Budget: ~$500 Country: US Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Hi Everyone, I made my first build about 2 years ago, but my case is kind of failing, so i want to upgrade the case, power supply, and maybe motherboard/cpu depending on if there's anything good upgrades reasonably priced. Im also planning on getting a 3070 with this new build, so i want this to account for that as well. I do want RGB for the case, but I don't care about RGB for anything else. For the power supply, I just want it to be modular. I am looking to spend $50-100 for the case and $50-100 for the power supply. Can I get suggestions of what would be good and compatible with this current build? https://pcpartpicker.com/list/K6zW4s

Hi everyone! So i have been gaming on my pc and when i play games that are harder to run like Call of Duty Warzone, GTA V and Fortnite. I get really annoying lag spikes. I am wondering why i get those. When i go to my task manager i can see that my cpu gets between 80% and 100% usage while gaming. My RAM gets between 70% and 95% usage. My hdd sometimes hits 100%. And my GPU doesn't reach 100% usage. I will put a list of my specs below here. I want to know if the lag spikes are caused by a certain copponent, and what copponent would i have to change and what would need to be the replacing component so i don't get anymore lag spikes in those games. CPU: Intel Core i5 7600K - 3.8 GHz GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 1070 Ti GAMING 8G MotherBoard: MSI Z270-A PRO Case: BitFenix Neos - Midtowermodel Powersuply: Corsair VS Series VS550 CPU Cooler: Scythe Mugen 5 PCGH Edition HardDisk: WD Blue WD10EZEX MemoryCard: Ballistix Tactical 8GB - DDR4 Monitor: Philips V-line 243V7QDAB - LED Monitor Let me know! Thanks, Max

I grew up around computers all my life though, via my dad's job in IT. I'd like to think I have a good general knowledge of the components, what they do, what makes a good one "good" or "bad", etc. I've spent alot time over the past month or so educating and researching all that I can about building so I can feel more confident about doing this. I've found that the more I push myself to learn about this, the easier it feels to do. With that being said, I'm feeling good about my choices for my build and was hoping I could get a bit of feedback on the parts I've chosen. I plan on using it for school and gaming. I'm in school for architecture, so I'll be using alot of design and drafting applications, like Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUP, Photoshop, etc. As far as peripherals go, I've already purchased a LG 4K monitor, Magicforce 2 wireless keyboard, and Logitech MX Master 3. For the monitor, refresh rates and FPS are not a big deal to me, so I don't need any advice on that front. Any other advice or feedback is highly appreciated! Thanks!

graphics card Upgrading Graphics card, new to PC world
PoseidonOnYT posted a topic in Graphics Cards
Hopefully this is the right place to ask this, but I'm looking to upgrade my GTX 950 to something thats not bottlenecked by my I5-4590 cpu I'm not sure if upgrading the cpu or graphics card first would be better, but I can do both eventually. My budget is $100-300ish and any help would be appreciated! -

What do you think about my PC components? Are they compatible with each other? Recently, I've been doing research about PC components and I chose this: Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H110M-H CPU: Intel Core i3-7100 Kaby Lake GPU: Gigabyte GTX 1050 Ti Windforce OC RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport LT 8GB DDR4 Power: Sentey XCP-530W HDD: Western Digital Blue 1TB 7200RPM SSD: Toshiba OCZ TR150 120GB SATA Case: Corsair Carbide 100R Those were the main components, but I chose some more that are "less important": Cooling: Corsair Hydro H60 <or> Zalman CNPS9900 Max; Cooler Master Blade Master 120 PWM <or> Corsair Air AF120 Performance Peripherals: Cooler Master Devastator II Kit; JVC HA-RX700 <or> HyperX Cloud Drone Monitor: LED 22" Full HD 1080p (any brand) Sound: Creative Sound Blaster Z 5.1 It's the first time that I "build" a PC and yes, I did research, but I wanted a 2nd opinion from more experimented people, that's why I made this post. If someone can help me about the compatibility or by suggesting better components (at around the same price) I would appreciate it. Also, it's necessary to say that I live in Argentina (South America), so maybe some products that you suggest aren't available here, while all the components that I chose are.

Hi everyone, I recently posted my build on this forum. I got really good advise from you all, thank for that! Now I changed some components and want a last advise. I got a few tips to change my gpu to a 1070 and get other cheaper components. Unfortunately that is, In my calculation, not possible. A gtx 1060 is 330 euro and a gtx 1070 500 euro. That's just to much for me. But if you can change components the way I can buy the 1070 thnx! I have 1000 euro to spend and don't need to buy RAM, Case, HDD and SSD myself. My build: CPU: Intel core i5-7600K € 260,95 CPU cooler: NZXT kraken 41x € 84,- Motherboard: asus rog strix z270f € 192,50 GPU: asus rog strix 1060 OC 6GB € 335,- PSU: corsair RM650x € 105,95 In total: € 976,50 RAM: corsair vengeance lpx 8GB 3200MHz (2 sticks so 16 in total) HDD: WD 2TB 7200RPM SSD: samsung 960 EVO 500GB (pci m.2) Case: NZXT H440 Razer edition (already bought this one, I got 50 euro discount ) Thanx in advance!!!

I have 1100 euro to spend but I don't need to buy the RAM, SSD, Case, HDD. Which build do you guys think is the best? Not only the most FPS but also durability And will my CPU bottleneck my GPU in build 2? My RAM, SSD, Case and HDD are: RAM: Corsair vengeance lpx 8GB 3200MHz (2 times so 16Gb in total) SSD: samsung 960 EVO (pce m.2) HDD: WD 2TB 7200RPM Case: NZXT h440 razer edition Build 1: CPU: intel core i5 7600K CPU cooler: NZXT kraken 41x Motherboard: asus rog strix Z270F GPU: asus rog strix 1060 OC 6GB PSU: corsair RM650x Build 2: CPU: intel core i5 6600K CPU cooler: NZXT kraken 41x Motherboard: asus Z170-a GPU: asus rog strix 1070 8GB PSU: corsair RM550x Thanks!

Okkkay I'll try not to bore you too much here but long story short: I don't have the 'UCAS' points necessary to start my computing degree in September and so they have given me a chance to prove I can do the course! all I have to do is build a PC and make an essay about the build process and it's benchmarks. Easy right? Wellll iv never built a pc before and I have until June to complete this project I don't have massive amounts of money but still iv managed to use the money I saved for a car and bought these- so far.... I7 6700k intel processor £285 Asus Maximus VIII Ranger motherboard £105 Ballistix 16gb (2x8gb) DDR4 Ram £160 EVGA supernova 850W P2 power supply £100 NZXT H440 razor edition case. £129 all but the case and processor I managed to get 2nd hand and great condition! Iv managed to obtain what I assume is the basics. WHAT I would like HELP with is what is left for me to start the build? Can anyone recommend a powerful but affordable graphics card to run content creation (the course requires us to run allot of programming coding applications that use allot of power?) also I'm genuinely stuck on what fan/water cooler I need for the processor ?? There's so many options it really does confuse the helllll out of me.... Also if anyone knows anything about the case I purchased can anyone advise me on fan placement? im really running out of time so any help would be much appreciated!! Thanks in advance!!!

How to work with components inside the case?
4klips posted a topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
I want to ask how to touch the components inside my case during PC building. Or when I buy used products like motherboard or GPU (without their boxes) how to touch them. I came to know that casually touching them can brick them due to static electricity. I don't have money for antistatic mat or wrist band. -

Hi everyone, I'm building a game pc and I have chosen all the components. Now I need someone to give me advise on the build. I want to know if some components will bottleneck each other and if everything fit each other. I'm planning on playing games like Overwatch, Black Desert Online and the Witcher 3. (I'm aware others may have posted the same thing before but Is like to talk about my version of it) I've been wondering lately, for my purposes, is it better to build something basic, like, weaker or older gpu, gpu and not as much ram, cheap case etc. It'd be for the purposes of gaming, possibly recording and editing as well as things like youtube, anime streaming and general browsing. On the other hand, I'd like to build a more costly mid range-high end pc, around 1000$, things like an i5, rx 460 or better, ssd, more ram, better case, quality psu, probably would use a good board in both though. Now, which do you guys think is a better option sunce I can't afford the whole thing in one go at the moment and my paycheck doesn't leave much to save up. I would also need at least good peripherals and a monitor. Oh, I should also mention I live in Croatia.

Note: I have some of the parts, please take note of that Current Plan: Planned use: Heavy to mildly modded gaming and everyday/school work Budget: less than $2,000 Cooling: 2x 120mm and 3x 140mm fans I wanted an opinion on the motherboard; I'm not sure what motherboard would be best for what I want to use the PC for. Opinions on other parts are welcome also.
