I have a ZyXEL NBG-418N v2 router which keeps dropping the internet connection every 1.5 hours or so and I have no idea what's causing it. The internet is fine without the router but I have no wifi without it. What I've tried so far: - Increase DHCP Lease time - Setting static IP - Factory reset Any and all help is greatly appreciated...

Hey guys! My system has an EVGA SuperNova 650 G2 for the PSU. While building my rig I intended on buying a second GPU later on. I currently have one EVGA GTX 1070 FTW. A 650 watt is more then enough power for two 1070s. Small hitch though... My GPU needs two 8 pin connectors. The 650 G2 only has two VGA ports which have one 8 pin, and one 6 pin each. Is it RIP SLI or are there any solutions for me Thanks guys, Eric

I have a DIR-890L router with hardware revision A1, and the firmware is 1.10 (latest at time of post). The router lately has been dropping the internet connection to all devices connected. I just have to go and turn off the router for 10 seconds and turn it back on and the problem is fixed for the next few hours. I have a few port forwards set up, but nothing else is out of the ordinary. I ran the windows troubleshooter once and it said there was a default gateway error, but I'm not very experienced with networking so I'm not sure what that means. Any help is much appreciated.

I have a D-LINK DIR-850L router. My connection is 100 mbit up/down and I use the wireless connection at the moment. Whenever I test my internet speed I run at a steady 4 MB/s up- and download speed. However, when I transfer files to my backup drive (the model is a WD My Cloud), which is connected to the same router I upload and download at around 13 MB/s. Which is the internal network. The file is still transferred wirelessly. The lan connection gives me a stable 11/12 MB/s up- and download rate. So I know the router is capable of higher speeds than 4 MB/s. What is at fault here?

I recently purchased a Logitech MX master and I love it, the only downside is whenever I do use it my internet speeds go down to turtle speeds! I use a Microsoft Surface Book with Performance Base, and I suffer the internet decrease whether i use the included Logitech Bluetooth dongle or not. I know the issue is from the MX because now whenever i want to download anything or watch a movie in anything buy 480p I have to switch off the mouse and it's really spoiling my experience with the mouse. Any thoughts on a fix anyone?

I just moved to a new house, and we installed 5G wireless. Turns out my PC is incompatible with this type of connection, so the network won't show up available for me PC to connect to. I need suggestions on how to connect to it so I can enjoy the wifi. BTW, the room with my PC is far from router, and there is no Ethernet ports anywhere except where the router is. I personally am a noob when it comes to this. So, is there anything I can upgrade to my computer, install, or just run a long Ethernet cable so my computer can connect to the 5G.

Hey guys, So i got a Evga gtx 1070ftw and im about to install it. im aware it needs 2x 8pin connectors and the psu i got has two different vga cables. Both cables are identical, they have an 8pin on one side to plug the cable to the psu and on the other side they both have a 6 and a 6+2pin. If im going to need 2x8 pins for the gpu it means i will need to use both those cables, but what will i do with the spare 6pin on both those cables? Will i just leave them hanging there?

Hi all, This is my first topic so sorry if I put it in wrong part of a forum or something. I have purchased 3 ultra cheap strip of only red lightning for my case (red and black NZXT H440) and it comes only with 2 wires, one red on +12V and one black on minus (-) only. I was wondering how can I connect it to my case and what is the best way? I was thinking to put it into molex connector so I can plug and unplug each strip individually and not to solder second strap at the end of first and third at the end of second because maybe if its too much I only want 1 strip or something. Also I have pictures to see what I have and if I should use molex which lighting cable must go where to molex. I have never done this, that is why I am first asking then doing it Thanks guys

--------------------SOLVED---------------------------- Hey, this is my first post on here. GO LTT I got an Acer Predator g3-305 I bought in 2015. and i'm in the process of upgrading it. I switched out the gpu to a Geforce 1060. And Now I want to put a few SSD into it. But I'm a novice and I don't know how to, or how many SSD's I can connect to it or how. I don't know what type of motherboard it is either, can't find that information anywhere. If some of you know the answers I would be so thrilled cheers from Denmark.

Good day. I have encountered a strange behavior in my network. My Router is the only DHCP server on my network, and there are 15 connected computers with DHCP Reservation each. One day I've decided to temporarily disconnect one computer and I removed it from the DHCP Reservation and obviously it shouldn't connect to its reserved ip which is x.x.x.160 . After 4 days, I've connected the aforementioned computer and I am expecting that the DHCP server should assign it on x.x.x.100 , but the ip address remains the same (x.x.x.160). PS: DHCP Lease is set to 12 hours. Is it strange? or Is it normal? Can you please enlighten me about it. Thank you very much.

So I have a few questions of trying to understand Fiber connector types and a few other things on Fiber networks. First thing is can any connector be on any end of Fiber patch cable. For example, does it have to be LC to LC or can it be anything like LC to SC, or can it only work some ways like, for example, I know LC to FC exists but does FC to SC for instance? Sorry for the bad explaining. Next, do you have to have the block connector things, not sure what there called but the things that hold each fibre cable side by side on when you plug it into an SFP transceiver, on to plug it into an SFP transceiver? Can someone explain simply what is the difference between simple and multimode? I've watched a few videos but can't understand. I understand that ISP's use "Simple mode" when running Fiber, but that has nothing to do with simplex or duplex does it? Because they need to offer you download and upload which is duplex, right? Last, so a Fiber switch is known as an FC Switch (Fiber Channel Switch), can this Switch accept any Fibre connector assuming you get a SFP/SFP+ (not sure what one) transceiver on the end of the Fiber cable connector? Thanks. If my questions aren't detailed enough please do ask me what i mean I'll try to explain in more detail and maybe with pictures...

I have been having connection issues for about a year now and I was wondering are these results typical for cable connections? I have also just reset the modem and router so all this information should be unaffected by the days and weeks it has been running. Thank you, Pixelbolt

Built a computer for the first time. Having a strange problem with my wireless adapter (TP-Link TL-WDN4800). Most of the time when I start up my computer, my downloads are capped at about 3.0 MB/S and get lag spikes at regular intervals while playing TF2. These lag spikes are always at the same time, about 10 seconds apart, and then I extrapolate for about 3-4 seconds. I've attatched a few screenshots of the netgraph and you can see via the game time how consistant and similar the lag spikes are at the bottom of the graph. I am able to fix the problem if I restart my wireless adapter or restart my computer until I get a better connection. This fix usually takes 3-4 restarts for it to work but once I get the good connection where I can download around 7-8 MB/S and have no regular lag spikes with good ping, the connection is completely fine until I turn off my computer. I understand that wireless connections may have lag spikes and are less reliable in general, but the lag spikes I'm seeing are too regular for me to believe its just an issue of it being a wireless connection. Not to mention I am able to hold the good connection as long as I like so long my system has power. Here are a couple of things I've already tried: Updated my wireless cards drivers - Tried the driver supplied by Windows, the most current driver from the TP-Link website, and the qualcomm 10.0.326 driver that had been suggested as a windows 10 compatible driver. All of these drivers give me the same problem and all of these drivers are able to get the better connection that I mentioned. Updated my wireless router driver. Changed the wireless router from auto to different channels to see if I was getting some sort of interference. Made sure "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" is not on. Moved my router closer to my machine, which did make a big impact when I have the good connection but made no difference when I had the poor one. Turned off my firewall and windows defender. Here are my specs: Windows 10 Home 64 bit OS TL-WDN4800 Wireless Adapter MSI Z170 Gaming M7 Motherboard Intel Core i7 6700K CPU 2X8GB G.Skill Ripjaws V Series DDR4-2133 RAM Samsung 850 EVO-Series 500GB SSD EVGA 750W 80+Gold Power Supply No dedicated video card Any help or insight would be appreciated! I'm really hoping I don't need to buy a new adapter.

Hello, Just installed Debian 9 on my first server. (PowerEdge R610)However, I am not having any success getting it to connect to the internet. From the looks of it. I can see that it's recognizing the interfaces as I'm able to select them using the network manager. But, once plugged in, no connection is established. Not even a prompt or anything.I tried to bring the eno1 interaface up via the terminal (ifup command)But no luck,Terminal returned something along the lines of"Interface eno1 not recognized" http://fb.pics/image/tQzbhttp://fb.pics/image/tahhAny and all help is appreciated.Note: I'm used to kali linux and this OS a new to me.

Hey all Back again with yet another networking question This time there is the setup I have a linux router, doing portforwarding using IPtables. External client logs into internal server using ssh on routers external IP What im looking for is a graceful way to close the connection Not block it, just close it. Currently I am adding a forward drop to the top of the tables list, and that breaks the connection, but it doesn't drop it properly, and as soon as I remove the rule, the connection just pops back up What im wanting is for when I drop the connection, the client drops properly and has to re connect to the server, rather than just auto connecting (If that makes any sense?) And yes I know there is a timeout, (putty will timeout if no connection is made within a certain time), but I want it to work for everything, even if the timeout isn't set on the client side Thanks again for any help, and fingers crossed there is a good way of doing this

I want to connect a condenser mic to a VT-3 voice transformer and then the voice transformer to an audio interface. I'm wondering if I should use phantom power on both the voice transformer and the audio interface. I want to make sure that they'll be no conflict that'll result in looping or feedback.

Ive been having this problem for a few days now and its starting to make me think its the internet provider but I dont know. I try to play some games and it will kick me out of steam and log me back into steam, kicking me out of the game. This is what my steam chat looks like. I play rust most of the time and I get kicked out at about Receiving Data or about 20 seconds or a minute inside the game. Cant play rust at all right now. Ive been searching the web for solutions and I havent found any what so ever.

So im thinking on getting a Xbox One S (or new) controller and i would like to go with the white version since it matches my colour scheme. When entering the electronic site of the country im currently in, it says that you can only connect this controller wirelessly (my pc doesnt have bluetooth and im not interested in a dongle) I've read and seen on the top of this controller that there is a port for a micro usb cable which allows you to connect it to your pc but i am still not sure if when connecting the controller to the computer it will just charge the controller or if i will be able to use it to play. Second thing that is keeping me from making the order is that even though most people say you can just buy a micro usb cable and plug it in, i've read that there are many types of micro usb cables and one guy said that you will need a type A to B cable to connect the xbox one s controller. I mean, its clear that there is some port on the top of the controller but i just dont know what type of cable i should get and whether it will just akt like a charger or if i will be able to play with it Site with detailed photos of controller: https://www.polygon.com/2016/7/29/12322122/the-buttons-ports-and-thumbsticks-of-the-new-xbox-one-s-controller Site which sells the controller and cables: http://www.public.gr/product/microsoft-xbox-one-new-controller-heiristirio-leyko/prod8220695pp/ http://www.public.gr/search/public/searchResultsSN.jsp?sn.q=micro usb It would be cool if you could check out on whats available. Anyways, thanks for your time and i hope you can come up with something.
