I wonder if the front panel audio jack affect other component in the case... Like if I am carelessly move my head too far away from the case reach then Will it's dammage other component in the case as well? (ex: decrease performance of the pc, causing blue screen, .....)

Hi everyone, I just tried to turn my Hz above 60 to 144hz, my monitor is an AOC G2460PF which supports 144hz. When I clicked on a hz above 60 it flickered and turned off. Anyone know some of the factors or the exact reason why?

Hi, So I built a new pc, it consists of a ryzen 3900x, geforce rtx 2070 super, Asus x570 plus (wifi) motherboard and a Corsair 650w gold PSU. The cooler is a dark pro 4, ram is 16gb, ssd 1tb and hdd 2 tb. I've checked that everything is is connected correctly and so on. Everything powers up, there's a signal and only thing that shows up is the tuf gaming screen, along with click f2 and del for the bios. The USB connections all work, as the keyboard lights up, phone charges, etc. But when I click f2 and del, as well as any other key, it does nothing, so I'm stuck in that screen. I'm really confused and would love any insight into what I have to correct and look at, as it isn't something that I can find a solution to online. As the PSU is fine, the graphics card works and I'm sure the CPU and motherboard is fine as everything powers up and operates. Just can't get into the bios, since keyboard doesn't work and can't download any OS due to the issue. Sorry about the hideous pics, the cable management has been terrible.

Do people still say newb? I am completely out of touch. I am going to follow Windspeed35's template exactly. 1. Budget & Location I've been thinking about building my own PC for awhile now, mostly because i think it would be fun and I love the idea of being able to upgrade a system piece-wise. Technically I have a 2000 US dollars budget but I would love to be able to make something that will do all I want it to for $500, maybe $1000 2. Aim I am working on learning R and python to analyze data so most importantly i need to run those smoothly for data sets like the ones you would find on kaggle. I am also would like to begin recording and editing music off of this build. I like games as much as the next guy, but I figure its going to be pretty easy to get a significant upgrade as far as graphics and performance goes. right now I have a HP Elitebook 8460p with I think is a AMD Radeon HD 6470M graphics card. I'd like something that can run pretty much any game, but I definitely don't need them to run on the highest settings (it would be pretty neat if i could run Skyrim special edition with some mods). Thats pretty much what I would like this computer to do in order of importance. 3. Monitors I currently only have one screen. Its a dell, one that you would expect to find in a public library. At first I'd like to buy an additional screen with better resolution and keep my dell for work stuff. Eventually I would like to have three screens but I don't need that now. 4. Peripherals I know nothing about peripherals, I use a hp keyboard and a Logitech wireless mouse. If anyone would be kind enough to educate me on the subject I'd be more than happy to learn. I will probably be using windows 10 because windows is what I know, but I would love to experiment with Linux. The last time I tried Linux it was with an old lap top and it became really slow really quickly. I'd love to have a system that easily work in and switch between the two. 5. Why are you upgrading? Based off of my two most important needs, data analysis and music editing, I think most people would tell me just to get a good apple, but I haaaaate apple. My current laptop is also old and does not deal with large data sets particularly well, but no worse than a basic desktop computer. and I would be uncomfortable running both windows and Linux off of it. At the end of the day I am kind of tired of my technology holding me back from being able to pursue my hobbies. Things I think I know From what i understand I do not want to sacrifice on the ram for data analysis. The more the better. I have no clue what makes a rig good for audio editing. So what do you think? could I get all I want with one of Linus' 500 dollar builds? or should I up the budget to 1000? Id really like to stay away from 2000. Any advice would be appreciated, especially on what makes a good audio editing computer. I have no clue what I'm doing. If you read this entire thing you are a saint, Thank you!

Im looking to buy a new mic because i dont like the mic on my headset. after some searching, i found that the Neewer NW-700 Professional Studio Broadcasting Recording Condenser Microphone Is the best, cheap microphone. Im not familiar with all the audio techy stuff. i want to know what things i will need to buy to get this mic to work properly. For animation designing and stuff and slightly gaming..which one is better ?

Alright so I have this little i3 low-power desktop I garbage picked and it uses an external brick for power. Recently it's been acting weird and any shut-down could be its last as it takes me an hour of reseating and resetting cmos to finally get POST. Here are the distinct states I've observed - Power, spinup, HDD activity light solid for a few seconds then turns off. Spindown, Repeats until post or it goes into the next state. - Power, spinup, HDD activity blinking like normal but no screen. Resetting CMOS puts it back in the first state. When this happens I must remove the RAM(I have used new sticks used sticks and even sorta broken sticks) and clean the pins before reseating and trying again. Could this be a short in the case, I already installed new standoffs that were a touch bigger. No graphics card at all, integrated with the CPU. No pci slots. two ddr3 slots, both occupied currently by 8 gigs of hyper x blue. That i3 clocks at 2.8. The base pre-built is a pavilion p2 from hp with an over-sized air cooler. I'd also like to mention that accidentally kicking the thing causes a blue screen half the time. I was thinking loose ram slots. Both of them because I've tried a single stick in either slot. Maybe faulty locking levers. Another thing to note is if it goes into hibernate before power is removed it has NONE of the described troubles. Before you suggest a new board I don't have the money. I'd rather fix this and gain the experience and the savings than buy a new one and forget the issue.

So, I can't make that Galaxy Camera video because I just can't make it so special yet. I want to finish the PC first and then try to make that Re-Unboxing video. What I also do is I messed up my Galaxy Camera so I can't open it because I forgot the pattern... I want to ask my dad if it's okay if I factory reset it or is there any other way to unlock that phone?

Hi everyone. I want to know if the P600-ATX 800W PSU worth it for my budget gaming pc? Because I have been shocked of this PSU cause it has no 4 pin cpu connector that my mobo can support. Here is the pic of the available connectors and damn I am so pissed for my 45dollars here in the Philippines. And one person quoted me that the 4 pin is only meant for a 4 pin connector and not for a 6 pin.

I am trying to port forward my computer for several games. My default IP is 192.168.0.1. I port forwarded my PS4 for CoD: BO3 the other day successfully. Lets say it's IP is 192.168.0.200. The first port that I needed to open is Port 80. Fast forward to today. I got my PC set up with a static address. Lets say it is 192.168.0.201. The first port I need to open is Port 80. When I try this in my modem it yells at me: Oops, local start port overlaps! SO then, I am wondering if I can use the default IP in its place to cover both games on both systems. So, type in 192.168.0.1, local start 80, local end 80, external start 80, external end 80, BOTH, ON.

Hi Guys, I not a fan of overclocking but, Which among these three CPU are best for raw performance? Ryzen 5 1600x, Ryzen 7 1700 or I7 7700k? The r7 1700 and i7 7700k are almost the same price in my country. While the R5 1600x are around 80$ less I think. But I don't care I just want to know which among those three have better performance if I will NOT CLOCK them. I'm more on games, and will try AAA games. And will those three support 1440p, 144hz Monitor? My GPU is Gtx 1070 strix Thank you guys!!

Maybe like 3 months ago or so, my PC randomly started on its own in the middle of the night. I'd had it for 6+ months already then, and that was the first time it ever did that. I checked for wake timers. None. I checked BIOS for some weird startup setting. Nada. I gave up and dismissed it as some freak thing that I didn't feel like figuring out. It just happened again. Note that since the last time I've upgraded my PSU, so it wouldn't be that. Can anyone help me get to the bottom of this?

i have a couple questions, 1. can i hang the drive bays from the bottom of the 5.25 drives and have a 60mm thick 240 rad in the front? 2. what are the dimensions of 5.25 bays as 60/85mm of space will used in the 5.25 bay since a 60mm thick 360 radiator will be inside atleast one slot, and a 25mm ekwb vardar fan for push pull (with pull being mounted right at the top where the fan filter cover thing is) 3. what is a good fan controller that can power 8 fans (all on the radiators) or atleast a minium of 5 PWM fans? 4. will i have enough room (hieght for a EK-XRES 100 Revo D5 PWM (incl. pump) but with a 204mm resovoir)? and not interrupt the gpu(1080 ftw) 5. how can i create positive pressure with 3x120(SP) intake and 3x120(SP) exhaust and 1x140mm/120mm(AF) also exhaust

So i have a gaming pc with a really bad amd cpu and was wondering should i change to a cheap msi motherboard and buy myself a Intel Core Kabylake i5-7600K Processeur 3,80 Ghz but i dont know if i should trust my friend because he isnt a pro , so my specs are my gpu is a gtx 750ti with 8gb ram ddr3 , when i get my new motherboard i will normally recive 16gb ram ddr4 ! Hey guys, I have a bit of a dumb question that I'm hoping the folks here can help me out with. I just bought a new (to me) house and want to set up my network, but I'm not exactly sure what I need. The cable comes in the basement where I'll have a cable modem, and a switch, but for wifi do I need a router or an access point? I was thinking about putting a Ubiquiti access point on the ceiling of the main floor, but should I look at a router instead? Can someone explain the difference between a router and an access point? Is a router more or less a Switch with an access point attached to it, or is there more going on there? So recently I had a ton of problems with my gtx 1080, the screen would go black and fans ramp up, the OS would continue to work under it. In games, or in idle, sometimes it wouldn't even boot into windows. Reliability history always said it's a driver problem. On linux, the crashes were a lot rarer, and windows safe mode crashed only once. This first started happening couple months ago, but in the last month it was so often that it made the PC unusable. Without the graphics card, system was stable. Ram was good. So there were only a couple of options. 1) Driver issues I tried everything, from clean OS installs, ddu + a shit ton of older drivers, leaving only windows drivers, etc- it was sorta stable on the basic driver but even that would occasionally crash. 2) GTX 1080 was broken - I RMA'd the card. They stress tested it for 2 days, nothing. 3) Dust - I kept it as clean as it came from the box. 0 dust. 4) PSU - It's basically a new ax1200i PSU which I bought couple of years ago but never used until now. I mean, it could be it, but srsly.. 5) Cables - the connection indicators for gtx 1080 cables were always white- meaning connected and powered. I connected the card and the PSU with 2 cables, one for the 6 pin, and one for 8 pin. I didn't change anything. This setup was stable until some windows updates, or so I thought. But it happens in other OS'es too, so .. What ended up fixing it, was connecting the PSU and GTX with only one cable. Why? I though, maybe the PSU has more than one voltage rails and it causes instabilities. Nope, 1 rail. How I noticed it: If you connect the 1080 (asus strix 08C) in the PCI slot only, indicators (2 of them) are red. Originally I thought if you connect voltage to them, they go white, but no! Just if you connect the cable to them, they go white. But! If you connect, for example, the fractal edison modular cable to the card only, to the 8 pin only, it's white. To the 6 pin only, it's white. If you do the same with corsair's cables, 8 pin only, white. 6 pin only, RED! FAULTY CABLE!!!!! or not.. both the corsair cables that I had did it. If you connect 2 corsait cables to gtx only, no psu, 8 pin is white, 6 pin is red, edison cables, both connectors white. If you connect only 1 corsair cable to both 8 and 6 pins, both white. All of this without power from PSU. If they are connected to PSU, both the 6 and 8 pins will go white anyway. Also, the eddison and ax1200i psu have different modular cables, wires are connected differently, and psu side connectors are different. What is going on. Why does it work on one cable, and not on 2 cables? It makes no sense really. And It's not like the connectors are loose or anything like that, really.

@LinusTech PLEASE make a techquickie video on how PCI lanes work and how and why you need a certain amount! I'm SO confused. I got a GPU that needs 3.0 16x lanes, but I also have a Wireless net card. Does it then only use 1 lane? 4 lanes? 16 lanes? How??? My cpu (7600k) apparently "only" supports 16 pci lanes?? SOOOOO Confused right about now. So If i was to add for example 1 more 1080ti would it just not even detect it? What If i added 2 PCI SSD's on top of that, what would THEN happen? Since there are only 16 lanes, and the GPU uses it all, would it run faster, if I took the Net card out, and used the built-in LAN?

Hey guys, I wanna be able to connect to my network and access my servers from anywhere with my laptop and or my girlfriends laptop. So I did some research on this and found I need a router with the capability of doing so. So i bought a Cisco RV320 gigibite dual WAN VPN router. I took my old residential home wifi router out as out this in its place. Set it up correctly "I think" then turned DHCP server off since my DC has the DHCP server on it. And now I can't access ether of my servers and my PC won't even pull an IP address. I tried ipconfig /release and then ipconfig /renew and it won't pull an new IP. Lol and then after I get this figured out I need help setting up the VPN part. System info server 1: dell poweredge 1950 windows server 2012 R2 data center server 2: dell poweredge 2950 windows server 2012 R2 data center my desktop : windows 10 laptop: Lenovo windows 10 NETWORK LAYOUT. from the modem it goes to a switch for things I don't want on my network "like my APEX for my saltwater tank". From that switch goes to the DMZ/WAN port on the new Cisco vpn router, on the LAN ports on the router 1 server 1, 2 server 2, 3 my PC, 4 is empty just has a long Ethernet cable for my laptops and is ment for a wireless access point in the future. Currently running a MSI Golden Edition 6GB 980Ti, paired with a i7 2600. My issue is in most games the GPU really doesnt seem to be working that hard but neither does my cpu. In the forest I get around 40-50fps with everything on Max by myself 30-35 with others on my own server. GPU sits at about 45% AND MY CPU around 40-50???? So I don't understand what is wrong all my drivers are up to date. The Ark on Epic Settings with ground clusty on half v-sync off 40 fps same case with low CPU and GPU usage. If Screen shots or test programs are needed please link below and ill do asap. If its any help here my heaven benchmark score

I am trying to purchase a rx 580 for my first build and I realise the price has risen because of miners. However, what I don't understand is that on all websites it says you can preorder the cards but I thought they released a while ago? Can someone explain what has happened?
