So I figured that I would spend a little more in my upcoming build for either an MX Blue or MX Brown keyboard but I'm not sure which switch is the more well rounded switch for typing and gaming. Because most of the videos I've seen over the years has been that the MX Blue is better for typing and the MX Brown is better for gaming. I think a lot of those videos said that MX Black was a combination of the MX Brown and Blue but the problem is it doesn't seem like there are a lot of MX Black keyboards around. Anyways my question was about the build quality of both the keyboard, I read somewhere that the G710+ had some issues with the key caps cracking or breaking after mild to moderate use and I wasn't sure if Logitech has since fixed that or if the G710+ still has that problem. I would consider using the G910 but Romer-G had a weird feeling to me when I was at a store that had one on display. The key caps felt a little weird but I did actually kind of like it, though I recall that they were a little heavier than the MX Red and a little lighter than whatever the Razer Chroma is using. I might as well mention what mouse I plan on using, that will be the MX Master, I'm not too concerned with DPI of the sensor but mostly concerned with the feel in the hand of the mouse and the MX Master sounds like the best option for that.

So I had a Razer Blackwidow Ultimate 2013 Edition with cherry MX blues, and wanted to buy a new RGB keyboard. So I picked up the New Razer BlackWidow Chroma with the Razer Greens (clicky). AND THEY ARE NOT CLICKY ENOUGH. They feel so soft and mushy compared to my 2013 version. I'm going to return it. Are there any good mechanical keyboards with Cherry MX blues? RGB would be a bonus. I've looked around and haven't really found any with RGB lighting :c Only ones with high rating on Amazon are the Corsair k70 and Corsair Strafe but neither have RGB (with blues). Anyone got a keyboard? Thanks!

Hello I recently started looking for a mechanical keyboard. I found that the cherry mx blue rgb k70 has been discontinued but I really like cherry mx blue. I like the clicky sound. So I started looking in to the non rgb ones but I read the leds start dying quickly. I can't decide to get the RGB cherry mx brown ones, where the leds don't die that fast or the cherry mx blue K70 where the leds die fast. Anyhow, thanks for all the comments to help me.

Corsair posted on their Twitter April 21st that they will be selling K70 and K95 RGB Cherry MX Blue Switch keyboards while supplies last and this will only be available in the US. Here is the link to the Tweet: https://twitter.com/Corsair/status/590653032041439232

Size: Full Layout: US Switch: Clicky Backlight: White (including RGB and other multi-color backlighting) Macros: At least 5 that are customisable and clicky (like M1-5 on the Razer BlackWidow Chroma) Nothing else matters So far I have found: Razer BlackWidow Chroma CM Storm Mech Edit: More criteria added

Hi, so I got my first mechanical keyboard over the weekend (glad to finally be apart of this prestigious club) and I'm loving it but I noticed on some of the keys there is a "ping" noise coming form the spring inside the switch. It isn't particularly loud but when I do notice it it is rather annoying. I turned to Google for help and turns out it's a pretty common problem, mainly with Filco boards, and I saw a few people mention that it's only a problem the first couple of days of use because it's a new keyboard/switches and you just need to give them time to "break in"? If anyone else with this issue tell me if this is true and if it will go away, because like I said it's not an urgent issue it's just a bit annoying. Oh and my keyboard is the Corsair K70 (non RGB) Cherry MX Blue version. Thanks, Paul

Im searching for a Mechanical Keypad for gaming that has a analog stick. I have seen some products from Razer but I'm not a big fan of them and those had "razer" switches and I prefer cherry mx blues. is there any other option?

So im planning to order some O-rings online for my Corsair Vengeance K70 with Cherry MX Blue switches. I got it mainly for the 'click' sound, but bottoming out the keys makes a pretty bad sound, especially through skype calls. So I want to get O-rings that will dampen the bottoming out sound, but keep that click that makes people turned on-I mean happy-what? I can't seem to find the datasheets for Cherry MX online, so I think I'll just ask here. What size (and if possible a link would save my life) O-Rings should I get? If you provide I link, that'll be helpful, but please to something like Amazon or WASD, not some 'joes rockin website, dood' I need a set for a full keyboard with numpad. I won't be doing the spacebar or the shift keys because, to be honest im not comfortable with ones where there's a stabilizer, because, I don't wanna mess up this keyboard. Thanks, Internet

Hi, I ordered my Corsair K70 RGB with Blue Switches in late September after waiting a year for them to be released. Upon recieving the keyboard (which was my first mechanical), I was extremely happy with the quality. However, as you may know, the K70's with the blue switches have some issues with mushiness over time, so much so that Corsair has discontinued them. I am currently seeking for a new replacement for this keyboard as my keys have become hard to press. Would anyone have any recommendations to a replacement? I like lights and flashy features of keyboards. Thank you!

Hi! My mechanical keyboard sometimes registers a single press on the t-key as several presses. It's not a OS or SW problem as it does not happen with other keyboards I have tried on the computer. Do any of you have some idea of how i can try and fix the problem? Prefereble without dismantling the keyboard? I have a QPAD MK-80 keyboard with Cherry MX blue switches. Thanks

Hello all, I have a Corsair K70 with mx blue switches and the very left hand side keys stopped working (esc, squiggly line thing, tab, caps lock, left shift, and left control) and I have reinstalled the driver and even have tried it on my macbook pro with no luck. The switches themselves appear to be clean but when pressed they seem to make a different sound than all the other keys, and the led's still work perfectly fine. Just wondering if anyone has this issue or do I need to replace the switches or what the case might be. Thanks in advance!

Hello there. Recently, I've started out Youtube and I keep getting comments saying "You're keyboard is too loud!". I keep trying to fix it. I've read a lot of forums on how to fix this but none of them have worked. My microphone is an AT2020 XLR with a Blue Icicle and my keyboard is a Razer Blackwidow Ultimate 2013 (Cherry MX blue switches). My microphone has a shockmount and a pop filter with a normal On Stage desk microphone stand. My desk is a pull out tray sort of desk and it has my keyboard, mouse and microphone on it. I have put a towel under my keyboard because I heard it decreases echo if you have a hollow desk but it seems like it does nothing in recording (but I did hear a drastic difference). I have tried to put my microphone to the lowest gain option (on the Blue Icicle) but then I'd have to talk louder, but I don't like talking loud. I've tried talking into the microphone but then my neck would start hurting. I've been thinking about buying a different stand (like a boom arm stand) so that I can talk directly to the microphone and I'm thinking it would decrease the vibration (if I would put it on a different part of my desk) from the keyboard typing. Also, I don't want to eliminate the switch completely but kind of like this video Can anyone help?

Hello everyone. So I finally decided to buy a new keyboard for myself (it was my birthday a couple days ago). I shopped around awhile before finding the Corsair Vengeance K70 with the Cherry MX Blue switches. The aluminum back plate and LED lighting got my attention quickly. Along with the look and tactile feel of the keyboard, I felt like this was the one. Blue switches are my favorite type alongside Buckling Spring keyboards (duh.. they're godly). So I figured this would be a good pick for me as a gamer, and a typist. Only problem being that I can't seem to find it in stock anywhere, checking Newegg, NCIX, Amazon, and anywhere else I could think of. They all are sold out. So my question is; does anyone have any idea where I can buy a new one of these beasties? Keep in mind I only want the Blue switches, but am open to other suggestions such as cooler master or razer keyboards. Thanks in advance! -Buffalo

Hey guys, so I'll keep this short and sweet. Basically I'm in need of a new keyboard and I think a mechanical one with Cherry MX Blues would suit me best (there is no local shops that sell mechanical keyboards so I can't really check which switches I like). I was looking at the das keyboard but the only thing is there is about one website that sells it in the UK that has the UK layout and not the US one. So I was wondering if you guys could recommend any good mechanical keyboards with Cherry MX Blue switches that is under £100/$150 Thanks, Paul

is 1000hz refresh rate really necessary for a keyboard.
ANNIHILATOR284 posted a topic in Peripherals
hey guys, im an currently using the razer lycosa mirror gaming keyboard which supposedly has 1000hz refesh rate and is one of the worst KEYBOARDS ive ever,EVER used and ive hated it ever since i got it and since i spent 5500INR or 93USD i didnt wanna abandon it and no one wanted to buy it off me i used it for almost a year. (enough ranting). a few days ago i stumbles upon a mechanical keyboard of a domestic brand(TVS) .its an indian brand offering a mechanical keyboad with cherryMX blue switches for a very very competetive price and has been in production for almost a decade. its a fairly simple keyboard with blue switches, no backlight, no media keys, ergonomic towards typing,no arm rest for just 1800INR thats is 30USD. no matter where i read all i can read is people praising it for being the perfect keyboard. i am a gamer hence it has a feature missing which is the 1000hz refresh rate (the only thing thats good in my lycosa mirror) and i wanna know is will it make any diffrence atall? and if it dosent ill throw my lycosa in the bin and go buy the keyboard immediately(link below).its called TVS bharat GOLD. please let me know. http://www.tvs-e.in/product.php?detid=38 ps:it has 8 key rollover which is more than sufficient for fps gaming. Pps:when i ment only positive reviews i didnt mean 100% positive, there have been negative reviews too saying its bulky and stuff.- 7 replies

So, this won't be long, but I have some thoughts about this keyboard. I bought this keyboard at Amazon on sale for $70. It was my first mechanical keyboard, and I am mostly not disappointed. It feels great, it looks nice, but it has it's problems. I will break it up in 2 categories. Build Quality / Design For the most part, it has good build quality. It feels solid and it takes a lot of force to bend. The soft touch plastic feels nice, but it picks up moisture and oils like moths to a flame. So, you will be cleaning it a lot. This keyboard has a fatal flaw, one which keeps me from ever recommending it to anyone. The detachable cable is extremely weak, and the mini USB connector in the keyboard breaks easily. If my keyboard's cable is not positioned with force to the right of the connector, it will not make contact no matter what cable I use. Also, I would have liked to see a slimmer design with a more raked drop off from the end of the keys to the end of the keyboard. It gets a 2.5/5 from me. Typing Feel It feels good to type on. Cherry MX Blue switches are very nice, as many have established. They are good for typists and for anyone typing a lot, including programmers, authors and people who write code. I like the feel of the switches, but sometimes my hands become fatigued when typing for long amounts of time since MX Blue switches have an actuation force of 50g with a peak force of 60g. They have a large amount of travel for me, 2mm to actuation, 4mm to bottoming out, but I have become used to that. Overall, good. It gets a 4.8/5 from me. Overall, I give the this keyboard a 7.3/10. It is a great deal for what I paid and earns points for the nice switches and solid feel, but it loses points for the iffy mini USB connector and fingerprint-loving surface finish. I have been contacted by Razer offering to replace my keyboard, but I don't have the time to ship out mine, and I have been spoiled by the Cherry MX Blue switch. This is my first review, and any constructive criticism is appreciated.

Hi everyone, I'm looking for a relatively cheap cherry mx blue mechanical keyboard. No lights, no media keys, no added goodies. As basic as it gets really. I want this as a travel-friendly keyboard so hopefully tenkeyless and blue switches, definitely under $100. I'm considering: - CM Quickfire TKL ($80) - Ducky Zero TKL ($85) - Monoprice 109433 ($80) Maybe you have other suggestions? Has to be from amazon or some page that takes international cards through PayPal though. I could consider browns, but only if the price or availability was a huge difference. Linear switches are out. Thanks!

My Razer Blackwidow Ultimate 2013 is having problems. The lights flash, keys wont register. I have all the latest updates availible for Windows 7, and the keyboard is only 3 weeks old. I have tried a Different USB port, called Razer's tech support, and checked multiple forums. For some reason the keyboard will work on another computer but not mine. any suggestions?

Dutch people at this forum, please help. Is there a pleace to get the Corsair K70 /w MX Blue without $50 [NCIX] shipping? Because i can only find the K70 /w MX Reds but i want MX Blues

I am looking for a mechanical keyboard with Cherry MX Blues and with a regular layout [so with a numpad and arrow keys] and a backlight. I am looking at the Blackwidow 2013 but i have seen many bad reviews on Newegg and Amazon, and i also heard it's overpriced and that the software is crap. Kinda like the Quickfire TK but it's not a regular layout
