Hey guys im back again looking for yet another build this time a higher budget and for college looking for it to be compact with the bitfenix case ONLY USE THAT CASE IN ANY BUILD YOU RECOMMEND ME. also im going for a blue and white build to fit my current gear. Budget & Location Ok lets get started guys first off my budget for this build is 2k, i don't mind if its a 100 bucks over but anything else is a nah Location will be Canada, and i'm looking to buy the parts off amazon only since i has 3k and i'm buying a bunch of shit off amazon plus my build 2. Aim Looking for anything and everything, Photoshop coding, Cinema 4D, new games anything really.. playing and mixing a bit of audio as well. 3. Monitors I have about 5 monitors currently so il be sparing 3 of those for this computer. il be using a Sapphire Radeon R9 295X2 graphics card so that should do plus any other card you throw into the build if you feel its necessary. (btw that gcard is not in the budget so the computer / build you give me can still be within 2k) 4. Peripherals need windows 8 that is it. maybe a new keyboard but il buy that later. 5. I just ordered a Corsair 350D and a 780 today. I am looking to watercool both my 780 and 3770k(Already Own). I have 240mm rad that I am planning to put in the top of the 350D; also I'm going ordering a Alphacool UT60 by the end of this week. The problem that I am having is I'm having trouble finding Pump/Res is SMALL enough to no interfere with other parts. It can't be a bay reservoir because that is where I am going to put my SDDs and HDDs. I was thinking about a Aquacomputer Pump Adapter w/ Aqualis Reservoir and Pump (Link to it at the bottom); but it might be too tall. So, if I could please have your input on a pump and reservoir I would be much appreciative. It's a very nice card. My only complaint with it is the SLI connector. I know this card will still work with other 670s, but why even bother adding it to the custom PCB if this card was designed for a ITX system? I guess you can say that the small things get to me.

Hello Everyone, Long time lurker and data leech here. I am very excited about the ML07 and I want to watercool it. According to the documentation and Linus' review of the RVZ01 Silverstone has made allowances for custom watercooling with a 240mm rad but you'll be limited to a single slot graphics card. Who wants that?! My question is whether a paired with a Corsair H75 or similar (not overclocking) with the rad placed on the forward most 120mm slot would work? Linus, want to do a video on watercooling options for the ML07 and RVZ01? I will be building this next month with or without liquid cooling so stay tuned. Anyway it appears according to some calculators that I could run this system on a 500W PSU, but just to be safe and leave my options open, I planned to build the system with room for crossfired r9 290s regarding power capabilities. Not saying I would necessarily run this settup, but I figured it was reasonable in case of a future crossfire/SLI as I may try to keep the PSU for awhile. This would push the recommendation for PSU a bit over 700W. My question is: Is there any particular recommendation on a very high quality PSU in the 750W-860W range without completely breaking the bank? Some of the people I trust really recommend SeaSonic products, but I am open to any brand as long as the recommendation is justified. I would be willing to to 80+ platinum or 80+ gold if that is justifiable (longer hardware life? better performance somehow? etc). Really just looking for tips, as I haven't assembled a system before, and don't have any first hand experience with components. Any input welcomed! Is it reasonable to expect a PSU to last 7-8 years? (long enough for 1 mobo/CPU/ram upgrade and maybe 2 gpu upgrades, before totally building a brand new system)? If there is any input on case, other components, that is also welcome. THANKS!! -
ID-Cooling has shown off this new case which is another super small, compact ITX cases. I know lots of people like their rigs bigger, but I personally love the idea of a tiny little case that is an absolute powerhouse. The front IO only has to USB 3 ports and no 5.25" bay or slimline optical drive either. The main feature of the case being the aluminium panel that runs the length of the entire front of the case. I'd like to see this same case but with a straight brushed aluminium front rather than a painted one.

Hi i'm new to this forum.... but lets cut the crap. i'm planning on building new sli gaming rig and i really got inspired with Linus's form factor sli rig. i want to do something along the lines of what he did with a few changes. i remember him having to use reference 780ti's because of suffering thermals and i was wondering if i could get away with using the super clocked versions or even the classified cards(but would the pci-e cables fit with the widened pcb..?) because i am going with a closed loop cooler (ie: h70 or h80i haven't decided). another question i have is the psu... i would like some over clocking headroom so i'm planning on going with a 850w psu instead of the 700w Linus used but would something like the Be Quiet power zone 850w or the corsair AX860w still leave me the space to fit the 2 gpu's? If any of you could help that would be great!, thanks -
Right now I'm torn between the Silverstone SG10B and the BitFenix Phenom M and could really use some help on making my decision. Right now the SG10B appears to have a better internal layout and is slightly smaller, but the Phenom M looks much better externally. I appreciate any opinions you guys can give me. Also note that I will be using a non-modular power supply which I know will be a massive pain to work with, but should be manageable.

Hello Everyone, I need your help, so I am planning on building a small form factor gaming pc with the following components. I am partial to the gtx 770 but am open to suggestions. I do not play MMO's and would like to run almost any other popular game on a 1920x1080 Monitor on ultra at 40+ fps. My absolute max for this pc is $1500, but I would prefer to keep it around 1400 USD (not including peripherals). I am planning to over clock a little bit, not too heavy though. Here is my parts list (There is link at the bottom to PC Part Picker): CPU: Intel i5-4670k -- I think this is pretty much set in stone. I am open to suggestions, but I like this CPU. GPU: Galaxy GeForce GTX 770 2GB -- I like the GTX 770 and I picked this aftermarket card because it looks sexy in white (Yes I realize you can get other cards like the Asus gtx 770 for cheaper) Again I am open to suggestions, but I think this card will suit my needs well. PSU: Corsair Gaming Series 700 Watt RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16 GB -- I want 16gb 1600mhz ram and I you suggest other ram like crucial ballistix, please explain why you chose it over the vengeance. CPU Cooler: Phanteks U-Type Dual Tower Heat-Sink PH-TC12DX Black -- I love the look and performance of this CPU cooler, but if there is a thinner, high quality case available I will change it to fit the case. Motherboard: Z87 LGA 1150 mATX motherboard -- I am not sure about this choice, if you have a better option please suggest it. Case: Fractal Design Arc Mini -- I am currently using this case because it looks sexy. I would like a smaller case for easier travel though, and would like recommendations as to high quality small and portable cases. I am willing to spend more money on the case if it means better portability and quality. Hello, I am new to forms and i would appreciate your responses. I have been wanting to build a pc but i have some limitations to build this pc. I want to build this pc under $250, but if its too low $350 might be ok. I will be using this computer to do basic internet tasks, basic video and photo editing and some very light gaming. I have had the most trouble finding a good cpu. I don't want to spend more than $100 on a cpu. I have been looking at the Intel Pentium Processor G3258. i was mostly brought to it by the price being $70 and the unlocked featured. I know there are a lot more than just this cpu but there are just too many to sort. I would greatly appreciate it if you would recommend a cpu and maybe some other parts to go along with it or maybe some other forms, videos, articles..... I have been searching for a cpu for more than a month. thank you for your time and responses. *edit What apu's would you recommend? thank you so much for responses! edit: for my build the os, and accessories such as a monitor are not part of the price.

just a question to anyone who can answer me this. With an APU possibly saving me some money is it possible to build a compact version? any mobo that can support it? And in the future add a graphics card to boost visual performance or is it a waste of time and should go with a regular CPU and Graphics card? the build im looking to make will be looking at around a budget of 700 bucks and is meant to be for gaming nothing to crazy almost casual but still looking pretty at the same time. Also i am willing to spend up to $200, $250 on graphics alone. will the APU give me results i can see or is it something that i wouldn't necessarily need? ANYONE if you have info on this please reply to me with the knowledge id love to know. -

Hi everyone, I'm looking to build a new custom PC and since I've lost track of hardware a while ago, I'd like to get some help. In short: Budget: $1500 (system only, no peripherals or monitor needed) Use: Gaming (1080p, preferably 120Hz), Media Consumption, possibly Video Editing Other: Compact / Mid-Size Case preferred, would like to avoid large cases, though performance shouldn't be compromised Integrated Wifi or a separate Wifi module would be great DVD/Blu-ray drive required I'd be willing to be more flexible on the budget, but I'm not gaming as much as used to and don't have a 4K monitor, so I feel like spending more wouldn't net me a whole lot of extra value. Something to consider is that I've only just bought a GTX 1070 about a year ago (which was used in my old rig), so I could still use it in this system. I wasn't very impressed with it though, in BFV frame rates never got to a point where I felt like I benefited from my 144 Hz monitor. Granted, the rest of the system was from 2012, so I think the other components may have been holding it back (a little?). Would you consider replacing the GTX 1070 or sticking with it for now? Are M.2 SSDs worth considering? And would an AMD processor be a better option these days? Thanks in advance!
