Hi Everyone, So I bought a TUrbo-X ZUB-XPSSD HDD / SSD docking station today. This little beast can contain 2 pcs of 2.5" HDDs, and has hotswap functionality. Pretty neat. I was so excited about it that one tiny fact slipped my attention: To be able to use it, I would need a 19-pin connection on the motherboard. Given the fact that I have a laptop, I don't have that available. The only cable they included is a female 19-pin connector, which "comes out of the box", literally speaking. My questions may sound a little silly (if not a lot): 1) Is there a legit converter for this cable? 2) If I buy a 19-pin to USB converter cable, would the thing work if I just plug it into my laptop? I have an Acer Helios 500 (Intel version). I have attached pictures which show the front and the backside of the device, and its cable. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

I need more power to run hard drives. I have a free PCI-E cable I think I can use to achieve this. My first thought was PCI-E to Sata power convertion, but couldn't find any adapters. I then started wondering if I can convert PCI-E to Molex and then Molex to Sata power. This is possible, but some PCI-E to Molex, and Molex to Sata power, have splits and multiple endings. This makes me worried about correct power consumption. I want to run as many drives as possible. Anyone that can help me here?

I recently purchased the Sennheiser GSP 300's which btw fit amazingly and sound great with a decent mic and I want to use this headset with my HTC Vive for its better microphone and audio than the normal vive mic and earphones however the 3.5mm jack connector on the vive is headphones only not mic and headphones so the only other solution I can think of is buying a USB type A (which the vive has 1 spare of) to headphone and microphone ports, does anyone know of any good converters or any other suggestions that could help. Thanks

I have this old lg flatron ez t711s crt monitor and I'm having trouble with it, or specifically with the hdmi to vga adapter I have, I've tried two different ones but both have this problem where the signal just cuts out every 30 seconds or so, its still just about usable but its really annoying, I know the problem is not with the monitor because it works fine with a native VGA output so I'm pretty sure its the adapter, so if anyone here knows of a good HDMI to VGA converter and its model, I will be very thankful. Thank you,

My mother passed away last month and as a result my siblings and I have been trying to clean out the house we all grew up in. That isn't easy because my particular family of pack rats has lived in this house for 46 years. I've come across a bunch of things I didn't realize were still here such as my Palm PDA, my Sony eBook reader (that predated the Kindle), and my Sony Walkman. My most interesting (electronic at least) find is an external Zip drive and about a half dozen 100 MB zip disks. I bought them in the mid 1990's to increase the storage of the 420 MB hard drive in my first PC. I am really curious as to what I might find on these disks almost 25 years later. The problem I have is connecting a parallel port device to a PC that only has USB ports. I can find parallel port to USB adapters on Amazon such as the Sabrent USB to Parallel IEEE 1284 Printer Cable Adapter (CB-CN36). Now I have no idea if the drive will still work and whether the disks will still be readable after 25 years. But assuming they do still function, would such a cable be all that I would need access the disks? Thank you in advance for any advice.

I have recently acquired a MSI GeForce GTX 1060 Gaming X 6G GPU which I'm trying to connect to 3 monitors. This GPU has 1x HDMI, 1x DVI, 2x DisplayPort.Unfortunately none of my monitors has DisplayPort Input so from my research I'm left with buying a DisplayPort to HDMI adapter and use it on the 3rd monitor1st monitor -> HDMI2nd monitor -> DVI3rd monitor -> DisplayPort -> DisplayPort to HDMI adapter -> HDMIMy question is: does a passive adapter work or do I require an active adapter for this setup to work? I believe the DisplayPort on this GPU is not DP++ and from I could get from my google-fu this means I need an active adapter but the answers are not clear so I'm hoping someone here can confirm.Just in case I'm doing something incorrect with my setup, I also accept advice regarding that Thank you

Hey all! So I have my old PS2 controller alongside a PC converter to make it playable on PC. It works fine for the most part, apart from the button designations that don't display the Playstation button symbols like "Square", "R1", "L1", "Start", etc., but it displays them as "Button 1", "Button 3", etc. Is there a way to change how they are displayed? I tried navigating the Devices & Printers in the Control Panel, but all I found was only the testing if all the buttons are working. Looking forward for some replies. Cheers!! P.S.: I don't have a PS3/ PS4/ XBox/ XBox One controllers because I've never had those consoles. I only have my PS2 from back in the day.

Hello guys, I'm new to the forum. Sorry if this post is badly formatted, Anyone knows what kind of DC output is this or knows what is it called? it has 2 pins or of some sort? (Picture below) The power rating is normal 100-240V ~ 50/60 Hz | 1.5A (1.5 A). I would like to use it as secondary monitor but the power adapter is gone.

I don't know how to approach this problem. Happening for quite a while now ( ) The problem is that is now I use a laptop for apparently all tasks now. (I will upgrade the PC later, exams for now) So, I thought to use the monitor previously for the PC So I did just that and it works fine but some games refuse to run Full Screen. (NFS MW 12,for ex.) and as for the other games, (like CSGO) it refuses to run at specific resolutions (take 1280x960, for ex.) with an error "Input Not Supported" for all issues For games like NFS, I may have to reduce resolution (not sure, just assuming) My laptop doesn't have a VGA port, I use HDMI to VGA adapter (old monitor) both laptop and monitor have native resolution 1366x768 @ 60Hz (monitor port is only VGA) display adapters include HD 620 and 940MX Thank you in advance, looking forward to your help.

So I have an Apple Power Macintosh G3, which has a 6gb hard drive. I believe it is IDE, but it may not be. I also have an old SATA drive. I was wondering if there was an adapter or converter to make the black female end into a SATA male data cable. I know where I can get a Molex to SATA power cable, but idk if there is an adapter for this... if there is and you find one, if you could please link it for me. Thanks in advance! There is the cable

I've seen hundreds if not thousands of people requesting this type of adaptor as far back as two years ago. Why does this still not exist??? I have an Acer B326HK ymjdpphz which has HDMI but only 1.4 and so only supports 4K@60Hz through the DisplayPort. It's fine to connect to my GTX 970 in my desktop but I want to connect to my Xbox One X and get full 60Hz...

Hello everybody. I live in Bahrain and we use UK power outlets (G type plug). I'm planning to buy EVGA SuperNOVA 850 G2, 80+ GOLD 850W but I know nothing about voltage and stuff like that but is it possible that I can get it off of amazon with a UK power cable instead of US or can I safely use a 3$ US to UK adapter without it blowing up in my face

Ok, To start this off ill give you a little background. I have 1 LG 29um57-p and 2 LG 25um56-p's. They are 12:9 ultrawides with a resolution of (2560x1080) don't know if that considered 2k or 1080p. I'm building a new rig and i need to find a Display port to HDMI converter that works and that is CHEAP AND RELIABLE (Already spent so much money on this new comp last thing i would want to do is shell out more money for an expensive cable). I want it to be (2560x1080) at 60hz but I cant find any cheap reliable cables/converters. Does anyone have experience wit a Displayport to HDMI converter? Preferably DP 1.2 to HDMI 2.0. I already have a DVI to hdmi from my previous setup and it works perfect, and its just a regular amazon basics cable. I'm not worried about my monitors getting sound use speaker/headphones anyways. And if you were wondering the monitors only have 2 HDMI for their display ports. Hope to get this solved quick because im on a deadline and need to get this system working. Thanks a bunch i know this is a lot of questions and sorry if i confused you.

hdmi to vga What are all the limitations of active converters?
Peta posted a topic in Graphics Cards
Good day I recently baught myself the new msi gtx1060, wich has hdmi, displayport and dvi-d. Now i only have an analog vga screen. 75Hz with a resolution of 1200x800. I want to know wich converter is the best to use(between hdmi-vga / displayport-vga / dvi-d - vga). Will an active converter limit my frames to less than 75fps. If there is a difference between the active converters please let me know. Ps: buying a new monitor is not an option right now. Thanks in advance.- 3 replies

I recently replaced the ancient EVGA GeForce GTX 570 HD in my personal rig with an EVGA GeForce GTX 1060 SuperClocked. The new card doesn't support VGA in the sense that the DVI port has pins for analog output, so I had to buy a cheap DisplayPort to VGA adapter. I noticed right away the blacks were too black, despite my monitor having brightness maxed out (at 100) out of the box with the contrast at the default of 75, which worked perfectly with the old 570. The card recognizes the monitor to be plugged via DVI, according to Nvidia Control Panel. It shows two DVI outputs despite there physically being only one, though I am led to believe that is how DisplayPort works with adapters. Unfortunately this "too dark" issue haunts me in the desktop, I mention that because I'm well aware I can "fix" this in game by sliding the brightness setting up or something along those lines, but let's remember that brightness control only works in fullscreen games. So instead of fiddling around with color management, what are some ways I can fix my "very deep blacks to the point where I can't distinguish different shades of dark grey" issue? Don't question why I'm using VGA instead of HDMI, despite my monitor clearly having HDMI ports. I have my reasons.

I am looking for some kind of switch/converter for my audio, I need to take the 3.5mm output jack from my mother board and spilt/convert it to optical so I can hook up my speakers. As well as the ability to "switch" between them and my 3.5m head set. Does anyone know what kind of product/device I need to do this?

Looking for a converter to go from black 4 pin fan/pwm styler LED cable connector to a 4 pin style as seen on the white one. Anyone know where I can find one? Can solder/splice if needed
