Hey, I'm new here. My current problem is my new CPU. Its a non-OC'd Ryzen 9 7900X, and idles at 75C. I originally was dealing with my peripherals randomly cycling power while gaming. Now I'm sure its a temp problem. I have a 5000D Airflow with a Corsair H150i (three fan AIO) and an additional 7 fans. I used thermal compound and I'm fairly certain that the pump is mounted to the CPU correctly. No clicking or weird pump noises so I don't think its a failing pump. Anyone have any ideas on how to bring the temps down?

I've been trying to find an aio which is fairly quiet and has a good cooling performance from a reliable company, the max i would be willing to spend is around £160, i only need a 240mm one and would like one with an ldc screen (not a definate requirtement) or good looking rgb. Looks are important so I'm not going with arctic's aios since i dont like the look of them. Has anyone got any suggestions? Any help is appreciated

Excuse my bad English i will try to be as clear as possible , my i5 11400 while playing the last of us or battlefield 4 for example i get my CPU up to 77C or even 80C during BF4 on gameplay and 88C on the last of us. (i have bad cooling in my case but i try to keep it as cool as possible with all the fans etc) And i tried checking the thermal paste on my cpu and it seems like as some parts are still moist as if it's just been applied some parts are dried out. (And yes its the stock thermal paste attached to the stock cooler. Now my question is , will this be a good thermal paste to replace my current one ? The MX-4 is expensive for me (480 LE) and this one is like 300 so i can afford that. But is it any good ? And no thermal grizzly isn't sold where i live and if it is, it's 700+ LE.

I tried my best to find a good thermal paste to buy where i live..(Egypt) and i couldn't find the coolermaster mastergel pro v2 that i wanted and on amazon my order got cancelled for no reason. So i got this one. I wiped the old paste off and applied this one. i can say on idle temps they did drop from 50-49 to 42-40 now. But during gaming i am afraid its the same..goes up to 87 during stress tests even (for my i5-11400 CPU) Soooo..did i just waste my money ? Or am i doing something wrong ? I tried to check if i applied enough paste from these temps by removing the cooler and yes its covered up pretty nicely no shady or dried up parts. its perfectly fitted. So what do i do..? do i just live on with it and ignore it will it damage my cpu ? or do i do something quick about it ? (Also that 87C during gaming is at 100%-90% load)

Hello, I was wondering if there is any way for me to manually control the fan speeds as Lenovo fan control is not compatible with this model.

Around a month ago I decided to repaste the cpu and gpu on my Acer Nitro AN515-54. When opening up my laptop I noticed that the pink vram thermal paste looked dried out and didn't cover the vram chips evenly. I didn't have a replacement so I decided to not do anything about it. After repasting the cpu and the gpu the temps were great but after a couple weeks I noticed that the temps were starting to get really high again. I thought it could've been because of my poor technique (it was my first time changing the thermal paste), so I decided to repaste again, and I just did. The temps seem fine, but I wonder if I should do anything about the vram thermal paste. To be clear what I mean, the pink thermal paste looks something like this: (source: https://www.reddit.com/r/IndianGaming/comments/tnp2tb/what_to_do_with_this_pink_clay_like_stuff_on_the/) If a replacement is necessary, I am thinking of getting thermal pads (as it is significantly cheaper than k5-pro).

Hi guys! I’m new here and I just built a pc. I bought 1pack 3in1 fans which is Darkflash C6MS and I put 1 in the aio for outtake and 2 to the top of intake. I’m planning to buy 3 fans to add to my set up. I would like to know if I can use different pack of fans or should I buy 3 single fans of Darkflash C6MS to connect it to the main fan. thank you please help!

Main issue: My EVGA RTX 2080, has been running very hot in any game that maintains a sustained 99% load, and as a result the fans are ramping up and down between audible and obnoxiously loud levels. It's not uncommon for it to hit 95C on the core and 105C+ on the hotspot after 10-15min in these games if I don't cap the framerate to 90 or so to reduce load. I purchased the card shortly after it released in late 2018, and it only starting behaving like this around 1.5 years ago. I called EVGA last year (RIP their GPU division ) and the rep told me that these temps were within spec, but didn't have much else to say about it. Of course, GPU-Z did not report hotspot temps until ~2021(?), so it's possible those were always fairly high. Still, I know something has changed since my fans never used to ramp up to such a distracting, jet engine-level in any game. Other relevant info: The RTX 2080 GPU is very lightly OC'd using the MSI Afterburner voltage/frequency curve, but actually undervolted to a max of 1.0V, which is substantially lower than the 1.5V that it would hit using stock settings. "Memory Clock" is also lightly OC'd at +500-600MHz. The "Core Voltage (mV)" and "Power Limit" sliders are all the way to the left (aka lowest), and the "Temp Limit" slider has priority and is set to 80C (feels like this does nothing). I used to have these voltage/power/temp limits maxed out in the past, with no perceived issues or overheating. GPU fan curve is set to auto, although I have tried messing around with setting this manually, which had no effect on the ramping behavior or noise level. The 9700K CPU is OC'd to 5GHz with a small voltage bump, and I almost never see CPU temps above 65C. I used to run my case with the side and top panel vents closed, and only had two case fans: front and back. At some point before this problem started, I upgraded my CPU and installed two additional case fans, so I currently have two intakes (front and side, right over the GPU), and two exhausts (top and back). Every fan intake is dust filtered, and I regularly clean the dust out, so the GPU and everything else has little to no visible dust on it. I live in Oregon, and my room is about 20C ambient temperature...nothing crazy warm. Full parts list: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/samshurts/saved/#view=ZWXm8d Problem part: EVGA XC GAMING GeForce RTX 2080 8 GB Video Card I'm really at a loss for ideas as to how I could improve airflow/thermals any more in this situation. I've considered trying to repaste the GPU, thought I would prefer not to disassemble it myself unless I absolutely have to. Also, this video from Gamers Nexus concluded that repasting GPUs has very little effect on thermals unless they are 10+ years old and extremely dried out: https://youtu.be/n7NMeu0QiYk. I would greatly appreciate any ideas or avenues of research I could pursue to get these temps under control. Except water cooling -- I'm way too busy these days to get into that whole experience lol . Thanks in advance LTT Community!!!

High CPU temps while gaming, not during load tests (p95)

Heya guys! Feeling a bit lost here. While gaming with friends (Rainbow 6 Siege if that matters), I touched my computer case and noticed it's fairly hot. After using Open Hardware Monitor, I'd found that my CPU temps PEAK at 100c (no bueno). to isolate - i ran p95 (for 24hours, blend, on all cores) - and it seems that the CPU peaks at around 70c there, so it seems like it can cool itself well enough. Granted - after monitoring and plotting the temps during gaming - i see that the temps sit around 90-ish degrees C most of the time Graphs are provided Below. Blue graph is while running p95, other one is while gaming - i selected only 1 core to simplify it but i made sure this was the hottest one. What could be the cause of this? Could this be residual heat from my GPU? it peaks at 80C Maybe should I get more outtake fans maybe to improve the airflow through the unit? right now I have 1 outtake, 3 intake cpu is cooled with AIO Specs: i7-9700k 3070Ti 32GB Ram Asus TUF Z390-PLUS GAMING- 20 replies

I have 3 spare fan slots in my PC, I have already decided I want to put fans in them. I need 1 120mm and 2 140mm fans. Unifans look good, but I want to know if you can use the extension cable that allows you to connect 120s over a distance without actual fans with the 140s, as it would be easier. If that’s not possible, what should I get? Ideally I want RGB, but my overall budget is 50 quid, 60 MAX. Thanks!

Budget (including currency): 2500$ Country: not important Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: rust csgo premiere pro Photoshop and blender Hey there, Im about to build a pc with the "nzxt h9 flow" case. Now, from what i read a 2 fan aio is enough to cool my CPU, but in the front fan cage i have enough space for 3 fans so i wanted to know, do I: A. Buy a 2 fan aio and put it there with nothing below B. By a 2 fan aio and a fan and put them on (Aio first and the fan below) C. Just get a 3 fan aio and slap it in there I wanted to know is it a bad thing to do option B. All tho i dont mind spend 100$ for the bigger aio i prefer not to of course and aesthetics is the last of my concerns If you have an answer or even other suggestions feel free to let me know Thank you for the help and have a great day <3

Hello again! Anyone have any good sources I can check out for buying parts for my custom liquid cooling build? I keep going back to EKWB’s website but their CPU and GPU blocks keep going out of stock and I love their custom made blocks was wondering if there’s any other sources out there worth looking at. Thermaltake and Cosair wasn’t too impressed with. Optimus was the same as EKWB out of stock on a lot of things but their CPU block looked nice. Idk how to use Bitspowers website just seemed really confusing lol. Thanks in advance! also if anyone wanted to know my current setup. mobo - Gigabyte X570 I Aorus Pro CPU - Ryzen 7 5800X3D GPU - MSI RTX 4090 gaming x trio Case - Thermaltake Core P1

Hello everyone, I'm seeking for some help. I want to put 4x Thermaltake Pure 120 ARGB fans and 4x TT Pure 200 ARGB fans in my View 51. As I can see 120 have weird cable that goes into commander included in 3pack of 120s. On the other hand 200 had separate power and led cable. Can someone explain me how I can connect all of them, being able to use PWM and control lighting effect? Mobo I'm going to use is Asrock Taichi B650E. If anymore information is needed please write up.

I am planning to build a PC in the new Fractal North case. I won't have enough space for a 360 radiator along with a 40 series GPU, but I've seen a build where the person mounts their 280 radiator sideways (level with the CPU) on the mesh version of the case and have been considering doing the same. Otherwise I will be forced to buy a 240 radiator and mount it on the top side of the case. My question is if mounting the AIO sideways would kill it/my CPU faster? Attached is the the build I spoke about (source: https://pcpartpicker.com/b/46BcCJ )

I get around 70-85 degrees when playing rust, the highest temps i see it reach is 90 degrees. It only spikes up to the 80 for a second then goes back down. I'm using the stock cooler. (Wraith stealth) Are these normal temps? I have the cooler master q300l case which is well known for having bad temps. And are these temperatures safe? Thanks :)

So I have just recently been noticing this issue, I am not sure if it persisted before hand or not. Anytime I load a game my CPU Utilization will jump to around 50-60% and my temps will spike all the way to 70c or sometimes ever 75c causing my pump and fans to ramp up. Once I get loaded into the game and am playing I have no issues. My temps will run around 35c-45c and my Utilization will be around 20-30%. I am wondering if this is something normal or if I should be concerned about my CPU. CPU - i9-9900KF Cooler - Fractal Design S36 (I was having this issue prior to the cooler swap and it persisted after) I just recently upgraded to the S36 because I thought maybe having a bigger radiator and one more fan could alleviate the high temps, So I know that thermal paste application is good and was good prior to the swapping of the cooler. Thanks for any help you have to offer. Sorry if I am missing any info I am a beginner when it comes to troubleshooting.

Hello everyone, I'm currently in the market for a new case and the new Phanteks Airflow cases peaked my interest, mainly because of the glowing reviews from Gamers Nexus and other YouTubers. I'm looking at the P360A in particular but it apparently doesn't have any dust filter on the front intake mesh. My PC setup is in my bedroom so dust is a concern. Owners of this case, or similar cases from Phanteks, how fast does the dust build up/how bad is it inside the case? How often would I need to be using my CompuCleaner to clear it out? If you have other case recommendations for a similar price, £70 to £80, then please leave them in the comments too Edit: as requested here's the fan layout, I'll be using the 2 included front fans and adding my own 2 exhausts to the back of the case. I've read that positive pressure is better to reduce the speed at which dust gathers inside so I'll be setting the exhausts to run at a slightly slower RPM than the intakes. Thank you

Bought this: Other details: Current build is in sig. I'm just wondering if this is good to cool my CPU (3600), and later something like a 10700k ? And is one fan enough or should I have bought a second one? Also if someone knows how much thermal paste is included that would be awesome (basically enough for the swap I'll do later, so 3x cpu 'change'?)

Hello. This is my first time i'm here. I just got DeepCool Gammaxx 400 v2 for my PC and Arctic Cooling MX4 2 days ago. After I installed the cooler, my CPU temperature reached 38 - 50 degrees Celsius when idle / load at 1300 RPM (I used ASRock Fan-Tastic Tuning). Is it normal or not? Sorry for my bad English. Thank You.

I'm planning on upgrading the fans on my scythe cooler (my cpu recently started idling jumping between 40-50 degrees and new thermal paste didn't help) with noctua NF-P12 redux 1700 fan(s) but im worried about losing performance due to the fans behind it. My cooler has a push and pull fan with a case exhaust right behind it and i want to know whether upgrading 1 or 2 fans on the cooler will be hinderd by the exhaust. Idealy i'd get 3 noctua fans but thats a bit pricy and maybe excessive. I'm basically asking for someone wo understands airflow better then me to give their help. i attached a (extremely proffesional) picture to help explain. scythe mugen 5 pcgh ryzen 3600
