of T40F. Here in Indonesia, best price for T40fit is around 35 USD, and R1 Ultimate is around 82 USD (1 USD = 14481.75 IDR). Anyway here I just want to share what I got by upgrading T40Fit to R1 Ultimate. Maybe this is useful for somebody out there. My build for this comparison: i7-6900K RAM Corsair LPX DDR4-2400 32GB (4x8GB) ASUS X99 Sabertooth MSI GTX 1080 Gaming X 8G PSU Corsair HX750i Case: Corsair Carbide 400C Fan: 3x12cm at front (pull), 1x14cm at top (push), 1x12cm at back (push) Thermal paste: Arctic MX-4 Test condition: Tested using AIDA64, stress on CPU+FPU+cache+GPU for ~30 mins Temperature read from AIDA64 on CPU Package Hyperthreading: OFF Inter Turbo Boost 3.0: ENABLED Tested each in 2 freq: stock (auto freq, XMP: OFF) and overclocked (at 4.2 GHz, XMP: ON) Tested each in 2 time: after midnight (room temp 25-26 C) and afternoon (room temp 30-32 C) Room temp measured using desk digital clock+temperature+humidity, put in front of case (the manufacture said temp accuracy is 1 C). Sorry, no air conditioner in my room... All fan curve tuned by AI Suite 3 (thermal tuning). That's the point, right? I don't want to run them in constant full speed, because it's not the real condition when I use it for work and gaming. Result: Discussion: Yes, your cooler performance is very dependent to your room temperature. As other electronic products in this planet, twice the price doesn't mean twice the performance. If you work in controlled room temp, and you can maintain it below ~30 C, Enermax T40Fit dual-fan is "enough" even if you overclocked it to 4.2 GHz, as long you can provide enough air from inflow/intake fan. Maybe you need to upgrade to tier 1 or 2 air cooling products if you want to overclock more, or if you are working in slightly hot room. Not temperature-controlled room, usually have more dust. Air cooling is better option since it easy to clean, assemble and disassemble, troubleshoot, etc.

I was wondering if the plastic heatsink cover on the Cryorig H7 is removable. I was hoping to paint it white with Plasti Dip.

I am using a 8700k with Cryorig R1 Universal. Currently using the Thermal Paste that came with the cooler which is called "CP9" I have the processor slightly overclocked to 4.6 and was thinking if getting a better thermal paste ( i have Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut in mind) would make much difference. I will go for Grizzly if there is significant diff in temps like more than 5 degrees or something.

As some of you may have known, my original choice of cooler was a Cryorig H7 Quad Lumi version. Totally not because of PC Building Simulator. Now that I'm comfortable enough with upgrading my PC a bit, I wanted some thoughts from people. Questions specific to those who have/have had a Cryorig H7 Quad Lumi: 1. Was the floating mounting bracket easy to install and were there any problems with cooling because of it? 2. How were the temps? (Please list your CPU) 3. Was it loud at any point? General questions to all: 1. Worth it to go from Cooler Master Hyper 212 to Cryorig H7 Quad Lumi? (I bought my Hyper 212 for £25, a H7 QL would be £67) 2. Anything I should know in terms of size or fan cable connections before I potentially buy? 3. There was a Cryorig H7 Ultra RGB at Computex, should I wait for that instead?

Hi guys, Had my Cryorig R1 Universal for a while, the front thin fan has become wobbly after less than a year, pretty disappointing, so looking for a replacement. Obviously I want it to be as thin, I have a small bit of room to work with before I hit the ram, but would rather not push my luck (and I really hope I can get a fan on there without taking the cooler off). Suggestions welcome, I just don't think I'll reward Cryorig by buying another fan from them, especially not this again (I think its either the XT140 or XF140, the thinner one).

Will the Cryorig H5 Ultimate fit in my build with 0 clearing issues with my RAM? Or would the H5 Universal be a smarter choice? RAM: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820331029&cm_re=night_hawk_ram-_-20-331-029-_-Product Also just to confirm the H5 Universal is better than the H7 right?

I'm sorry if this has been asked a thousand times, but I'm building a new PC to replace my budget i3-4150 build. I'm doing a Ryzen build, and my case can have a max CPU cooler of 160mm. I've heard good things about the Cryorig H7, but I keep hearing that it's terrible for Ryzen, especially when OC'ing. Can anyone confirm this (or give a better suggestion on what air cooler to use)? Thank you!
